Several days after Lord Dreadfire issued a public statement concerning the revival of an age old nemesis of Automagfreek, activity around Camp Rock military base began to dramatically increase. Staff and troops had already been in a flurry ever since the mass Gothic invasion of Mediterranica, to which AMF had committed a modest but formidable detachment from its vast military arsenal, so it was unlikely that the deployment of a small but well equipped Freekish fleet would cause much greater commotion abroad. However the Supreme Warlord had made it clear that a revived FWS would not be tolerated, and the direction in which the Freekish ships began to congregate would likely draw some suspicion as to Automagfreek's true intentions.

Charged with the task of dealing with New Fascist White States would be the long missing Azrael's highest officer, or, his 'Deathklaat' by the name of Alerick Fleshgrinder. This man was known far and wide as the one directly responsible for the genocide in British Londinium, and his reputation as a cold and cruel man was undoubtedly widespread...and his presence at the head of the Freekish fleet would inevitably raise eyebrows. At Alerick's command were elements of the 4th Sentinel Marine Expeditionary Force, the 525th Legion of Elites, and assorted special operations personnel. The 4th SMEF boasted an experienced air wing with both crew and pilot serving with distinction in multiple conflicts both large and small, specializing in military operations with relatively small numbers and assets at their disposal.

Meanwhile at the Great Hall, the reply to Lord Dreadfire's statement to the New Fascist White States government displeased him greatly. In trying to ensure a potential conflict did not arise, Kaiser Von Wilhelm's tone and ignorance of history pushed Damien ever so slightly in the wrong direction, for he was a man that demanded respect and would tolerate nothing else. While not outright insulting, it did in essence call into question Dreadfire's knowledge of both people and history, for in his experience whole societies of people could not change overnight or even over the course of generations. He remembered all too well the multiple wars fought with the likes of MagicChina and British Londinium, and he knew that a country comprised of (what he viewed as) scum would never truely 'change' to the point where it no longer presented itself as a threat to Freekish interests.

Thus later that evening, a press conference was called on behalf of the Defense Department concerning the deployment of warships in a direction inconsistant with the Mediterranican operation...warships that were slated to be sent to that front as reinforcements. When asked directly, Chairman Bonesplitter replied casually and briefly.

Lord Dreadfire was quite clear in his statement earlier in the week concerning the revival of an old Freekish enemy, Fascist White States, so I'm afraid I have little else to add. All I can say at this time is that Automagfreek is acting as it sees fit in order to defend its interests overseas, and as a result punitive actions will be taken against New Fascist White States. We believe that an unworthy people long since conquered should remain conquered, and in keeping with that principle we will begin moving assets into the area as soon as possible.

To what extent our operations will be, I cannot say. I, however, urge third parties to remain neutral during this time. Any interference in Freekish affairs will result in swift actions taken against the offending country or entity, and to show how serious we are I have authorized additional Sentinel forces to be placed on immediate standby. That is all I have to say at this time, thank you.

I denounce the blatant and unabashed hostilities that the aggressive imperialist entity of Autmoagfreek is attempting to level on my nation. Our nation is completely innocent of any transgression against said nation, this obvious invasion force a pawn in a strategic plan for world domination - subjugation of all whom Dreadfire’s boot can crush. The nation of Fascist White States has done nothing but work towards its own self betterment, in fact, apologizing for previous transgressions by an ex government and in fact taking that government down. All we desire is to better our own nation, prosper and grow, and move towards the future. All we get is hostility, unbiased and unabashed blatant imperialism, belligerent warmongering.

OOC: I can't think of a single military power that exerted significant, widespread influence with a small population. Even the Spartans got their asses handed to them by the sheer number and quality of the Roman legions in the invasion of Greece.

Big countries have better armed forces by far. Germany, the USSR, the US...all of them had large populations.

Whilst Adenia cannot condone war under any circumstances, let alone the application of grievous numbers of troops, causing inevitably horrific numbers of casualties that are easily avoided, we cannot at this point reasonably commit forces in any direction.

Concerning the insolence being displayed by Syngia and Dynamic Revolution, I would advise the leaders of both of these insignificant countries to quickly recoil their inflammatory statements and beg Lord Dreadfire for mercy before you both are turned into debris. Fascist White States is at our mercy, and we do not require assistance either from our esteemed allies or those seeking to ride our coattails to victory. How dare you threaten the sovereignty of our nation! We express our disgust over your actions and you threaten us with war! This is most unreasonable. We never threatened war, we never promised reprisal. We will not retract our statements, nor 'beg Lord Dreadfire for mercy'.

