History
Before becoming the now large nation, Lionslicer was just a region of a large island of plains, forests, and some mountains inhabited by mostly Lions and Deer. For many of years the region was empty of humans until Settlers started to settle on the beaches and soon into the plains. The lions did not take well to the settlers and killed off many early ones. But over time, they became used to the settlers and realized there weren’t doing any harm.
Settlers came over to Lionslicer around the year 1900 by accident trying to escape the corrupt and/or failing governments of their past nations, including Germany, The United Kingdom, Cuba, The United States and many countries in the Middle East. Lionslicer was named by a butcher’s wife in 1930 after watching him slice so many lions for meat to sell in his business.
From 1900-1992 Lionslicer had a form of monarchy, it wasn’t organized, and only one person was in charge. People would vote for a family to become the monarchy family. When the whole family died off, quit, or was overthrown, the people would vote again for another family.
Because Lionslicer lies in the middle of the ocean, many ships from other countries stopped to trade goods, making Lionslicer one of the most valuable pit stops in the early 1900’s for ships sailing across the ocean.
It wasn’t until a teenage boy in 1996 came up with a constitution, laws, and a fair government system did Lionslicer have an organized government. For 92 years, Lionslicer had no government, but did have organizations that set up schools, courts, and law enforcement starting around 1940.
The government this teenager, Alfonso Anderson, came up with was similar to the United States Government which he had read about in school. He past his ideas through Lionslicer, many agreed and allowed the government to work. Soon after a congress was elected, and a President was elected. 10 year later, Alfonso Anderson ran for President, and won, being the President of the Democratic Republic of Lionslicer.

Government (Current Government founded: 1994)
(current)
Head of state: Alfonso Anderson
Head of government: Alfonso Anderson and Advisors Gen. Jack Robbins and Dr. Ricardo Sanchez
Government form: Democratic Republic
Lionslicer government is similar to the United States, but smaller, and simpler. There is a Congress, made of representatives from each City, Town, and Community. People vote for their representatives in Congress, but unlike the United States, civilians vote for a president, not for a representative to vote for the candidate they chose. Congress can overrule some Presidential decisions, and President can overrule Congress if he chooses to.
Executive (President and advisors).
The President is voted in by the citizens after they decided to vote out a president, or former president resigns. President must be over 21 and a high school graduate. A President picks 5 Heir Presidents to take over the government if he shall pass while in office, Congress votes in the one who they think is best suited. The president also picks a Vice President to attend the Cupboard to make decisions for him when he can’t make it. The president has control over the military, treaties, denying (vetoing) bills and law made by congress, and proposing acts, and proposals to help the economy, education, and so on. He handpicks 2 head advisors that may advise him on any decision or issue he faces. He also picks groups of advisors to help advise him and the Cupboard on decisions.
Congress
The Congress made representatives (350) that the citizens voted for 18+ and must be at least high school graduates. Congress has the power to vote and stop the president from making a decision they thought was unconstitutional. Congress can’t impeach a President, but they can let the public be aware of the President’s actions if thought to be immoral, and they will vote to keep or kick out President. Each member of congress usually is a member of a political party.
Congress also has a branch that handles the budget (where money goes) and a branch that prints the money, green cards, etc.
Cupboard
The Cupboard is members of the government handpicked by the president to control major divisions of the government. The Vice president takes the rule of moderator, and makes sure everything decided goes through the president if thought hurtful to the people and government. Heir Vice President is chosen and voted in by the 13 other Cupboard members. Heir Vice President Attends meetings when Vice President can’t, and is the Heir to the Vice President Position.
