This is a Idea for a Fantasy/PT RP with a Bit of Steampunk in it.

The Year is 1200 AC, The Land of Parvoria on the world of Kalbolia is in a rebirth of Civilzation after a very long Middle Age. Now entering a Modern Age, This Renissance Era world is a Era where Dragons are gone, The Old Races are disappearing and others are takeing over. Gunpowder and Steam Power have come to this world as magic is starting to decline.

New Lands are beng discovered across The Seas while from The Strange East, Barbarians have started invadeing Parvoria, rideing on the backs of Horses, these Hordes threaten All the nations of Parvoria.

Welome to Kalbolia, the world of Four Moons.

About Kalbolia.

If this was a FT RP, Kalbolia would be known by many FT RPers.

But Kalbolia is a Planet in The Gamma Qraudrant around The Star 47 Ursa Majoris. It has four Moons and is home to many races, even Humans.

In it's History Before The Comet (BC) Kalbolia was the greatest home of Magical Empires, the Last was the Holy Empire, which soon tried to Rule The whole of The Continent of Parvoria and ban Magic.

Then in The Year Zero, a Large Comet struck the Grand Ocean, sending up Bits of Ocean Floor and steam, blocking the sun for two years and throwing Kalbolia into a Mini Ice Age. But The Comet did more then start a Ice Age, Large Waves destroyed Canventice, the Capital of The Holy Empire and ended The Ancent Era and started a 1200 Year long Dark Age.

now in The Year 1200 AC, The Dark Age has ended and a Renissance has started.

The Lands

Parvoria

a Land of Forests, lakes and Mountains, Parvoria has changed since the days of the Holy Empire. Northern Barbarians in the Early Kalbolian Middle Ages have made new nations and relams of their own. The home of this Era of Rebirth of Classical Civilization with tales of Knighty Honor and Art. The Southern Coast has also moved up because of The Impact of the Comet. In the Great South Sea, The Crater Islands are home to small Villages and Tradeing Ports.

The Karrak Mountains near Central Parvoria are the highest on The Continent, with one Mountain, Mount Demon, being Volcanic. Great Clouds of Ash fall on the land near Mt. Demon.

Lake Tree-rain is in Central Parvoria and is known for Large fish and White sand Beaches.

The Dark Lands

These lands South of Parvoria are connected to The Eastern Continent by a Land Bridge and the only part of The Dark lands known is the Northern Part of this Continent. The Beings here are of a Religion never known in Kalbolia. While the Beings elsewhere worship many gods, The Religion of Ramandanism is for one God and Ramandan was the founder. In the name of Allah, Holy Wars have been fought and now The Ramans have many nations in The Northern Dark Lands and The Pandan.

The Northern Dark Lands are mainly Desert, The Great Northern Desert spans the Northern Dark Lands to The Pandan.

The Eastern Continent

From The Pandan to The Far East of this Strange and mysterious Continent, It is still a Center of Civilization. In the Pandan, Ramandanism rules and many Raman Scholors are well known for discovering new things about the world. Traders from The Pandan brought Gunpowder from The far East and invented Steam Power in this world.

But now The Threat of nomads have become real to all in this Eastern Continent as Tsardoms, Khanates and Nomadic Tribes are building Empires and now are on the Path to threaten Parvoria.

The Pandan is Arid with little Rain, as one goes deep into the Eastern Continent, one finds Steppes and Mountains. The Subcontinent of Pentoria is connected to The Eastern Continent by a Land Bridge and is full of Jungles and Plains. The Highest Mountains on Kalbolia are The Highlands, with Mount Sky being higher then any, over 30,000 Feet.

Incognita

Rumors from Sailors of Strange Lands found by Ships blown off Course have reached Parvoria. Tales of Cities of Gold, People wearing Jewels and The worship of Gods that calls for Ripping out the Still beating Hearts of Beings are told. This is the Supercontinent of Incignita.

Not Much is known about this Supercontinent, only that Large Forests, Jungles and Plains are known to be on this land.

