All new Cadets must arrive in civillian clothing and may take some personal items with them. Cadets who are accepted are to meet at the international airport in the nation capital, Drvar.

On completion of course, Cadets will be awarded a certifcate of completion and a special gift. Lieutenant Gorbachev jumped out of a military truck on the tarmac along with four guards of the 1st Airbourne Division. He stood there waiting for the new cadets to arrive as soldiers brought in documents and identification for the cadets. Gorbachev thought to himself.

"I wonder if this batch will last the course."

We are deeply sorry to inform you that we are full, however if the inactivity of other nations happens to arise we will be happy to open up a position for a member of your nation. We are particulary seeking those not trained in military before and would like a career in it's nation special forces. We see Örjan Hackzell as a talented and already well trained young citizen who would easily see a path in a military career. This school is open to those with less experience and knowledge on military training.

OOC:
Sorry Antigr, we should discuss another RP we could perhaps do together through TG.

(Maybe an OOC thread? Plus six is quite enough - any more, and the RP goes downhill, because you're relying on the posts of twelve people...which you can't guarantee. When the OOC thread is up, delete all OOC posts for the simple reason it confuses stuff and makes the thread unattractive.)

OOC: Agreed, i was gonna post here but i will wait? How your thread is established says alot about the Rp's organization. I like to read back through and have a steady flow of story, not OOC comments, Questions and gibberish :-P

OOC:

I second the call for an OOC thread. In fact I would suggest this become said repository in light of the fact it already has so much OOC content.

I also think six people is quite enough for now, but that's me.

Vaerin Ve'kahi stepped off of the 747 that had just landed at the Drvar International Airport. Dressed in urban combat fatigues, he was unarmed but for a long combat knife strapped to his chest. Looking around himself, he checked out the area, looking for the officer he was supposed to meet.

It was hard for Almadora not to feel excited as she stepped onto the ground in Drvar, capital of the country where she would be spending the next couple months. Like all Romandeosians, she had been through A.P.E. classes back in high school, and she was the perfect image of the ultimate desired result the mandatory programs were meant to produce. She was obviously fit, her body likely less than five pounds beyond her optimum weight if even that. She was lean, her muscles highly maintained. She had black hair, cut above the shoulders especially because of this training program, and bright, blue eyes. She wore no makeup.

Her clothes were purely civilian, as per the conditions. She wore a plain white blouse, basic, unmarked blue jeans, white sneakers, and a denim jacket.

Paul Leanus walked to the nearest window of the Drvar International Airport and looked at the ground, because this was the first time Paul had been on foreign soil. He was in a white t-shirt, with jungle fatigues and standard issue black boots. Paul saw his clean shaven head and scar, in his reflection, in the window, just as he heard the roar of a plane over his head. Paul of average male height and medium sized build, walked over to what he thought was fellow cadet who walked around pompously in his urban fatigues. Judging by the flag on his bag, Paul assumed that he was Steeliosian. Paul asked what is your name? The cadet replied Vaerin Ve'kahi.

Vaerin reached out a callused hand to the scarred man.
"And who're you?"

Lt. Gorbachev saw the cadets walking towards him introducing eachother, he signalled to his guards that they were arriving. They stood watching them approach. As they came up to him next to a Drvarskan Army truck, he introduced himself in english. Drvarskans spoke both Russian and English.

"Dobbrey Dyen comrades. My name is Ivan Gorbachev, I am your squad leader."

He noticed a man approaching in Urban military fatigues and had to comment.

"May I remind that the invitation was to arrive in civillian clothing but none the less we will be issueing you with a standard uniform which is compulsorary on campus. We will have to ask all of you to remove any weapons such as knives, brass knuckles or any other item of such description. They will be returned to you once the course is finished."

The four guards approached them introducing themselves, they were all trained and had been through the Uzbeka training for two years and some of them veterans of conflicts.

A small, craft, a rarity to most in these parts at one time, had come in to land at Drvar International Airport in the area constructed for craft of its type, albeit much larger and of a different era of Drvar history. This craft was from Alfegos, characterised by the form it took. Three hundred metres of aerofibre textile rippled in the light breeze as the various operating vehicles provided by the host country moved to resupply the craft now there, and allow the passengers to leave.

Normally, Sai'ki would not bother going to such a frivolity as booking a two-day flight aboard an airship, but she had decided to in this case. The room she had had aboard had been pleasant enough, and the onboard facilities excellent for her to prepare for her upcoming posting with the Uzbeka training school: a day of relaxation in the onboard bar, gazing out at the view and talking with a boy trying desperately to flirt with her, followed by a day mentally preparing herself, looking at the notes she had taken during her period of national service. Beyond marksmanship, drill and other basic knowledge, she had had to take notes from the unit she was attached to to learn anything more, being only a border patrol attachment in the desert areas of Neo'los.