Grand Commodora Steiner rubed her temples. This was absolutely insane! Dynamic Revolution stood close to nill chance of surviving this war.

"I didn't expect any less. I can't say that I blame them. Well comrades, welcome to the Alamo."

The Freeks had an interesting, tragic story, albeit a bit legendary in some parts, of how a powerful conqueror and oppressor was born. It was ironic however, how likely it would be for her to openly advocate the destruction of any newly established fascist State before it grew too big, if they were not already busy in a more important theater of war. Cecily however knew that her ends, the ends of their people were completely different from the ends of those who conducted such murderous campaign, even though some of their means could match.

What impressed more however, was their clear lack of strategic finesse and bent on the inefficient but effective approach known as "overkill", probably due to a State that did not need to worry with manpower for war, just like their current enemy, the People's Republic of Spain, which unlike the Freeks, has been losing ever since, despite their numerical superiority. The Confederacy cannot force people into draft, and their officially isolationistic policies would fare well for their continued survival. Only fools would risk their skins for another fascist state which, if given the chance, could turn as or worse than Automagfreek.

Such thoughts were occurring in a peculiar meeting room, purportedly darkened where Cecily sat down on a comfortable, black leather armchair, bathed in shadows, as were all those she addressed in the dimly lit room. Shadows of a government, ghosts that did not exist, that had no recognized power, only the power of their influence and secrecy. There, an artificial, emotionless voice of a text-to-speech engine said, in accordance to the subject such unknown group was discussing:

"The Freeks are a regulating force, a big dog able to eat other big dogs, but sufficiently populated to have some serious, but seemingly controllable issues. As they are completely oblivious to the existence of the Confederation, as large parts of the known worlds due to ours 'isolationist' policies, the likelihood of they ever targeting the Confederation out of blue is practically nil. As the Confederation is not, well at least officially, a politically unified entity, coupled with its isolationism, it is far from perceived as a threat. We mind our own businesses, and we are no fools to risk multiple wars."

A silence then came, blackening the room, as the artificial voice continued with its monologue, raising one concern which perhaps the Freeks themselves only served to remind about:

"Now it comes to one thing: As you know from their sketchy history, their current government is somehow related to a supersoldier project... and, I know it is far-fetched, and that a coup would lead to much bloodshed and street fighting, but would ultimately fail. Still, better safe than sorry. I suggest we have some safeguards for the Project. Something like a kill switch, that would allow for us to quickly kill any that got the power too high on their heads before they could bring tragedy."

"Absurd! This idea is a complete contradiction to everything we stand for! The Project is made of volunteers, completely assured and certain of their ideals and political beliefs, who would never do something like that! Now to implant people with devices that allow them to be killed? That seems more of a threat to the freedom of everyone than these people. What if fascists takes control of the switch to attempt forcing them to fight for them? We are not experimenting on unwilling people, after all." a different, artificial voice came. Cecily simply became surprised to hear that. For apparently, certain things happened that not even a head of State would know about, she began to type in a hidden console then, as the words were translated into another voice:

"Why wasn't I informed of this? Free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. I don't like the implications of this "Project", and I want to know what the hell of super-soldier bull this project is about."

"You are in the wrong role, miss Lockhelm. You are better with bullets than with words. As for your question, lets just say that there is only one way for you to know the answer." another artificial voice said, enigmatically, indicating that perhaps she was not supposed to know.

"What? How do you know who am I? Why are you holding this information from me? I don't like where this is going. You are lying! You are conducting experiments on unwilling subjects, aren't you?" Cecily then questioned, as her nerves began to rise.

"Because we were intent on meeting you. Now Lockhelm, lets us say that the Project is about non-conventional soldiers, with non-conventional weapons, for non-conventional warfare against numerically superior enemies and against unaware enemies, and that our anti-rad drug research with nanotech is showing some great promise, although it'll take some years to mature. If you wish to know more, we have only one request: that you volunteer for the Project. It's really unfortunate to see your real skills wasted in bureaucratic morass Cecily, while others are fighting for real to the cause."

"But... will I be put into conditions of pain, suffering, physical or psychological harm? And what price will I have to pay for this?" Cecily asked. Her life has been a sea of boredom, with the only interesting thing being the gaffe she did back when she visited Aresium a few days ago. She knew they would not backstab them, for the Network was fair with its members, even if severely lacing in ethics regarding the means to achieve their ends.

