Neo-Spensonia

33 Islington Street had been the traditional home of the Prime Ministers of Spensonia ever since it had been set aside for them during the 1930s and it had been where many of them had worked and dealt with business when they were not meeting in Parliament. It wasn't as big or luxurious as the homes of foreign leaders were but that was an insignificant matter to many Spensonian politicians such as Richard Savage who had carried the Union Party to power under a platform of populistic libertarianism coupled with devotion to the Spencean doctrines that had been the backbone of Spensonia ever since its conception although he wasn't just famous for his politics but also for his marriage to Bridget O'Connor who had been one of the best known supermodels in Spensonia. Both of them still pursued their careers but were able to get to be together for romantic vacations whenever they could and, as well, they would spend significant time and effort in being in the lives of their children who were all sent to private schools which the Spensonians tried to restrain from having enrollment solely based on the wealth of a child's parents. On what seemed like a simply average autumn day in the capital city of Freetown, Richard Savage spent his time looking over his notes in the room he set aside as his personal study with all his books and portraits adorning the walls such as the one he had with him and his wife cutting the wedding cake which always made him smile whenever the stress of being the leader of a nation got to him too much.
The sounds of his children running around the house made him happy as he worked since he had always said that his duty was to build a great nation for the children to inherit when his generation bit the dust. He had three children in total but all were loved with an equal amount of passion from him and his wife who by now would be talking to the butler about arranging some sort of Irish feast for the family and how she would help cook the meal. Bridget had been a rich woman from a middle class background and she always had an appreciation for cooking her mother's authentic Irish recipies alongside the cook that Richard recieved. The cook didn't mind that the First Lady would want to help him and he regarded this unexpected development with a boisterous laugh. Richard helped cook with his wife on several occassions and was well rewarded for it. As he was reading a letter from the Economic Minister about the rumors that the free market reforms may conflict with the beloved ideas of Spencean Philantrophy, he had heard his youngest child's voice from behind his desk. Four year old Anne Savage had always been curious about her parents' activities and at one time Richard tried to explain her the complexities of working as the Prime Minister although he knew she couldn't understand a single word. She kept on crying for her daddy since she wanted attention and Richard swiftly turned to bestow it upon her with a smile and a hearty laugh whilst holding her above him. There was an incoming call on his cell phone from the Foreign Minister but Richard ignored it for a moment before answering it with one hand while holding Anne with the other quite firmly so that she hung nearly upon his shoulder while he talked.
"It has been decided that we will reveal ourselves to the world then, Mr. Savage? I've already prepared a pretty good message which I can send as soon as you give me the word." Foreign Minister Mikhail Fyodorov said over the phone in his deep Russian accent while sitting in his office with notes in his hand.
Richard smiled. "Of course we will reveal Spensonia to the world, Mikhail! The masses of this nation need to know that there is a whole world out there just waiting to be discovered and studied. We shall hopefully garnish our term with some pretty good successes, Mikhail, and I'm hopeful you will do well. How is your wife doing by the way? With child, right?"
Mikhail nodded with a grin. "Nadezhda is about in her sixth month if memory serves me right and don't worry about the state of the program, Mr. Savage, for I promise you that you will see nothing more than a litany of successes and not a series of unfortunate events."
Richard put Anne down onto the ground while watching her scatter away happily before replying to his friend over the phone. "It is essential that Spensonia is known by the world and vice versa. Give my regards to Nadezhda, Mikhail, and send the message."
Once he had hanged up the phone which he immediately placed in the pocket of his Georgian Era style suit, Richard resigned himself to helping his oldest daughter, Dorothy, with the newest model kit she recieved. It was a model of the first airplane of the Spensonian Air Force and she had rushed to him in order to demand his assistance since he had given his support in other pursuits such as the building of model ships.
Meanwhile, Mikhail Fyodorov had went immediately to work on sending the message he had prepared to the nations of the world while listening to some classical music playing around him since he often said that it helped him focus when he worked. He turned on the laptop with a family portrait as the wallpaper and opened the file that contained the message he created. The message wasn't too long or too short and was relatively straightforward. He made some slight edits before proceeding to send the message to all nations ranging from Ascelonia all the way to Zinaire but not necessarily in that order though. He swiftly sent the message and then resigned himself to looking at family videos he saved on his laptop for the purposes of recreation but he contemplated the move by the Prime Minister to open Spensonia to the world. Would it work?

Yes, this is an Ixanian puppet but will most likely be the last one I will be creating; it's just that I have a good idea that I can't to let go to waste but I don't want to end up clogging the forums with my puppets and, plus, I don't want to earn a bad reputation around here. So, as of now, this is the LAST puppet.
