The weather was beautiful, not a cloud to be seen to the horizon on this hot summer day in Vitalita, ViZion. Nick Kilo, son of ViZion's president, awaited the arrival of his new found friend at Vitalita International Airport, wondering if THIS would be the guy...

"Yeah, well, we'll just see about that, won't we?!" Adelai slammed the aircraft's phone down into the cradle.

"Was that Mr. Tikhomirov?" Donald asked as he placed a glass of water on a table next to Adelai.

"Yes...Vladislav is bragging that his new OS will revolutionize UCAV operations," he steamed, "But MERLIN will knock his puny little toy outta the skies," Adelai smiled, nodding to the laptop on the desk.

"Well, competitiveness in the Defense Directorate will have to wait for the moment, Master Adelai," Donald said, "We're landing at Vitalia airport."

"Do I...look all right?" Adelai asked. He'd long changed out of uniform and opted for a pair of jeans, an Air Force shirt and a white pull-over hoodie.

"You look dashing, sir," Donald answered.

The CV-35 landed without incident, its engines pivoted so that it could land in VSTOL mode. It taxied over to the terminal and stopped, the internal ramp descending from beneath the cabin door. With a deep breath, Adelai stepped through the open hatch and down the stairs.

"That must be him..." Nick said below his breath, being quite nervous having never met up with a guy for anything beyond being friends. Oh boy... here we go... he thought to himself as he began to walk toward the ramp.

Nick was dressed in flipflops, khaki shorts, and a white tank top - typical guy wear around ViZion's western coastal cities on sunny summer days like this. He figured he'd best keep his shirt ON, one thing he generally didn't do when out-and-about on such a wonderful day as this.

As he approached Adelai, he took a deep breath and forced his nerves down, "Hi, Adelia? I'm Nick." he said, slightly on edge, not quite sure what to say to a guy. He'd been with girls, however mostly for show and he wasn't sure if should act any differently with a guy. "Welcome to ViZion!" he then announced.

The terminal at Portland's Fennerby Airport had the usual hustle and bustle of international flights going to and fro. The destinations: Praeton, Daurmont, Dowland City, Timiocato all rushed by Joseph Andrews' head like strange names from the distance.

Finally, he saw the flight number and destination he wanted: Vitalita International Airport, Vitalita ViZion. He looked down at his ticket, then looked up at the board again. The desk attendant smiled expectantly and said, "sir? May I help you?"

"Uh, I'm supposed to go on Flight 236 to Vitalia?"

"I assume you mean Vitalita?"

"Uh, yeah, sorry," Joseph stammered, looking down with a slightly downcast expression.

"That's OK. May I see your boarding pass?"

Joseph had a sudden look of confusion on his face until the attendant smiled and pointed at his right hand.

"That's it right there," she said.

"Oh this? OK." He handed her the ticket, which she looked at and punched some numbers into the computer.

"All right, your flight should be boarding in the next half hour. Feel free to have a seat over at the lounge. We'll call your row when we're ready to begin boarding. Enjoy your flight."

Joseph smiled and nodded weakly. He turned away to go find a seat ... until he felt a sudden urge to sprint to the restroom. He walked in and found the nearest toilet and soon deposited the morning's breakfast into the bowl.

When he emerged from the toilet, he washed his face and brushed his teeth, drawing curious looks from other passengers.

"Is this your first flight," a little boy who couldn't have been more than 8 asked.

"N-no," Joseph said. It was true. He and his parents flew to Timiocato for a family vacation three years prior. Then there was the trip to Nicksia to visit the Naval Museum.

Get a hold of yourself, Joseph thought to himself. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He looked himself over in the mirror for what seemed like the 20th time that morning. And it wasn't even 10 a.m.

"Flight 236 to Vitalita International Airport, now boarding rows one through four," came the voice on the intercom system. It didn't seem like half an hour. On one hand, it seemed like seconds ago that Joseph went into the restroom, but it also felt like forever. He quickly hustled out of the restroom on his way to the gate when he heard someone yelling out behind him.

"Sir! Sir!"

Joseph whirled back. He saw a strange man holding ... his carry on bag.

"You left this in the restroom," the man said, handing him the bag.

"Thanks, sir."

The man left before Joseph could speak loudly enough to be heard. He then checked the rest of his belongings. They were all there. He took in another deep breath and exhaled again. Then he walked up to the attendant, who pointed him toward the plane.

[OOC: This has already gotten long, so you can start RPing with Joseph's arrival if you wish. I might fill some stuff in about the flight in a flashback post.]

"Thanks," Adelai answered, extending his hand to shake Nick's hand, hand-to-elbow style. He then leaned in and gave him the customary kiss on either cheek. "I'm Adelai, and it's great to meet you in person, Nick."

Nick looked on at the gate waiting anxiously. He had been waiting for what seemed a year, but he had only arrived at the gate moments prior. Finally deciding to take a seat, he looked around. Not many people here... he thought to himself. As he looked back, he noticed the airliner slowly pulling in, the guides men below signaling it straight forward with their lighted sticks.

A couple of moments later, the doors propped open and a slowly stream of people began making their way out. Then he saw a young man. Nicely built, blond hair, about six feet - and looking slightly lost. "Joseph? Joseph Andrews? I'm over here!" Nick yelled at him, waving and walking towards him.

Nick was caught off guard by the peck on his cheek, but recovered quickly, hoping Adelai didn't noticed. "It's great to meet you too. In person." Nick said. "How was the trip in? First time here?"

"Yes, though this is not my first time overseas," Adelai explained. "I was only in the ADF for a couple years, but I was sent all over the place upgrading OS's and networks," he chuckled bashfully. He nodded to the plane, "You like the plane? I designed it, y'know." He smiled a smile of accomplishment; not as a way to get recognition, but as to take pride in something he'd created.

"Yeah, I've traveled quite about, although likely not as exciting of travels as you have been on - most of the time, it has been with my dad on diplomatic meetings." he said, then turning his attention to the aircraft, "You designed the artwork, or the aircraft itself?" Nick inquired, quite interested.