And with hopes of getting into the aeromarines, she had been extremely lucky to get the elusive place here: it had literally been a name out of a couple hundred from a hat that had secured it. In a way, she had felt guilty that it had only been luck that had secured her a place, though that had changed to determination to prove herself.

She paced down the stairs that unfolded from the side of the airship, looking across the runway to where she was supposed to go. She had picked nondescript clothing, a dark green t-shirt and trousers, with a large bergan on her back holding her luggage. In the distance, she could see a group already congregating around a military figure and a group of guards, most likely the party sent to pick them up. Hoisting the bag up onto a good spot on her shoulder, she paced across the tarmac to the group.

Paul said to Vaerin "My Name is Paul Leanus I hail from The Southern Hexagon. Before anything else could be said the conversation was interrupted by Lt. Gorbachev. Paul had a slight smirk on his face when he saw the cadet from Steelios being reprimanded for his choice of clothing and the knife strapped to your chest. Paul than saluted what was to be his leader for the remainder of his time in this country. Than he shook hands with the Drvarskan guards as he was eying some of the lapels and awards on their breast. Paul was thinking when he gets home and applies to join the HIF, he hopes to someday have a dress uniform with the same honor.

Gorbachev saluted back to the man from Southern Hexagon, he saw his determination in his eyes and smiled. He then greeted the Alfegan who apprached and introduced himself.

"Welcome ally of Drvarska." he said smiling.

He knew to be as polite as possible for now because once on campus he will have to enter a strict military mode. He awaited for the last of the cadets to land.

Hearing the Steelian reply to the local officer, Almadora could not help but snort.

"To each his own, I suppose," she said. "Even so, I think it's obvious what the terms meant." At that, she gestured quietly down at what she was wearing. Then, she turned her attention to Lieutenant Gorbachev.

"Sir, my name is Almadora Lahti, representing the Imperial Federated States of Romandeos."

"Pleasure to meet you, I hope you do well in Uzbeka." he said with a polite bow. It was customary in civillian life for men to greet women with a slight bow throughout Drvarska.

"May I ask for everyone to board the truck as we are about to leave." he said and then ordered his guards in who snapped at attention.

After handing over his Black Bear, Vaerin boarded the truck, glaring at the high-and-mighty girl. He knew not to underestimate women, half the Steel Bears were. But stuck up people got right under his skin, male or female. He was the son of the Steel Commander, and as such he would rise above his anger at passing snobbery, and he would most certainly not allow himself to upset any relation with either his peers, or the country he was currently in. After a few moments, he could open his eyes, look around, and not even feel the desire to shoot someone anymore.

The Cadets were all boarded on the trucks and proceeded to the base and training facilities. They entered the Uzbeka campus through a large gate guarded by two well armed soldiers next to a large concrete wall with barbed wire. The truck was checked and it proceeded through the parade ground outside the main administration building. The cadets disembarked to find a squad of 24 soldiers march past in full combat gear, the had just arrived from a 15km march through the countryside. Lieutenant Gorbachev ordered the new cadets to form a new line and brief them.

"From now on, you shall address me as "sir" and nothing else. You will now take orders from me and if you disobey them, there will be punishment. You will now head to the supply depot to receive your uniforms and field equipment and then proceed to your living quarters. After that we shall meet back here for a briefing. Move out!"

The cadets were led to the supply depot and one by one they were measured for uniforms and equipment. Each of them received the following:

-1 Dress Uniform & Hat (Includes parade equipment)
-1 Combat Uniform (Camoflaged fatigues + 2 T-shirts and pairs of socks and underwear, combat boots and belt. Includes all necessary insignia such as flags of Drvarska and Cadet's home country.)
-1 Kevlar Helmet and 1 Green Beret
-1 Rifle & Pistol cleaning kit + Pistol Holster (no pistol)
-1 Physical Training Uniform (used for relaxing and training)
-Blankets and Bedsheets (pillow already in quarters)
-Webbing (including vest, armor plate, Canteens, ammo pouches etc.)
-Backpack
-AK-47 Bayonet and sheath

They were given information and instructions on how to use their uniforms by Uzbeka personnel. Afterwards, they proceeded to their living quarters where they were instructed to wear their combat uniform without webbing to the parade ground. The living quarters was a hut divided into two sections for men and women each section had the necessary shower and bathroom facilities (shower requires tokens which are granted to soldiers daily). Once finished and set up the cadets were taken to the parade ground escorted by personnel who explained the facilities around them including the medical office, armory, Vehicle depot and company HQs.

Lt. Gorbachev met them at the parade ground and now in drill mode he ordered everyone to form a line and to instruct them on drill and marching. After a few attempts, he was assured that they were ready. The Drvarskan flag fluttered on the pole behind him as it all grew silent before he spoke.

"We shall now go on a march around the campus to introduce you to what we have here and then we shall proceed to a navigations course. Are there any questions?"
