Capital Change in Corrosia

Dectubech
19-10-2008, 19:08
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT BY DECTUBECH, PREVIOUS CAPITAL NATION OF CORROSIA.

Dectubech has, since the founding of the region of Corrosia, been the capital of said region. Recently though, a rebellious faction has entered the ring of Dectubech politics greatly destabilizing the regional government. There is a real threat of civil war looming in the future for Dectubech, thus, the regional government has come to an agreement that the capital must be moved.

The prime nation to move it to would be Salvatorius, one of Dectubech's stronger allies, and the current consul of the region. However, it has recently been discovered that the position of consul is rigged in Salva's favor, and although his term is not being declared invalid, the capital will not be moved to this nation or to the regional adviser nations, whose positions have also been rigged.

A new addition to Corrosia has been chosen to house the region's capital. This new nation is rather large and powerful, so the capital should be safe in this nation. The nation's government has also proved itself to be a worthy ally of Corrosia time and again, and has been deemed worthy of housing the capital until such time as the political situation in Dectubech has been stabilized. Therefore, Zoingo shall be the new governmental capital of Dectubech!

The nation of Farflorin supports the decision by the founder of our region, as it is a prudent decision in a time of chaos and disarray. It was a wise choice to pick a nation that while a highly valuable ally while still being at arms' length in regards to many regional matters. This is favourable for all involved as Zoingo hasn't been tainted by the touch of corruption and this move will aid in allowing our founder to stabilise while keeping a strong united front.

R539, after much resentment for not being chosen due to the fact that it is an adviser, respects the founder and consul's decision to move the capital to Zoingo. R539's national archivists are also irritated that they must change all international records to accommodate this sudden change.

Dectubech apologizes for not selecting you, but, as stated above, this was an impossibility at the time. We are also sorry for your archivists. If it makes them feel any better, ours are going through the same thing.

Our Ministry of Truth will work quickly to change all records. Zoingo always has been the capital. (OOC: nod to those who get the reference)

Official Communique

The Commonwealth is supprised that it is the seat of Corrosia's new government capital. We would like to tell all of the delegates that the capital is in Amsteldam, also our national capital, so regional political talks may begin soon. We would like to thank all who have congradulated us on this high honor, and we shall not let you down.

Sir Codenski, we repeat for the third time, the capital could not be moved to your nation due to the fact that your nation is adviser, a rigged post in the region.

Rigged! What tyranny is this! Just because there was only one political party when we had the election does not make it rigged! It just ensures our victory because we are smart enough to stay as a team, I guess. I can't believe we have to set up a whole new government now! If we're attacked we're doomed! And if Zoingo goes power crazy...

Arrg. At least Dectubech is being removed from power as well. I never liked having a constant consul. Something good will come out of this after all. It's about time Dectubech gets replaced.

And congrats Zoingo. I wish It could've been me, but... I guess it's for the best. I can't really get mad at you, can I.
Dectubech
20-10-2008, 00:56
In response to Salvatorius' "tantrum", the election was rigged, and you know it. All your party had to do was come to a consensus about who should run for consul, and they'd almost instantly win. And then the other two had an excellent chance of becoming advisers.

Also, neither of us is being removed from power. We are still in charge of the region, its just the capital of the region is in Zoingo now. (ooc reference: NYC is probably the biggest, most influential city in NY, yet its not the capital.)

Dectubech shall attend said conference.

Bryan Windsfeld was awaiting the arrival of the delegates from Corrosia. This was originally the old council meeting hall before it was moved to the Royal Palace in the heart of the city....So Parliament designated this building to host furthur Corrosian meetings, it was old, but it was a sturdy and refurbished building, so nothing was out of the ordinary.

And Bryan awaited the arrival as he sat in the high seat.

The Elder Council of Farflorin, seated in the capital of St. Florence has yet to reach a consensus as who to send to the conference as we are without a leader yet again. Our last leader was a spineless moron who didn't know anything about what he was doing and thus we had him whacked. We will be forming a delegation within the coming hours to send to the conference.

OFFICIAL TRANSMISSION BY THE REGION OF IMMORTAL INTERIMO

We congratulate the region of Corrosia because of their democratic changes. Before Corrosia had been focused on Detubech's corrupt regime. But now, signs of change are coming. Hopefully Dectubech will fall, and a great, new region, will arise from his dictatorship regime. Ultimately, he has become the modern Hitler.

