Guardian Angels
The Empire of Ascelonia, in seeing the growth of terrorism and the infringement of the rights of many individuals, hereby, declares the founding of a new organization in the name of Liberty, Freedom, Civil Rights, and Personal Rights. The modus operandi is to gain wealth while aiding weaker and smaller nations. The Guardian Angels will be run by a combination of dedicated members, participating members, and elected committees.
It will serve also as a contracting firm for larger or medium-sized nations who wish to outsource their security needs to the Guardian Angels or who wish to buy insurance from the Guardian Angels for various national disasters. These nations will be deemed customers and will have to undergo a risk evaluation before approval. Risk evaluations are free, if the respective nation wishes to purchase a security package. Otherwise, risk evaluations will cost one cent per citizen of that nation.
Protectorate status is also workable for a troubled or disturbed nation, which has undergone social, economic, or military upheaval. Protectorates will also be taxed and treated as a customer, but rates for Protectorates will be adjusted to suit their needs. Protectorates will need to be cooperative with the Security Council, which may or may not establish military bases, airports, seaports, or demilitarized zones. Protectorates, if absolutely necessary, must give up a part of their land to be a Guardian Angels Mandated Territory. Protectorates can reclaim Mandated Territory and quit Protectorate status once the Security Council and the Protectorate believes that that course of action is plausible. The Profit Committee must see that the Protectorate pays off any remaining debt accumulated.
Low interest rate loans are now also available for nations who cannot afford to sign up with the Guardian Angels.
I. Founder and Protector
The Empire of Ascelonia, as Founder and Protector, will serve as Founder and Protector until the national leader of Ascelonia resigns. The Office of Founder and Protector ensures Ascelonia’s role as a permanent member of all committees, but containing the power to vote within one committee. The nation has no vetoing power, but has the right to move up to ten thousand Guardian Angels without the consultation or approval of the Security Council for a window of three RL days.

The Office of Presiding and Overseeing Nation will be an elected one with the ability to move up to ten thousand Guardian Angels without the consultation or approval of the Security Council for a window of three RL days. The President has the ability to propose legislation, but does not a have the ability to vote on legislation. The President also reserves the right to veto.
III. Founder’s Club
The Founder’s Club will consist of the initial thirteen members that choose to commit at least fifty percent of their military forces and pay an annual fee of one percent of their GDP. The Founder’s Club will have no leader and will have the ability to collectively override a veto on an eight-to-five majority. They also have the ability to propose legislation to other councils or committees.
IV. Security Council
The Security Council will attempt to maintain and stabilize the overall security of the Guardian Angels and their respective customers. The goal of the Security Council is also to promote peace and stability throughout the free world.
V. Profit Committee
The Profit Committee will seek to establish secure sources of income as well as organizing a reasonable tax rate for all nations within the Guardian Angels. They will not only look for new customers and advertise, but also evaluate the costs of proposals and legislation. Analyzing the costs, they may reach a conclusion on whether or not a proposal would be of use or workable.
VI. Protectorate Management Committee
The Protectorate Management Committee’s major purposes is to secure Protectorates and Mandates, collect a reasonable tax rate from such respective states, file paperwork and logistics for such tasks, and to ensure that Protectorates and Mandates contain happy, stable leaders and satisfied populaces.
Ascelonia’s Mission Statement
Our own nation is currently in a transitory state and is suffering from heavy abuses of freedoms and rights. This should change in a few years, but we are dedicated to the cause of Freedom and Liberty. Arkadican Security Corporation’s full resources of satellite technology, military forces, and equipment will be made available to the Guardian Angels.
