History

R539, began as a small nation in the year 319 AD. It and it's first province, R540, were not close at all. War soon consumed them to see which would stand on top. However, General Frederick Constantine lead the troops of R539 against R549 and prevailed with little ease. Then, the Rchanian Empire was created.

Since then, the Rchanian Empire has been in the hands of the Constantine family. There were some attempted coups, but the masses always remained loyal to their emperors. In 952, one of these coups was almost successful and was orchestrated by CX4800. In an attempt to win the crown, they attempted to take the life of the current emperor of the time, Richard Constantine.

In the war that followed, the wrath of the Rchanian Empire was brought down on CX4800. It was not a long war, but it was a hard one. The Empire had not had such competition in war since it's beginning. But, the aggressor nation was soon crushed. Later, the Treaty of Byzantium was made and signed by both parties. This treaty inducted CX4800 into the Empire, but it was to be heavily taxed and given little rights in the government. This later lead to revolts, which eventually lead to the repeal of the laws, but only slightly lowered the tax.

However, peace would not last. While the Rchanian Empire was in charge of the region Jesusland, a coup took place. With allied help, R539 was restored to it's seat of co-power in Jesusland. However, this would not be the last coup. About 100 years after the first, another coup was staged. This one was also effective, but was quickly repelled.

In 1430, many other nations wished to be inducted into the Empire as provinces. These included the other factions that had remained separate from the Empire since it's founding: RX595, R595, and This is not R539 (they were mad at R539 for the first war, broke off, and changed their name). Emperor Jacob allowed these nations to join the Empire, but like CX4800, they received little representation and high taxes.

With the Representation Act of 1789, passed through the Representative Congress, the lower part of the Empire's government, and was soon passed. This allowed the provinces to have equal representation based on their population. However, most did not like this and the Government Equality Act of 1793 was passed which created the Parliamentary Congress which had 5 representative from each province.

During the War of the Stolen Oreos in 1982, between Articoa and Dectubech, Byzantium was destroyed. However, when The Shamoin Islands entered the war, the Rchanian Empire made peace with Dectubech and Articoa in order to destroy The Shamoin Islands, a long time enemy of all. After the surrender of The Shamoin Islands, the land was divided and peace soon came. During this peace, The Capital was rebuilt and named Byzantium II.

After the war, two more nations wished to be let into the Empire. They were Constantine the Nation and Byzantium II of R539. It turned out, that when Byzantium II was made, the papers actually included that it would be a separate nation. This was a technicality that was missed and the loop-hole was exploited. After it's two day independence, it was brought into the Empire, making it the shortest lived nation in the world.

More recently however, in 1998, The Shamoin Islands declared war once again on the Empire. It all started with the attack on Dectubech, which failed miserably. Later in the war, R539 and Articoa's space tech was used to great effectiveness. When war was brought to the islands, R539 tried it's best to end the war before any more blood could be shed. When the Grey House was destroyed by R539's PACs, Gerhard Lutzov, the previous leader of Fozcria, Hardurmia, New Grekikland, and Shamoin Islands, was finally killed. After that however, war waged for over a year, but eventually, The Shamoin Islands were annihilated by the Corrosian Coalition. Lutzov's successor, Alexander Vasili, was also killed, this time by a sniper bullet. Peace talks became violent and a sharpshooter was ordered to "take him out". The war officially ended on July 7, 2000.

Just last year, AHX7900 was brought under the protection of the Empire. It is the Rchanian Empire's newest province, but hopefully not it's last.

Government Roles:
The role of the Emperor and his advisers (Higher Government) has the right to make any laws seen fit to impose. The Emperor has the right to veto any bills proposed by the Lower Government. The Higher Government has the only say in such major national issues such as declarations of war and foreign policy.

The role of the Lower Government in the Rchanian Empire is to pass laws of which pertain to the empire as a whole. The Lower Government has no say in major issues for the empire.

Representative Congress: The Representative Congress is the first subsection of the government. Each province has a seat in this Congress for every 50 million citizens that province.

Parliamentary Congress: The Parliamentary Congress is the second subsection of the government. Each province has five seats in this Congress, regardless of population.