We are ignoring those statements, when has Corrosia ever not been democratic? This is a simple government movement due to political instability in Dectubech and to prevent election fraud. Saying that Dectubech is like a Hitler just like calling yourself a saint.

Official Communique,
Chief Adviser to the Emperor, Sir Karfka, shall soon arrive at the meeting. He wishes to discuss a subject of great importance which has recently come up.

Amsteldam, Zoingo. Corrosian Capital.

Karfka's sonic jet touched down in the airport at precisely 2:15 pm. He stepped off of the plane, sheparded by eight guards equipped with new Decker 3000 rifles. A rather large and hunched man followed them.

The procession marched to the awaiting limo, which had been specially built and pre shipped over to Zoingo bby Dectubech engineers. IT could easily hold fifteen men comfortably. The limo was bullet, explosion, and fire proof. It had water and oxygen. It also came equipt with machine guns and a small RPG. A bottle of red wine was also present.

Karfka settled don comfortably and poured himself a glass of wine. The limo began to move, on its way to what could possibly be the most important conference in the history of Corrosia.

"Very good, if that is the case, I shall prepare the meeting hall." he replied.

Amsteldam (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/74/AmsterdamLuchtfotoBmz.jpg)

The City was the showcase of The Commonwealth for any of the arriving delegates, the city was between 2 points, between the Acrispian Sea, and the Amstel Canal that linked the city of Amsteldam to the ocean. The location of Amsteldam made it important when it came to trade and seafaring traffic. Canals were numerous in the city and the watertraffic was no different. The railways that linked the sea to the inner areas of the country were alive, as well as the trolley cars that honked and rang bells as they crossed a bridge over a canal into a different district of the city. Being in the near geographic center of Corrosia, this proved to be a perfect meeting place.

Bryan saw the other delegates arrive...

Constantine arrived at the meeting hall, finally. They had to wait for clearance to land on the roof. However, he strode into the meeting and ordered his guards to stay outside the room. "Well, I am not the residing chairman...but I believe that the Dectubech delegation should lead on the meeting as they after all, make up the higher council. Buy the way, doesn't it seem odd that Immortal Interimo uses the same type of council we have?"
Dectubech
28-10-2008, 02:39
"Shamoin refuses to acknowledge this fact, no matter what arguments we offer. His leader claims that because he has three members in each section of higher government for his region, its a real oligarchy, not a 'co-dictatorship' like ours apparently is," explained Karfka as he stood.

"Actually, the Shamoin Islands is what I want to talk about most," he said. "As you all know, he has been a pain in the ass since the founding of Corrosia. And he will not go away. Recently however, he has suffered major setbacks. 1. Gerhard Lutzov, the previous leader of Fozcria, Hardurmia, New Grekikland and Shamoin Islands, is dead, killed by R539's PACs. Now, the man who lead the Fozcrian States through their darkest years is dead. 2. His successor, Alexander Vasillini, is also dead, killed, once again by R539, this time by a sniper bullet. We owe you much, Constantine," he said, nodding in the man's direction.

"3. Following that devastating war, in which the islands were bombed and attacked viciously by all of us, the nation has suffered from a debilitating disease, caused by Kryozerkia's mystery bomb. This disease caused the citizens of Shamoin Islands to mutate into Zombies, or 'Re-animates'. I believe that with the help of The Royal Code and Swaq, this disease has been all but defeated.

"Now, the nation is back to it's old techniques. It recently caused Salvatorius, the regional consul, to sway in its loyalty. That is my primary subject. This action is clearly an aggressive maneuver, coupled with the fact that Immortal Interimo has recently elevated to DefCon Two. This could be a precursor to war. Therefore, I propose a peremptorily strike to stop him. Even if we do not do this, we should elevate all defenses immediately to prepare. Any comments?"
Farflorin
28-10-2008, 03:10
An agent from Farflorin had entered in while hiding within the rank and file of various official looking individuals coming and going. The agent was considered unofficial because he wasn't part of a delegation. But as a delegation couldn't be established, an agent within the FSIA (Farflorinian Security & Intelligence Agency) had been assigned. However, he wasn't versed in the subtle nuances of diplomacy and found himself blending in until he had a chance to listen to many of the gathered diplomats and leaders speak.