"Ehehe, the aircraft, silly," Adelai chuckled. "The CV-35 Globe Star; medium lift transport capable of VSTOL with a range of over 3,000 nautical miles, utilizing four GE PE1000-F20 turbofans thrusting at 35,000 foot-pounds each," he beamed. He looked up, a bit embarrassed, "Oh, sorry. Let me know if I start talking too techy." Crap, Addy, why'd you do that? he asked himself.

"No, no, it's quite impressive, really. It is." Nick said, looking on quite enthusiastically. "You know, Streamline Aeroplanes (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=533444), based here in Vitalita, might be a great place for you to look into working if you ever look at anything outside GE." he said. "And surely my father would put in a good word for you." he added with a smile.

"But we can talk about that later if you'd prefer to head out and get to know each other a little more." he said, nodding towards a sleek, sporty looking hatchback, the Ando-Trephin (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=533979) Medina, powered by the performance-oriented 2-cylinder Oppose Piston Engine powering all four wheels.

"Eh, I'll first had to beat Vladislav before I could even think of leaving the company..." Adelai's temper started to show. It vaporized as he caught sight of the car. "Ooh, nice..."

"Who's Vladislav?" Nick asked. After Adelai commented on his car, his focus changed quickly, "Ya, I love it. It's a couple years old and I've already put a good 45,000 miles on it. She's a good little car, fun to drive... fast." he said with a grin. "Let's get outta here. Did you want to see the city? Go to the beach? Or head to my place first to drop your stuff off and get settled in?" he inquired.

"He's no one of consequence," Adelai dismissed his rival. "As for destination...I'll gladly follow wherever you wanna take me," he winked, all thought of business pushed out of his mind.

Nick smiled, "Let's first drop off your stuff at my place and then I'll show you a couple places..." he said winking back then opening the passenger door for Adelai.

I admire your fight for homosexual rights in your country, and being able to stand up to the pressure of the media and outcry of some citizens in your country.

It would be a pleasure to meet you here in ViZion for a few days - when would you be able to make it here? And might I ask what your last name is?

I am glad that we will soon be able to see each other face to face. I am taking a flight to ViZon within a day, I do not wish to make a big spectacle of this and will be travelling incognito for if I made announced my intention to go I would be accompanied by a group of at least 20.

My plane will arrive at ViZion in the next couple of days, I hope to see you then.

Prince Henry had begun making arrangements to go to ViZion, he had packed a couple bags full of all sorts of different outfits for any occasion. He had organised to borrow a friends family jet as he wanted to keep the visit to a few close friends and trusted family. Being the son of the Emperor meant that when Henry travelled to a different country he would have quite a large number of people following him around and as this was not a business trip but rather a personnel and Henry hoped a private visit he didn't want any busybodies around. He had invited Princess Melanie over to his house to tell her of the plan.

Henry: Mel, you can't tell anyone this especially not mum and dad but I am off to ViZion to meet Nick Kilo.

Melanie: What? By yourself, you can't do that it isn't right what if anybody found out and how are you getting over there?

Henry: Well nobody should find out unless you or Alex tell, I'm using his father's jet to take me that way no one will be any the wiser. I'm doing it Mel, Nick as you know is President Kilo's son and he has come out to the public recently as being gay and wants to meet up with me.

Mel: Really? He thinks your attractive does he? What does he want to see if you two should date or something?

Henry: Or maybe something more. *winks*

Mel: Marriage? Henry you're to young to get married you're only 20 for crying out loud. How old is this guy?

Henry: He is 21 and I don't know if marriage would be straight away but if I feel he is the right guy then yes I will. He looks hot *hands Melanie a photo* and you know I'm a sucker for a guy with dark hair like that.

Mel: He is attractive well Henry you look after yourself and if I hear something is going wrong I'm telling dad ok?

Henry: Ok, but don't tell him anything till then I'll let you know how it goes when I come back.

OOC ViZion, should he just rock up even though you are currently engaged (not in the relationship sense I hope :p) with Adelai?

"My what a gentleman," Adelai chuckled as he slipped into the passenger seat, placing his duffel at his feet.

OOC: Slight profanity warning.

Joseph fidgeted in his seat the first few minutes after he slid his carry-on bag into the overhead bin and sat down. The magazine sitting in the sleeve of the seat in front of his was of little interest. Having to wait until the aircraft was in flight to put on his iPod was torture.

The man sitting next to him looked over at Joseph with a mix of sympathy and annoyance. He was busy reading The Economist and Joseph's fidgeting was a distraction. But he could tell Joseph was anxious.

"Whatsa matter, first flight?"

"Uh, no."

"You're actin' like you need to take a shit," the guy said in his best imitation of a Pacitalian accent.

"I'm just nervous."

"No shit, Sherlock." As the flight attendant began demonstrating the safety features of the aircraft to the drone of the captain's voice, the man leaned in and began speaking in a stage whisper.

"Aren't you Joseph Andrews?" Joseph reacted with a start.

"I, uh, yes I am. Why?"

"So I assume you're headed to Vitalita, then?"

"Yes. But wh- how?"

"I do read the society page in the Saugerties Sentinel, you know," the man said with a smile he hoped would reassure Joseph. Seeing no sign that it did, he turned serious.

"I have dual citizenship in Sarzonia and ViZion," the man said. "I've met Nick Kilo. He's a great guy."

Joseph sighed with no small measure of relief. "Thanks for letting me know." He then looked at the man more closely.

"Say, don't I remember you from somewhere?"

"Your brother and I went to sixth year together," the man said. "We used to visit your house all the time when your bro and I were mates. If we hadn't moved down to Nicksia because of my father's career, we might still be in Portland. We loved it there."

Now the pieces were starting to fit for Joseph. He smiled slightly.

"I still keep in occasional touch with your uncle Dave," the man said. "From what I remember about you and from what Dave's told me, I think you and Nick will get along great."

"That's comforting," Joseph said, though he doubted how well this man knew him or Nick. The man looked into Joseph's eyes.

"If you and he don't get married, I think you two would become fast friends. If I were you, I'd look into a frequent flyer programme. Otherwise, flights between Vitalita and Portland are kinda pricey." The two men shared a laugh, then both stared ahead as the aircraft began to lift off the ground and toward Joseph's future.

***Twelve hours later***

As the flight began to make its final approach to Vitalita's airport, Joseph began to get nervous all over again. At least he'd had a couple of trips to the aircraft's lavatory under his belt.

