The other day, I had a really interesting idea for a new RP. I was playing Space Empires V and Spore, and was strangly thinking about FT nations on NS. I thought about how cool it would be to have like a gigantic galaxy, with different species and ships and the whole idea. For a while now, I've been sitting on my hands and trying to develop the idea further.

The whole idea is that players would start out with a unique species and planet, just starting their journey (or not) to other star systems and into the vastness of space. Players would develop this planet infrastructurally, as well as societially and technologically into a galactic superpower. You'll be able to make your own unique weapons and designs, organizations, treaties, and even colonize new worlds and sell to other races. Nothing is off-limits here. If it can be conceptionalized and realistically done, it works. All of this will be possible through a unique modification to the board's scripting.

Now I know, this may not be any different from what goes on here in NS, but still, the idea is quite different from what I frequently see here on NS.

Homeworld/Planet: Ralakon
Description: Huge planet the size of Jupiter, its climate varies. Ralkovia conquered its world almost 10,000 years ago but has preceded slowly. It also calls itself "the race." It is starting to expand as the world can no longer hold the 800 billion population.

"The Race" is an insectoid type species with queens but a single Emperor who rules the entire world. The vast majority is made up of mindless worker drones(about 650 billion) who have an extremely short life span, then there are soldiers, 50 billion in all. They are intelligent workers and have an exoskeleton that provides them protection. Then there are different populations of castes. Most ralkovians are stuck on their homeworld and only the ones with wing can fly.

The capital ships they use are called "hives" and are capable of interstellar travel. Each hive holds at least 100 million "race" and a queen and breeding mate. The Hives are colonization ships and when they arrive near a planet they deposit the Queen and her breeding mate along with most personnel except for those needed to allow the ship to get back to the Homeworld.

The Race has at least 100 Hives in space. Though the race is united in name and homeworld, competition between hives is often the ralkovians worst flaw as Hives are free acting units and not held by any Ralkovian law in space it is not uncommon for hives and their support ships to attack other hives. Especially if the queens dislike each other or the breeding mate is a threat to another breeding mate.

The Royals(queens, breeding mates, and The Emperor on a larger scale) of the Race have telekinetic abilities as well as the ability to control workers and take control of soldiers for a short time when they are in a vicinity. A hive ship is often built on this principle and only extends to the limits of the Royals ability of influence so that no part of the ship is out of their control.

Hive ships are a mix of organic and inorganic materials that allow the ship to sustain massive damage but repair itself. Short of transporting a nuke inside the bridge of the ship there is no way of getting a "one shot, one kill" on the ships.

While not invulnerable the ships can be repaired from most damage if the queen sacrifices her children(workers) to bonding to ships hull and repairing it by killing themselves.

(Okay well I decided that different Hives of the race have different looking soldiers and different looking workers. Also I'm going to add lists of soldier types and there war machines in a comprehensive list as soon as I find the time.

I would also like to become the main antagonist of the story and have the most people for that reason.

Well, I originally was going to do it freeform, but we can work some stories and antagonists in there. As for the different soldiers and workers, as well as varying types of machines and equipment, take your time. There's no rush.

Race: Moderians are Shapeshifters, capable of shifting into any shape. Though it it is a painful process and sometimes takes very long. They are intelligent but very peaceful, only fighting when they have to.

Planet: Half the planet is covered in a shallow ocean, so even Moderians can walk across the ocean if they need to. The remaining half of the planet are plains, and in the north are massive volcanoes that lay waste to the North pole. Half of the plain areas are covered in massive dome cities.

The assortment of earthlings once part of a huge Federation, which had just introduced the concept of accepting aliens into their Federation, were left to die on their mega city infested planets and over populated worlds when the Federation destroyed itself. After years of enduring death, raiders, alien slavers, and warlords, a order called the Tech Devicers united their homeworld, and soon set free the other worlds from the clutches of evil.

At first, a mutual alliance was formed for trade, protection, and informaiton. Soon a Republic was formed. The Fleet Pact was called to action, and those of the Military, even the sons they hardly knew.

The Fleet Pact has a assortment of advanced ships, using their hulking behemoths that are their capital ships at the fore of thier battlefleets. Their Cruisers are used to carry their Marines to action. The Marines are their strong arm, used in boarding actions, and in taking planets. Millions are put into the military to protect the Fleet Pacts ever growing borders, and their mighty fleet, the center of the Fleet Pacts life blood, grows stronger each day.

Battlefleets range from 150-2500 ships. Battle groups are around 25-60. Capital ships range from 14-30 Kilometres (The Battlecruisers are made for rampageing inside fleet formations, Battleships are used as sword in any advance, and Carriers are used to either transport huge numbers of Marines, or colossal numbers of fighters.) Cruisers are the work horse of any fleet, and carry enough Marines to stand as a small army. Frigates, used as support ships, are good at weaveing in and out of fleet formations and using thier shield ram to break down larger ships when needed.

Marines, advanced warfighters, are good light-medium infantry. But they are no match for a well organized team of heavy infantry. Their weapons are made for anti armour purpose, and use plasma based weapons, like the Fleet Pacts ships. Their armour includes a personal shield system and comm network. They are effective in small numbers in ships, and huge forces on the ground.

The politics include senators from all over the Pacts territorys fighting for higher office. The chaos is kept at bay by a council, which include the leaders of each planet. Military control is assumed by a Master of Arms, and a High-Admiral from each planet as well.