"Well... it won't really hurt you that much, and sometimes you'll need lots of patience and will. You must be prepared to make sacrifices however. Like... your social acceptance. If you accept, from this day on, you will be officially dead, like most of us."

Suddenly she felt a sting on her back, and shouted erratically "Fu.." Everything began to wane. Cecily felt herself number with each second, and her eyes weighed heavily. Thinking whether she has made a mistake or not, she fell down unconscious.

As for the events related to Automagfreek, they were only a convenient opportunity for a discussion of such subject. In accordance to a foreign policy that "actions speak louder than words", no official or semi-official statement was released, and the events were too distant from their current reality and worries for people to care about.

As soon as they learned the truth about Steelios' declaration the forces were pulled back. The withdraw of Steelios made the King and parliment think again about their Position. It was put to a vote this time, and it was decided that Calendrandia would not get involved in the war, not even covertly. The king had fought against the repositioning with all his influence and power, but he was over ruled.

Naval defenses were being bolstered across all the coasts of Fascist White States. Sonobouys were dropped in defensive patterns, hydrophones laid on the bottom of littoral and further coastal waters as submarines stepped up patrols, SONAR detecting the Freekish subs only so far away.

ELINT planes worked in conjunction with AWACS aircraft, trying to gather as much intelligence on the enemy fleet as possible. More passive RADAR installations were laid out as active and already placed passive continued to run, gathering more information than they were releasing.

Von Wilhelm crushed a fat cigar into the mound of ashes accumulating in his ashtray, forcefully stuffing it in. Cowardly bastards. Splayed in front of him was information on Steelios and a smattering of other nations who had hinted promise of aid, but gave in to their spineless demands and shrank back from fear of Automagfreek.

As the statement was sent, the conversation continued between both, as they discoursed regarding the content of the message, wondering, while Cecily hoped to not regret doing that. Miguel commenced, by immediately making a question as he readed the statement:

The planes were now on their way to NWFS. They had taken off hours ago, and many of the pilots were on guard for a Freekish air patrol. The planes were protected by long range LA-22 Halo fighters and F-22 Raptors they were coming as prizes to the NWFS air force since it was unlikely they would return. On board the planes were tens of thousands of professional mercenaries that had fought in so many different actions. They were excited at the prospect of fighting the Freekish Sentinels. Of course Look Incorporated also had to give out extra ammunition to the mercenaries because the blockade would curtail any supplies, unless it was destroyed. When the planes were near the NWFS mainland, they quickly asked for a air field to land immediately.

Meanwhile, Look Incorporated's naval mercenary fleet was on its way. It would be to late for the fleet to arrive before the blockade was set up, but it would have a chance to destroy the Freekish naval forces.

General Stockwell looked at his self in the mirror. He looked old, tired.

With a final glance at the mirror he left his chambers and headed towards Steiner's 'War Room'. As he exited the room two Marines flanked him on either side and slightly to the rear. As he walked his face slowly transformed into iron, strong, unyielding.

He stopped and faced the door to the war room. Stockwell looked at his marines....his sons...they gave him a brief nod. That was all he needed.

With a quick side kick the doors flew open. The scene inside was chaotic, Admiralty, generals, aides, and soldiers all ran around in what could only be described as ordered chaos.

An Admiral tried to sneak into the group, and he was instantly hit across the face with a rifle by one of the marines. Blood poring from his face he fell to the ground sobbing. The Sergeant and his men marched out of the 'War room' and back to the barracks.

Stockwell looked at the Admiral at his feet, blubbering, like a bitch.

M'Lord, Lucian's forces are prepared and are ready to depart to any location in a matter of hours, all we require is your command. However, there is a problem.... Hartman then slapped a small stack of documents down onto Damien's desk, and sighed deeply. It appears Steelios is already begging for our mercy, but there are still several others who are opposing us according to our intelligence. Dreadfire flipped through the pages and scanned the contents casually, his mind already made up about which course of action Automagfreek was to take. Their time will come, but for now we are to concentrate on the task at hand. I'm more than confident in Alerick's ability to maintain his blockade and fight off those who have seen fit to meddle in our affairs, but I want Lucian to take to the sea and linger as a sign that we are serious about taking the fight to anyone who stands in our way.

