~The Constitutional Federal Republic of ViZion - Hiro "Chiefy" Ando
'Chiefy' is known for leading ViZion into power economically and militarily, putting the country on the map as the leader in human rights. He was well loved and feared by his vast number of friends and the foes he inevitably acrewed, being hard-nosed and confident, making his point as clear as a humanly possible. Chiefy was killed in a terrorist strike while waiting for the arrival of many government leaders on a government cruise ship.
~The Blouman Empire - Emperor Kane II
He brought major reforms through the Empire buildng on those which he had introduced as Prince of Holchmain which brought Holchmain into a golden age and his actions for that was the major reason why he was voted as Emperor by the Royal Council.
These reforms included economic/cultural and administration. OOC: I will get round to this later, while I have listed him as the best in the NSWiki I never did go into detail I will do so here at a later date.
~People's Republic of Falkasia - Prime Minister Vladimir Kazyenko
Leader fo falkasia since the end of the Cold War. Has elevated the country from a poverty-striken society into a major wolrd power. Passed numerous reforms and is responsible for some of the greatest Falkasian achievements.
~Commonwealth of Free United States - Steven Vincent Galindo III
The youngest man to achieve the rank of Admiral of the Fleet at 32, he served the Commonwealth through three wars as a naval aviator. As the current President, his actions have greatly defined the role of his office in regards to international and national relations. He is also the first 'ruler' of the country to hold office without a spouse (he is a confirmed bachelor).
~Kingdom of Mitgar - Adelai Vrushkov
Born into a poor farming family, Vrushkov was kidnapped by border raiders from his home near present-day San Salvus. After escaping them, a series of events led to his employment in the Imperial Palace. His attentiveness led to him preventing the assassination of the csar, Nikolev IV. Later on, he had a successful military career, marked by his continued pursuit of bandits like those who had captured him years earlier.
~The Republic of Ruccola - Pietro D'Agostino
Leader of a popular movement for political change, he reunified the country in 1436 after four centuries of civil war between its four component kingdoms. He is credited with expediting the healing and reconstruction process, and the name "Ruccola" is also attributed to him (formed from Rucaia, Casalveri, Corunia and Lamare).
~The Confederation of Third Commune - Lydia Bosch
The last head of State of the former Confederation was born in 2058, amidst a starving world on the verge of collapse due to dwindling petroleum, Lydia has witnessed war, famine and death during most of her life, struggling to survive in the decadent economy. People were nearly starving, and many luxuries were long gone by the time she was only a children. Until 2068, she had to eek a life out of the ruins and junk of their former civilization, on the verge of collapsing into barbarism, until the first commercial fusion reactor and hydrogen production plant was finally built to make oil obsolete. When a young teen, Lydia witnessed the death of billions through the world devastation brought by the nuclear weapons of the Third World War, waged for the last oilfields of Earth, and from the ashes of nuclear devastation, the dawn of a new totalitarian civilization, threatening her people: the Global State. With hundreds, if not thousands of enemy soldiers for each soldier of the Confederation, and a nearly infinite supply of manpower, all the tides of war were against them, as the Global State sought to truly become a world government. After a brief military career in the Revolutionary Army against the globalist hordes, canceled by the loss of her legs in a minefield, she has offered herself to assume the difficult role of being the head of State of a civilization doomed to defeat, and served as a beacon for the people during more than thirty brutal years of total war that marked the dawn of the 22nd century. However, most important of all, Lydia has been one of the main promoters of their last hope back when they still had other hopes, as the results of an old probe sent to the stars were given, confirming that the Gliese 581 system had hostile, but still inhabitable planets. As their very home islands were surrounded by the enemy and spacecrafts were ready for their long journey, Lydia refused to join the ranks of people selected to colonize the new world, and instead swore to fight to death against the Global State.
Why Her: For many, Lydia was the "Churchill of the Confederation", the individual that gave to them a hope when the entire world turned against them. And not only that, but one of the key individuals who ensured that the future of the entire human race would not be that of a boot stomping an human face, forever. Belonging to people who were known as the "lost generation", like all others of her time, she had to dedicate most of her life to serving the collective interest of preserving their freedom rather than individual interests and tastes, with little time for entertainment or rest. Her choice to stand to the bitter end in Earth when offered a choice to escape into the safety of outer space has served to give to her a legendary status, one among many legends of such dark times.
~The Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion - High King Vamperial 'Vamp' Kingston
Vamp was said to be the greatest of the kings since King Johnson the Second who unified Lynion in the late 1400's. Vamp's age is unknown but it was rumoured he somehow swallowed the Master Spirit in 1942. However, Vamp's first appearance was in 1920 when he became engaged to Princess Esther after her parents died from old age. His first conflict that placed him in the History Books (besides his age), was the Battle for Lynion in 1942. Vamp rallied together the commanders of the military forces and devised a plan to be timed with the Hurricane that was due in June. Even thought the commanders doubted the plan, it was executed and the Empire of Japan was masscared in the last days of the Battle for Lynion. However, it came at a cost for the monarchy. After swallowing the Master Spirit when Esther unleshed the spirits upon Lynion, he suddenly went into exile to South Africa until sometime in 1973 he returned to Lynion when he heard that King Lankan and Queen Eliza were assassinated.
Upon returning, he also learnt that Queen Esther was assassinated in 1945 by the Japanese. However, his main areas of success was the formation of the Vamperial Order and the League of Wolves which helped Lynion journey into a Goldern Era. However, there was two times he became the leader of Lynion, when the assassination of High Kings were executed, but he always seemed to find a way to play a minor role. Even though he didn't wanted to become the True leader of Lynion, he instead became the brilliant commander of Lynion that lead his men to a number of victories.
~The Democratic Republic of The American Privateer - Fleet Admiral Jacob "Jack" Ray
The highest ranking military officer of the armed forces, he stands roughly six feet tall with warm green eyes and bright red hair.
Why Him/Her: During the Long Journey when the ships and crews that would eventually form TAP where constantly being pulled from universe to universe throughout the multi-verse, he held the fleet together and helped them to find the Manifest Zone in Universe-135 and come to rest in Universe-N, the home of NationStates. He was elected President for Life by the people, and held that position as the people settled, and used his power to get the nation up onto it's feet and into a position where people could actually care about the government, at which point he stepped down, and asked the people to create a new government, a real democratic one, and refused to run for president ever again, saying that he was too old to learn how to be diplomatic. Should the President and Vice-President both die, he is the next person in line for the Presidency, much to his annoyance, and is the Chief Ambassador of The American Privateer.
~The United Republics of Volzgrad - Vasili Illyanovich Kavinkov
Vasili Kavinkov is the current Premier and Commander in Chief of Volzgrad. Born in 1967 in a small village in Korvograd, Kavinkov was not nearly as fanatical or Communistic as some of his other comrades. At the age of 14, Vasili entered the Volzgradien College of Warfare; where he became a top student and set a record for being on the school's honor roll for 7 years straight. After his graduation, Vasili was stationed along with his 26th Korvogradien Grenadiers in the area's north of the capitol city of Adrograd. However, only two weeks into his military career; the Volzgradien Civil War broke out. Naturally feeling patriotic towards his home Republic, Vasili and his men gladly joined the almost Fascist Korvograd Liberation Front. Using a tactical brilliance that would make most high-ranking generals balk, Vasili managed to punch a hole straight through the loyalists defenses , capturing the capitol in less then a week. However, Vasili quickly turned coat and joined the loyalists when it was made official that the KLF had betrayed their long time allies in the south. Vasili, along with future President Gregor Venkov, led their forces to victory after victory; even going as far as publicly executing the Fascist leader of the KLF. After the war, Venkov became President and Vasili was made head of the recently re-founded Volzgradien Patriotic Army. After nearly 10 years of fierce campaigning, Vasili was made head of the National Bolshevik Alliance (known today as the Socialist Vanguard Party). Vasili and his party won a landslide victory during the 2000 elections, even winning a majority government with 70% approval. It was during this time that Vasili's leadership led to the Volzgradien Industry increasing it's efficiency by 60%, the Volzgradien Military claiming 4 more colonies and destroying two nations, and the most famous of all; the capture of Blacktopia along with Volzgrad's Communist allies. During the next elections in 2008, Vasili again won by a massive margin, claiming a 78% majority.
Why Him/Her: Vasili was the man who almost single hand, turned Volzgrad from a Civil War wracked hell-hole to a thriving, advanced, and major superpower. During his reign, Volzgrad's territory has expanded by almost 20% thanks to the many nations and colonies conquered by the world famous Volzgradien Military. Volzgrad's economy was also saved from utter ruin by Kavinkov's famous 6 year plan. While Vasili is still a Socialist at heart, his market reforms have led to a massive increase in Volzgrad's profits and GDP.
~The Liberal Republic of Parilsa - Nicholas Faust
Faust was born at a time when Parilisa was ruled by an extremely right-wing monarchy and as a member of the lower classes he had almost no prospects in life. But Nicholas changed this when he organised a group of people together to form the PRA (Parilisan Republican Army), whose aim was to destroy the unfair monarchy and the system that it dictated. The PRA, with Faust as it's ingenious leader, quickly grew in size and eventualy began a revolution in 2004. Faust was a fantastic speaker; he set people's hearts on fire with his passion filled speechs. Though at times strict and harsh, his intentions were always good and members of minorities and oppressed people found a refuge with him. He was so popular in Parilisa, and such was his power in the PRA, that the King made it illegal to posess a photograph, film, pamphlet, poster or any other material which was related to Faust.
He finaly met his end in 2005, mortaly wounded by a fascist sniper during the assault upon Prezdorf. Statues of him abound within Parilisa's main cities, and he is upheld as a symbol of liberty and freedom.
~The Holy Imperium of Angenteria - Emperor Anticus Riektal I
Having passed away only a short year ago, Emperor Anticus Riektal was a man of many talents. Born into the Imperial family, his childhood was spent most the way most Angenterian princes did. It was only at the onset of the Angenterian Civil War did his talents become known. the treasonous governor Septim, desiring to turn the Holy Imperium into a state run by his fascist regime, stormed the Imperial Palace with soldiers loyal to him. Anticus, only twenty seven at the time of this, watched as his father was cut down in a hail of gunfire. Escaping the Palace, thanks to the efforts of the Palace Guard, he fled west, where he was able to rally support, and regain control of his country after seven years of long, bloody fighting, personally executing Septim after the final battle, and re-assumed reign as Emperor. But that didn't end his list of achievements. Seeing the reign of the Emperor too absolute, he extended membership of the Council of High Lords (the elected government body), to all citizens, and not just that of the aristocracy, giving all the people a chance to make their voices known in the Imperial Court. Also, he is credited for single-handedly establishing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, destroying Angenteria's old ways of isolationism, and began forming actual relations with foreign nations, turning Angenteria into a global superpower.