When the aircraft finally landed and he had his carry on bag in hand, he began scanning the scene. Vitalita was strange to him. He'd seen Woodstock, Praeton and Timiocato, plus he had friends in Daurmont. The scenes in those cities were familiar to him. He could make out landmarks and felt he could get around those capitals without too much trouble.

This one, however was different. He knew some of the basics about ViZion and its people. He'd heard about Vitalita. But the city was looking increasingly foreign to him even as the seconds he was standing on ViZionian soil turned to minutes.

His reverie was interrupted when he heard a man calling out, "Joseph? Joseph Andrews? I'm over here!" His eyes flashed with a slight bit of nerves as he began to try to calm himself down enough. He looked over and saw Nick waving to him. When he did, all the nerves, all the anxiety finally began to melt away. He smiled. Nick was better looking in person. He already was attracted to the guy, but the voice just made it even better for him.

He walked over toward Nick more briskly than he'd walked in several days with the biggest smile he'd had in the past six months.

The drive to Sargedain International Airport is a rather confusing and unfortunately planned affair, due in large part to the fact that not only is the airport the only international hub in the entire country, but also the fact that the metropolitan government of Sargedain bans automobiles from the city streets. A mixed blessing, Márko thought, the parking structures on the periphery were rather ugly, but the city itself is quite clean and the public transport punctual to the millisecond.

He had commandeered one of his father's limousines for the drive down, which in retrospect was a mistake because of the state of Highway 35 from Tejaara to Sargedain. He managed to occupy himself with a copy of today's Courier-Sarge and the National Literary Review. Thumbing over the "Culture" section he noted with wry humour that he was once again mentioned as taking a trip out of the country. The tag line conspiratorially suggested "another mysterious pleasure cruise for the eligible bachelor."

Sargedain itself provided the most of the hassle as he switched from the car to a horse carriage, one of the parts of Snefaldian culture that hadn't died out with industrialization. The arrival at the airport was the worst part, with photographers craning to spot departing celebrities, buttoning his tailored jacket and tossing a scarf over his shoulder, he disembarked and walked briskly to the concourse, a broad grin on his face.

"Márko Hønyŕ! Márko Hønyŕ! This is for the Courier-Sarge, what do you say about rumours of your trip to ViZion?"

"That's rather vague, isn't it? Amateurish question."

"Mr. Hønyŕ, what about your supposed romance with an unnamed foreign diplomat?"

"Honestly, I've always been a great supporter of international friendship and cooperation."

"Is that why you're going to ViZion? Does this have anything to do with President Kilo's son?"

"I'm going on vacation, to have a little fun. Isn't that what international peace and love is all about? Excuse me, I have a plane to catch."

In twenty minutes he was on a jet to ViZion, and in twenty more he was in the air. Márko thumbed open his copy of the Literary Review and settled into an article about the latest prose to be coming out of Neer Dal's literary community. He tried not to think about the lump in his stomach or the burning fear he got right before he started one of his little games.

To Nick,

Nick walked forward to meet Joseph, "Hey! I'm glad we finally get to meet in person! I've been so excited!" he exclaiming, wrapping an arm around Joseph for a one-armed hug and pat on the back. "You look even better than I imagined!" he said, offering up a gleaming smile.

Joseph smiled and wrapped his right arm around Nick for a one-armed hug and pat on the back.

"Thanks! You look great yourself," he said. He looked into Nick's eyes.

"I'm glad to meet you in person, too," Joseph said. "I'm so excited to see you and Vitalita. I've heard so much about it!"

Joseph's heart and mind were racing. This time, though, he felt a warmth he hadn't experienced in a very long time. And that didn't count the small bead of sweat that began to take shape on the right side of his forehead due to the warm ViZionian weather.

It was definitely warmer in Vitalita than it was in Portland. The northern Sarzonian city averaged daytime temperatures in the low teens, with nighttime temperatures approaching the single digits. Yesterday's daytime high was 14 degrees Celcius (or approximately 57 degrees Fahrenheit for the rare Sarzonian who still used that scale), while the low was 6 degrees (roughly 43 degrees). Needless to say, a light jacket was usually never far behind for Joseph. Fortunately, he packed with some awareness of Vitalitan temperatures.

But all that was for another day. He was on vacation in Vitalita and he was going to enjoy Nick's company.

"You look hot." Nick began to say, then pausing realizing what he said, "Erm, well, I might as far as the weather goes. Not to say YOU aren't." he said trying to recover. Great... now I probably look like an idiot..." he thought before continuing, "You need to pick anything up at baggage claim, or you got everything you need with you?" Nick asked as he motioned for them to begin heading towards one of the elevators so they could hop onto one of the many Vitalita International Airport subways.

"I hope you had a great flight in.

Nick flashed his well-known smile before closing the door and hurrying around to the drivers door. Hoping in, "Man, we finally get to meet in person. I'm so happy. I assume you're staying at my place, yes? Or did you already get a hotel before coming out here?" Nicks mind rushed for a moment as butterflies hit him hard in the stomach before seeing the smile cross Adelai's face. Whew, ok... he thought, then cracking a smile. "So, tell me more about yourself and how things are back at home. What's life like?"

"Well, I've concentrated on work, mostly," Adelai said with a sigh, possibly of nostalgia, or of regret, "I graduated high school at seventeen-a year after Vlad-" he muttered almost inaudibly, "And got into Osius U. I transferred out and into the Air Force...my service has helped me immeasurably. I create computer systems for the military, and being right in the environment, let me know exactly what it was I needed to make.

"So...that's me up to now. I'm working on MERLIN right now, and once it goes public, it'll revolutionize air warfare," Adelai said, his voice perked up as he looked up to the sky at something only he could see. "As for my life...I keep pretty active; if I'm not working I'm sailing or off-roading. I have a pilot's license, but I haven't flown in a while."

"Is this 'MERLIN' project something you can talk about? You got me curious now..." Nick said as they pulled up to a stoplight. "And I've never flown a plane, only flown ON them. You said off-roading, you mean with ATV's? You ever surf?" he asked, stopping himself realizing he'd started to dish out so many questions in rapid fire.

