Cordena Invades Breakaway Kosifa.

The Cordenan Government confirmed today that the Cordenan Armed Forces are set to invade the breakaway republic of Kosifa, who have recently been bombing Cordenan towns and cities.

Kosifa, who have been communist since their declaration of independence in 1985, have been buying masses of military equipment since the 90s, and now it is proved such buying was for a war with Cordena.

However, as Cordena rushes in, the ultra-modern Cordenan Armed Forces look set to destroy the breakaway region, and unite Cordena again. This comes just after news that Cordenan Oil Company, a nationalized company, have been having record profits of $500 thousand USD per day thanks to buisness with foreign nations.

Kosifa have made a plea of help to the world, ranting about how the 'Cordenan Polar Bear' will 'rip open Kosifa'. Indeed, that is an impossible claim, as Cordenan Polar Bears are much too peaceful and tame to do so, but the fact remains.

Cordena's military is approximately 3% of the population, with Kosifan military being 5% of the population. However, Cordena's military is ultra-modern, with the latest equipment and a new stealth bomber, the CPB-10 Lightening, set to become one of the world's best bombers, while Kosifa is a conscript army with equipment from the 90s, leaving a certain Cordenan victory likely.

Here at CBC News, we will keep you informed on the latest from the Cordena/Kosifa War and other situations from across Cordena and the worlds.

((OOC: Cordena is a democratic semi-presidental republic since it's founding. Kosifa has been communist since it's declaration of independence, mainly seeking to make the world communist.))

Dear Chernoybl-Pripyat,

We would like to advise your nation not to assist the Kosifans. We are not invading, but merely defending ourselves from the growing threat from this breakaway republic, who have bombed several of our towns.

Also, be informed that they have a open and public history of supporting terrorism.

President Vladimir Ivanovich.

While it is regretful to hear that, I must insist that we are currently unable to stop the situation at hand regarding the volunteer fighters due to manpower shortages.

We understand and misread the reports. We are taking action on these terrorists.

Lenin Forest, Kosifa.
5:45pm.
C Spetsnaz Operation.

Elena Golavko, 22-year-old soldier, walked through the large, snow-covered forest confidently. She had her AK-47 in her hand's grasp firmly, with her large winter furcoat and her earflapped fur hat keeping her body heat in, along with a host of other clothing including the black C Spetsnaz clothing and Kevlar body armour. She could hear the near silent footsteps of her squadron behind her, dressed much like her.

Out in the distance, a helicopter, much like a UH-20 Blackhawk, was in the distance. They had heard of the 'terrorists' coming to assist Kosifa, and they had been sent to stop them by planting a little known thing called a bomb in the area.

The bomb itself was being carried by 25-year-old Private Dmitry Volavkia. It was large, big enough to destroy and kill everything in a 2 mile radius.

"Forceman, plant it..there," ordered Elena, as Dmitry ran over to where she had pointed and started arming it.

Whenever he was done, he covered it with snow and the squadron got the hell out of there.

KGB Directors office

Korshanenko sat in her office staring at the ceiling. At the moment, there wasn't anything to do, since the military was still trying to restore order to the country and in some places it got worse.

One of her aides knocked on the door.

"The door is unlocked, come in."

The assistant came in and asked her about the situation in Kosifa.

"What we're gonna do... is nothing."

"But you said..."

"I know what I said. And like I said, there isn't anything we can do. There is bound to be fighters from all over the place heading there, so they can't pin it all on us. They'll likely be able to trace a lot of small arms and other weapons here, but our stuff has shown up just about everywhere, especially recently due to the civil war. Actually.. See if the airforce can spare a reconnaissance plane, do a couple of flyovers, and then I'll judge what we should do."

"What if they shoot it down?"

"If it comes to that, we'll put pressure on them. If they don't claim responsibility, we'll arm their enemy." Ulya tells the assistant, as she rummages through the desk for a lighter.

"I doubt anything will happen."
