The time has come for all Islanders to experience democracy and have their voices heard in their Congress. This small experiment was done the first time over a year ago with the selection of a village head, or night-watchman. It soon evolved into a fully democratic election on the islands.

As new parties have assembled to represent their fellow islanders a compromise has been reached. In the short history of AHSCA's union progress, the leaders chose their fellow delegates to come to Congress with them. Now it's time the people get to chose.

Current Majority Party: National Islander Party

Current Seating: 15
Seats for grabs: +20
Total from Victory: 35 Seats

Lead Delegates:

Miu Kawasaki (Aurora)

The current incumbent representative and majority speaker of the Congress, Kawasaki is a moderate conservative who want's to show strong family values by helping parents invest in their children's future, by allowing state funds to send them away to be educated, allow them further economic and carer opportunities and to maintain the health and welfare of orphans.

Noted Legislation: Drafter of the Constitution/Declarative of Independence
State Sovereignty Act-Allows each island to maintain their respected sovereignty while still abiding by the Federation.
Embassy Island- Allocated and approved funding and construction of the Embassy Island.
Mokan/Imperial Base-Allowed the nations of Mokostana and Imperial to establish military outposts.

Malene Kura (Hoshino)

A strong believer in more international expansion, hopes to double the size of the Embassy Isle and unite AHSCA with alliances. Centrist in position.



Minority Party: National Lesbian Party

Current Seating: 11
Seats for Grabs: +35
Total from Victory: 46

If this party is elected it will become the new Majority Party.

Delegate:

Kena (Corona)

As a long time Lesbian she co-founded the party with her partner and quickly grew to be one of the largest parties in the Union. She is seeking to make her party the Majority party for the fiscal year. Liberal generally but opposes the current legality stance on soft drugs as well as abortion. Want's a private industry to support in-vitro fertilization for Lesbian women. Supports free religion and belief and hopes to keep it protected along with other human rights of the people.

Noted Legislation: Co-drafted the Bill of Rights

Adorinda (Corona)

A fellow Corona delegate who has served her island before in the Congress. Shares many of the same views as her fellow delegate, but is considerably socialist to borderline communist. Feels foreign business will exploit AHSCA islanders and want's to keep them out. Initially opposed the construction of the Mokanstana and Imperial bases.

United Christian Party

Seats: 5
Seats to gain: +33
Victory: 38 Seats

A small Christian party hope to keep things basic. Generally pretty centrist

Yuuki Mori (Animalpolis)

If elected it will be her first time in Congress.

Alfonz Mori (Animalpolis)

The partie's vice-chief it will also be his first time in congress.

If elected the victorious party will gain the pre-minority cap of 5 seats.

Coalition for the Commonwealth:

Kiet Awut (Stillestando)


Founder of the party wants to extend hands of friendship to other smaller indigenous islands that aren't already nationstates. Supports the current National Lesbian Party as well.

Youth Party

Sunnan (Corona)
A party made mostly of young youth members they want to expand the sphere of influence in the islands.

While we find all the parties are pretty noble, we formally endorse the National Lesbian Party to take over in the Congress.

as we stand we don't have any say in how ,who ,an why to vote for but we do like to know if Miss Adorinda knows that thinks to us you have a ship yard where you can build you own sailing ships

Whilst the Empire of New Chalcedon finds much to admire in the National Lesbian Party, and would be quite willing to co-operate and aid a NLP government in implementing its platform, the Empire finds that the policies of the NIP are generally more sensible.

Whilst we do not make a habit of interfering, even indirectly, in the internal affairs of other States unasked, we are quite happy to state preferences, and have done so.

We have noted your moral support to the NIP and as we believe in the fundamental values of democracy, we are happy you have stated your opinion and belief with out any vicious mud-slinging. This is our first major election for the AHSCA islands and we are kind of wining things, but if anything we are working as different parties to be united and not divided.

Thank you so very kindly for your support, we hope whoever wins the election, we can all still cooperate on the international stage.

Everyone Must Vote, Shino Says

As the elections continue a new issue has been raised by all contending parties, how to get people to vote. Current AHSCA constitution grants the rights of voting for anyone aged 13 (or believed time of puberty) however as a good amount of the population is illiterate, the issue of how to ensure everyone who want's to vote, be given the chance to vote has come up in the process of the debates and democratic process. Shino's solution, she and every other island leader will assist those who cannot, and encourages everyone else to do the same. "I was frighted I wouldn't get a vote," Alkei of Corona said. "I can't read or write, but it's important to me, who represents me, but with my neighbors helping me I can." In addition, photographs of the candidates are placed on the ballot, those who can't write or read can place a clear thumb print of ink on the picture. Ballots and polling booths are being guarded around the clock by the Island Militia forces to ensure no voting fraud is committed. Penalty for attempting a second vote is a one-day jail sentence.

While it isn't in our place to determine the fate of the AHSCA people we find more in favor of the National Islander Party.

NLS Party Holding a Strong Lead

As ballots continue to pour in from all over the islands evidence and opinon gathering shows the National Lesbian Party is holding a firm lead over. As the party continues to strive to be the majority party the party heads are approaching with cautious optomisim. "We hope we can win, but anything can change." Voting ends Sunday.