The Races

Humans

Humans were once only found in the Northern Parts of Parvoria and The Eastern Continent till The Comet Struck. Now They are growing in numbers and takeing over Most lands. Humans can live almost anywhere and are the most sucessful of Races.

Elves

The Elves were the rulers of the Holy Empire. In the Years before the Comet, Emperor Raven XXII started a Holy War to conquer the world. At the Last battle, he was killed when The Comet Hit.

Now After 1200 Years, The Elves are in Decline. with The Age of Magic ending. the Elves are looking for new lands before they disapper from this world.

Dwarfs

Surviveing The Elven Holy War and The Comet, Dwarfs are now worldwide and like Humans, growing in Numbers. Expert Miners and metalsmiths, The Dwarfs work in the courts of many rulers, even becomeing rulers of many lands.

Gnomes

Inventers and Explorers, The Gnomes were one time Slaves to The Holy Empire, but now they live in The Woods of Parvoria. Hideing from many. Bt now how can they hide from a world where Steam Power is growing in use.

Yokai

These Demons from the Far East of The Eastern Continent appeared after The Comet struck. Civilzied and smart, they have built Grand Empires and Nations with Steam Powered machines and Knowage unknown in Medieval Parvoria. Now Silk and Spices are makeing Money for Yokai Traders and The east will Grow Richer

Catalonians

Catalonians were the first Beings in Kalbolia, Cat-like Humanoids. In the Days of The Holy Empire, The Catalonians were enslaved by The Elves. The males wer little more then work beasts, while The Females were Sex slaves.

When The Comet hit, The Catalonians were last seen heading ack to Their homeland of Catalonia. It is unknown where Catalonia is or if it is still around.

Tigarian

From The Pandan another cat-like Rce came. The Tigarians are Fallowers of Ramandanism and are very Warlike. Some say they are the Children of The Catalonian Sex Slaves that escaped The end of The Holy Empire. Liveing In the Northern part of The Dark Continent and The Pandan, they build Great cities and Mosques.

Incognitans

Reptilian Beings that Worship The Sun God, they only live in Incognita.

Remians

Human-like Beings with Tan Skin, They live in the Northern Parts of Incognita, even living with The Incognitans.

Raptors

Unlike on Earth, Dinosaurs still live in Kalbolia. The Raptors live all over This world and are as Smart as Humans, even living in Cities. Great Warriors and Schollors come from The Raptors.

Lupans

Anthropomorphic Wolves, They are Nomadic and ride Horses mainly. Live on The Eastern Continent.

Gobblins and Orcs

Living in Swamps and Dark Places in Parvoria. The Gobblins and Orcs have and still are a Threat in Parvoria. Deadly Archers and good Night Ambushers. When The Holy Empire fell, The two were on the warpath. But the Barbarian Invaders soon kept them in cheak. a Few Gobblins and Orcs escaped to The Northern Area of The Dark lands and soon were Converted to Ramandanism, those in Parvoria still keep their old ways.

Taurians

Centaurs, Foxtaurs, wolftaurs etc, The Taurians appeared along with Humans. Living in the woods, they live at peace with Nature...........well, almost all live in peace with Nature.

The Minotaurs are the most warlike of The Taurians. Head of a bull with The Upper Torso of a Human and two legs of a Bull, The Minotaurs love a good war and have a Code of Honor. their main God is Creteus, The Bull God and Creteia, The Cow Goddess. These two are part of the Taurian Parthaon also, The Foxtaurs Worship Kita, the Fix shaped Love Goddess, The Wolftaurs Worship Artemis, Godddess of The Hunt and of Maidens and the Centaurs worship Baucaus, The Wine God.

Leprechaun

The Leprechauns are the Wee Folk of The Emerald Isles. Wearing Green and heavy Drinkers they are at odds with the Faries of The Crimson Isles. They have Pots of Gold they keep.

Clurichaun

Always drunk and are Related to Leprechauns, they ride Dogs and Sheep and torment people who steal wine are misuse any Strong Drink.

Faries

They live in the Crimson Isles and the near by Azure Islands, with Butterfly wings, Female Faries are said to be the most lovely of Beings, cane be as Small as a Bug are grow to Human size.

