The first president of Miroxia in many years, Marzipan Cougar, has announced elections for Miroxia's major senate to begin. With 100 seats up for grabs and new political parties forming, something great is going to happen. Shortly after these elctions, Cougar announced elections for the Minor Senate, but, again, those will be later.

PARTIES

Liberal Party
Leader of Party: former Prime Minister Hartford Benson

The Liberal Party is the final evolution of Miroxia's Democratic Party. After winning, then losing an election, the party took on a new approach and persona as "Liberals". However, their views, such as being pro-choice, wanting to lower taxes, and their strong support of civil unions, have seldom changed.

Miroxia's Blue Party
Leader of the Party: Adreni Miroxia Governor Terry Lawwod

After the governemt of Uiri showed little support of the avalible parties in Miroxia, they offered to foiund a BLue Party here in Miroxia. What a good thing it was, for over 500,000 have joined since its founding. Still fairly small, they believe in being as conservative as possible, such as being pro-life and wanting nothing to do with "gay marrige". They have also hinted on lowering taxes a bit.

Green Party
Leader of the Party: Elizabeth Sanders, environmentalist

The Green Party was founded by one of the richest people of all, Elizabeth Sanders. Every year, she donates millions to environmentalistic programs and even protested against offshore Miroxian drilling! With a wide fan-base across the nation, they promote themselves with policies against war and for nature, using taxes to save Miroxia from pollution! Many, though, are against the party, making it one of Miroxia's fair-sized parties.

Adams Party
Leader of Party: Regina Adams

The Adams Party was founded in honor of former dictator, Roland the Great, and former dictator/high councilor Durant Adams. Regina, sister of Durant, daughter of Roland, now wants to restore the old policies of the nation. These would include a mandatory one year in the army, a large army, and using the army to fight for anyone's freedom. People of the Adams Party also believe in gay marrige, but not abortion.

Union of Labor Party
Leader of Party: Weston Harris

The Union of Labor Party is for those who are overworked, underpaid, and not treated right. Aimed mostly at factory works and those in the automobile industry, the Party supports a better working environment for all. They want to lower taxes and raise the minimum wage. They also belive issues like gay marrige in abortion should be up to local government.

Deusists Party
Leader of Party: Archoffeiriad Peter the First

The Deusist Church of Miroxia wants the word of God spread to the world! Wanting to put church and government together, they would make taxes very high and use it for missions trips around to world. They also want to make gay marrige and abortion illegal and wants to put a life in prison penalty on it.

Communists of Miroxia Party
Leader of Party: Yoni Demabaka

This party is truly communist. If elected, this party would outlaw religion and return Miroxia to how it was: an imperialistic empire. They would take total control of all communications and buisnesses and let tax rate soar higher that Deusists rates.

The parties are always open to questioning; let the voting commence!

OOC: Nice capturization of the Blue Party. Funding to everything except administration, commerce, healthcare, education (if you are already funding it only. If you aren't already funding it then it wouldn't get funded) defence and law&order would be cut and the only taxes would be a land value tax (basically pay x per square meter of land) and a flat income tax (pay x% of your income no matter how much money one makes).

That's one issue which I (and hence the Blue Party) contradicts Conservatives on.

Uiri is appaled by Parilisa's obvious support of democratic socialism, a scourge which is less than that of communism but a scourge none the less. How dare you blatantly go against the ideals of liberal conservativism by assisting these obvious posers. Liberal! Ha! They would take money away from those who have earned it and give it to those who feed off of such hand-outs from the government. It was percisely for the reason that there was no voice of classical liberalism, liberal conservativism that the Uir government funded the founding of the Blue Party of Miroxia.

Uiri openly supports the Blue Party of Miroxia, for they are clearly the only choice for those who think that the government should stop interfering in their life.
