Well, this is just your average "I was looking around the forums and noticed we do not have a, blah blah" story.

I'm thinking about creating a fallout/zombie movies/drug, induced topic based on how we would live in a apocalyptic environment. Alas I am unsure on using a smaller setting such as an isolated city/country, or the entire world thrown in chaos.

I have some ideas on both settings as shown below.


City/Country Loss of power, Nuclear attack, Diseases, ZOMBIES!!!, Deadly weather ( Prob a Fog ), Army of evil Raptors.

World Some sort of natural event in space that shuts down the use of all technology (except for guns and such ) kicking the world back to the stone age, ZOMBIES!!!, Aliens taking 90 percent of the Earth's population, Nuclear war (fallout).


More ideas are open for suggestion and Discussion.

I suggest nuclear war or zombies!!!! or some combination of the two.
The 2nd coming could be cool, where we rp as the few that don't get ported off by de Jesus and basically got to survive in the aftermath.

I thought of some sort of NS Earth vs. Real earth kinda deal. . .but I dunno . . .

dinosaurs become super intelligent, some evolv into half human half dino, they basicly wage war on humans.

It must be zombies. All other choices pale in comparison to the pure awsomeness of zombies.

And I do feel Zombies are a little overused, I only put them up there because they're you know ZOMBIES!!!

Has anyone read the postman? It is basically the world 16 years after a nuclear holocaust. Only strategic military and political centers are targeted so most of the world is ok. Most major cities and industrial centers gone though. After the Nuclear holocaust America (Im from the Uk so I will talk about 'the Americans' a lot) starts to rebuild, however there are a groups of hyper-survivalists who start attacking the government from the woods and mountains etc. The break down of communication because of this results in people dying of starvation in the cities where there is plenty of medical care and farmers with grain silos bulging with rotted grain dead from simple diseases. Everything breaks down, and soon there are only scattered towns left and scavengers who go between them. The hyper-survivalists are despised by the people in the towns because they are militaristic and want to create a feudal country. That is the basic situation in the books. No vehicles, no electronics only guns left. I thought there could be a hyper-survivalist V towns people war or something like that.
What do people think?

Well, I'll wait until we get more replies that the you guys seem to agree on in some forum.

Right now the idea is.

Nuclear war has destroyed much of the planet, and its population. The Few millions that survived the holocaust band together such as towns, raiders, ect. As well as survivors many people, plants, and animals were horribly mutated from the long exposers to the previously untested effects of the Nuclear weapons, creating zombie like things, poison spewing plants, and bald aggressive 6 legged creatures known as the Dau.

I quite liked DaWoad's idea of NS Earth vs Real Earth

We could say that the two universes collide producing strange scientific phenomena i cannot think of let alone spell at the hour of typing this that renders technology unuseable ect and so on.

I don't know if we'd do it on a national scale or a character one... i suppose a character one could be interesting, but... yeah, tis just an idea.

Okay, how about some random plague?

A scientific experiment, in the NS world, creates a rift in the space time continuum, and chunks of the NS world, enter the RL world, as chunks of the RL world enter the NS world. The Rift, also emits power Electromagnetic pulses, causing electronics to fail, causing further havoc. Making modern tanks planes and ships useless, and giving power to those nations with rather old technology. No satellites, no computers, total chaos.

I saw how about we have a nuclear holocaust, and maybe 10 years afterwards, the few million remaining survivors have towns and small village type things, and they begin to fight eachother, and we can RP as towns and stuff.

Yeah! Someone like my idea! I thoroughly suggest anybody to read it, it is called The Postman by David Brin. Another good end of the world book is The Gone Away World by Nick Harkaway. Very spooky and weird but funny and exciting all at once. Excellent suspense as well.

I think we should do zombies. Nuclear holocaust would be difficult, kinda. I think zombies is the best option, because nations would try to coordinate a defense against it and such. The aftermath and reconstruction could also be interesting.

Vampires trying to take over the world would also be interesting. :D

Fimbulwinter, beginning of year two for end of the world RP. Mid-part of year three for apocalyptic RP.

I liked the nuclear stuff, but throwing this in there - this could probaly be a lot more compelling as a character RP, playing out individual people (with maybe the occassional flash as a shattered country) struggling to survive in a world gone wrong. That's been played out in movies, games, etc. yea, but it's been a classical theme that's worked great numerous times over and could have serious potential with multiple RPers throwing their ideas into the melting pot of the RP.

How about..

After a nuclear holocaust those affected by the radiation turn into zombie dinosaurs that roam the charred world as a horde of zombified raptors. (oh wait, those are Jehovah Witnesses lol)