He finally spoke up. "Ahem, but it seems you are mistaken, Karfka. The bomb may have been launched by Kryozerkia but it is not theirs. We are the ones who supplied it. We advised them to use it. We needed to see it in action and The Shamoin Islands made for a good controlled testing area."

His eyes shifted and he fidgeted. "The zombies were just...a miscalculation. But, in either case, it was a good way to halt it. If the honourable leaders will hear me out, I would like to give each of you an opportunity to test out the latest in highly controversial and experimental Farflorinian missile technology."

His eyes twinkled. "This of course is supplied to our allies for free. And the Elder Council has approved the donation of three. They expect it to be used without questions. This is because our scientists refuse to disclose information."
Zoingo
28-10-2008, 03:31
Bryan stood up...

"Indeed, I was intrigued by the "Salva Switch"....yet I am not overall concerned with this matter, what I am concerned with, is the fact that the Defcon 2 worries me at this time. That is to say, I have no doubt in the valor of our armies and navies to deal with the problem that is known as SI...but what on the account of any more switching of nations before a Defcon 1? The Royal Navy can scarcely protect all of our overseas colonies now, and such a force headed our way could be devestating..."

He then turned to the Farfloring deletate that recently made himself public.

"As for the weapons........I find that using any more of these, though quite ammusing and downright hilarious....is not needed at this time."
Dectubech
28-10-2008, 12:48
"Excuse me for the slip, sir," said Karfka soothingly. "As for those missiles of yours, I agree with Bryan. They are no needed. If you remember, when Kryozerkia launched the missile at the Shamoin Islands, and the re-animates appeared, some nations wanted to attack Kryo to punish them. If all of Corrosia was to use these weapons, it could bring grave consequences to the region."

"I repeat," said Karfka. "Should we attack before them? Dectubech for one has more than enough power to defeat The islands alone, although we are uncertain about capabilities against all of Immortal Interimo."
Farflorin
28-10-2008, 13:12
"Immortal Interimo is pretty much just a neutered yapping puppy with no teeth. Even if your nation went alone - which we are not going to advise - it's entirely possible to take on Immortal Interimo. After all, they lack man power. Especially if any attempts to win defections are successful." the agent replied. He then pulled out a small book. Opening, he flipped through a few pages.

He glanced back up. "We realise the missiles are entirely controversial, so, we only offer and not push. However, if you are going to pre-emptively strike, perhaps you may consider sending in Farflorin Droids to take the initial damage, since it's no secret that SI will respond. Droids are a dime a dozen for us and it would spare the lives of our allies."
Dectubech
28-10-2008, 22:06
"A wise decision," said Karfka. "However, are these droids truly battle capable? Do they have comprehensive AI? Can they think on their feet and improvise? If not, who is their commander? Another, more advanced droid, or a human? We have recently dabbled in new types of soldiers. We considered robotics, but after many tests, we deducted that out technology was not sufficient to make a robot that contains the impulsiveness and initiative of a human while still maintaining the cold calculating power of a robot. Therefore, we delved into a different branch of technology, which I shall discuss later."
R539
28-10-2008, 22:21
A few minutes back....

Constantine thanked Karfka.

Present....

"I think we are getting ahead of ourselves here." Constantine began, "Perhaps we should just provoke him to war without action on the behalf of our armies. It would be unwise for us to start a war. We should just make him attack us. After all, do we want to look like the monsters of this inevitable war?"
Articoa
28-10-2008, 22:31
Mandan woke up from his mid-meeting nap.

"Wha-? Huh?" he said waking himself up. And aide wispered what had just happened.

"Oh, well, the Articoan Empire will supply our airforce, navy, and our ever-present moon cannon to wipe off any 'problems'. You have my word."

He then began to nod off once more.
Dectubech
29-10-2008, 01:24
Karfka put a finger to his lips and walked over slowly to Mandan. he bent down and cupped his hand over Mandan's ear, as though about to whisper a secret. He opened his mouth...