"Sorry about the questions... just still I guess excited to know more about you. Heh." he said as he looked over to Adelai.

"That's okay," Adelai gave his sweetest smile, "It's letting me know more about you, too," he chuckled. "I don't surf, and off-roading more in 4x4's, but I've driven ATVs," he answered the latter questions. "As for MERLIN, I can only really tell you the acronym; Multiple-Engagement-Remotely(controlled)-Logorithmic-Interpretive-Network. And I can tell you that it works closely with UAVs and UCAVs. The rest is secret," Adelai playfully placed a finger on his lips.

Henry was on the plane bound for ViZion, apart from the polites and the attendant he was the only one on board and he was starting to get a bit bored. He had tried to talk to the attendant but she seemed to busy herself, probably because she was used to her employer treating her like many of his servants like inanimate objects. He fidgeted nervously in his seat, normally Henry was cool calm and collected but this flight he felt a sense of anxiety, maybe because he was sneaking out of the country to meet up with a guy or maybe because he was unsure how this visit would go and wanted it to perform well. Henry begun playing with his phone twirling it around with his hand he was thinking about calling Nick and informing him that he would be arriving, while he knew we would have to he felt very nervous talking to him over the phone. Henry opened up his saved numbers list and moved down the list till he found Nick, he selected the name and took a few deep breaths to calm himself and pressed the call button. Henry heard the dial tone ring once, twice before hanging up he cursed himself "What is wrong with me everything is going to be fine", he decided that he would send Nick a text message instead.

"Hey Nick, Henry here, and now you have my number lol, just letting u know that im on my way to Vitalita and will be landing tomorrow afternoon, hope 2 c u there"

Nick saw Henry looking around for him and snuck up from behind and putting him hands on Henry's shoulders. "Henry!" he said loudly, then began to laugh.

"They just told me I deserved it - I don't know why." he said with a laugh.

Life is alright though I have a good group of friends and am quite happy, but my activist campaigns do get a bit tiring sometimes and I just need to relax and be by myself sometimes"

"Well, let's see, as you probably heard, our laws on same-sex relationships are rather unique thanks partly to our late president," he began. "Actually, I'm a distant cousin of his," he said. "In Sarzonia, the legally recognised union is a civil union. Marriage is a completely separate entity that doesn't confer any legal obligations.

"As you've heard, my family has been really supportive of me ever since I came out. Even my brother has been there for me when I needed it. He's bent my ear with advice on how to get guys. Not all of it's accurate, but, well, you know," he said with a chuckle.

"I'm interning at a political think tank, and with the presidential election coming up in a few days, it's been pretty crazy there with all the calls from national and international media. It's the first time our country's had a presidential election, so I guess I understand the curiosity. But anyway, I don't know. Seems things are strange without the man who's been the face of the country for so long.

"As for me, I enjoy outdoor activity. I love playing a game called ultimate frisbee and I love to climb trees and stuff. Gives me a feeling of freedom.

If I haven't done it, I'm always up to give it a try." he said with a smile.

"My life isn't as crazy as it used to be, especially living with my family. I'm enjoying life on my own for sure. Love the family, they've been extremely supportive and loving. But freedom is great to say the least."

With that, the subway train arrived at the section of the parking garage Nicks car was located in. "You got a favorite outdoors activity or sport?"

The staircase was parallel to the front wall before platforming and then turning to the left to go to the second floor. As they got to the second floor, Nick pointed to the room a couple doors down the haul to their left. "You can set your stuff in there and change." he said before walking towards the room.

OOC: All weekend, yeah that is great when they happen, had one of them back in August (only about the 3rd time during my time as a uni student), it was epic and I slept soundly Sunday night.

Nick thought of a couple things to say to that answer, but reminded himself that they had only met shortly before, "Well, plenty of sports and what not. Surfing, soccer, baseball, swimming, rock climbing, whatever. And then there's also college as well to deal with. But ya, beyond parties and just being with friends, I love being outdoors, staying active, and my part time hobby and job of modeling as well. What about you?" he asked.

"Keeping busy it sounds like!" Nick responded. "Do you surf? And I do mostly modeling for magazines, clothing and what not. I'll occasionally do the fashion shows on the runway, but that's fairly rare."

The train traveled at nearly 100 miles per hour and going between above ground and below ground depending on where in the city they were. There were two stops before the one they needed to get off at.

"So is it safe to assume this is your first time in ViZion?"

"Oh nice, that must be a lot of fun" Henry replied about the modeling. "Surfing, well I have done it before once or twice but Truingren is a land locked country so I never did get much of a chance. I think I would need some practice on it, perhaps you can show me what to do?" Henry asked smiling before continuing "Though I do snowboard during winter, but that is a bit different I suppose"

"Yes it is safe to assume that, I have heard much about this country but I have never been here. I must say I've been enjoying it so far, but that may have something to do with whom I've been spending my visit with" Henry smiled as he said this.

"Upstairs... I'll show you." Nick said, heading to the right side of the entrance where the stairs were located. The staircase was parallel to the front wall before platforming and then turning to the left to go to the second floor. As they got to the second floor, Nick pointed to the room a couple doors down the haul to their left. "You can set your stuff in there and change." he said before walking towards the room.

"Thanks," Adelai said as he followed him to the room.

Nick opened up the room, revealing a large open room with a queen-sized bed, a large fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a mix of pictures - pictures of various locations mostly in ViZion and other allied countries. Along the wall to their left was the entrance to a bathroom.

"This isn't my room, it's the main guest room. I wasn't sure if you'd feel comfortable in my room or not, so I figured I'd offer you your own room if you preferred." he said, then turning around and nodding to a room room down the hall. "My room is down there..." he said, silently hoping Adelai would rather prefer his room to the guest room but figured he'd prefer - at least initially - his own room.

"Ya, I'd love going there sometime, that'd be awesome!" Nick said. The elevator door opened at the sidewalk. "We're just a couple blocks from here. My brothers car broke down he's borrowing mine." he said with a laugh.

"Great" Henry replied, "That's alright, I enjoy walking. What type of car do you drive?" Henry asked

Nick laughed, "I'll keep that in mind. Though if you do wanna ask me any questions, I will try and answer them. I know enough and then some to get by with them on the technical side of things. And thanks... some of the people are annoying here though. You know, the silver-plate people who are unwilling to talk to anyone they feel is 'lower' than them. But some of the people in here are awesome." he said as they made their way past the houses, each unique in design and with large yards.

Seeing the blush, he quickly replied, "Ya, that's great. I'll take you on a tour whenever. I'll just be downstairs when you're ready." Nick said, giving Adelai a hug and turning to head for the stairs.

Standing alone, Adelai shuffled his feet nervously. He took a deep breath and began to unpack, setting out his clothes on the bed. He found a pair of black swim trunks with blue trim and a CADF workout shirt and put them on. He traded his shoes for flip flops, but packed a small bag with a towel, sunscreen, various 'emergency' packets, and a pair of Vans that matched his swim trunks in case they decided to walk further out than the beach. He was about to head out when his cell rang. Adelai frowned; he'd promised himself to turn it off, but old habits die hard.

"Yes?" he answered. His frown deepened. "Yes, the demonstration will go as schedule, Comrade-Secretary," he said. "No, there are no foreseeable problems." He sighed, "MERLIN is perfect, and I'll personally cook the crow the Directorate will have to eat." He clicked the phone off, picked up his hoodie, and headed downstairs.

"Sorry it took so long," Adelai told Nick as he descended the stairs, "I was stuck deciding what I should wear," he said with a coy smile, the conversation from a second ago completely out of his mind.

"Yeah, I do know those types of people unfortunately" Nick said with a tone of sadness before continuing "Some of my friends are like that as well as many members of my family. I don't know about you Nick but I don't think it is right to have a sense of superiority over other people because you have some more money than them or have some meaningless title because your great times 15 grandfather killed someone else’s great times 15 grandfather 250 years ago. Some of the best people I have met are ordinary people and I enjoy spending time with them, sometimes other people will treat them as second class and not acknowledge them. But that's just me" Henry said with a shrug as he continued walking hand in hand with Nick.

"I must say Nick there seems to be a lot of tolerance in ViZion we have been holding each others hands and you were hugging me in public and I Haven't heard any snide comments at all" Henry exclaimed with a bit of surprise in his voice.

"It's good your family is supportive of you, not everyone's as lucky as us to have such a supportive family." Nick said with a slight faintness as he began to think of an old friend of his for a few seconds before coming to again. "But ya, I know of ultimate frisbee, and I'm definitely an outdoors person myself. Surfing, soccer, baseball, football, biking, running, swimming - you name it. If I haven't done it, I'm always up to give it a try." he said with a smile.

"My life isn't as crazy as it used to be, especially living with my family. I'm enjoying life on my own for sure. Love the family, they've been extremely supportive and loving. But freedom is great to say the least."

With that, the subway train arrived at the section of the parking garage Nicks car was located in. "You got a favorite outdoors activity or sport?"

Joseph turned away and gave a sort of sigh-smile.

"Wow, favourite sports? I'm going to have to think about that one," he said sheepishly. "Soccer -- or as we Sarzonians call it -- football, basketball, gridball -- er, what you call football --, swimming, running, ultimate frisbee, swimming.

"I lived on my own for a few months, then rent just got too expensive, and then I started my internship. But yeah, we're so fortunate to have supportive families."

Joseph thought for a second and realised he'd forgotten to submit his vote for president. He could still do so on the laptop he carried with him, but he was nervous about what Sarzonians would do in their first-ever presidential election. But he looked back at Nick and smiled. Now the election and its stress were starting to recede into the background.

I could get lost in those eyes, Joseph thought.

My parents helped his parents in paying for college, so he's actually out of the country overseas for a year before finishing up here in ViZion." Nick replied.

"And ya, there's always some people who do not like this sort of thing - the tabloids ripped me over it when I came out publicly, and there was some public outcry. But for the most part our country is quite open and supportive. At the very least, they are kind enough not to make a big deal out of it, even if they don't agree... oh, here we are." he said as he stopped and pointed to he house with the hand holding the suitcase.

"I already am," Adelai said before he could catch himself. He chuckled nervously as he stepped through the door, sneaking his hand down towards Nick's. His hand stayed by Nick's wrist, too nervous to actually hold his hand.

Henry stopped and looked up at the house. "Nick" He excalimed, "This house is beautiful. I love the stucco on the second floor. How did you mange to get the house? Or did you get it built?" Nick asked.

Nick smiled and then looked down at Adelai's hand, which had stopped at his wrist, "If you want to hold hands, it's fine." Nick said with a reassuring voice and a nod.

They made their way to car and Nick started to drive, "So did you want to go to one of the busier spots or more of a calm 'locals' area that isn't so busy?" he asked.

"Thanks." Nick said before continuing, "Umm," he began to blush slightly, "My parents felt I deserved it so they surprised me with it. They had it custom designed and made they told me."

"Hrm, I think I'd prefer something more secluded," he said, "I'm not agorophobic or anything, but huge crowds can make me...uneasy." Adelai smiled sheepishly. With a deep breath, he grasped Nick's hand in his, nodding in return.

"Cool, cool" Henry replied noticing the slight blush but not saying anything. "Well the house is beautiful, I suppose it has it has to be considering the owner is too" Henry smiled at Nick.

Nick laughed lightly, "Ya, that's cool. We'll go to North Vitalita Beach then." Nick said, knowing the perfect spot on North Vitalita Beach to go as they made their way onto the freeway.

"You know, I gotta say, even though I only met you a couple hours ago, it feels as if I've known you much longer..." Nick said as he glanced over to make eye contact for a second before looking back at the road.

It took them about twenty minutes to get to the part of the beach he felt would be perfect for them, pulling into an old parking lot dotted with cars. "This part of the beach is very relaxing. Not to many people come here, and definitely not for parties. That's for a little further south." he said as they parked.

Nick's face had just returned to its normal color when Henry spoke, making his cheeks glow a faint red again. "Aww, you're too nice." he said with a smile. For a split second, Nick was thinking of giving him a kiss, but thought better of it. C'mon Nick, he thought to himself, You have hardly met him a little more than an hour ago... slow down there boy... A slightly embarrassed smile crossed his face, "Well, let's go in, shall we?" he said as he began leading the way up the driveway.

