'Finally almost the whole world was combined against the evil-doers, who are now prostrate before us. Our gratitude to our splendid Allies goes forth from all our hearts in this Island and throughout the British Empire.

We may allow ourselves a brief period of rejoicing; but let us not forget for a moment the toil and efforts that lie ahead. We must now devote all our strength and resources to the completion of our task, both at home and abroad.

Advance, Britannia! Long live the cause of freedom! God save the King!'
- Sir Winston Churchill

Introduction

The Commonwealth of Nations is a Grand Military, Economic and Political alliance of Great Powers. Owing her roots to the great Britannic civilisations of the past, the Commonwealth now seeks to bring peace, justice and liberty to the peoples of nationstates. Her mighty navies will rule the waves once more.

Charter

1. The Commonwealth of Nations shall be an alliance of powers commited to their mutual defence, and the advance of peace, justice and freedom under the auspices of Britannic civilisation.

2. The Commonwealth of Nations is open to all nations who accept the aims of the alliance and:
i) have a significant English-speaking population
ii) are democracies
iii) are willing to recognise Her Majesty the Queen as head of the Commonwealth

3. An attack on a member of the Commonwealth of Nations is an attack on the entire Commonwealth, and we shall act to defend our own.

4. All members shall commit to a Commonwealth Expeditionary Force (CEF) that will be able to deal with hostile situations abroad and respond rapidly to attacks upon our members.

5. All members shall trade freely with one another.

6. All member nations, including Great Britain, shall dedicate 1% of their GDP to the Grand Commonwealth Fund, to be distributed for the good of the Commonwealth by the Head of the Commonwealth.

7. Member nations of the Commonwealth shall have preferential guaranteed access to British North Sea oil.

The Allied States of New Kereptica are interested in this alliance. We have but one question. How can an alliance that supposedly supports democracy have, as it's leader, a monarch? A relic from a failed empire nontheless.

Allied States of New Kereptica,

Great Britain is a constitutional monarchy - the oldest working system of democracy still in existance.

We are pleased to hear you are interested in the Commonwealth. I hope you will be able to join.

OOC: Third Spanish States is part of a divided Spain between anarchism and Bolshevism which now is fighting for the reunification of their country, and also a sort of boundary-less place for anarchists of the entire world, so it became more or less an internationalist sort of place not so linked with Spain as it was in the beginning.

GB is simply a cultural and political analogue of the real life country (or, rather, the real life country had there been no world wars or a labour party...). I am not running an 'alternate history thread'.