Emperor Nikolei Darkombye-Windsor never expected to have to become King,as the fourteenth child of the Emperor he was expected to become an Ambassador to a Small country and only return to Darkombye if required by the King but when a civil war torn Darkombye into into two different states and all the immediate family of the Emperor were killed he stepped up and rebuilt Darkombye from its' ashes
~The Federal Republic of Omigodtheykilledkenny - President Elijah Jackson
The tenth president of the Federal Republic is widely credited with saving his nation from ruin when he put down a widespread communist rebellion led by rogue Army Gen. Borracho Villa, who executed assaults on Omigodtheykilledkenny's major cities and commanded a following among Kennyite elite and downtrodden laborers. He eluded capture for years as President Jackson, facing widespread public resentment over his unilateral call for a draft and concurrent economic distress in the nation, tried to organize a national counterinsurgency against Villa's troops. He was about to lose the election of 1855 when the administration suddenly announced that Villa had been caught off-guard and apprehended. He was found in the Amerantan Sea night-swimming, drunk and naked, with some of his men. "It's not what it looks like!" a panicked Villa tried to explain to the patriots who caught him. The rest of the insurgents eventually put down their arms when they ran out of S'more Schnapps.
Jackson was killed in 1856 one fateful night in Carter's Theater, while watching the comedy play, "My Kennyite Cousin." The production was so terrible that the president literally died of horror. The playwright was later executed for treason.
~Le Nod Parlïametari Repubik od Uiri - Heni Huso
An aborijinal man, Heni Huso was born into a family with 5 children. He was second oldest and he was not educated until the Governor, sent by King Louis himself, paid a visit to his small village and knew that the boy was smart and if educated would probably be a great scholar. Indeed, Heni was educated and did become smart. Smart enough to see that the land belonged to him and his ancestors.
On July 8 1804, Heni, along with his army of aborijinal revolutionaries, stormed the Governor's building. The office was a mess of bloody and clothing. Heni and his army was pushed back, although Huso had single handedly broken several of the governor's bones. Heni took a match and lit the governor's office - while the man was still inside. The man burned alive as his chamber musicians played his favourite peice of music - to commerate the governor.
Heni Huso set-up a democratic form of government, but was killed in battle, defending Uiri from a British invasion which succeeded.
Why Him/Her: The hero of the revolution, died honourably in battle. What more could you need?