I feel the same way Adelai had wanted to reply, but it got caught in his throat. As they drove, he admired Nick's profile out of the corner of his eye, how the sunlight sillhouetted him perfectly. He was almost sad to see the beach come into view as Nick parked. But he was excited as well.

"It's lovely," Adelai said as he looked down either way of the beach. "And that's good, I don't do well with parties," he smiled.

"Ya, I haven't been to this beach since..." he paused for a second, the image of Bobby, the one boy he had actually 'been with' in way for couple days before Bobby's parents found out and moved him out of town immediately, never to be heard from again, "Well, for a while anyway." he finished as they got out of the car. Nick popped open the hatchback to grabbed his towel, sunglasses, and sunscreen, then wrapping his arm around Adelai slowly.

"Good idea" Henry said with a grin on his face as he followed Nick up the driveway.

Nick opened the door, "You first," he said. Straight ahead of them was a large fire pit with the living room beyond that and a large glass 'wall' spanning the living room to look out back.

After entering the house, "I'll show you were you can put your stuff." he said, heading to the stairs to the right.

"Why thank, you" Henry said. He looked around "Wow, that's all I can say about this place Nick, you have a very nice house I love this fire pit and the glass door. Very beautiful" Heny said as he followed Nick to the staircase.

"Ya, I haven't been to this beach since..." he paused for a second, the image of Bobby, the one boy he had actually 'been with' in way for couple days before Bobby's parents found out and moved him out of town immediately, never to be heard from again, "Well, for a while anyway." he finished as they got out of the car. Adelai's first thought was to stiffen up, but he relaxed his muscles and accepted the arm draped around him. He turned and smiled as he looked into his eyes. "Well, I'm glad I'm the one you brought here for the first time since," Adelai said.

"We'll put your stuff in there." he said, making his way to the room and opening the door. "This is the house's main guest room. My room is down the other way." he said. "I figured you might feel more comfortable for now with your own room."

"Ya, it's been quite a few years since I've been here at all." Nick said as they walked onto the beach. "Where do you want to setup?"

The beach was fairly open, a few couples spotting the otherwise clear beach for a good two miles before groups could be seen. They stood about twenty feet in from the parking lot, and even with high tide they were a good thirty feet from the ocean.

"I wasn't talking about the house" Henry laughed. "Down the other way, right I'll remember that" Henry grinned and winked at Nick as he walked through the doorway he had just opened.

"Wherever," Adelai said, but in a tone that meant he cared. "I'll let you take the lead...for now," he added with a smirk.

Nick chuckled, "Alright," he said, heading closer to the water and to their right a little bit before stopping and laying out his towel. "Hope this works." he said, leaning down and straightening out his towel.

Nick wasn't quite sure what to say besides giving off a slight giggle in response before Henry went into his room. Nick turned around and went back downstairs, jumping over the back of his couch and grabbing the television remote. He kicked off his flipflops and laid down on the couch as he began to flip through the channels while waiting.

Adelai followed suit, laying out his towel next to Nick's He was a bit mystefied at his last comment, hope what works? he wondered, but shrugged off his doubts and straightened his towel as well.

Standing up, Nick slipped off his flipflops and pulled his shirt off, then grabbing his suntan, began to lather up the liquid on his face, legs, arms, and body and reached to try and put it on his back.

Henry walked further into the room as he laid down his bags on the bed. He hoped things were going alright, he had a tendency to flirt and talk bit too much to hide the fact that he was nervous; he cursed himself at his last actions noticing that Nick didn’t respond that well to it. However, things seemed to be going alright he was quite fond of Nick and hoped that Nick felt the same way. While he was taking out some clothes he turned on his phone to see if anyone had tried to contact him. The display screen said one new message; he selected it and saw that it was his mother inviting him over for dinner tomorrow night. He decided to send a txt message back saying that he wasn't able to make it. He turned it back off in case she decided to call back and ask a bunch of awkward questions.

He was unsure what to wear to the restaurant so he walked down the stairs and asked Nick "Hey Nick, this restaurant what type of attire do they want? I know it is down at the beach but do they want something along the lines of Semi-formal or something

OOC:I'm off for now ViZion, I may be on again later tonight but if not then I won't be on tomorrow as I have a day at the races but maybe in 28 hours if not tonight.

Nick sat up and looked over to Henry, "Ya, semi-formal works. Nice pair of shorts and a nice shirt will work fine." he said.

"Cool, sounds good" Henry said before heading up the stairs. Henry changed into a white short sleeved shirt that had light green and blue criss crossed lines over it and a pair of light tan shorts.

Henry was looking forward to dinner, he hoped that the relationship would grow stronger. He was still nervous and was afraid he had gone overboard when shown his room he hoped he hadn't come on to strong and desperate. Easy now Henry don't over think things that is when you begin to make mistakes, just enjoy yourself and see where it goes.

He did up the last button checked himself in the mirror fixed his hair up a bit and bounced down the stairs he walked over towards Nick.

Standing up, Nick slipped off his flipflops and pulled his shirt off, then grabbing his suntan, began to lather up the liquid on his face, legs, arms, and body and reached to try and put it on his back.

Adelai stopped what he was doing. He may be naive when it came to dating and relationships, but he wasn't stupid. His mind raced, Do it! it told him, and after a millisecond struggling with his inner thoughts, Adelai stepped forward.

"Here, let me," he offered, taking the suntan from Nick's hand and squirting some into his hand. With a nervous chuckle, Adelai began to apply the suntan on Nick's back.

"Cool, sounds good" Henry said before heading up the stairs. Henry changed into a white short sleeved shirt that had light green and blue criss crossed lines over it and a pair of light tan shorts.

Henry was looking forward to dinner, he hoped that the relationship would grow stronger. He was still nervous and was afraid he had gone overboard when shown his room he hoped he hadn't come on to strong and desperate. Easy now Henry don't over think things that is when you begin to make mistakes, just enjoy yourself and see where it goes.

He did up the last button checked himself in the mirror fixed his hair up a bit and bounced down the stairs he walked over towards Nick.
Hearing Henry coming down the stairs, Nick got up and made his way towards the stairs. "You look good!" he said with a grin. "Were you wanting to go ahead and go eat now or relax for a bit first?" he asked.