"WAKE UP!!!" Roared Karfka right in Mandan's ear.
Salvatorius
29-10-2008, 02:08
The sound of a hummer sounded outside and the door of the meeting opened. Through the open doorway you could see the pink hummer drive around to find a parking spot.

Standing in the door frame was Salu Void.

"I am here on my father's behalf. He apologizes for switch. It had to be done," the fourteen year old spoke. "I hope you can receive me into your meeting."
R539
29-10-2008, 21:04
Constantine whispered to Karfka, "That Hummer was a bit flamboyant. I hope it does not reflect the owner..."
Dectubech
29-10-2008, 22:00
Karfka ran a hand through his hair and muttered back. "I'm not really sure. The kid's smart, but I think he's a little self centered, he just knows how not to show it. Except for the Hummer. I've never seen him in any other vehicle..."
Articoa
29-10-2008, 22:42
After glaring angrily at Karfka for a few minutes, Mandan decided to try and put the meeting on track.

"Is there any possibility of putting economic sanctions on the Shamoin Islands?"
Dectubech
29-10-2008, 23:38
"Well, we certainly don't have anything to do with the Shamoin Islands or Immortal Interimo already, except for hurling general abuses," responded Karfka. "Define exactly what you would like, please."

ooc: Really, I can never remember what sanctions are.
Zoingo
30-10-2008, 02:16
ooc: Sanctions are like an international condemnation of a nation, region, or alliance. There is a sub-category, economic sanctions, which basicly mean that certain goods are not allowed into a country, almost like an embargo.
Farflorin
30-10-2008, 17:41
The agent listened to Karfta's concerns then after a brief consultation with his notebook glanced up again. He was ensuring he followed the bare bones of basic diplomacy.

"I understand your concerns. But, our technology is beyond basic robotics. We have comprehensive AIs in our droids, and our droids aren't limited to simply just military endeavours. They originally began as household servants and industrial line aids. Once we learned more about this technology we began to expand their roles. Our droids are able to drive cars and recognise human versus inanimate object obstacles on the road.

"This technology has been in use for a good hundred and fifty years to date. It was within the last twenty-six years that we evolved the role of the droids. There now exist different classes; each with a designated purpose. The AI responds to the English language, regardless of the dialect and is not only able to carry on a conversation, though lacking in emotion and empathy but it is functionally literate. We're working on enhancing its ability to function in other languages.

"While not impulsive, it can perform its calculations in a timely manner to make it appear as though it is impulsive.

"Now, in regards to the military class droids, they can be trained to recognise enemy combatants based on certain characteristics. They can also be programmed to not fire on civilians of the enemy side."
Dectubech
30-10-2008, 21:21
ooc: Thank you Zoingo.

ic:

"So they have enough AI to combine the best of humanity and robotics?" asked Karfka one last time for confirmation. "Also, Manden, why not impose sanctions period?"
Articoa
30-10-2008, 23:04
"Well, we could possibly ask for other nations' help in an all-out sanction on the nation I suppose." replied Mandan, this time awake.
Zoingo
31-10-2008, 01:45
"Such could work...however, we have to worry about Immortal Interimo and any affiliates that this region has, as trade amongst themselves is perfectly plausable even if we sanction the country."
R539
31-10-2008, 02:46
"I say we just blockade the damn place." said Constantine as he tuned in to the conversation. "Seriously, with Articoa's Navy and my Air Force, nothing will get in. I just don't want to waste any of my money of jet fuel though..."
Zoingo
31-10-2008, 04:09
"Well, what would be the consequences of such blockade? International Outcry? Public Rage? An attack on Corrosia? The possibilites are endless."
Farflorin
31-10-2008, 15:28
The agent listened for a moment before speaking up. "A blockade may indeed cause a backlash but progress can't be achieved without obstacles. You need to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. So what if The Shamoin Islands cries for help; they've proven themselves to be untrustworthy, even if there are gullible fools out there who buy that drama queen act."
Articoa
31-10-2008, 21:28
"Hmm. All points here are true. But we could call for help from the WA, at least us nations who are members. They could approve a worldwide sanction upon the region." added Mandan.
R539
31-10-2008, 21:39
"That would never work. The World Assembly would not aid us in our sanctions. The WA actually doesn't do anything in a worldwide organization manner. They won't allow a NATO or anything."
Zoingo
01-11-2008, 00:13
"I agree that the WA never accomplishes what a single nation or alliance would require from them. We cannot count on the WA....and I agree with our Farflorin agent that we should expect backlash but only to overcome it."
Dectubech
01-11-2008, 01:30
"Backlash? Preposterous," laughed Karfka the only nation that may interfere would be the Royal Code, and I for one would be glad for a chance to smash them. They've fallen prey to SI's tricks. Few other nations would come to such a nations aid if we imposed sanctions. And I agree, the WA would be useless in this situation."
Articoa
01-11-2008, 12:30
"Alright alright, fair enough. So what else do we propose, besides all out war?" Mandan opened a canister in his hand , popping a few purple pills into his mouth.
R539
01-11-2008, 16:02
"Ecstasy Mandan? We're in the middle of a meeting for God's sake." Constantine began, "I contacted the president of The Royal Code and he said they would stay out of a war but are just helping yo clean up SI. Which reminds, It's now KC, not SI."
Zoingo
01-11-2008, 16:31
"Why now the KC?" Bryan asked. "And I am sorry to say this, but ecstasy is not permissable in government buildings or grounds, either take it outside or throw it away."
R539
01-11-2008, 18:12
OOC: He cant log on to SI.

