Cadacross

The banquet was going smoothly in the Great Room. All around, people were eating and drinking, talking and laughing. It was a day of grand celebration, a day that will not be forgotten. After years of civil war and strife a victor finally emerged. The Flaming Embers, a radical militant group, had finally won the War of Independence. And now they were celebrating, clearly joyous to be rid of their former government and to establish a new, prosperous, and powerful government. Their leader and soon to be Dictator, Sefaro Vega, stood up to address the room and the celebrations stopped.
"My brothers, today is a great day, a day that will go down in history as the defining moment for our nation. We've been oppressed for years on end, we rose up against our oppressors and we have proven our strength."
Applause and cheering followed for a few seconds and all grew quiet once again.
Sefaro looked around the Great Room, into each of his generals eyes. Then he turned towards the entrance and signaled to the door-man. The doors were opened and a man, accompanied by two guards, was brought in. The man had clearly been beaten and was covered in his own blood. The man was brought in front of Sefaro and set on his knees facing him.
Sefaro walked to the other side of the room, to the fireplace, and pulled down the flag of the former nation of Alkeliite. He then walked over to the trembling prisoner and placed the flag on the man's shoulders, like a cape.
"Gentlemen. Victory has come to us this day. With the execution of Mr. Cole Hammond, the Dictator of Alkeliite, our nation will have earned it's independence" Sefaro turned and faced the prisoner, "Do you have anything to say?"
The man looked up at Sefaro and then spit on his shoe. Sefaro calmly grabbed a napkin from the table, bent down, and wiped the spit from his shoe. He then grabbed a pistol that was lying on the table and put it to the prisoners head.
"Well said."
The gun went off, and everyone in the room jumped a little bit. There was a momentary silence and then the room erupted in a thunderous cacophony of cheering and applause. Sefaro waved for the room to silence.
"Gentlemen, we have taken the nation's capital. However, the war is not over, it has just begun. There are still Alkelitians who supported Hammond, and they must be dealt with immediately. The time for change and progress is upon us, and with me as your leader I will make this nation a better place. We started as a small group of people, and now, we are in control of the nation. We've come a long way for this. We've worked hard and fought hard, and finally we have risen as the victors. Hail the mighty nation of Cadacross!"
The room once again exploded with thunderous roars, cheers, and hails. The body of the former Party Leader was dragged out and disposed of and the banquet continued.
Transmission to the Nations of the World
"We request the presence of any and all nations who would like to join us in our celebrations of Independence, not just for our nation but for yours also. We are finally a part of your World. A formal dinner will be arranged tomorrow in the Cadacrosian Palace and your leaders are invited to attend. We would like to discuss possible alliances and hear of your nations' exploits and struggles for independence. Please let us know if you plan to attend or if you wish to bestow your blessing upon Cadacross. Thank you and may we live in unity, always."
