Tactical Alert (OPEN, MT)

The Battlehawk
03-11-2008, 23:03
"Unidentified Vessel, this is the RBS Brillience, you will heave to and prepare to be borded, any attempts to escape will result in your destruction" Captain Thomas Paine announced over the radio as his crusier approched the mystery vessel.
"Nothing sir" The comms officer reported "And they are not reduceing speed"
"Fire a warning shot from the main turret"
"Yes sir" The Tactical officer answered and a second later a blast ripped through the dark night and a shot with a tracer in it sped over the Unidenfited ship.
"They are slowing"
"Take us along side carefully" Thomas ordered.
The Brillience pulled alongside hte ship and was beginning to send over a gangplank when the Ship was rocked
"The bastards fired on us!" Tactical reported
"I can feel that!" Thomas shouted back
"They got us at the water line, were taking on water, must have been a torpedo or something"
"They didn't havve any torpedos tubes that I could see, are there any SONAR contacts?"
The Tacical officer never responded as the ship was sturck again and an explosion ripped through the bridge. THe Tac officer was thrown from his seat.
"Captain, we're now listing 21 degress to the sturn!"
"alright, send a message to teh admiralty, have been torpedod, sinking" Thomas said then turned to the other officers "Abandon ship"

<The Next Day>

An attactive young newsreader checked her lines as the camara clickeed on and the ews began to broadcast.
"Welcome to The the Battlehawk News service" She began "The Battlehawk navy has revealed that a crusier has been sank while on operation abroad, there is no information on survivours, we go to the Presidential mansion now"

<THe PM>

"Mr president, what is the latest" A reported asked.
Daniel stopped in his tracks "I can report that the RBS Brillience has been sunk by a hostile force, the cowards who did this will be caught, i promise you that"

OOC: Ok, I need someone to play the Bad guys in this, you can sink have sunk the ship from eitehr the Unidentified ship or a sub. Also ally states would be nice.

Admiral Kolos Lendvai stood proudly on the bridge of his carrier. The UNV Saáry slowly chopped through the international waters with it's escorts surrounding it on all sides and even a few underneath. Kolos was currently watching the horizen with a pair of binoculars, examining the deep blue water that surrounded him. Due to recent reports on the global news segment of UN3 and several discreet fax messages that had appeared on President Saáry's desk, Ursava had promtply dispatched a search force. One of the last things they wanted was an unidentified ship that posed a risk to Ursava's well-being and that of other free countries such as Battlehawk.

"Sir, Wing 3 is reporting sighting of an unidentified vessel." One of the men on the bridge said.

"Put it on the bridge speakers." Admiral Kolos ordered as he lowered the binoculars.

Somewhere Over International Waters

"Command, this is Iriqouis 1: I have visual confirmation on an unidentified vessel moving approximatelly 10 knots, north-north east; over." The Wing leader said as he peered outside his cockpit at the vessel far below.

"Rodger Iriqouis 1: you are weapons free upon confirmation that the vessel is not from another country; over." Came the reply.

"Understood command; over and out." The pilot said as command ended communication.

Then the F-35s moved downwards, ready to attack as soon as they saw the lack of any sort of flag on the vessel. As they approached, their goal was met with the sight of no real symbol of country. Thus the pilots prpped the two thousand-pound bombs they had been carrying and moved in to an attack formation, dropping a small portion of ther payloads.

OOC: Ursava what does prpped mean? Are you dropping them?

18:52 hours...

"Jack, we got 2 eagles inbound...low level low speed"

"Shit, Keep me posted Radar." he grabbed the comm. "Engine room spin up those turbines, I might need all the power we have"

Jack pushed the throttle forward to 40 knots and the Sprite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skjold_class_patrol_boat) roared to life. She pitched back and accelerated, snorting like the demons of old.

