All of Aqua Anu was abuzz with chattering of Subaru's important annoucment. It was suppose to be groundbreaking, life-chaning, and probably forever altering the course of the nation's history. Since the death of Queen Mikaux things have never been the same, this was especially true with Subaru. Thrown into the throne it made her seriously consider the bigger picture, and she came to the conclusion and this would be her conclusion not only to the country but to the world as well. As she sat patiently as the cameras and lights turned on, screens everywhere in the nation were now filled with her nervous pale white face. Her soft and somewhat sad eyes drew in everyone. Those who were interested around the world were also showing Subaru.
"Good evening. As you know it wasn't too long ago that my dear mother passed on from her illness of Cancer. For those who outpoured their sympathy I am truly greatful. However in the short course of my reign I've comed to understand what the true nature of being Queen means. Our constitution defines the purpose as to lead her subjects and maintain the state of the nation. To actively train and maintain the nation's Navy, to engage the nation in trade and commerce. My dear citizens, for long I have been your Princess, and for long had I anticipated being your Queen, but I've changed. I am not nor can I ever be my mother. My mother was a strong and bold woman. I am not. I can not stomach carnage of warfare but I know full well, disbanding the Navy would be a grave mistake. I can not part my self of my personal faith and morals and yet be partisan to those who I would deem unmoral. I cannot act in sound mind, I cannot be the Responsible Queen you need. I'm just a young girl. I am not cut throat enough for politics and I can't change how it's done. As such in thinking of all this, I hereby abdicate my position as Princess and Governess of this country. I forever yield my fortune and plan to forsake my modern life. Effective noon tomorrow I shall grant the Powers of Queen to High Duchess Marina Antonioni. Following which I will leave Aqua Anu to the tropical islands of AHSCA to start my life again."
