One shot. That's all it took. One shot tore apart a nation.
The political situation in The People's Glorious Republic of the Chrisman Union (or PRCU) was terrible. Political parties were hiring mercenaries and building up militias, the economy had collapsed after a long and bloody war with Northern Chenko, and the army generals were grabbing more and more power in it's government.
The aging president Ulysses Garth, an old socialist governor, was giving one of his regular press conferences that his advisers insisted in giving to "Reassure" the people. He came up onto the podium like every time before, and started the every time before. "People of the Gl-" There was a bang, and the late president fell dead on live TV.
The roving political parties took the advantage. Gunfire erupted from all corners of the PRCU and hundreds of innocents were killed in unexpected shootouts that overtook cities. The capital city of Teronique was where the worst fighting was, with fire fights involving armoured Vehicles. This was the definition of Open War.
The already overstretched PRCU soldiers, leaderless and confused, were either recruited into the closest political group or slaughtered by the closest political group. There were a lucky few hundred who managed to make it to the country's lush forests, to wage a guerrilla war against the many gangs that had broken up the union.
Border patrols collapsed, receiving the same as treatment as the unfortunates in the rest of the country, and international forces with motives varying from peacekeeping to corporate domination. The powerful yet quiet country of the PRCU, had become one of the most dangerous places on Earth.

"Finally," said General Choi Song, a smile spreading across his face as newsfeeds played out the street fighting within PRCU, "The Imperialist scum have nose dived into the ground!"
Northern Chenko had been ravaged by siege warfare around the border city of Mijolan, and the conflict almost went nuclear. But while the Imperialist's nation had collapsed, his weathered the economic and social hit of the war. Now, they would take the fight to the Great Enemy.
It didn't take long to rally the NC soldiers. They were still on a war footing, still waiting mere miles from the imaginary line that was the NC-PRCU border. 30 T-62 tanks and 35 BMP-1 along 200 men crossed the border to act as a "peacekeeping" force. They would subsume the states of the Chrisman Union, and soon the ultimate revenge for the people killed in the conflict. They met little resistance crossing the border. Soon they would reach Teronique, the Imperialist's capital. After all, no sane terrorist group would attack a large tank column!

To Susan Watson and Alex Cambell,
Thank you for the offer of help, and you have permission to move forces into the former PRCU. But I will warn you now: the rebels aren't a single body, they are a number of powerful factions fighting within PRCU. And if they unite against your forces, god help you, because we were lucky to get out alive, and most of us didn't.
Of course we would love to be an ally to you. It's the least we can do to repay you for helping. Land your forces in St James National Park (it's where our small encampment is) at the attached coordinates. It's the safest LZ in PRCU, unless we get jumped by enemy forces.
Looking forward to serving with you guys
Lieutenant Christian Veldt, CO of PRCU forces.

"Welcome," said a slightly shaggy man in worn military fatigues, "Names Veldt, believe we've talked via telegram. Didn't half make a racket on arrival." Veldt waved the captain over to a makeshift map table inside an abandoned kiosk. "Here's the plan," said Veldt picking up a pen, "Rebel force movement is moving further into the park via..." he marked a number of arrows moving into a green area on the map "here, tightening the noose on our little encampment, and we have reinforcements in the form of the friendly guys from Vindetta, Neo-Erusea and some humanitarian supplies from Lionslicer, to make sure our lovely people don't starve. When the Vindettans and Eruseans come in we'll make a counter push out of St James, and hopefully secure this town...." Veldt marked a small town named Jolian "Here. Now, we shall show these Anarchists, eh?"

The Erusean Republican Guard and Air Force were quickly mobilizing troops and commandos ready to fly in and fight in the Chrisman Union. The civil war there was beleived to not have grown to a considerable extent, but the Foreign Intelligence Ministry had feared that many military units of the People's Glorious Republic have fragmented or fallen under the control of the warring factions. First units which would see combat, and nearing deployment were airborne battalions, to be flown in by Il-76 Candids and similar large aircraft. Airborne infantry would be deployed along with airborne tanks such as the BMD-4, and heavier vehicles such as T-90 battle tanks.
"All men!" began an officer, "check your weaponry and remember your training out there. You are the tip of the spear, the first to go into combat against the various enemies which have all been pitted against each other and the government of the Chrisman Union. More than likely, the landing zone will be hot and there will be no time to kiss the ground, remember that!"
The troops were all loading into the airplanes, sporting light armor and the helmets copied from the old East German Model 1956 steel helmet. They grabbed the parachutes and rifles, ammunition and everything else they needed, for they would be flying into war...
OOC: I'm going to the gym right now, sorry for the short post, I will be on later.

It was the dawn of the day when the helicopters arrived, 30 of them. About 15 atack helicopters, 10 supply helicopters filled with guns, ammunition, land-air missiles and food, finnaly 5 observation helicopters.
As soon as they landed a young man with sharp black eyes jumped from one of the helicopers, he lighted a cigarette and presented himself:
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/313/gceperfranciscociutatdeyy5.jpg
"Good day to you commander, I'm Colonel Francisco Ciutat de Miguel, I am the military aide to Chrisman and will be carrying out the operations needed here.
I brough weapons for some of your men, but will bring more as soon as this force gets bigger, well I'm sure the socialist government still has support in this country, but people should be ravaged by fear from these warlords and army traitors.
Our first objective is to secure this area to garantee the safety of a provisional government, them my men brought the equipment needed for we to comunicate with loyalists and organize the resistance.
Tanks and combat vehicles will be coming soon, when they arrive our objective must be to retake the capital, in order to stablish the symbolical power of the state. But meanwhile we can get our situation much better."
While Ciutat de Miguel talked with the commander the soldiers finnished to unpack most of the equipment, they set up a radar station and radio point. After they finnished the transport helicopters sought flight.
"I forgot to tell you, we have five destroyers in the coast, they will be able to bombard rebel positions and provide us supplies, they will also block the cost for eventual sea supplies for the rebels.
I have ordered them to bombard the rebels positions, in order to weaken them a bit, so we can stablish our position.
Well, let us clean the area now."
Ciutat de Miguel quickly organized a joint strike, the Mi-24 atack helicopters headed to the interior of the forest, they will atack the rebels camps and them will guard the transport helicopters, bringing commandos to capture the rebel camps in the park.

