History
Following the defeat of the Dark Gods in The War of the Titans, their servants scattered to the cold and unforgiving north where the servants of the Elder Gods would not find them. There they formed small societies and freely worshiped their evil gods.

One society, a tribe led by a dark Sorcerer named Naostor Azavekail, was determined that in order to gain favor with his chosen god, Vazsic the God of poison, betrayal, ambition, and deceit, he would have to conquer the other tribes around him.

And so he and his warriors, infamous for their weaponry that was coated in deadly poisons created from various specimens of what little plant life the north had, slowly conquered one by one the tribes of others and forced them to fight under his banner in the name of Vazsic.

At its peak his territory consisted of a large chunk of the western corner of the Ice Wastes.

However his rule was short lived and those who sought to gain the favor of their Dark God in Naostor's place murdered him in his sleep. Some portions of the Empire broke off and regained their freedom while others remained loyal to the Empire their great leader has assembled.

Years later the marauding forces that worshiped the God of war, battle, death, and blood named Darakhan came from the northern section of the Empire that had broken off following Naostor's death and began to invade the lands.

The Horde which had assimilated the servants of the Dark God of pain, torture, change, and sorcery was carrying radical new ideals with them. It was not long before the forces of Vazsic were eliminated and the empire belonged to the greatest warrior of the war host, Malevik Deruchon.

Government
Following the capture of the Empire Malevik did something unexpected. He gave each of his most powerful warriors a small amount of people, gave them a piece of land, and let them become a tribe. The warrior was named Chieftain of the tribe and was given the freedom to worship whatever Dark God he pleased but he had to swear an oath of loyalty to Malevik to join his war host should they go to war again.

This was done until every section of the empire was divided between numerous tribes. Malevik did not give up all his control though. Every equinox the Chieftains were summoned to The Dread City where they would make up a council with Malevik at the head and discuss the conditions of the land, the favor of the Dark Gods, threats to the land, and any new lands conquered.

If and when a Chieftain dies the strongest warrior of the tribe is sent to The Dread City where he is placed in the Catacombs of the Ancient Ones, a fabled series of catacombs that encompassed most of the underground that The Dread City was built upon. When Naostor first came upon the Catacombs on a hunting trip early in his campaign he traversed the dark labyrinth alone. When he returned, he claimed the spot holy ground and demanded a city be built on this spot where all the powers of the Dark Gods supposedly culminated.

No one knows what are actually in the long stretch of tunnels. Though some rumor that ancient horrors that served the Dark Gods were buried in them by the Elder Gods during The War of the Titans. If the warrior emerges within 3 days then he is blessed by Malevik and is named Chieftain of his village. If not, the cycle is repeated until a warrior returns successfully.

Outside of their territory "The Tribal States of Naostor" was the name chosen for the lands as various scouts reported the presence of tribes but the death of Naostor was never confirmed and so they've simply been referred to as "The tribal States of Naostor" by outsiders. Members of the Tribal States however often refer to their territory as "The Confederacy of Darkness" however the name is rarely used within the inside and outside of the Confederacy.

Military
The Confederacy's military numbers are hard to estimate considering there's no enlisted military. Those who answer the call of the war host are automatically considered warriors.

However warriors come in various forms.
Heavy Infantry: The Chosen (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/WarriorofTzeentch.jpg) - Warriors of the Dark Gods that fight to gain the favor of their particular God. They come in various forms depending on which God.

Basic Units: The Marauder (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/marauderofzeentch.jpg) - Much like the Chosen, the Marauders come in varying forms depending on what their God represents. they live only for battle and are able to fulfill multiple roles. Some use bows, while some prefer to get right in the face of their foe with frenzied melee.

Spellcasters: The Magi (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/112006_cart_04.jpg) - Blessed with the gifts of their dark lords the Magi are able to unleash the deadly magics of their God upon the unfortunate foe before them.

Summoners: The Zealot (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/12192006_17.jpg) - Fanatic servants of their God, these men and women have pledged their life and soul to their dark lords. And for that, they have the ability to summon the terrors of the "Great Beyond", creations of their masters, to fight for them. Not only that, but they carry the blessings of their masters and are able to pass them onto the faithful who wish to fight in their favor. They have only some minor offensive spells but specialize in strengthening their comrades with morale, blessings, and healing magics.

Fodder - The Reborn (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/WAR_CA_00806_05.jpg) - Reanimated fallen servants of the Dark Gods these warriors are brought back to life and given a second chance to gain the favor of their master. Some which have been reborn behind the front lines may be augmented with twisted designs to make them more deadly. Others, reanimated on the battlefield reuse the weapons and armor they died in until they are once again struck down or have finally pleased their God.

Daemons - The Daemons (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/WAR_concept_aug08-1.jpg) - Twisted mockeries of humanity these creatures are summoned by Zealots to do their bidding. They come in various forms from spellcasters to fighters and the degree of how twisted they are depends on which God has sent them.

Mounts - The Whailer (http://images.wikia.com/warhammeronline/images/0/08/Chaos_mount_concept.jpg) - Named for the high pitch whinnies they release, these horses mutated by the powers of the Dark Gods carry the Chosen into battle and through it. They're vicious creatures alone but when their riders are with them they're a frightening duo.

Artillery: Hellcannon (http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/wiki/images/3/36/Hellcannon.jpg) - Named for the frightening screams that bellow from the cannon as it unleashes a powerful explosive upon its unfortunate target. They are the strongest and only form of artillery used.

Battering Ram: The Dark Fist (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/newsletter/2008_02/ram04.jpg) - The standard battering rams created to break down the gates or thin walls to an enemy's Keep. These rams are often decorated with the trophies of their dead opponent's.

Sailing Ship: The Longboat (http://war.warcry.com/global/media/images/galleries/full/15/15541.jpg) - Being widely land dwellers, the servants of the Dark Gods have rarely traversed the sea beyond the shore and thus have no navy. Trips across the oceans are rare and the only situation to prompt them to create a large armada would be to transport troops to an enemy's location.

War Hounds - The Daemon Hounds (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/images/conceptart/WAR_CA_00806_14.jpg) - Twisted by the dark magics of the Dark Gods these once normal dogs are now more so daemons not only in their appearance but also in their brutal hostility to anything that does not serve the Dark Gods.

Shock Troopers: The Champions (http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/hordesofchaos/extras/wallpapers/images/chaos2-800.jpg)- These are the evolved Chosen. These lumbering killing machines live only to spill blood on the name of their God and they often succeed on large scales with their bulky and thick armor, large and terrifying weapons, and size that would dwarf any normal Human.

Culture

The people of the Confederacy are largely hunters, farmers, and gatherers. Hunters are treated and considered as the warrior's of the village. In fact each male villager has killed at least on animal in his lifetime. It's a right to manhood for a boy to kill his own wolf at the age of 13. Sacrifices are often made to the village's God during the season when many of the animals begin to roam the open wastes. Before the hunt each member is blessed by the village's zealot most favored by their God.

During the season when the crops grow well and the plants are plentiful farmers and gatherers will have their own village celebration with prayers and sacrifices to thank their God for the return of life to the land.

Sorry i'll change both of those ASAP.

As for my location the western part of the Ice Wastes will do as you suggested in the Eldire sign-up thread.