Alerick's forces had now closed in on the territorial waters of New Fascist White States and began to position themselves into their blockade formation. Submarines prowled the depths both deep inside and far outside the fleet's perimeter, and high flying Stratosfighter II's skimmed the upper reaches of skies looking for any airborne threat. Long range cruise missile strikes were in the final stages of preparation against the usual military targets (airfields, communication arrays, power grids, etc.), which would then be followed up by an aerial strike package. While the capabilities of the enemy air force was unknown for the most part, it was believed by Alerick that the highly trained Freekish pilots flying the latest generation aircraft would be able to overcome whatever odds they would be stacked up against. It was also clear that third parties would be attempting to defy Lord Dreadfire's decree and would likely attempt to break the Freekish blockade, but the drive, determination, and experience of the flight crews and sailors would give them a distinct advantage.

With all of the pieces in place, the first long range cruise missiles were loosed from their cells and put forth into the air. The first targets to fall under attack by Alerick would be any NFWS asset capable of intercepting or engaging Freekish warplanes from the ground, and thus anti-radiation missiles were also fired strategically to target enemy radar installations and blind them. Satellites had carefully scanned the various airbases around the nation and began to taget them almost exclusively for the first wave of missiles, though additional targets were already being sighted in for additional strikes once confusion and panic began to set in amongst the enemy ranks.

Another issue that Alerick would have to deal with would be the presence of enemy naval units from both NFWS as well as those who may attempt to run the Freekish blockade or attempt to break it fully. The Deathklaat had every confidence in the ability of his ships and crew to hold against whatever was thrown their way, but Freekish doctorine called for every precaution to be taken regardless the threat. As a result, reinforcements that had lingered in the waters off AMF proper for days were being sent into international waters in case Alerick required their assistance. It would also send a strong message that Automagfreek would not hesitate to take the fight directly to anyone who dared to interfere.

Ground forces were already massing in the designated assembly areas on board their respective transports, and would hit the beaches once the missiles had their chance to soften up the enemy's ability to detect and engage Freekish warplanes. Amphibious assault vehicles would drive ashore alongside the armored landing craft, while FAF-1 'Vassago' attack helicopters provided air cover alongside 'Sea Scorpion' fighters in addition to naval based cannons. A dozen landing zones had been sighted for incursion, and appropriate measures were being taken to soften up enemy resistance in said areas and prevent reinforcements from arriving. Destroying any armor or artillery that could potentially threaten the main landing force would be a main priority if the Sentinels were to secure any kind of real estate. The Freekish swarm continued to unleash hell from long range as men and material made their final checks before assembling in the waters amidst the warships in preparation for the first of what looked to be many land battles.....

The man clutched a sheaf of papers in his hand before he straightened his posture and took a gulp for courage, placing his hand on the doorknob. Slowly opening the door, the man strode into the room and approached Von Wilhelm.

“Sir, I have bad news.”

“What is it now!?”

“Dynamic Revolution…they, they aren’t going to assist us. Reports are just coming out, but some type of leadership shift occurred and they will not be assisting us now.”

“What in the -”

Before Von Wilhelm’s anger could bubble out further a number of uniform clad men ran in, medals banging from side to side.

“Sir, we’re under attack. AMF has launched his first wave against us, defenses are currently on line and responding. We are at war.”

“Then it seems that, as of now, we stand alone. Well, to war.”

Active, passive, and bi-static radar were compiling information as ELINT systems sent defense orders all over the nation. Defensive missile silos opened up as missile screeched out in an effort to take down the enemy cruise missiles. Following that land based cruise missiles streamed off towards Freekish naval assets as coastal batteries readied their guns for when Freekish units came in range.

Sirens wailed as lights flashed at military installations across the Fascist coast. Airmen scampered on the ground, flooding into fighters, bombers, interceptors and more. Freshly versed on the functions and operations of the donated technology, the airmen pulled their birds into the sky, trying to get as many into the air before missiles slammed into the airbases.

Fascist ships made their way towards Freekish vessels, launching long range cruise missiles towards them while readying all other weapon systems for when the two navies got closer.

The air was choked with missiles soaring each way as tubes slammed down into radar installations, sending fire and shrapnel everywhere. As the Fascist air-interception capability suffered, airmen were still trying to get as many planes into the air as they could. But now, the missiles had reached their destinations. Planes were just taking off the runway before missiles smashed in, sending explosive waves which consumed the men and planes that hadn’t managed to take off.

Those who had gotten into the air, though, did what they could to confound Freekish maneuvers. What had hopes of stopping cruise missiles were fired at them before select aircraft made their way towards the Freekish fleet, launching scores of anti-shipping missiles before thrusting forward, preparing to engage Freekish aircraft.