Adelai stopped what he was doing. He may be naive when it came to dating and relationships, but he wasn't stupid. His mind raced, Do it! it told him, and after a millisecond struggling with his inner thoughts, Adelai stepped forward.

"Here, let me," he offered, taking the suntan from Nick's hand and squirting some into his hand. With a nervous chuckle, Adelai began to apply the suntan on Nick's back.
Nick relaxed his body and smiled as Adelai began to rub the sunscreen on his back, "Oh, thank you." he said as his eyes gazed out into the ocean, his mind, though, in a clearly different area.

Nick continued to look into Adelai's eyes. He then began to slowly lean in for the first kiss, his eyes slowly closing as their lips touched.

There was a spark of electricity that shot through Adelai's body as they kissed. He brought his arms up to hold Nick close to him. It was only his second kiss with another man, and his third kiss ever, but it was by far the best. He closed his eyes and melted into the moment.

Henry felt a tingling feeling as Nick rubbed his hand through Henry's hand. Henry smiled as Nick winked at him, and he placed is hands on Nick's hips, and lent in closer. Henry thought about kissing him but thought better of it. No Henry thought don't come on to strong play it by ear, don't make him uncomfortable.

"Well that sounds like a plan to me" Henry said before going against his instinct leaning in and lightly kissing Nick on the lips.

It seemed to have lasted for moments, but it was really for a little over five seconds for their first kiss together. After the kiss ended, Nick held his position for a couple seconds before slowly bringing his head back and opening his eyes; a large grin forming as he looked back into Adelai's eyes.

Adelai smiled back sheepishly, suddenly self conscious as they parted a bit. He couldn't tear himself from Nick's eyes, and he chuckled nervously. Taking a breath, Adelai tried his luck at being bold and returned the gesture, leaning in to kiss Nick back.

Nick pushed Henry against the wall before they finished their kiss, then began to nibble for a second seconds before stopping himself. Wow... a little fast... he thought to himself. After a long flight and a disappointing edition of the Literary Review (honestly, the new writers out of Neer Dal were just hacks) the plane touched down in ViZion and Márko Hønyŕ gathered himself for the disembarkation.

It wasn't so much the circumstances of his trip or the fact it'd be plastered all over the dailies in Snefaldia, or the fact that he'd be meeting and casually dating a man he'd never met; but rather the typical feeling of nervousness and excitement he got when he was about to begin one of his little adventures. The thrill of turning expectations upside down and still being lauded was exhilarating, and "the game" of the high society bucks was just as thrilling.

He ran his fingers through his hair and picked his bags up in the terminal, walking purposefully through the concourse and taking mental note of the number of looks and gazes he got.

Let's find this young man and see what fun is to be had in ViZion.

Nick's attention had caused Adelai to blush visibly, and he seemed a bit more relaxed that he had earlier. For some reason, he already had a deep and honest trust of Nick.

"I flew commercial." he said with a smirk. "Which means that I need a hotel room, a shower, and a cup of coffee. Hopefully you can show me where to find all three."

The cutesy shit wore on him sometimes, and he reminded himself to come up with some better double entendres in the future. Otherwise, it wasn't going to be as fun. He looked over the man in front of him, not too obviously, and then turned and gestured.

Inside, he was thinking in the usual speed of a bullet train speeding along.

The bags were collected without issue- one of the benefits to having a father in government meant diplomatic tags- and the two departed.

"Now then, the shower can-" his phone buzzed.

Nick's brother, Eric, was suppose to drop off the car a little earlier and finally arrived. As they opened the door, Eric was heading towards the door. "'ey" Eric said, waving for a second as he came upto the door. "Hey Eric." Nick said as they pounded fists. "Thanks for the car." he said to Nick, "No problem... this is Henry... Henry, this is my brother Eric." he said, introducing the two.

"How's it goin?" Eric said to Nick. Eric was Nick's 17 year old brother, a senior in high school.

"Hey Eric, I'm good how about you?" Henry said as he extended his right hand out to shake hands with him.

"See ya." Eric responded, heading into the house and closing the door as Nick and Henry headed to the car.

After getting in and driving off, "So, have you ever dated a guy before?" Nick asked.

Lalita sat calmly in his seat. He reminded himself not to show how nervous he was. He was failing badly until a calm voice called, saying "Reaching Vitalita International Airport in three minutes. Please fasten your seat belts." He did what the voice told him to.

"No, it's fine. Everything is in my hand luggage." Lalita motioned to his briefcase. "It looks small, but I'll let you in on a secret; it's NSA (OOC: Niraamaya Security Agency) standard, and it can carry about half a ton of stuff."

"Alright, cool... did you want to go and relax, head out to the city? What would you like to do?" Nick asked as he went to hold hands with Lalita, beginning to head down the terminal.

"I'm not sure. Hmm... Anywhere is fine. I'm a little hungry, though."

"Alright, we can eat and then drop your stuff off at my place - or, if you have a hotel, we can drop it off there." Nick said, "And what kind of food were you thinking of? We've got everything in this city."

"Oh, no, it's on me. Don't worry about it." he said with a smile. "There's a great seafood place near my house - it has a great view of one of our harbors. How does that sound?"

They got onto one of the subway trains to take them to the parking garage, "This'll take a few minutes, the place is massive." Nick said as they took a seat, putting his hand on Lalita's shoulder.

After several minutes, they made a left and pulled pulled into the driveway, as it promptly curved down and to the left. The entrance was quite unique - as you curve down and to the left to plateau, you pull underneath an ancient Montezuma Cypress, a tree in which is extremely uncommon in ViZion. Under that massive tree you pull up to the valets and the massive double doors made of various wood found at sea, pulled open by two door attendants.

The two got out of the vehicle and a man in a tan suit stepped up, "Welcome to Seaside Restaurant and Lounge, Mr. Kilo; I see you brought a friend tonight. Are your parents coming as well?" he asked. "No, Fred. Just the two of us. This is Henry, he came out from Bloumany. No reservation, just the best seat in the house." Nick responded.

"As always, we have the best seat of the house reserved for the best of customers." Fred replied with a grin. "And it is nice to meet you, Henry. Please, follow me."

