I, Fleet Admiral Krystan Gottfried Emmerich, President-General of Rammsteinburg, propose the formation of a new alliance of militarist states. This alliance will exist for the purposes of mutual defense, war games, trade of military equipment, discussion of new tactics, and much more. If you are interested, please contact me immediately. Once at least five prospective members (not including Rammsteinburg) have been found, a conference will be held to create the constitution of The Grand Warlord Alliance.

As of this point, only one more prospective member of The Grand Warlord Alliance is needed before the conference begins. I have already arranged for the former palace in the city of Ark, one of Rammsteinburg's largest metropolises, to be the location of the event. The date and the agenda for the conference will be announced shortly. Please send me any ideas or questions you may have.

OOC: I will likely start the IC thread for the conference tonight or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow. Though there are now enough prospective members, I would like to give some time for more people to sign-up first.

To offset any potential offenses, the Ordo Drakul would like to state that the Ordo Annilla, our intelligence wing, tends to employ local criminal networks to inculcate ourselves within existing power groups to establish our agents. Not to be offensive, but we have done this within all nations, as our intelligence prefers a "ground-level" view.
Since this is the OOC wing, let me state: we are facilitating smuggling and other such operations, largely to expand our view of your cultures, but we are not above using contacts thus established to our own ends, nor those of our allies.
We will not make an issue of this, and will protest most heartily if it is brought up, but we are doing it, we will continue doing it, and we will deny it whenever asked, but we are deep in your docks, your waste disposal companies, and are often a power in places where one would not seek power, as it enforces our abilities to perform the necessary functions of government. OOC, I will happily reveal our techniques, IC, we will provide intel and perform assassinations as needed, but these things will "just happen"-this is not to impose ourselves, but it is a system created largely to investigate other societies, and we are not above using it to our ends.

It will not be a new region.

Using 2.5 percent rule for a given nation's military, that would put my army at over 200 million units...OK not a gizillion, but a veritable shitload.....

Thanks.....let me know what donations are going to be necessary to get thing alliance going. perhaps we can establish a central base for all nations to send their troops/armor/ships/airforce/etc...

OOC: Eh.... There's more to that rule of thumb. You must take into consideration the size of population to determine whether it is logical to even apply the rule. With a nation as large as yours, 2.5% is pushing it. Consider the logistical difficult of managing 22 MILLION soldiers. The U.S. military isn't even close to that... hell, the Chinese aren't even that close, and they presently have the world's largest population and largest military. In a time of peace, I wouldn't reccommend having any much more than 1 million active duty personnel (about 2 million men/women when you add in reservists). In a time of war, you can exceed this, but 22 million is still way too much.

My nation has over 2 billion people, but my military only has just over 2 million active duty and reserve personnel.

As for the necessary donations, all of that will be determined at the initial conference. Telegram me any issues you want addressed at the meeting, and I will find a place for them in the agenda. The IC conference thread will be up tomorrow.

Your'e right, of course. I've been involved with so many DogPile wars/scenarios over the years that thought nothing of a 20 million man army running amok that I forgot about a little thing called Reality.

So then, a more accurate military count would actually be about a half of a percent of my overall pop. Approx 4 million which would include about 20% support personnel.

Chief Envoy Min-ho Kerak smiled to his hulking seven foot bodyguard as he settled into the plush seat on the hypersonic transport that was presently heading towards the lands of Rammsteinburg. The bodyguard grunted as he shifted in the seat and looked out the window, his glossy black braids fell down past his wide shoulders. A tattoo of a spider on the Inuit’s back right hand was visible and Kerak looked at it. He wasn’t sure what the tattoos were all about with the bodyguards in the Diplomatic Corps, but he never worked up the nerve to ask. Sighing, he looked over the message that was sent by the Ministry of Rites to Rammsteinburg, informing them that Vrak was sending an observation team. He rather hoped to himself that these people were less trigger happy and prone to misunderstandings that the last meeting he went to held in, of all places, Gholgoth. That was a bit of a fiasco, he thought. Although he wasn’t too sure of this one either. Strong warrior spirit? Put your life on the line? Wasn’t the whole point of war is to make your enemy bleed as they defend their lands instead of you dying for yours?

He cast a glance at the beautiful young lady who was asleep across the aisle from him. He smiled and then caught the bodyguard looking at him. Both men exchanged a smirk and Min-ho lay his head on the pillow.
