Dear friend,
The Colony of Harland was founded in 1500 by British Empire colonists who seeked to reap the large natural resources of the land. Soon, the British Empire took over the small islands to the west of Harland, forming Harland as we now today.
Harland was always very peaceful, with it's good, friendly citizens welcoming all peoples, regardless of race, age or sex. Whenever the colony was granted emirate status and given permission to have a internal government, the people rejoiced, and the government led the nation well, eventually being granted independence in 1800. The government built was a democratic presidental republic, as it remains to this day. The government's headquarters are The Government Buildings.
Now, Harland has decided, following the 2008 Bill of Foreign Relations, to welcome all foreign states to establish an embassy in Harland, so as to bring a start to diplomatic relations and international trade. All nations are permitted, regardless of history or current government.