Arwia Dumumiayak Dumuatabnik Kishak Leshbarkingdu Kalamak Ninuru, Arwia Tabni for short, is one of the most iconic leaders of Sumer of the past thousand years. She appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the later half of the Great Europa War and led the nation in the rebuilding efforts after that devastating war. Her name is, to this day, synonymous with power and nationality. She remains the only person to have been legally appointed royal status since the dissolution of the monarchies and the creation of the Republic in 6135. She continues to be a popular icon and heroin for the people of Sumer, having gained near mythical status with her influence.
~Mystical Empire of Phenixica - Emperor Belcameron II
Was known for his great leadership and he united the tribes together like never before, also he overlooked the absorbing of the rest of the galaxy under Phenixican control. He also put Phenixica into the inter-galactic stage and put the economy to it's highest in 200 years, also was a master of politics. Died (ingame) a year ago, because I wanted a change of pace and personality in the Empire.
~United Socialist States of Niraamaya - Tattve Neti
He sparked and led the Rebellion that resulted in the creation of the country, and induced massive reform of the government- including democratic policies which he knew would make it illegal for him to run as President.
~The Chazakain Empire - Tartarus
Tartarus rose to power during the communist revolt ten years after The Incorporated States of Chazaka were formed (around the mid 1960's). He ordered the Chazakain Military to take back rebel controlled Cities at any cost and he personally lead the assault at one of the most bloody sieges. Tartarus was eventually elected to President for life, he helped found the Chazakain Empire. In the mid 1970's Tartarus tried to purchases human space flight tech from United States and Soviet Union. He died in 1984, the nation mourned for a month.
Why Him/Her: Helped crushed the Communist revolt in our nation's early history, and jumped started Chazaka's Space program.
~The Empire of Avarahn - First Emperor James Everahn Alexander-Chan-Ishmael the Great and his wife First Empress Catherine Veronica Takashi-Prideaux the Great
Emperor James was the first Emperor of Avarahn and was one of two people that united the many smaller states, kingdoms and nations into the now great Empire of Avarahn. He was fundamental in establishing the Constitution and was one of those who advocated for strong human rights and equality laws. He was also a great military commander and led the Enpire to great victory over their enemies that were opposed to the empire's formation. he was also the one who truly started the Empire's tradition of warrior and military service. All citizens and resident are required to serve in the military for a year. He also out manouvered the communist opponents who wanted to turn the Empire into a communist state.
Empress Catherine is also revered for establishing and uniting the Empire together through marriage with James. She was known for her compassion to the people and started the many welfare and social policies still existing till this day. She is particularly known for first suggesting the extraordinary safeguards against the power of aristicrats in order to protect the people. She is also personally known for her brave military actions in leading a hugely outnumbered force to protect a group of children and orphans. She died in the said conflict but not after defeating her enemies.
Why Him/Her:
Their direct descendant are now descended from the 5 great familes,of Alexander, Prideaux, Takashi, Chan and Ishmael( reflecting the multicutural makeup of the Empire).
But they have adopted the surname of Serention to replace all 5 surnames. It means servants of the people in the native language.
The two equal leaders are revered very very deeply by the common people of Avarahn and by most nobles almost to the point transcendent holiness. Some even consider them to be Gods or prophets at the least. That is why the Emperor is still widely supported and is very very popular among the commoners till this day.
~The Royal Democratic Monarchy of Miroxia - Dictator Roland Fredrick Adams III
Being born to a small family in Miroxia, Roland was always one to love the military. After being a top general in Miroxia's army for 14 years, he retired and came in to power in late 2007 after he assassinated Dictator George Honda. Though the move was risky, many loved Roland after George Honda was discovered to help in the 2007 Miroxian Wildlife Scandal.
Many see Roland as a poor leader because during his rule two civil wars broke out. Though it was true, no one could've ever led the nation through those rough times.
Emerging victorious in both wars, Roland built many relationships with leaders of nations in the Pacific Islands.
In early 2008, he was assassinated by royalists of the north at age 50 and his son Durant took power. Though there were many faults to Roland, there were way too many good things to count about him. He will always be the greatest Miroxian leader ever. 1958-2008.
~Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion - The Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion Woff Jonathan Phoneix
Woff Phoneix is better known as the Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion. He was the only apprentice under Vamp when the Vamperial Order was establish in 1978 and he was the greatest strategist Lynion has ever had. He was born into a poor family during the last days of the Battle for Lynion and quickly climbed the ranks in the military. He joined the army and quickly became a high ranking general and was part of the military forces that defeated Black Dove in the Battle for the Jin Seas. He became Vamp's apprentice in 1978 when he joined the Vamperial Order and quickly climbed the ranks showing excellent victories and a few defeats that he managed to use against his enemy. In 1995, he became a Vamperial Headmaster and had a seat on the Vamperial Council. In 2005, he became the Grand Vamperial Headmaster after Vamp was forced to become the High King of Lynion.
Woff Phoneix would later gain the title: The Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion after he lead a badly outnumbered force to victory over a much larger Pirate Force in 2010. He was the the first person many Headmasters turned to for advice. Woff later became partly cyborg after a failed assassination attempt on him by Rouge Fungi Elements. Woff now seeks to make the Vamperial Order and the League of Wolves powerful in Lynion as the world around them starts to shake and change.
~Imperial Republic of Greal - Bill Watson
Bill Watson in 1980 was a mere Colonel when he was discharged from the military over "corruption". At that time, everyone hated the current president, Scott Walker, and many were planning revolt. Bill quickly planned a revolt himself, and some of the soldiers under his former command joined up. The rebellion started in Womer, where Bill and his "army" quickly took the city, killing anyone who stood in their way. Quickly, hundreds of thousands went to his ranks, posing a formidable threat to President Walker, who ordered the rebellion crushed. Bill held on to Womer for months and slowly took the countryside around Sasha. Then came the final battle the following year, where Bill and his rebellion attacked Sasha and took it after a three month battle. Scott was caught, and personnally shot by Bill Watson. After the revolt ended, Bill became president and was acclaimed as a great hero of Greal. He died last year right after he brought his nation into the world.

~The United Kingdom Of Ustio North - Prime Minister David Foulke
An old man, in his 70's when he retired from office, David Foulke became Prime Minister after the elections to replace PM Shane Kennedy. In his time, he reformed the health service and education service, along with giving the Queen back her rightful title after almost 90 years of being without a monarch. He also led the country through the 4/12 subway bombings, and the gas attack on September 5th. Died not long after he retired.
Why Him/Her: Made major reforms to healthcare, education & transport, re-instated the monarchy and led Ustio through some of the worst terror attacks in it's history. Also a direct descendent of Ustio's greatest hero Arthur Foulke

Political Philosopher responsible for organizing the Principality after the demise of their parent nation. Founded the current royal line and established the national policy of political isolationism and economic diplomacy. Deceased some 1,000 years ago.