Browines

They Live in Dirty places like coal piles and old Houses, they are everwhere in Kalbolia, they are thought of as Pests.

Ogres

Giant Beings who exploit, brutalize or devour their victims. These Monsters attack Human Towns and eat Humans.

Fauns

Humanoid people with Small Goat-like horns and Two Hairy legs with Coven Hoofs. they live in the forests in Parvoria and hide from others.

Ichthyocentaurs

Ichthyocentaurs are the aquatic version of centaurs. Physically, they resemble centaurs, except in place of the hind legs and tail of a horse is a great fish tail.

Merpeople

Humanoid Bengs that live in the Oceans of Kalbolia. The Upper body of a Human and The Tail of a Fish, The Females of this race are so lovely, they lure sailors to their deaths with their looks and their singing. They can also turn into a Monsterous Being that is totaly Fish like in all ways.

Martines

Humanoid beings with Fins coming out of The Top of The Head, where the ears should be and The elbos. They also have Ray like wings on their backs. Blue Skin and Black hair. They are also Known as Oceanians, Tyhians or by their own name, Atlantoi

Aveians

Human-llike beings that live on Mountains, they have wings on their backs that they use for flight.

Gingans

Gingans are Ape-men that live in The Eastern Continent, but unlike many Ape-men, they are Civilized and live in Cities. Known to use War Elephants and Triceratops in war.

Rakshasa

a Race of Demons that live in in the lands of The Gingans, they fight the Gingans in the wars for the control of their Subcontinent Land of Pentoria. (It is like India.). Rakshasas are notorious for disturbing sacrifices, desecrating graves, harassing priests, possessing human beings, and so on. Their fingernails are venomous, and they feed on human flesh and spoiled food. They are shapechangers, illusionists, and magicians.

Yorgaians

Crab like Beasts from the Deep, these Monsters can go onto land and raid Coastal Towns. At war with The Merpeople, they enslave The Merpeople they capture to work in undersea mines. They are worshipers of Sharks and Sea Serpents.

Religions

Religion in Kalbolia is not like that of Earth. In Parvoria and The Eastern Continent, The Beings Worships many Gods in many Partheons. While The Gods in most Cultures are Different, their is one God that is in ALL Cultures. in Ramandanism, He is The Devil. But everywhere else calls him by one name: Ramiel, God of Chaos, Death, Plauge, Evil and Darkness. He is in all Cultures. The Orcs and other Dark races Worship him as their only God.

In the lands of The Northern Area of The Dark Continent and The Pandan, The Religion that rules is Ramandanism. "Their is no God by Allah and Ramandan is his Messenger" is the cry of these Worshipers of one God. Jihads are fought in the name of God.

Wildlife and Plants

In Kalbolia, one beast you will not find will be Dragons. The Dragons died out around 1000 AC, because of The Cooler Weather after The Comet hit. The main reason was that they were also hunted down by dragonslayers, at the bidding of rulers who saw Dragons as a Threat, namely because They were the main war beast of The Elven Holy Empire. Rumors of Dragons in the Eastern Continent are told in Inns and Markets all over Parvoria.

The main Creature that now rules the sky is The Griffin Part bird, Part Lion, this Predator is the king of the Monsters and The Order Chimeria

Mammals are everywhere, from Small Mice to The Large Mammoths. many mammals are magical, like Unicorns, Manicores, Wargs, Chimeras, Winged Horses and others of te mammal types.

Reptiles also live, from Snakes, Hydras, Sea Serpents and Marine Reptiles, Pterosaurs and the Greatest Reptiles of them all........The Dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs are Warm-blooded Reptiles that are more close to birds then other Reptiles. The Dinosaurs and Birds are well known. The King of The Bird is The Roc, a Giant Bird of Prey that can carry a Elephant in it's claws and block out The sun when it passes over.

