After a year of long campaigning, the USGA Presidential Race is finally over. Republican candidate SecNational Security Derek Schmidt prevailed in a close election against Democratic candidate Senator Eric Wright from the state of Lackawanna. Schmidt won the election with 51% of the popular vote, with Wright winning approximately 49%. Schmidt will become the 3rd President of the United States of Gibberish America once he is inaugurated in January 2009, and also be the first purely white president (President Le, the first president, was mixed European and Asian). His electoral vote count is 56 compared to Wright's 44.