~The Kingdom of Heranon - Prince Danielle the Defender
Whenever the British Empire invaded the kingdom in 1450 AD, she organized the army and fought a 20-year-long campaign to elimanate the British from the land, which she succeded in. Heranon remembers her through 'Danielle Day', and the current heir to the thrown, Princess Danielle Henry, is named after her.
~The Fascist Federation of The Grand World Order - Grand Commander Griffith Artiche
Exactly the same as GRIFFITH-II, the current Grand Commander. If he was still alive, Griffith would be at least 75 (Assuming the year for this thread is at least 2020). 6'8", brown hair (Gray-white by death, shoulder length), brown eyes (Though the current Grand Commander has a digital red left eye after a piece of shrapnel ripped through his eye in an assassination attempt).
Why Him/Her: As the founder of the GWO and first Grand Commander, Griffith is viewed as essentially a super war hero, as well as the savior of the masses of nuclear war survivors. Fascists worldwide admire him for his "Fascist Enlightenment" policies, evolutionists admire him for his "Human Advancement" theories, and nuclear war survivors for the GWO's endeavors to secure former nations with no laws, also the work of Griffith.
~The Scattered Golugani People - Golugan Urmira mira Golugani
During the reign of the Golugani nation, imperialistic corsair fleets and oppressive occupiers from inland slowly brought the nation to collapse. It was at this time that Urmira Golugan organized a massive exodus across the world, scattering the Golugani to the winds and roads so that none may oppress them again. By the time the pirates and tyrants realized her plan, all the major cities had been abandoned, leaving the factions that had once been oblivious to one another due to the coastal mountain range to fight over the abandoned lands. She laid down laws, some public and many secret, that would lay down the path to free her people and eventually reclaim their ancestral home.
~The Free Land of Cameroi - Elxtia
One of its principle tenents is that while the material universe is completely impersonal and statistically causal, there are many friendly invisible spirits, most of which are neither gods nor powerful, though one or more might be. their principle charicteristic is that the closer to being godlike they are, the strainger and more incomprehensible.
The most godlike or actual god of them all, almost completely whatever you think it is it isn't. in that sense much like conventional taoism. though it also resembles the core of every belief, as all true revealed beliefs resemble each other, and may well all originate from the same invisible source.
Elxtia was the choosen channeller of that god (or possibly goddess, or even more likely genderless, again owing to its unknowable nature) for that time and place.
It also promotes the concept of science equalling knowledge, while at the same time, existence not being limited to either.
The temples of the nalanuthu are both libraries of objective scientific study, and places, like the gardens, grottos and groves that surround or adjoin them, for quiet spiritual meditation.
~The Third Holy Empire of Anemos Major - High Lord Ilfir Erenthi the First
At a time when the small nation of Contigo was threatening to be overhwlmed by its former master, Ragnos, once more due to the incomptenece and weakness of their monarch, at a time when all were losing hope, a man appeared.
He did not claim to be anyone in particular. Instead, he claimed that the current monarch was weak, that he was decadent and that he was corrupt and through his charismatic leadership, the monarch, King Imris Miridin, was deposed. Under the new King Ilfir, conscription was reintroduced, the war industry created and soon, what had once been a battered, ragged group of militia armed with spears and wooden helmets, always losing to the well drilled Ragnosians, became a highly trained, well equipped army. The Ragnosians, utterly convinced that Anemos would never be able to recover from the reign of their former leader, attacked.
Two days later, they encountered the Anemonian 1st Legion at what is now called Anemos Rei. The city hadn't been built yet, and the Anemonian Army had managed to set themselves up on the flat basin at the top of the mountain. The Ragnosians, managing to move to the relatively safe pass to the east of the basin, began an attack through the pass, intending to break through the 'light' Anemonian lines. The commander noticed, too late, of course, that his enemy seemed to be fully armoured and heavily armed, and before he could react the first of his shock cavalry were smashing into the ironpikes of the 1st legion. The ironpikes were the only professional veterans from the previous army, and they did their job well. Standing their ground, they used their trademark iron pikes to keep the enemy at bay, and behind them the Household Cavalry massed, their arms and armour gleaming in the sunlight.
And at their head was the High Lord himself, crowned, caped, and in one hand a sword, in the other the sceptre.
In front of him was the Ragnosian commander, furious.
The ironpikes parted to let the cavalry through...
Ilfir charged, striking out with his sword, but the Ragnosian commander parried it.
Only to be smashed off his horse with the sceptre, instantly killed by the blow.
The Ragnosians were routed as lines upon lines of heavily armoured cavalry smashed into them, destroying one of their armies for the first time in two hundred years.
Years passed, and as the Anemonians expanded, eventually taking over the rest of the continent, the Ragnosian King himself landed in Anemos, with the best of his troops. Ragnosian Lord Macemen, Thunder Horn Shock Cavalry... it was the stuff of legend. Once upon a time, the average Anemonian soldier would have fled upon seeing them.
But as Ilfir rode up and down his lines, he told them what they hadn't realised. They had nothing to fear. They were better than the Ragnosians! Lord Macemen? The Anemonians had the ironpikes! Thunder Horns? What about the Household Cavalry? And they had more! The 1st Legion! The High Lord's Own Palace Guardsmen, Archers and Rangers! The Sword Breakers!
The battle began. As the enemy sent forth their macemen, Ilfir ordered his ironpikes forwards, and although the macemen were, indeed, ferocious at close range, they could not get past the ironpikes and after suffering heavy casualties they pulled back. Shock cavalry now came galloping out, led by the Tunder Hooves but Ilfir's ploy had worked. He had lured the enemy cavalry out onto the battlefield, and now, as the mainstay of the Anemonian Army marched into their battle lines, Ilfir watched quietly. The thousands of pikes that formed the backbone of the Anemonian Army were lowered, thousands of shields were placed in the ground, thousands of visors were lowered and as the enemy cavalry came, Ilfir shouted "ANEMOS!"
The shock cavalry were repelled. Crashing into the heavy metal shields and spears of the Anemonians, they were pushed back and as they fled the infantry, instead of giving chase, simply picked up their heavy shields and spears and began to march forwards. The Ragnosians could not hope to destroy an intact Anemonian line, and although their king shouted the attack again and again, his troops wouldn't listen. Eventually, he charged alone and it was none other than Ilfir who met him on the field, on foot, wielding a sword and his sceptre. The Ragnosian was on horseback, and as he charged, ilfir sidestepped and stuck his sword in the horse, drawing a line across its stomach and then pulling his blade out. The Ragnosian king stumbled to his feet and charged.
Two flicks of the sword and he was lying dead, bleeding.
Years later it was Ilfir who lay dying, but he had lived to see his country take control of the whole continent of Anemos. It was a victorious death for him, and as he looked out over the sea, watching the sun set, both in the world and in his heart, it is said that he murmured "From commoner to king, my wish has always been the same; to see the flag of Anemos fly forever. And today, I can tell you that this dream will be fulfilled by those here, and those who will come."
His was a life of courage, of self sacrifice, and of love for his nation above all else.

