Sarusania

OOC: Hello to all. Although this is my first post, I have had other nations on here before, I just decided to start over with a new nation. I have a centrally planned economy just for kicks and as a side note to all who read this thread.
IC: Today in Sarusania, elections are taking place for the next two days. This is after parliament was dissolved by the President and snap elections were called in light of economic crises and months of deadlock in Parliament. ( I got an issue today saying "Economic Crises looms"). The party in power, the Democratic People's Party, a far-left socialist party, has been in power since the birth of the nation after the Saru Nationalist Revolution resulted in Sarusania's creation. The economy is the main issue concerning these elections, and the recent human trafficking and maritime security issues with pirates off of the nation's coast is another big concern for the people. Here are the candidates:
Nikolai Zapo-People's Democratic Party(Current P.M.)- His party has been in power since the nation's creation and has been the only Prime Minister since Sarusania came into existence. He favors Democratic Socialism and a Centrally Planned Economy.
Franko Barrett-Communist Party of Sarusania (Marxist)- His party was allied with Zapo's P.D.P coalition until the recent economic crises. He also favors the Central Planning system currently in government. He also favors the pushing forward of a bill that would eliminate all forms of capitalism within Sarusania.
Raian Vellams-Saru National Congress-Although known for liberal social policies, he has been a staunch advocate of more capitalism and more free-market policies in Sarusania. "This Central Planning is what got us here in the first place" Vellams told news reporters today. "We're losing jobs and taking away employment oppurtunities." Many politicians from both ends of the political spectum consider Vellams to be a moderate politician and an almost obsessive centrist when it comes to the economy. His party is the only one that had not formed a coalition with the other parties.
Andross Korning-Saru National Party- Mr. Korning's far-right National Party has been gaining in popularity in local and provincial elections in recent terms. He is staunchly opposed to any and all forms of government economic control. He is conservative on social issues and his party's platform is considered to be non-racist fascism, although he is very anti-immigration.
Patrik Van Killams- Saru Christian Democratic Party- The resurgence of Killams's Christian Democrats is lrgely due in part to the economic crunch the nation currently faces. His party's platform includes Christian Democracy, Economic liberalism, and a new stance of social centrism (mostly due in part to Killams's own support for national recognition of genderqueer and homosexual people and is liberal immigration policy). His party is in a coalition with the SNP.
OOC: If anyone wants to know a candidate's stance, just comment.