And she had the weapons to fight like the demons of old as well. Hidden under her radar absorbent deck were her teeth. The Kashtan CIWS system was mounted on hydrolic jacks, whenever radar perceived a threat the system was pushed on deck where it would engage targets. On the rear deck she had a VLS armed with a mix of IRIS-T's and Exocet missiles. All in all she was faster, but almost equally as well armed as frigates 5 times her size.

"Radar, Paint the aircraft, let them know we see them. Lets hope they aren't trigger happy."
Ursava

OOC: It was supposed to be 'prepped' and yes, they've been dropped as I stated at the end of the post.

OOC: Trigger happy?

Jack grabbed the com, about to ask how the turbines were looking when the ship was rocked by an explosion followed closely by another. If Jack had not accelerated the explosions would have been in his lap.

"Jesus Christ! They're dropping bombs in international waters! ENGINES GET ME POWER! Weapons put a gawdamn missile straight up their ass! Radar find me a squall, I don't want to have to dodge until nightfall!"

Jack looked at his watch. He had 4 minutes till darkness along with the radar absorbent hull would mask his position.

Jack shoved the throttle to the bulkhead, and Sprite responded like pissed off racehorse. With a roar her bow shot into the air as she clawed for speed. Her turbines screaming out their happiness at finally being unleashed.

"Captain! There is a squall 2 miles to the east!"

"Ok, everybody buckle up!"

Jack threw the wheel to port and threw the port turbine into reverse. This effectively pulled the ship around in a hairpin. Once facing east Jack once again slammed both turbines to the bulkhead. And once again Sprite squealed to near orgasm as her inner speed was unleashed.

"Weapons! Where's my firing solution?"

"As soon as I get one of those bastards in range you can be sure that there will be a bird in the air!" The weapons man replied

"Sir! Do you want me to ping the Orion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_212_submarine)?" asked SONAR

"No, if they can't tell what's going on by all the noise we're making then they don't deserve to be pirates!"

It was a mess. Two nations were at war, suddenly and most certainly unexpectedly in the middle of nowhere, and Commander Iyrmin Fylendis had been dispatched with a three destroyer, one cruiser strong breach fleet to get the idiots out of international waters.

"Commander, two tangoes in the sky, and a carrier to top it all. I think we need backup, sir, but the closest carrier to us is IFAM Myrnet and that's in port."

"Call it anyways. Get the destroyers, order them to prep their AA defences and get me a firing solution on that carrier."

"Sir, we don't have clearance to open fire."

"Lieutenant, I fully intend to be able to destroy that enemy the moment I get clearance! Give me the goddamn firing solution!"

"Sir, yes sir!"

"Damn right, Lieutenant!"

"Commander, the Myrnet reports that it is leaving port, ETA 1 hour and counting!"

"Understood!"

"Commander, we have a firing solution!"

"Load the guns and hold!"

"Yes sir!"

The RBS Independance cut through the waters like butter as the nuclear carrier sped towards the site where the Brilliance had been sunk. The Ships CO stood at the end of the flight deck
"Anything Tom?" Captain Jack Aubry asked his XO Thomas Pullins
"We've got some sort of battle going on nearby, a couple of fighters attacking an ship which matachs the discription of the one that sunk the Brilliance" Tom replied
"Very well, change our course to theirs, beat to Quarters, and launch wing 1 and 2 at them, and get those fighters on the coms"

<Shorlty Later>

OOC: Uh, Anemos; a Wing in my military is five, not two. Anyways:

As soon as the fighters got recognition that they were fully targeted they started to play it smart. They could easily keep pace with the ship and despite the coming night-fall night-vision and thermals would make the search much easier. Still the fighteres peeled away, not to home-base obviously. They would go until their scanners read that they were out of radar range and then they would return to the main fleet. They had really done all they needed to do, the ship's crew was rattled and would probably never come anywhere near Ursava or anything flying Ursava's flag for at least a short while.

Thus, the carrier and her escorts would head back to Ursavian waters to restock, resupply, and rest.