Our III Duce, Zimarhaf Naijarobi led our once pitiful nation out of turmoil and into the world stage. He was born in Sicily in 1943, at that point his name was Julio Vercetti. At that time Italy was in control of Rhodesia-Fascista. In 1989, the Communist revolution had begun in Rhodesia-Fascista, but the puny men and their sticKs didn't stand a chance against our then great II Duce's military. When our II Duce died early in 2009, Julio Vercetti changed his name to Zimarhaf Naijarobi and obtained the nation of Rhodesia-Fascista. Now we have pioneered several events and out nation is prospering very well, and always will all because of our III Duce.

~The Constitutional Federal Republic of ViZion - Hiro "Chiefy" Ando
'Chiefy' is known for leading ViZion into power economically and militarily, putting the country on the map as the leader in human rights. He was well loved and feared by his vast number of friends and the foes he inevitably acrewed, being hard-nosed and confident, making his point as clear as a humanly possible. Chiefy was killed in a terrorist strike while waiting for the arrival of many government leaders on a government cruise ship.
~The Blouman Empire - Emperor Kane II
He brought major reforms through the Empire buildng on those which he had introduced as Prince of Holchmain which brought Holchmain into a golden age and his actions for that was the major reason why he was voted as Emperor by the Royal Council.
These reforms included economic/cultural and administration. OOC: I will get round to this later, while I have listed him as the best in the NSWiki I never did go into detail I will do so here at a later date.

Leader fo falkasia since the end of the Cold War. Has elevated the country from a poverty-striken society into a major wolrd power. Passed numerous reforms and is responsible for some of the greatest Falkasian achievements.

The youngest man to achieve the rank of Admiral of the Fleet at 32, he served the Commonwealth through three wars as a naval aviator. As the current President, his actions have greatly defined the role of his office in regards to international and national relations. He is also the first 'ruler' of the country to hold office without a spouse (he is a confirmed bachelor).
~Kingdom of Mitgar - Adelai Vrushkov
Born into a poor farming family, Vrushkov was kidnapped by border raiders from his home near present-day San Salvus. After escaping them, a series of events led to his employment in the Imperial Palace. His attentiveness led to him preventing the assassination of the csar, Nikolev IV. Later on, he had a successful military career, marked by his continued pursuit of bandits like those who had captured him years earlier.
~The Republic of Ruccola - Pietro D'Agostino
Leader of a popular movement for political change, he reunified the country in 1436 after four centuries of civil war between its four component kingdoms. He is credited with expediting the healing and reconstruction process, and the name "Ruccola" is also attributed to him (formed from Rucaia, Casalveri, Corunia and Lamare).

The last head of State of the former Confederation was born in 2058, amidst a starving world on the verge of collapse due to dwindling petroleum, Lydia has witnessed war, famine and death during most of her life, struggling to survive in the decadent economy. People were nearly starving, and many luxuries were long gone by the time she was only a children. Until 2068, she had to eek a life out of the ruins and junk of their former civilization, on the verge of collapsing into barbarism, until the first commercial fusion reactor and hydrogen production plant was finally built to make oil obsolete. When a young teen, Lydia witnessed the death of billions through the world devastation brought by the nuclear weapons of the Third World War, waged for the last oilfields of Earth, and from the ashes of nuclear devastation, the dawn of a new totalitarian civilization, threatening her people: the Global State. And not only that, but one of the key individuals who ensured that the future of the entire human race would not be that of a boot stomping an human face, forever. Belonging to people who were known as the "lost generation", like all others of her time, she had to dedicate most of her life to serving the collective interest of preserving their freedom rather than individual interests and tastes, with little time for entertainment or rest. Her choice to stand to the bitter end in Earth when offered a choice to escape into the safety of outer space has served to give to her a legendary status, one among many legends of such dark times.
~The Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion - High King Vamperial 'Vamp' Kingston
Vamp was said to be the greatest of the kings since King Johnson the Second who unified Lynion in the late 1400's. Vamp's age is unknown but it was rumoured he somehow swallowed the Master Spirit in 1942. However, Vamp's first appearance was in 1920 when he became engaged to Princess Esther after her parents died from old age. His first conflict that placed him in the History Books (besides his age), was the Battle for Lynion in 1942. Vamp rallied together the commanders of the military forces and devised a plan to be timed with the Hurricane that was due in June. Even thought the commanders doubted the plan, it was executed and the Empire of Japan was masscared in the last days of the Battle for Lynion. However, it came at a cost for the monarchy. After swallowing the Master Spirit when Esther unleshed the spirits upon Lynion, he suddenly went into exile to South Africa until sometime in 1973 he returned to Lynion when he heard that King Lankan and Queen Eliza were assassinated.
Upon returning, he also learnt that Queen Esther was assassinated in 1945 by the Japanese. However, his main areas of success was the formation of the Vamperial Order and the League of Wolves which helped Lynion journey into a Goldern Era. However, there was two times he became the leader of Lynion, when the assassination of High Kings were executed, but he always seemed to find a way to play a minor role. Even though he didn't wanted to become the True leader of Lynion, he instead became the brilliant commander of Lynion that lead his men to a number of victories.
~The Democratic Republic of The American Privateer - Fleet Admiral Jacob "Jack" Ray
The highest ranking military officer of the armed forces, he stands roughly six feet tall with warm green eyes and bright red hair.
Why Him/Her: During the Long Journey when the ships and crews that would eventually form TAP where constantly being pulled from universe to universe throughout the multi-verse, he held the fleet together and helped them to find the Manifest Zone in Universe-135 and come to rest in Universe-N, the home of NationStates. He was elected President for Life by the people, and held that position as the people settled, and used his power to get the nation up onto it's feet and into a position where people could actually care about the government, at which point he stepped down, and asked the people to create a new government, a real democratic one, and refused to run for president ever again, saying that he was too old to learn how to be diplomatic. Should the President and Vice-President both die, he is the next person in line for the Presidency, much to his annoyance, and is the Chief Ambassador of The American Privateer.