He lead them up a massive black marble stairways - while it led up only one level, it was 20 feet wide at the base, and grew to 30 feet by the time they reached the main level. From here, you looked out through a full-width opening of the building out onto the massive seating area reaching out into the ocean.

They were seated at the very point furthest out, the 'VIP' location of sorts which is reserved only for special parties and certain guests. "Your favorite spot, Mr. Kilo." Fred said as he say them, "Fred, you know you need to stop calling me that, I'm not my dad. Just Nick. We're neighbors for Gods sake!" he said with a laugh. "Alright, NICK." he said with a smile, handing them their menus. "Charley will be out in a minute, want your usual, the house rum and Coke?" he asked. "You know it. What do you want Henry?" Nick asked as he gazed over.

"Well, you certainly got the hair and body for it. You'll learn quick, I'm sure." he said with a smile, setting down the board and digging some sand out from underneath the center of it to get him used to being on the board. "Alright," Nick said, stepping onto the board, spreading his feet apart to the right distance, placing them in the right spots.

He bent his legs out, and balanced himself. "This is the way to be on the board when you're out there." he said, holding his pose for a minute before getting off it. "Hop on so you can get a feel for it."

Henry had been quite taken back with the view from the restaurant looking out at the ocean and watching the deep blue water churn in rhythm of the tide.

He glanced over when Nick asked what he wanted to drink, "I think I will start with a Lemon, Lime and Bitters" he replied looking at Fred.

Nick Henry sat at a small round table, both with their chairs offset slightly to offer a view of the ocean and pulling them closer together. Nick put his hand onto Henry's, "I..." he began to say. He wanted to finish with love you but couldn't quite bring it out. "...I'm so glad you're here. There's just something about you... you're beautiful, you're kind, you're everything I could have imagined and then some. I cant believe it hasn't even been a day yet and even so, I feel as if we've been together for months... years maybe." he said, turning his gaze from the ocean to Henry. He then raised Henry's hand to his lips and kissed it, then using both of his supple hands to lightly massage Henry's hand.

Henry gazed into Nick's eyes "I'm glad I'm here too and that I was able to meet you" Henry said before placing his other hand over Nick's "I have never met someone like you before very handsome, very caring and I think I'm very lucky to have met you" he said before leaning in and kissing Nick on the cheek.

To bad we're in public... Nick thought as he admired Henry's soft facial features and smooth skin. "I'm the lucky one..." he finally said, finally snapping out of his daze in which his mind had been solely focused on Henry's physique.

"Tomorrow, how'd you like to go one a tour of the area? We could hit the beaches too... and then go to the clubs." Nick suggested. "Or if you'd rather do the clubs tonight, it's up to you. You're my guest."

"No that sounds great, I would love a tour of the area" Henry said "By clubs do you mean the black light district?" Henry asked "I have heard that is the trendiest place hear but I don't know how true it is. But I think after dinner we should go back to your place Henry said softly rubbing his foot against Nick's leg and winking.

You'll learn quick, I'm sure." he said with a smile, setting down the board and digging some sand out from underneath the center of it to get him used to being on the board. "Alright," Nick said, stepping onto the board, spreading his feet apart to the right distance, placing them in the right spots.

He bent his legs out, and balanced himself. "This is the way to be on the board when you're out there." he said, holding his pose for a minute before getting off it. "Hop on so you can get a feel for it."

Adelai did as instructed and positioned his feet as Nick had demonstrated. He wobbled for a second, but soon gained his balance and the proper stance.

"I think I got it," Adelai smiled at Nick.

"Black Light District, ya... it is quite a place." Nick said before feeling Henry's foot sliding along his leg, "Mmm, ya, my house tonight sounds great." Nick said, completely enamored by Henry. The drinks were brought to them by Charley, their server. "Well, it's good to see you, Nick. Your friend here is Henry I am told?" he says, reaching his hand out to shake after setting down the drinks. "You couple need more time still?" he asks.

"Well, I'm having their eight ounce filet mignon with lobster tail. But you can get whatever steak, fish, or anything you want. Shark, octopus, whatever." Nick said. "You have any favorites?"

"Well, if Teacher thinks I'm ready..." Adelai smiled, reaching up and stroking Nick's cheek as he kissed him back.

"Well I do enjoy octopus and hardly get to have it at home, so I think I will order the Baby Octopus Aighos Sostis" Henry said

Giving one final luscious kiss on the lips and a couple kisses on the neck, he calmed himself down, standing up and helping Adelai up. "Ready to surf?" he asked.

"Sure am," Adelai said as he took Nick's offered hand. He stood up and brought Nick's hand up to his lips to kiss it. "Lead the way, mon chere."

"Huh, it sorta reminds me of jump-training," Adelai commented with a smile.

"How about we share a bottle of wine?" Henry asked Nick "I know it would have to be red considering your eating beef, but than a light red to complement my meal. How about a rosé?" He enquired.

Henry raised the glass, swirled it, raised it to his nose smelled it before taking a sip. Once he had done all that he said to the waiter, "yes it is good, thankyou"

The surf wasn't the best, however there were some waves large enough for training purposes.

Adelai noticed the waves and waited for more instructions as he approached the distance Nick had told him.

"Alright, as the large wave comes in," Nick yelled, referring to the wave coming about fifteen feet away from him, "You'll want to paddle in my way quickly. As you feel it coming onto you, quickly get up into the position I showed you and take the wave at a bit of an angle."

Adelai nodded, repeating the instructions in his head as he approached the wave. At the moment he'd been told, Adelai stood up on the board. There was a moment when he feared he'd lose his balance, but eventually, Adelai found himself surfing, a smile of delight speading across his face.

Nick made his way to where Adelai had come in at and have him a high-five and pat on the back, "Nice!" he said, "How was it?"

"Almost as nice as this," Adelai said, repaying Nick for earlier with a glomp of his own. Even before they'd fallen to the ground, he'd kissed Nick. They landed and Adelai kept his kiss for a while before pulling back. He suddenly blushed, "Sorry, I'm usually not this assertive." he smiled.

"Four sisters" Henry replied "And I'm the youngest of the lot" he half groaned rolling his eyes.