There are a total of 32 home fleets (2500+ ships) 200 Guardian fleets in each Pact (500-750+) 1000 Exploratory and Colonial fleets in every one (150-200) 3000 Deplomatic Fleets in each (20-30) and 40000 Trader Fleets (45-80) spread out across the Republic and beyond.

There are 32 Home Sectors, plus their colonies and strong holds beyond. The borders are marked with the 'Outter Sectors'. These are mostly defended by the Pact Rhine. Their rivals Pact Talbane hinder them most of the time.

(well I'm going to add new soldier species to my list everytime we get in fights that way I have a huge versatility to give you guys a new scare each time we fight. I also have an easy realistic way to have this happen as well. The queen has at least 1 million children in 3 days which means there are a lot of mutations some are lucky and become the next super soldiers, others are not so lucky)

Description (Planet) : Planet is a tidally locked planet that half is covered in severe heat/light and other side is always cold/dark. Only the area between the two is still habitable,(this occurred fairly recently), the Planet is currently .8 AU away from its home star a G4 star. There are 2 other rocky planets and 4 gas giants in the system, Dius Fidus also has 2 moons, one fairly big(about 35 of the planets mass) and one much smaller(only about 8%),

(Race):There are two sentient species on DFP 2, one larger,stronger,smarter, and longer lived(at least they think they are) reptilian race the Fiduses, and a smaller,weaker,dumber mammalian like race, the Diuses that has just recently(as in 2 generations) been granted its freedom from an unjustified slavery due to a violent rebellion. Both races are bipedal, the reptilian branch has 16 digits and the mammalian has 20 digits. The two races have built several interplanetary probes/spaceships, they have visted the bigger of their respective moons, and are currently planning to visit the other. They have also sent probes to the surrounding rocky planets, and know of the asteroid belt around 2 AU.

(Government): The two species elect members to a plantery government, the species elect to different legislatives, the chief executive position (held till death) is currently available to both races, currently it is a Fidus, Nyx. The judicial system is also available to both species now, the highest court currently has 7 fiduses and 4 disues.

So you're playing humans (Terrans), correct? Kind of overwhelming if you ask me, and a little on the overpowered side. Also, already having such a large and powerful empire kind of hinders the idea of this RP.

Most likely on an offsite forum so I can impliment the PlanetSim 3.0 Scripts into the PHP Coding of InvisionFree. Is offsite fine with you? If not, we could still do it on NS.

Alright then. Makes much more sense now. So, in essence, the other pacts will "not exist." How big of an empire do you plan on RPing?

The Shakal Empire is a nation of small population amd large wants. For its mere 4.5 Billion citizens on the Homeworld the Empire is a Holy Artifact in itself. Having existed for countless generations the Empire is revered as given power by the three great gods (http://www.sc2blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/archonconcept.jpg) War, Love, and Universe whose names are even lost in history. The Shakal Empire is as such ruled by three people, the Voice Of Chaos, the Voice Of Care, and the Voice Of Unity. The three people in these positions have fought for total control, often tearing the Empire into civil war.

Race:
The Shakal themselves are a people well used to war and violence. The last civil war between the Voices was completed only two years ago and the people remain distrustful of the new Voices after the previous ones were executed by the Council of The Gods for high treason. In an effort to unite the still weary people the new Voices have decided to construct a space navy and launch a campaign to seize more lands to focus attention on foreign enemies rather than those within.

Planet:
Roughly the same size as Earth only with more land the planet Homeworld has always ensured the Shakal remain safe from enemies. The atmosphere, while entirely hospitable to most races is very prone to ionic storms that tend to knock out non-adapted ship systems.

Other Information:

Ships are general and multi-purpose. Only two classes exist, capital ships, and fighters. As such there is no "Battlecruiser" that can smash a planet, but the Capital ships can deal and take more punishment than would otherwise be acceptable in any FT RP. If any of you recognize the Ori ship, thats basically the idea.

Accepted. I like the idea of a war-like race! I've only seen a few Stargate episodes, but I faintly have an idea of what an Ori ship is.

Race Name: The Daku
Home world: Daku Prime.
Number of Planets/Colonies: 67.
Race Pict None until I get around to drawing it.

Summery: A tall humanoid race standing about 6'7". Their appearance consists of a skinny, almost frail, body with long slender arms that connect to a series of 6 technicals which continue to grow as the Daku gets older, much like fingernails. Their skin is a pale white with no form of hair on their bodies.

Tech: The Daku people are devoted to science of every kind, which shows in every part of their lifestyle. Their bodies have been upgraded in almost every way, with new implants being issued out daily.

Government: Much likes its people, the Daku government rules on logical thinking and science alone. At the Birth of every Daku they are implanted and examined to determine which of the 5 job classes they will enroll in. Military science, Health Care, Biological Science, Architecture, and Diplomats. Which the leaders of each represent the government.

Weapons, Ships, and Armor.

Armor and Weapons - The Military implants for Daku warriors does many things, hardens the skin of the user, increase strength and resistance, employs a light shield system around the user, and basically draining them of personality. Weapons are again used as implants such as shoulder plasma launchers, and forearm beam blades.

Ships, Think of Daku ship as a huge implants that can attach and fuse with other ships. ( I got a writers block here, will fill it in later.)

In order for me to accept you, you'll need to fill out the correct form. Also please limit your "empire" to one planet starting out, so everybody else can start out on the same footing. Your army and ships are also a little overpowered.

Otherwise, it looks relatively good.