Vasili Kavinkov is the current Premier and Commander in Chief of Volzgrad. Born in 1967 in a small village in Korvograd, Kavinkov was not nearly as fanatical or Communistic as some of his other comrades. At the age of 14, Vasili entered the Volzgradien College of Warfare; where he became a top student and set a record for being on the school's honor roll for 7 years straight. After his graduation, Vasili was stationed along with his 26th Korvogradien Grenadiers in the area's north of the capitol city of Adrograd. However, only two weeks into his military career; the Volzgradien Civil War broke out. Naturally feeling patriotic towards his home Republic, Vasili and his men gladly joined the almost Fascist Korvograd Liberation Front. Using a tactical brilliance that would make most high-ranking generals balk, Vasili managed to punch a hole straight through the loyalists defenses , capturing the capitol in less then a week. However, Vasili quickly turned coat and joined the loyalists when it was made official that the KLF had betrayed their long time allies in the south. Vasili, along with future President Gregor Venkov, led their forces to victory after victory; even going as far as publicly executing the Fascist leader of the KLF. After the war, Venkov became President and Vasili was made head of the recently re-founded Volzgradien Patriotic Army. After nearly 10 years of fierce campaigning, Vasili was made head of the National Bolshevik Alliance (known today as the Socialist Vanguard Party). Vasili and his party won a landslide victory during the 2000 elections, even winning a majority government with 70% approval. It was during this time that Vasili's leadership led to the Volzgradien Industry increasing it's efficiency by 60%, the Volzgradien Military claiming 4 more colonies and destroying two nations, and the most famous of all; the capture of Blacktopia along with Volzgrad's Communist allies. During the next elections in 2008, Vasili again won by a massive margin, claiming a 78% majority.
Why Him/Her: Vasili was the man who almost single hand, turned Volzgrad from a Civil War wracked hell-hole to a thriving, advanced, and major superpower. During his reign, Volzgrad's territory has expanded by almost 20% thanks to the many nations and colonies conquered by the world famous Volzgradien Military. Volzgrad's economy was also saved from utter ruin by Kavinkov's famous 6 year plan. While Vasili is still a Socialist at heart, his market reforms have led to a massive increase in Volzgrad's profits and GDP.
~The Liberal Republic of Parilsa - Nicholas Faust
Faust was born at a time when Parilisa was ruled by an extremely right-wing monarchy and as a member of the lower classes he had almost no prospects in life. But Nicholas changed this when he organised a group of people together to form the PRA (Parilisan Republican Army), whose aim was to destroy the unfair monarchy and the system that it dictated. The PRA, with Faust as it's ingenious leader, quickly grew in size and eventualy began a revolution in 2004. Faust was a fantastic speaker; he set people's hearts on fire with his passion filled speechs. Though at times strict and harsh, his intentions were always good and members of minorities and oppressed people found a refuge with him. He was so popular in Parilisa, and such was his power in the PRA, that the King made it illegal to posess a photograph, film, pamphlet, poster or any other material which was related to Faust.
He finaly met his end in 2005, mortaly wounded by a fascist sniper during the assault upon Prezdorf. Statues of him abound within Parilisa's main cities, and he is upheld as a symbol of liberty and freedom.
~The Holy Imperium of Angenteria - Emperor Anticus Riektal I
Having passed away only a short year ago, Emperor Anticus Riektal was a man of many talents. Born into the Imperial family, his childhood was spent most the way most Angenterian princes did. It was only at the onset of the Angenterian Civil War did his talents become known. the treasonous governor Septim, desiring to turn the Holy Imperium into a state run by his fascist regime, stormed the Imperial Palace with soldiers loyal to him. Anticus, only twenty seven at the time of this, watched as his father was cut down in a hail of gunfire. Escaping the Palace, thanks to the efforts of the Palace Guard, he fled west, where he was able to rally support, and regain control of his country after seven years of long, bloody fighting, personally executing Septim after the final battle, and re-assumed reign as Emperor. But that didn't end his list of achievements. Seeing the reign of the Emperor too absolute, he extended membership of the Council of High Lords (the elected government body), to all citizens, and not just that of the aristocracy, giving all the people a chance to make their voices known in the Imperial Court. Also, he is credited for single-handedly establishing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, destroying Angenteria's old ways of isolationism, and began forming actual relations with foreign nations, turning Angenteria into a global superpower.

Emperor Nikolei Darkombye-Windsor never expected to have to become King,as the fourteenth child of the Emperor he was expected to become an Ambassador to a Small country and only return to Darkombye if required by the King but when a civil war torn Darkombye into into two different states and all the immediate family of the Emperor were killed he stepped up and rebuilt Darkombye from its' ashes
~The Federal Republic of Omigodtheykilledkenny - President Elijah Jackson
The tenth president of the Federal Republic is widely credited with saving his nation from ruin when he put down a widespread communist rebellion led by rogue Army Gen. Borracho Villa, who executed assaults on Omigodtheykilledkenny's major cities and commanded a following among Kennyite elite and downtrodden laborers. He eluded capture for years as President Jackson, facing widespread public resentment over his unilateral call for a draft and concurrent economic distress in the nation, tried to organize a national counterinsurgency against Villa's troops. He was about to lose the election of 1855 when the administration suddenly announced that Villa had been caught off-guard and apprehended. He was found in the Amerantan Sea night-swimming, drunk and naked, with some of his men. "It's not what it looks like!" a panicked Villa tried to explain to the patriots who caught him. The rest of the insurgents eventually put down their arms when they ran out of S'more Schnapps.
Jackson was killed in 1856 one fateful night in Carter's Theater, while watching the comedy play, "My Kennyite Cousin." The production was so terrible that the president literally died of horror. The playwright was later executed for treason.
~Le Nod Parlïametari Repubik od Uiri - Heni Huso
An aborijinal man, Heni Huso was born into a family with 5 children. He was second oldest and he was not educated until the Governor, sent by King Louis himself, paid a visit to his small village and knew that the boy was smart and if educated would probably be a great scholar. Indeed, Heni was educated and did become smart. Smart enough to see that the land belonged to him and his ancestors.
On July 8 1804, Heni, along with his army of aborijinal revolutionaries, stormed the Governor's building. The office was a mess of bloody and clothing. Heni and his army was pushed back, although Huso had single handedly broken several of the governor's bones. Heni took a match and lit the governor's office - while the man was still inside. The man burned alive as his chamber musicians played his favourite peice of music - to commerate the governor.
Heni Huso set-up a democratic form of government, but was killed in battle, defending Uiri from a British invasion which succeeded.
Why Him/Her: The hero of the revolution, died honourably in battle. What more could you need?