Marcom 4th Fleet CBG
"Ursavian fleet, this is the ASD'ian Fourth fleet. You have fired upon a vessel in international waters without hailing them or firing a warning shot. This is in contravention to all generally accepted Navel codes. We Demand that you Halt your pursuit Immediately and heave too until your actions can be considered more fully. Fourth fleet out."
Around 5 kilometers away the ASD'ian ships had watched in amazement as Ursavian Fighters targeted a random unknown ship, without so much as ordering them to halt. This was just not done amongst professional Navies and the ASD'ian Forces wanted to know exactly what had happened.

The RCF Nosferatu 's scanners were picking up cannon shots on the horizon.
"Captain, ships seem to be engaging on the horizon."
"Try to radio." The weathered captain ordered.
"Nothing sir."
"Use shortwave."

The message transmitted was this: "This is RCN Nosferatu of the Chernoblian Navy, please respond with SITREP." The message would repeat to any ship that picked it up.

((Nosferatu is a CVN-21 carrier escorted by the RCN Dracula and the RCN Charlamagne Both are Kongo class destroyers.))

Ursavian fleet has fired upon fleeing ship in ennemy waters with no warning and there are multiple Fleets in the general vicinity. OOC: + you never said any of this until now as far as I could see. Also, no matter how bad your IC ego is, I hate to tell you but you don't have jurisdiction over international waters. I still like the IC ego though, very nice touch to the nation: ;)...unless it wasn't intentional, if not then sorry.

OOC: Bombs tend to be loud and really bright. The explosion would have been picked up easily on SONAR. And radio communication can be picked up by anyone with a reciever

Jack was under a minute away from the squall and safety.

OOC: no its entirely Intentional lol And thats what you think! International waters being International PFFF, tell that to my CBG lmao. As to the LOS bit, I tend to try to stay away from having fleets pop up in the middle of nowhere but I couldn't really get in on this without having one there so I just figgured u'd assume it had been nearby ish the whole time.

OOC: Dynamic, you'd need more than a reciever; you'd need to be on the right frequency. Also, it doesn't matter what one country says when they have most of the WORLD thinking it's international waters. lol. Also, do you mind telling my before just thinking I'd assume something next time please? Also, need I remind you that attempting to seize another country's vessels or stop them in any way is essentially an act of war.

As the message to the Ursavian fleet telling them to stop and prepare to be detained came through, the DaWoad fleet would get the following response:

"Every one of these ships is armed and if you try and stop me you will loose needless lives in an attempt to stroke your over-sized ego. You may gain a few ships but you will loose countless lives in the process. I sear to the good Lord I will sink any ship which attempts to stop the progress of my ships in any way, shape, or form."

Meanwhile, a message had been sent back to Ursava and an official declaration of war was being written...just in case.

OOC: *sigh* Your ignorance is showing. Now if you had a fleet in the area do you think it would be a good idea to listen to the other fleets radio broadcasts? Furthermore in order to communicate with me and tell me to stop you would have to broadcast your message on ALL signals, thus the broadcast would have been picked up by any other vessels in the area.

SO...if you HAD sent out a warning on the radio his fleet would of picked it up

2nd attempting to BOMB a vessel with NO warning is an act of war. I would walk softly if I were you

OOC: Yes, but it would take time to broadcast on all the available channels and need I remind you that you are roleplaying in the position of a rouge, pirate ship: one without a nation. It is not an act of war, just an attack on one ship because of this. Radio Message, Fourth Fleet
"yes we know your forces are armed. You proved that when you bombed a Ships in the middle of the ocean. We are not attempting to board your ships, rather, we are attempting to determine exactly what happened and are suggesting that, for the moment you stop exactly where you are. Firing upon our ships would be an act of war and the response would be in kind. Be warned, compared to our forces your nation is . . .rather insignificant. Should you attempt to go to war with us we can and will annihilate you."
