1.History.
Founded in 1500 by the British Empire as a colony, many British colonists came to the land, thanks to it's large amounts of natural resources which are still there today. The local population were mostly farmers, peaceful and hardworking. A century after its foundation, Kingsland was appointed a Grand Duchy to lead Kingsland as a semi-independent state.
In 1765, the people of Kingsland revoluted. Tired of being simple workers for the British, they led a 20-year civil war in which 2 million died, but in 1785 they were granted independence. As the people celebrated, they slowly grew apart and soon, the First Kingsland War started between the four Kingsland.
In 1825, a peace treaty was brokered and saigned by both Kingsland which remains the sole reason why we see no war today. Each Kingsland slowly built, but North Kingland did execptionally well, and soon exited isolation in 1900, only to be ignored by the community of nations.
As a result, North Kingsland remained as a lone nation, minus the other Kingsland who traded with each other occasionaly. During the Wars of the Century, they remained neutral and become a sleepy nation.
But all that changed recently. The Democratic Party decided to open up embassies to the world. Prime Minister James Ryan led the way, and it looks like the country is set for a new era of prosperity soon as a result.
2. Geography.

Kingsland is located in the Pacific, the South Pacific to be exact. It it despite that, quite cool, with cold, snowy winters, rainy springs, hot summers and cool autumns/falls. It is a huge isle in the west of the South Pacific, as big as Europe, with North Kingsland being the biggest among the divided countries.
The nation has been having colder tempatures recently, which most put down to global warming. The government is taking new measures to tackle global warming, such as the Enviromental Regulations Act, which limits pollution by the government and buisnesses.
