From the Channel 10 news room, Googleopolis, this is Channel 10 Evening News with Rod Old and Elle McGrath…
The Department of Defence is to offer examples from the Navy’s recently completed next generation blue water fleet on the international market according to a statement made by Secretary of Defence, Donald Ducksfelt today. Such a sudden change in policy has surprised journalists and analysts alike within the capital as the development of the state of the art vessels collectively known as project ‘Neptune’ has until now been shrouded in secrecy. The Department of Defence has also never before allowed the sale of home grown military technology outside of Googlewooper borders. Speaking from the Congressional Parliament Building in Googleopolis, the Secretary said the primary motivation for the move centred on budget issues from the late in the project’s development.
Ducksfeld: “With the sale of these vessels, the Navy will be able to complete the project under budget which would previously have been impossible. The funds collected from the anticipated transactions will also allow the number of ships ordered to enter service with the Googlewooper Navy itself to be increased by an estimated 20%.”
Ducksfelt went on to say that the volatile nature of the current international environment and the need to defend the maritime borders of Googlewoop’s allies and other, emerging democratic nations had also influenced the cabinet’s decision. He also offered his assurances that comprehensive measures would be implemented to ensure the technology did not fall into the wrong hands.
The new fleet represents the pinnacle in naval technology for the modern age and was developed in a joint effort by trusted government contractors McGoogle Douglas, Lockheed Google and Googleopolis Motors.
After the break; Sport with Ian Toeey.

To the international community in general
While not previously revealed to the press, Project ‘Neptune’ has been completed and evaluation models are available for delivery immediately with any order. Production models are well under construction and orders will be filled promptly. Other than the SH60 helicopter, aircraft are not supplied. Buyers must be able to demonstrate the presence of a permanent democratic government, ability to pay (payment plans available on request) and ‘secure’ foreign policy. Newer nations looking to establish or modernise there navy are especially welcome. Prices will be supplied upon receipt of interest.
