The Republic of Pyrasia is a large, island nation in the Pacific. It has a generally cool climate, with tempatures generally at 24 degrees celsius, and a few hostspots (mostly islands) reaching thirty degrees celsius respectively.
The climkate plays a part in making Pyrasia rich in gold, silver, oil, precious stones & metals, natural gas and coffee, which Pyrasia has been exporting to the world for years.
II. History.
The Republic of Pyrasia was first founded in 1800 after the Spanish granted the large nation independence, before being a colony of the Spanish. The citizens of Pyrasia, nearly all exclusively of Spanish descent, set to a rebuilding process, with education & healthcare being the top focuses of the first government of the nation.
As the nation rebuilded, a young girl discovered quite possibly one of the most important discoveries in Pyrasia; a gold mine. Soon, it was being reported that hundreds of thousands of gold mines were being found, and the government of the day, eager to start a rich economy, set to mining the wonders out of these mines, and soon started harvesting silver mines and eventually, coffee. http://www.jochen-mengel.de/own/holidays/images2002/20020912_409_Colorado_-_Victor_-_Gold_Mine.jpg
In the distance, you can just see one of the many gold mines in Pyrasia.
As several nations of the time like Britain, Russia & Sweden started expressing interest in the natural resources of the nation, the economy started building, with it eventually becoming strong, as it remains today.
In 1914, as World War One knocked on their door, Pyrasia entered the war on the Allied side, and assisted in defeat Germany, at a cost. It took approximately 55% of the National Treasury to rebuild after the war, and a memorial is held yearly to remember the dead.
In 1934, Nazi Germany started a military assault on Pyrasia, seeking to gain a tactical position in the Pacific to assist the Japanese. However, their plan failed, with Pyrasia fighting back to the Nazis and eventually defeating them in 1943, though no nation reported on this important part of the Pacific War.
As the rebuilding after WWII continued, the military decided that, in order to stop other democratic nations becoming a victim of imperialism, it stopped being neutral, as was the policy after WWI. As a result, the nation has not particpated in any wars after WWII, but is ready to defend other nations from threats like Empires & tin pot dictatorships who invade.
III. Politics.
