Go to the NSD (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?act=SC&c=2) and learn how to design an effective tank, lots of weird army obsessives there that can help you out. 3. read the stickies at the top of the forum, aye they are long and boring, but they are vastly helpful.

How are the tanks generating the necessary energy requirements? How are they not weighing half a billion tons? What about recoil? Five railguns firing 300 rounds per minute would generate a lot of recoil, as the recoil of a railgun is equal to the force used to propel the round.

Unless you are in future tech land, this is an infeasible product that nobody would accept in their RPs.

OOC: Tanks don't have the necessary surface area to accommodate sufficient heat dissipation; and that still wouldn't solve the problem that even a single railgun firing 300 rounds per minute would quickly disintegrate, let alone five. And you still don't have anything in it generating sufficient energy to run the things. And... a ten man tank?! Even a conventional tank weighing between 60 - 80 tons wouldn't even be able to travel at a speed even close to 150km (per hour?), let alone the monstrosity you're proposing.

As I said, you can push this if you want to, as it's all freeform here, but nobody will accept it in an RP. You'd get greater respect from designing a more feasible tank in greater detail.

OOC: Technicly speaking that's not even a very detailed (Or realistic) tank design either. Far less wanked then the one in this topic, but still.
For example, your engine does not ever get "2.3MPG", the AGT-1500 gets at best 0.57MPG. Second it's too light for that kind of engine and transmission, or armour, or gun (Unless it's the M81 or a variant, which would make it useless against tanks). Your poor gunner has to double as loader, that will end badly. SACLOS is definitivly obsolete by NS standards. And for the life of me I can't see the point in a computer to calculate incomming projectile deflection as LRPs rarely, if ever, deflect these days, HEAT can't deflect, and I'd have to start laughing if you met up with an enemy firing APCR or APCBC at you. Not to mention in the time the computer will take to calculate the deflection, the round will have hit you, so what point is there to it?

7,000kg for engine and drivetrain.
1,000kg for fuel.
8,000kg gun, FCS, and ammo.

Tack on say, another 1,000kg crew, their supplies and stuff.

So we have 17,000kg right there. That's 18.7 short tons right there. In the remaining 10 tons you will barely be able to create the depleted uranium, let alone the rest of the armour material, tracks, and suspension.

So no, it's not realistic.

IT wasn't god moding, more TOMORROW NEVER DIES. But the good thing is, if it looks like an accident, then Dagobah V is the one who looks bad for starting an international incident fo no apparent reason.