Meanwhile the other soldiers started to make a recognition of the loyalist position and organize patrols.

The NC column had made good progress and was soon penetrating deep into the Chrisman Union (OOC: well, you made no attempt to attack me). The 'Liberation' was going well. An Imperialist town was already under the Northern Chenko flag, and soon the rest of the former PRCU would work under this banner. Victory would be his in a matter of days.
Though, when the column was passing though another of the former country's forests, a large number of helicopters and other military craft were circling around. They certainly weren't PRCU: there was a DSAS, Neo-Erusea, and a Vindetta force as well as probably the Imperialist's camp. By the carelessness of their allies, the expeditionary force had found the Great Enemy's camp. The Multinational task force was a force that would have to be dealt with, collateral damage one could call it.
Song quickly began to organize the attack force. It would be the best strategy to knock out all of the loyal forces in a single knockout blow. "Send message home to mobilize the 3rd Artillery and the CPAF [Chenkovian People's Air Force], and move up small squads of men with the odd BMP to eliminate enemy patrols. Move!"
around 30 men with 4 BMP-1s moved into the dense forest. A squad of 10 spotted a small Vindettan (OOC: you don't mind me using some of your forces, do you? I just want some fighting) patrol. Armour was not with them, but they had the element of surprise. "Sir, we have Vindettan contacts," radioed the leader of the squad back to Choi, "Should we engage."
"Slaughter them," replied Choi, "make sure none of them make it back."

Thanks,
You better be quick on your landing mind, the noose is tightening. Patrols have been engaged by organized military forces that resemble that of Chenkovian Army. And I'm pretty certain that only very organized criminals and military forces have MBTs.
Be ready for intense guerrilla warfare. See you there.

The loud noise of the engines of the Il-76 increased in its pitch as the pilots fired up the turbofans on their aircraft. Most planes were fully loaded, with their payloads of airborne soldiers and tanks waiting in the cargo. The Il-76 planes rolled down the taxiway one by one, slowly taking the turns on the intricate airport where they were stationed.
"This is Vaige 1," began a Candid pilot, "requesting runway clearance on R15."
"Vaige 1," replied the control tower," permission granted, you are cleared to take off runway 015."
"Roger that," replied the pilot, "commencing take off procedures."
The pilots of the Il-76 Candid "Grey 1" flipped some switches and pressed some buttons in the cabin, and then the pilot pushed forward on the throttle. The large aircraft began to roll slowly down the runway, but then picked up speed rapidly. The pilots could hear some radio chatter with other planes and the tower, and the sound of their landing gear against the runway. The pilot began to pull back on the yoke, and the aircraft gently rose into the air, with the sound of the landing gear immediately ceasing as the plane lifted into the skies. The co-pilot took the liberty of rectracting the landing gear, and the pilot declared on the radio, "Vaige 1 airborne!"
Shortly afterwards there was a "Vaige 2 airborne," and "Vaige 3 airborne," and so on until a Vaige Twenty Four declared that they have left the ground. The aircraft closed their formation and were joined by two squadrons of Su-35 Flankers and X-02 Wyvern (http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wiki/X-02) fighters. Inside the cargo planes, the soldiers were all preparing for their drops, and the vehicles inside were made ready. Other airplanes in the country would take off and land in runways captured by the shock troops and deploy main battle tanks and other fighting vehicles.
In Comberth Harbor, the Erusean Navy was beginning preparations to ship off other military units to the Chrisman Union, and provide relief for government forces.

The Captain smiled with Veldt, as she showed her the plans. Her Darland Defence Industries Rifle 16 (DDIR-16) was hanging on her slim, strong back, with her Darland Defence Industries Pistol 16 (DDIP-16) pistol tucked safely in her belt, along with five frag and smoke grenades.
"Good plan. I suggest that youre forces could launch a ground assaukt on the rebels, while we could parachute around the centre of the town and destroy them from the inside." suggested Captain Susan Walker.

As the patrol helicopters were flying over the farest regions of the park a blast was quickly heard, before the patrol squad could notice they were under atack by the tanks of the rebels, although they immediately withdraw 3 helicopters were lost.
When the notice reached the camp Colonel Ciutat de Miguel sent the atack helicopters to engage the tanks, the 15 helicopters could easily defeat the BPM tanks. After the combat was over the helicopters bombarded the rebel colum and deployed commandos to capture the surviving soldiers, that were taken prisioner to the camp.
Ciutat de Miguel ordered the patrol helicopter, the combat helicopters and the foot soldiers to go trough the whole national park in order to clean the region from rebels, although there were some confrontations the whole area was cleaned.
After this, the Colonel ordered radio transmissions to all the region to call the loyalists to gather in the park. At the same time he ordered the destroyers to fire torpedoes in the military bases of the rebels in the region, to avoid them to respond quickly.