The King of The Dinosaurs is no other then the Greatest Dinosaur ever: Tyranosaurs Rex a Killer Meat-eater 50 feet long from Head to tail. This Monster is used by many militaries for a War-beast.

in the plant world, many plants are used for medical uses and for food. some plants like the mandrake and Wolfbane are Magical and used by Wizards and Witches.

The Technology

In this Renissance Era of Kalbolia, Technology is on the rise. Among the Technology of the Era is Gunpowder. Brought over from The Eastern Continent, Gunpowder changed warfare in Parvoria with Cannons, Hand Guns, Muskets, Rockets and other Gunpowder weapons. Wizards fear this new Invention as now, a Being with a Gun can kill a Wizard on the battlefield before he has a chance to cast a Spell.

New War Machines like The hand-powered tank, Gliders, War Wagons and others may be used by many, but Animals are still used, as the Horse rules all in mode of Transport.

Steam on the other hand is in total use in this world. Steamships have taken to the seas along side The old Galleys and Sail Ships that continue to ride the waves. Steampower is also used for many things, namely Mills also.

Weapons like Swords, Spears and others are also still in use. Skill in Swords mainly belong to the Humans, but Archery is a Elven, Orc, Gobblin, Lupan and Centaur skill.

Biography: Founded two hundred years after the Comet struck, this kingdom was very peaceful, and the people were generally of the farming community. A Royal Family and Government was established, with the Prime Minister controlling internal policy and the Monarch foreign policy.
The Kingdom is split into five parts; The Mainland, Emerald Islands, Royal Islands, Northern Resclonia and Kingsland. Each part has it's own Assembly which controls some of it's affairs.

Bio of nation: The Caranil from the Crimson Lands (or the Caran Dor in their native tongue) is a small collaboration of two lands, united by a common hatred of the Dwarven and Gnome folk and a leader, a relatively mysterious man named Ataldo. The two lands are The Serpent's Eye (Lyga-Hen) and the Dragon's Tooth (Lhûg-Neleg). They are not a warlike people, though they are extremely territorial and untrusting. In a battle, they will deploy a long line of heavy soldiers with pikes and halberds, with a thinner row of soldiers behind, cavalry on the flanks and a huge amount of vicious musketeers behind the swordsmen. They place a great amount of faith into the new Steam power, and much of their cities are testaments to this, great grey blocks with steam constantly pouring forth.

Nation: Khazen-Gula
Race/People's name: The Gula clan of the Dwarves
Land: Parvoria (up north)
Government: Oligarchy. When the Gula Khazen-Lord dies a new one is elected by the leaders of the seven houses of the Clan. Each houses is led by a Master. (e.g. the Master of the Kapir House of the Gula Clan) The seven houses of the Gula clan are: Kapir, Lusak, Liv, Kit, M'Kush, Mong, N'Dol.
Ruler: Gula Khazen-Lord Vrag M'Kush (Who won his election 5-2, but the two opposing Houses- the Kapir and the Mongu- are very powerful)
God: As a backlash against the oppression of the Holy Empire Vrags predecessor ordered that all religions, except the Dark religion of the Orcs, could be practised. With the growth of the Aig-Khazen (the surface settlement) this has seen the mixing of many religions. Most of the Dwarves retain their belief in the Earth-Father and the Sky-Mother, and their sons, after which each Clan names itself. Gula, the second eldest of these, is the principle god of the city's Dwarves.
Biography: Founded in ancient times this underground stronghold- like most of the great Dwarven cities- has never been taken. Even during the hight of the Elven power the city was free and housed many magicians and escaped slaves. After the Empire's decline the city was in an excellent position to take advantage of it great wealth, security and of a large amount of talented and intelligent people. Best of all, being an underground people, the Dwarves have had little adverse affects from the Dark Ages. An above ground settlement has been established recently though- inhabited by a selection of races- and has become a trade hub due to the proximity of raw materials (timber, iron, stone etc.), the Mrattan River and a large market of Dwarves. That Dwarves are, historically, a very business savvy people hasn't hurt either. The system known as 'banking' is being experimented with and trade is flourishing, providing the new Khazen-Lord with a healthy revenue to spend on public works and ensuring a well equipped army. A corps of civil servants runs a Dwarvishly efficient government.
The main worry for the dwarves is thier tensions with the Taurians and the remenents of the local Elven fiefs. There have also been increased raids by orcs- forcing Khazen-Gula to maintain a standing army. Internally tensions between magical leaders and the Guilds over the development of gunpowder technology is worrying. Will Dwarven Sorcerers are still powerful, the natural Dwarven eagerness for new technologies (ad the need for them) could well win the day. The recently elected Khazen-Lord Vrag has not made his views known.