Arwia Dumumiayak Dumuatabnik Kishak Leshbarkingdu Kalamak Ninuru, Arwia Tabni for short, is one of the most iconic leaders of Sumer of the past thousand years. She appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the later half of the Great Europa War and led the nation in the rebuilding efforts after that devastating war. Her name is, to this day, synonymous with power and nationality. She remains the only person to have been legally appointed royal status since the dissolution of the monarchies and the creation of the Republic in 6135. She continues to be a popular icon and heroin for the people of Sumer, having gained near mythical status with her influence.
~Mystical Empire of Phenixica - Emperor Belcameron II
Was known for his great leadership and he united the tribes together like never before, also he overlooked the absorbing of the rest of the galaxy under Phenixican control. He also put Phenixica into the inter-galactic stage and put the economy to it's highest in 200 years, also was a master of politics. Died (ingame) a year ago, because I wanted a change of pace and personality in the Empire.
~United Socialist States of Niraamaya - Tattve Neti
He sparked and led the Rebellion that resulted in the creation of the country, and induced massive reform of the government- including democratic policies which he knew would make it illegal for him to run as President.
~The Chazakain Empire - Tartarus
Tartarus rose to power during the communist revolt ten years after The Incorporated States of Chazaka were formed (around the mid 1960's). He ordered the Chazakain Military to take back rebel controlled Cities at any cost and he personally lead the assault at one of the most bloody sieges. Tartarus was eventually elected to President for life, he helped found the Chazakain Empire. In the mid 1970's Tartarus tried to purchases human space flight tech from United States and Soviet Union. He died in 1984, the nation mourned for a month.
Why Him/Her: Helped crushed the Communist revolt in our nation's early history, and jumped started Chazaka's Space program.
~The Empire of Avarahn - First Emperor James Everahn Alexander-Chan-Ishmael the Great and his wife First Empress Catherine Veronica Takashi-Prideaux the Great
Emperor James was the first Emperor of Avarahn and was one of two people that united the many smaller states, kingdoms and nations into the now great Empire of Avarahn. He was fundamental in establishing the Constitution and was one of those who advocated for strong human rights and equality laws. He was also a great military commander and led the Enpire to great victory over their enemies that were opposed to the empire's formation. he was also the one who truly started the Empire's tradition of warrior and military service. All citizens and resident are required to serve in the military for a year. He also out manouvered the communist opponents who wanted to turn the Empire into a communist state.
Empress Catherine is also revered for establishing and uniting the Empire together through marriage with James. She was known for her compassion to the people and started the many welfare and social policies still existing till this day. She is particularly known for first suggesting the extraordinary safeguards against the power of aristicrats in order to protect the people. She is also personally known for her brave military actions in leading a hugely outnumbered force to protect a group of children and orphans. She died in the said conflict but not after defeating her enemies.
Why Him/Her:
Their direct descendant are now descended from the 5 great familes,of Alexander, Prideaux, Takashi, Chan and Ishmael( reflecting the multicutural makeup of the Empire).
But they have adopted the surname of Serention to replace all 5 surnames. It means servants of the people in the native language.
The two equal leaders are revered very very deeply by the common people of Avarahn and by most nobles almost to the point transcendent holiness. Some even consider them to be Gods or prophets at the least. That is why the Emperor is still widely supported and is very very popular among the commoners till this day.
~The Royal Democratic Monarchy of Miroxia - Dictator Roland Fredrick Adams III
Being born to a small family in Miroxia, Roland was always one to love the military. After being a top general in Miroxia's army for 14 years, he retired and came in to power in late 2007 after he assassinated Dictator George Honda. Though the move was risky, many loved Roland after George Honda was discovered to help in the 2007 Miroxian Wildlife Scandal.
Many see Roland as a poor leader because during his rule two civil wars broke out. Though it was true, no one could've ever led the nation through those rough times.
Emerging victorious in both wars, Roland built many relationships with leaders of nations in the Pacific Islands.
In early 2008, he was assassinated by royalists of the north at age 50 and his son Durant took power. Though there were many faults to Roland, there were way too many good things to count about him. He will always be the greatest Miroxian leader ever. 1958-2008.
~Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion - The Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion Woff Jonathan Phoneix
Woff Phoneix is better known as the Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion. He was the only apprentice under Vamp when the Vamperial Order was establish in 1978 and he was the greatest strategist Lynion has ever had. He was born into a poor family during the last days of the Battle for Lynion and quickly climbed the ranks in the military. He joined the army and quickly became a high ranking general and was part of the military forces that defeated Black Dove in the Battle for the Jin Seas. He became Vamp's apprentice in 1978 when he joined the Vamperial Order and quickly climbed the ranks showing excellent victories and a few defeats that he managed to use against his enemy. In 1995, he became a Vamperial Headmaster and had a seat on the Vamperial Council. In 2005, he became the Grand Vamperial Headmaster after Vamp was forced to become the High King of Lynion.
Woff Phoneix would later gain the title: The Grand Vamperial Guardian Headmaster of Lynion after he lead a badly outnumbered force to victory over a much larger Pirate Force in 2010. He was the the first person many Headmasters turned to for advice. Woff later became partly cyborg after a failed assassination attempt on him by Rouge Fungi Elements. Woff now seeks to make the Vamperial Order and the League of Wolves powerful in Lynion as the world around them starts to shake and change.
~Imperial Republic of Greal - Bill Watson
Bill Watson in 1980 was a mere Colonel when he was discharged from the military over "corruption". At that time, everyone hated the current president, Scott Walker, and many were planning revolt. Bill quickly planned a revolt himself, and some of the soldiers under his former command joined up. The rebellion started in Womer, where Bill and his "army" quickly took the city, killing anyone who stood in their way. Quickly, hundreds of thousands went to his ranks, posing a formidable threat to President Walker, who ordered the rebellion crushed. Bill held on to Womer for months and slowly took the countryside around Sasha. Then came the final battle the following year, where Bill and his rebellion attacked Sasha and took it after a three month battle. Scott was caught, and personnally shot by Bill Watson. After the revolt ended, Bill became president and was acclaimed as a great hero of Greal. He died last year right after he brought his nation into the world.

~The United Kingdom Of Ustio North - Prime Minister David Foulke
An old man, in his 70's when he retired from office, David Foulke became Prime Minister after the elections to replace PM Shane Kennedy. In his time, he reformed the health service and education service, along with giving the Queen back her rightful title after almost 90 years of being without a monarch. He also led the country through the 4/12 subway bombings, and the gas attack on September 5th. Died not long after he retired.
Why Him/Her: Made major reforms to healthcare, education & transport, re-instated the monarchy and led Ustio through some of the worst terror attacks in it's history. Also a direct descendent of Ustio's greatest hero Arthur Foulke

Political Philosopher responsible for organizing the Principality after the demise of their parent nation. Founded the current royal line and established the national policy of political isolationism and economic diplomacy. Deceased some 1,000 years ago.

~The Kingdom of Heranon - Prince Danielle the Defender
Whenever the British Empire invaded the kingdom in 1450 AD, she organized the army and fought a 20-year-long campaign to elimanate the British from the land, which she succeded in. Heranon remembers her through 'Danielle Day', and the current heir to the thrown, Princess Danielle Henry, is named after her.
~The Fascist Federation of The Grand World Order - Grand Commander Griffith Artiche
Exactly the same as GRIFFITH-II, the current Grand Commander. If he was still alive, Griffith would be at least 75 (Assuming the year for this thread is at least 2020). 6'8", brown hair (Gray-white by death, shoulder length), brown eyes (Though the current Grand Commander has a digital red left eye after a piece of shrapnel ripped through his eye in an assassination attempt).
Why Him/Her: As the founder of the GWO and first Grand Commander, Griffith is viewed as essentially a super war hero, as well as the savior of the masses of nuclear war survivors. Fascists worldwide admire him for his "Fascist Enlightenment" policies, evolutionists admire him for his "Human Advancement" theories, and nuclear war survivors for the GWO's endeavors to secure former nations with no laws, also the work of Griffith.