IC:
"Well, he already took some..."
Zoingo
01-11-2008, 18:41
"I would still like to ask for the remainder of it disposed."
Farflorin
01-11-2008, 19:38
"Either way, he could be considered effectively neutered at this point. We don't need to worry too much in terms of a threat. Though, they have turned their attention to NC. No worries though, there is a presence there. No matter what KC tries, they will never succeed. They may be able to keep trying but they won't get anywhere. They lack the manpower."

IC: mandan turned to Karfka seductively, "You know what blue, I think purples got a thing for you. You should go check her out..."
Karfka sared at Mandan for five minutes, Mandan staring back. He never blinked...

"Oh my god!" Mandan yelled. "Constantine, duck the ceiling's falling!"
Mandan flailed his arms. The council decided to ignore him at this point.

"Anyway," said one of Mandan's aides, "I'm pretty sure the forces in New Caribbean could handle themselves. I know they've seen wars, and those turned out pretty well. At least as well as war can go."

OOC: the ecstacy trip was R-chan's idea. Happy?!
R539

ooc: no not really lol

"Constantine" Bryan said as he snapped his fingers. "I don't want any more....interruptions such as those that happened, now if you could please dispose of what is left, or at least put it outside in your helicopter."
R539
02-11-2008, 20:43
"What the Hell are you talking about? I saw Mandan throw it away when he went all psycho. Didn't you or do you not have eyes?"
Zoingo
04-11-2008, 01:55
Keeping his cool, Bryan replied. "Yes I have eyes, and my various secretaries and workers also have eyes, and they can see that you slipped it into your pocket we were discussing the threat of the KC as well as his associates and during the whole shinanigan that happened.."

"I propose a simple solution," said Karfka, while flipping out his knife, cutting open Constantine's pocket and throwing the pills to Bryan (not before slipping a few in his pocket for later, of course). "War won't work as we have seen. Therefore, we simply ignore the region and move onto other matters. If they attack, we jump into action, but the second war ends, we forget about them. We have tried this tactic before, but I truly believe it can work now.

"Now, onto other things. What say you we discuss new weaponry? I propose a recess so that each of us can collect weapons experts and various equipment from our nations. We could reconvene in say... 2 hours? and discuss our power."

Constantine had already slipped a few out of the bottle under the table and put them in the other pocket before hand. "These are $200 pants!" Constantine yelled as he stood up and pointed at the gash in his pants. "You owe me or I will wage war on you. Pay up right now. I'm sure Barrack would be mighty pissed off if your plane "got lost" and "drifted off course". It's a large atmosphere, accidents happen"

"Haha, your mom happened!" blurted Mandan. "So seriously, Purple, are you with Green, no, I mean Blue, wait... Orange?"

His aide decided to take diplomatic duties on his own.

"The nation of Articoa as of now has A2M-C, the second Articoan Moon Cannon on well, the moon. We also are in development of non-civilian space cruisers, using ion-charged cannons and fission engines. We also are in possession of five ICBM units and two tactical nuclear missles. Not exactly anything massive, but we toned down our old arsenal after WA inspections and the War of the Oreo.