Nation's Name: The Rankhan Horde
Races: Lupan, Yokai, Human, Gobblin and Dwarf
Land: The Eastern Continent into Eastern Parvoria and The northwest Pandan
Ruler: Tambanline II, Khan of Khans
History: The Rankhan are more of a Family Clan-Tribe ruled by one family; The Ran Family. For 400 Years the Rankhans wondered from place to place. Then aroun 1160 AC, a Yokai Khan known as Tambanline started on a War of Conquest, takeing over The Emirite of Rinshi, renameing the Capital City of Rinshi into Tartanikaban. From this Imperial Captial, The Rankhans built a Empire that now faces Parvoria.

Under Tambanline II, The Young Grandson of Tambanline I and son of Jafanline, The Rankhan Horde is on the Verge of invadeing Parvoria it self. With Heavy use of Gunpowder Artillery and Large War Mammoths and Tarbosaurus along with Calvary unlike any seen. The Rankhan now threaten many in their path.

Also the Rankhan Horde are more Warriors theh Traders, they tend to Invade then Trade.

And let's face it an army equipped with Dwarven made weapons, with Dwarves working on their cities and leaders wearing Dwarven made jewllery is one well-equipped, safe-based and snappily-led army. Never mind the economic benefits and being able to pay your forces. Plus you won't have to storm an underground fortress-city. (No offence, but I'd love to see you guys trying to fit dinosaurs and Mammoths in their. Heck the humans would probably have to spend their time ducked. And we'd be fighting back.)

The Rankhan mostly Keep their loot and they do not have a Economy that you know, thet do not have money, that Barter.

Also, they have their own ways to fight Dwarfs

Is this one still open? I was thinking of starting a Fantasy Nation and would love to jump in. My nation isn't ready, not by a long shot, but would it be cool if I could come in when it's done? I've got the idea down, but not the numbers and stats... here's what I have...

The Tribe of the Living Stone are a loosely connected tribal nation which lives in mountains. They carve their small villages into the rock fascade of the mountain and live and hunt in the nearby forests and lakes. Their land is always very misty and always seems somewhat over cast, due to magical concealment spells.

They worship spirits of the forest, mountain and waters, and rely entirely on their shamanistic, shadowy, tribal magic. Their magic is based around subtle effects, so fireballs and the like are not the fare of this art. Most of their magic is centered on misdirection of foes, the augmentation of one's body by infusing the forces of nature into the mundane human form, and directing the powers of the primal forces of nature.

Of their many magics, they also carve large stone idols and using a series of many rituals, breathe life into their behemoth protectors. These magical stone creatures are powered by the spirits of the primal wild and controlled by the magics of the Shamans of these people. However, they are not simply tools to be used and controlled, but creatures of their own drive and intelligence, with glimmers of individual will. The peoples and the Behemoths are symbiotes, the Behemoths depending on the powers of the Shamans to sustain their life and the tribes depending on these great creatures to provide the fear and dread necesary to keep wandering eyes from their lands.

They do not have as many people in their borders as other, more "conventional" nations and thusly do not have standing armies. Instead, they have only small village militias and they rely on their magics and communion with nature to let them survive and stay secret, stay hidden, stay safe. They persist because rumors of giant stone monsters that can crush men with their feet and tales of ghostly masked warriors emerging from the mist to hurl javelins and dissappear once more keep outsiders away from their hidden lands. Those who do not heed the tales wander into the mists, and the few who return bring more tales of horror and fright. It is this fear of the unknown that keeps the Tribe of the Living Stone alive.