During the reign of the Golugani nation, imperialistic corsair fleets and oppressive occupiers from inland slowly brought the nation to collapse. It was at this time that Urmira Golugan organized a massive exodus across the world, scattering the Golugani to the winds and roads so that none may oppress them again. By the time the pirates and tyrants realized her plan, all the major cities had been abandoned, leaving the factions that had once been oblivious to one another due to the coastal mountain range to fight over the abandoned lands. She laid down laws, some public and many secret, that would lay down the path to free her people and eventually reclaim their ancestral home.

One of its principle tenents is that while the material universe is completely impersonal and statistically causal, there are many friendly invisible spirits, most of which are neither gods nor powerful, though one or more might be. their principle charicteristic is that the closer to being godlike they are, the strainger and more incomprehensible.
The most godlike or actual god of them all, almost completely whatever you think it is it isn't. in that sense much like conventional taoism. though it also resembles the core of every belief, as all true revealed beliefs resemble each other, and may well all originate from the same invisible source.
Elxtia was the choosen channeller of that god (or possibly goddess, or even more likely genderless, again owing to its unknowable nature) for that time and place.
It also promotes the concept of science equalling knowledge, while at the same time, existence not being limited to either.
The temples of the nalanuthu are both libraries of objective scientific study, and places, like the gardens, grottos and groves that surround or adjoin them, for quiet spiritual meditation.

At a time when the small nation of Contigo was threatening to be overhwlmed by its former master, Ragnos, once more due to the incomptenece and weakness of their monarch, at a time when all were losing hope, a man appeared.
He did not claim to be anyone in particular. Instead, he claimed that the current monarch was weak, that he was decadent and that he was corrupt and through his charismatic leadership, the monarch, King Imris Miridin, was deposed. Under the new King Ilfir, conscription was reintroduced, the war industry created and soon, what had once been a battered, ragged group of militia armed with spears and wooden helmets, always losing to the well drilled Ragnosians, became a highly trained, well equipped army. The Ragnosians, utterly convinced that Anemos would never be able to recover from the reign of their former leader, attacked.
Two days later, they encountered the Anemonian 1st Legion at what is now called Anemos Rei. The city hadn't been built yet, and the Anemonian Army had managed to set themselves up on the flat basin at the top of the mountain. The Ragnosians, managing to move to the relatively safe pass to the east of the basin, began an attack through the pass, intending to break through the 'light' Anemonian lines. The commander noticed, too late, of course, that his enemy seemed to be fully armoured and heavily armed, and before he could react the first of his shock cavalry were smashing into the ironpikes of the 1st legion. The ironpikes were the only professional veterans from the previous army, and they did their job well. Standing their ground, they used their trademark iron pikes to keep the enemy at bay, and behind them the Household Cavalry massed, their arms and armour gleaming in the sunlight.
And at their head was the High Lord himself, crowned, caped, and in one hand a sword, in the other the sceptre.
In front of him was the Ragnosian commander, furious.
The ironpikes parted to let the cavalry through...
Ilfir charged, striking out with his sword, but the Ragnosian commander parried it.
Only to be smashed off his horse with the sceptre, instantly killed by the blow.
The Ragnosians were routed as lines upon lines of heavily armoured cavalry smashed into them, destroying one of their armies for the first time in two hundred years.
Years passed, and as the Anemonians expanded, eventually taking over the rest of the continent, the Ragnosian King himself landed in Anemos, with the best of his troops. Ragnosian Lord Macemen, Thunder Horn Shock Cavalry... it was the stuff of legend. Once upon a time, the average Anemonian soldier would have fled upon seeing them.
But as Ilfir rode up and down his lines, he told them what they hadn't realised. They had nothing to fear. They were better than the Ragnosians! Lord Macemen? The Anemonians had the ironpikes! Thunder Horns? What about the Household Cavalry? And they had more! The 1st Legion! The High Lord's Own Palace Guardsmen, Archers and Rangers! The Sword Breakers!
The battle began. As the enemy sent forth their macemen, Ilfir ordered his ironpikes forwards, and although the macemen were, indeed, ferocious at close range, they could not get past the ironpikes and after suffering heavy casualties they pulled back. Shock cavalry now came galloping out, led by the Tunder Hooves but Ilfir's ploy had worked. He had lured the enemy cavalry out onto the battlefield, and now, as the mainstay of the Anemonian Army marched into their battle lines, Ilfir watched quietly. The thousands of pikes that formed the backbone of the Anemonian Army were lowered, thousands of shields were placed in the ground, thousands of visors were lowered and as the enemy cavalry came, Ilfir shouted "ANEMOS!"
The shock cavalry were repelled. Crashing into the heavy metal shields and spears of the Anemonians, they were pushed back and as they fled the infantry, instead of giving chase, simply picked up their heavy shields and spears and began to march forwards. The Ragnosians could not hope to destroy an intact Anemonian line, and although their king shouted the attack again and again, his troops wouldn't listen. Eventually, he charged alone and it was none other than Ilfir who met him on the field, on foot, wielding a sword and his sceptre. The Ragnosian was on horseback, and as he charged, ilfir sidestepped and stuck his sword in the horse, drawing a line across its stomach and then pulling his blade out. The Ragnosian king stumbled to his feet and charged.
Two flicks of the sword and he was lying dead, bleeding.
Years later it was Ilfir who lay dying, but he had lived to see his country take control of the whole continent of Anemos. It was a victorious death for him, and as he looked out over the sea, watching the sun set, both in the world and in his heart, it is said that he murmured "From commoner to king, my wish has always been the same; to see the flag of Anemos fly forever. And today, I can tell you that this dream will be fulfilled by those here, and those who will come."
His was a life of courage, of self sacrifice, and of love for his nation above all else.

Our III Duce, Zimarhaf Naijarobi led our once pitiful nation out of turmoil and into the world stage. He was born in Sicily in 1943, at that point his name was Julio Vercetti. At that time Italy was in control of Rhodesia-Fascista. In 1989, the Communist revolution had begun in Rhodesia-Fascista, but the puny men and their sticKs didn't stand a chance against our then great II Duce's military. When our II Duce died early in 2009, Julio Vercetti changed his name to Zimarhaf Naijarobi and obtained the nation of Rhodesia-Fascista. Now we have pioneered several events and out nation is prospering very well, and always will all because of our III Duce.
