The Kingdom of Tristan Providence
History: The year 2045 of the Tristanian calendar was one of peril and bloodshed for the people under the Pine Banner. As the fall began to give way to the white blanket of winter, the last surviving people of the old Kingdom of Ara marched westward in search of a land where they could rebuild their shattered lives. To understand why these people have traveled from their homeland to a strange place that until now they knew nothing of, you would have to go back 5 years into the past.
It’s the year of flaming serpent in the land of Ara. The tall pines of the Ara Mountains swayed in the spring wind while peasants spread seeds over the tilled fields in the valley of promise. Lords and Ladies feasted in their halls of stone, while minstrels played songs of joy. All of these people oblivious to the coming danger that was before them. The old Kingdom was set on top of the most fertile land in all of the region, and some grew jealous of its wealth. In the east a bitter nomad, named Siobe began to gather all manner of poor and starving to him. Outside of the boarders of Providence, people were starving, and anger was stirring. This was a breading ground of hatred against the people in the fat and happy kingdom to the west. Through this, a mere nomad man would be able to raise an army, this mere nomad would be come the Wolf King of the Wastes. While the people of Providence feasted off of last years crop, the poor and homeless gathered together in arms. From far and wide people came, and day by day this mob grew stronger. The Wolf King planned his strike and prepared his men for a war.
The year 2041came, and the time was ripe for carnage. The peasants began their march on Providence. Sweeping through the country side, the Wolf and his horde killed and raped as they went. Some tried to resist but their were too many for too few to fight. As the body count rose, the Lords of the Land sat cowering in their castles praying to the Gods for protection. However, that protection would never come. As the horde drew closer, the rulers of providence began to lose hope and sanity. Yet, not all hope was lost. One lord -James Brice the Noble- rallied his people to defend their lands from the foreign invaders. With and army of 200 Knights and over 500 militia, Lord Brice met the Wolf King on the plains of splendor. Today, this splendor could not be seen, over 5,000 peasants faced off against Brice and his men that day. What ensued was nothing but a total loss to both sides. When a truce was called, over 4,000+ men had died on both sides. The Wolf King and Lord Brice met together amidst the carnage on the field under a small white tent. Over 2 days passed before they both emerged from said tent to announce that the Kingdom of Providence had been surrendered to the Wolf King and his followers, under one condition, Lord Brice would be allowed to take the surviving people of Providence to another land. With much morning and reluctance, 100,000 people, including the disgraced Lords that had cowered in their towers, marched into the unknown to find a new land.
As the year 2045 came, the people had been living a nomadic existence for 4 years. Yet no man or woman knew when it would end. Not even the newly crowned King of the Exiled Kingdom -King Brice- knew where they were headed. The only thing guiding them was a divine providence.
Finally, in January of 2046, the people’s dreams of a new home were answered. A group of scouts that had been sent out by the king had come back with news of a green land in the west. “Deer frolic in the pine woods, and fish swim in the streams, just like in the old country.” They said. With great pride they lead their people to this new land, and as a people, called it their own, The Kingdom of Providence. God had truly granted them Providence to this new land.
Today, the year 2095, the people of providence have rebuilt most of their old lives in this new land. Men and other races began to settle among the people of Providence and payed homage to the King. Farms began to be erected, castles laid down, towers built to watch the distant horizon, and most importantly young families grown in their own homes. These prosperous people have lived through much hardship, and they now teach their young of that hardship. Through those pains, they have become stronger in each other, they have become one nation, and a Providence has been laid over them.

Population: 5,000,000 Men (More came from other lands), 600,000 Other (Came from other lands and were welcomed by the people of Providence.)
Population growth rate: 0.176%
Politics: The Kingdom of Providence is ruled by one monarch. He is known as the King of Providence and rules in the capital city of Greyvale. The land is divided into Duchies. These Duchies are ruled by Dukes and they have the responsibility of maintaining order in their lands. The command of the armies is given to the king; however each Duke has his own army in which he defends his land. Royal Legions are also maintained outside of the power of the Dukes. Trade is regulated through taxes on imports and exports. Laws are made by decree and come from the King.
Economy: The Main resources of the Kingdom of Providence are salt, Iron, wheat, and fish.
Culture: Several Gods are worshiped throughout the kingdom; however the majority of the people worship the god Nuada, the god of the forest.
Society is comprised of a class system:
1% Royalty
5% Nobility
10% Higher Class
56% Commoners
28% Peasants

The Houses of Providence are those families of the ruling class. Each house is charged with the leadership of one of the Duchies. These houses also maintain their own armies to keep order in their Duchies and when called upon by the king to defend the realm. In each house there are Lords and Ladies, young and old. Apart from the rest of the houses, one house also is the ruling house, form which comes the King. This house holds great power in the land, thus creating a dynasty. However it can not rule a Duchy at the same time as the Kingdom. The following is a list of houses:
