It has been over thirty years since our great people fought the bloody war for independence against our parent country. A lot of good people died but we succeded in seceding and now we expect Maltrossia to honor the cesefire!

Instead, their navy constantly infringes on our territorial waters but no more. Early this morning one of our Frigates put a shot across the bow of a Maltrossian Cruiser, it wont be the last time.

By parliamentary decree, as of 12 noon tomorrow, any Maltrossian vessel that infringes on our territorial waters at the 15 mile limit will be given one and only one warning shot. The next one will be through the Bridge.

Just because we have a small navy by comparrison does not mean the Maltrossians can boss us around. We will defend ourselves and every man women and child of this great nation is willinging to die for the cause!

Through Unity we will survive!!!!

OOC: Fair point, but is Maltrossia actually a nation on NS? If not, then this is pretty pointless. If you wanted to declare your independence from them, then you should probably extend this declaration of respecting territorial waters to all nations, not just Maltrossia.

OOC: So as long as Maltrossian ships don't enter, you've no problem with other nations ships (even military) entering your waters?

Now that Ambassador Jameson has been "relieved" I will settle the facts.

Our government is not responsiblle for policing territorial water laws in other nations. We only ask that other nations (especially Maltrossia) respect the 15 mile limit.

OOC: Whatever. That's a no-brainer, all nations should respect each others territorial waters in peacetime.
