That's fine. I can give you a bit of the land on the western fringe of the Ice Wastes. That and the "Tribal Lands otF" are "NPC-esque" territory, like some other things. But go ahead and make a factbook and I'll look it over.

Any other threads I can get the Tribes into? The Vth Crusade seems to have slowed to a snails pace...

This is more a networking thread then deep story. I expect others to put in idea's for what the creature is, I was originally going to make it a Kraken but thought it would be more interesting if we all pitched in and see what we came up with.

As ships in the Black Sea are being sunk by a unknown creature the Vetian Navy has to try and hunt it down. The navy is so small and underfunded that only one Dromon class ship can be spared to do the job, will this be enough to halt the threat or will all trade in the black sea ceased to function.

Again, I'm sorry for my lack of posts, for I simply need lots of time to come up with a good one, coupled with being in the right mood. As for your lizardmen race, Oblivion2, suffice to say, they'll make the Prazinians remind of the citations of the snake and of the dragon in the Bible as metaphors for evil.

it's a voluntary, subscription service, which i have on for a reason. one can set up exceptions, but it's a pain in the arse and generally results in it letting through stuff you Don't want.
most of the time it's actually pretty good about not blocking things that i need access too, or letting through stuff i don't want. every now and then we get minor things like this.


actually, the most likely reason is that someone posted something dubious in a part of imageshack that isn't sufficiently separated from where the map is, so it's jumping on it.

it doesn't blacklist entire domains unless they're Really, Really bad.

actually, from memory, it wasn't blocking imageshack before this morning, so far as I'm aware.

I'll take another look tomorrow. it could be due to an ad or something. if that's the case it'll block the page only when it's displaying that ad. heh.

If you were a bit closer and more isolated I would gladly send a War Host to attack your lands. However moving my war host that far South and surrounded by so many other people's i'd be setting my self up for not only getting isolated by being trapped.

You need to write a factbook for Thrashia to look over. Even if it's not finished, or you plan on changing it a bit (or in my case a lot) later, you still need something for him to look at and give a populace to.

Finished, I don't care where they landed or who attacked them, but I have a plan for what happened to the Master so don't rp that. Hey I am hoping other people will eventually join my rp. It is supposed to be on the fringes of Phenexia's territory I suppose and will travel through many places. The goal is to go on a bunch of adventures with an underlying quest that drives the chars.

My borders are pretty open, just take a look at the map I would say the Rp is south of Lorein. I wont start a war if you have a character to put in this one, dont worry about where you are since Angersmith is the only real port in the Black Sea so merchants have to stop there all the time which is why it's such a rich settlement.

The Slavian Republic is closed to the outside world and the only other powers are the Orcs and Goblins so Rping a nation stopping off is not that hard to believe.

I was hoping to do it near the goblin nation so that they could potentially travel through there.

Edit: I actually don't care where they landed.

My current thought is that he got arrested/ captured by some of the farmers that were concerned about the wrek. I just don't want to rp in your nation with your people doning something they wouldn't have actually done.

Dont worry, Lorein is near the Goblin border.

Should say we are South-West of Loreinm and I just mentioned there is another way into the Goblin Confederation in the post I just made.

If I remember the map (im at a place where there is a filter on photobucket) it should be fine for us to travel in any direction, there is a paved road system all around my Kingdom....but I dont know about my neighbours.

I going to leave your other group open to the elements, since we are on the Goblin border there is allot of danger. Vetian western border is under constant attack and raids, infact most of the western border in un-inhabited by any permanent settlement because of these attacks.

Only civilians living on the western border is the Dwarven miners.

the more i play with it in the thread incog and i have going, the more my magic system seems... horribly over powered for some stuff, and borderline non-functional on other things that any 'respectable' magic system should be able to do :S [fireballs, for example, just an't happening.]

heheh basically, my planned RP is since i basically dominate the straights that link the black sea to the rest of the worlds oceans, except for that tiny bit Silverfalll controls, Ima going to setup a tax for all non-dwarfven or non government approved vessels to pass through my water! hehe


and when i say dominate that straight, i do mean dominate patroling vessels, coastal forts and docks etc. the whole shebang.

Tell ya what Kewen, make that a bit more interesting, instead of just dominating the Black Sea Strait, dominate and put a tariff on the Inland Sea Passage just to your West.
Cos while my people wouldn't really care about a Black Sea tariff...they're not too bothered about anything in the Black Sea...trade to the Free Cities and other places up north is significant. I imagine it'll be a similar story for other nations on the Dolthiac Ocean.

negotitae a standard fee of 10 gold peices or 100 pership, or 300gp for a convo of 5 ships
etc... it can be workedo ut, or you could pay the standard flat one ship tax when i fiugre out a decent amount.

I'm sorry to inform this, but it seems that Fantasy simply isn't my thing in RPing. I just can't get the inspiration or the will to continue any of the RPs of mine in this thread. The only Fantasy RPs I managed to go far with were character-based, like freeform versions of tabletop RPGs, rather than nation-based.

So yes, I'm unfortunately resigning from this thread. Sorry for all the work that'll involve, but I just discovered that neither High Fantasy nor Past Tech are spheres I manage to keep up with. For nation-centric RPs, I really found my preferences in Modern Tech, WW1/WW2 Past Tech and "Hard Sci-fi" Future Tech.

Trust me at the moment I completely understand what your getting at.

I'm officially putting this RP into stasis. Most of us are currently too busy IRL to give any real credence to maintaining a strong rp, which while sad, is still a clear and evident reality. Therefore the rp, while not being permanently shut down, will be frozen in place. (that is, the main story arch currently happening in the major threads concerning the Age of Wreckoning thread)

If you wish to continue on with individuals on separate rps within the Eldire World, feel free to with my blessing. I will, time permitting, affirm any questions and/or future progress people make in their nations and in the development of their characters and make them permanent parts to the overall developmental history of Eldire.