Navy wise, we have thirty Reagan-class carriers, and fifty-two Smity-class battleships. There are forty frigates and standard subamrines each. We also possess twenty special-ops stealth subs with anti-radar abilities.

Our Air Force comprises of eighty standard A-47 jet fighters, sixty-five R-5 stealth bombers, thirty-two Nevanu gunships, and the famous air squadron of twelve fighters known as Orek's Falcons.

Sadly, I don't know as much on our land capabilities, we haven't invested as much in it.
Also, out figures are based on public records. Codenski and the higher-ups don't like to give away many details. Let us knwo if you need any support or need to 'borrow' any of our forces."

"So I'm assuming we're not holding the recess?" Karfka said to Mandan. He then muttered to Constantine, "Take your own advice, accidents happen. Bryan turned to his nearest aid and put the bottle in her hand.

"Please dispose of this." he asked.

The secretary began to walk out, and on her way out she taunted to Mandan.

"Look out! The ceiling is falling again!"

Bryan looked at the secretary sternly, and then she left.

"Oi vey..." Bryan said as he shook his head.

"Actually you can," responded Karfka, his voice barbed with contempt. "Unfortunately, you have witnesses here. All around you. My entourage has heard you. The other delegates have heard you. Also..." he said, pulling something out of a coat pocket. "We're on a live satellite feed to Barack City where Cyan Barack II is listening to the conversation. And I doubt you'd be foolish enough to kill both the emperor's chief adviser and his son. Because that's what you'll have to do to keep this quiet. So just forget about it and stop being foolish. Now can we please get back to the real issue at hand?"

"Even so, evidence could not be found to actually link it to me." said Constantine, outsmarting Karfka. "You see, who would be able to differentiate between an accident and an 'accident'? While evidence points to me, I could not be linked as there is that possibility for pilot error, engine failure, bird intake, etc. the list is almost endless of possible things that could go wrong.

"So, why don't you just pay me and dispose of the ecstasy I saw you put in your pocket."

The fighters would be able to function in space or in the atmosphere. We may have to sell our Nimitz class carriers if this technology proves effective. Any starting bids?"

We have made great advances with the technology and are in the midst of converting all branches of our military into biological weapons. I have brought with me an example of one of our new soldiers." The hunched figure stepped forward and shook off it's cloak rising to it's full height of twelve feet.

"This creature of taking multiple shells right in it's chest and is near immune to both heat and cold," reported Karfka. "It's diet consists of genetically engineered coral which allows it to create "bullets". It has two gun like attachments in it's hands which fire shards of coral refined in it's stomach at targets. It is accurate to within a hundredth of an inch. It has a top running speed of 40 miles per hour. It is the peak of our technology.

"We have also began to develop tank, ship, and jet versions of the creature," added Karfka. "We currently have 20,000 soldier versions, and 1000 tank versions, with 250 jets and 250 ships being built. We are also adding in new facilities so that we can create more at a time. Any questions?"

"Actually we have...I would gladly show you what we are working on, but at this moment I do not have the blueprints of our newer "Songdo" class carrier on me. The RN was always into using the Nimitz super carrier, but our design team started developing blueprints of a new carrier that contains room for our larger growing fleet of Harrier Aircraft."

Bryan shuffled through his notes...

"Because of the Harriers ability to land and takeoff upright, the new class converts old, wasted deckspace into room for more armorments and tactical equipement, as well as a thicker hull."

He then glanced back at Constantine.

"Im sorry if I did not make any sort of comment refering to this earlier, as this might have explained the 'outdated comment' I made."

"Why the Harrier?" Constantine asked. "The F-35 is far superior to it. It has your wanted veritcal takeoff. The naval model is able to do that with it's piviting afterburner. It's called the "Joint Force Fighter" for a reason. Each branch of the military has a specific one to do tasks unique to the branch. The F-35 is also stelth and supersonic.

"I suggest you update your fleet. you should stop shoving ass-loads of money into that slow junker and upgrade it for the better thing. My military has quite a few extras. We could sell you a Nimitz and a carrier load of them. After all, when the spacecraft carrier and fighters are developed, they will be obsolite to us."
