On behalf of His Majesty King of the Kingston Islands Ronald II dated this sixth day of October, two thousand and eight Anno Domini Nostri Iesu Christ:
Greetings,
The United Kingdom of the Kingston Islands has, until very recently, been engaged in an isolationist doctrine befitting our relatively small size and location, lost in the great seas of this planet. However, as time has progressed, new islands have fallen under our jurisdiction and it has become increasingly apparent that we are to attain a greater influence in this world. Thus, King Ronald II and the Royal Parliament of the Kingston Islands have issued this declaration to the nations of the world that we fully intend to begin exerting our influence and expanding our international relations.
For those unaware of our existence, the United Kingdom of the Kingston Islands was created over decades of loose colonisation, not by any single nation or ethnicity but by small groups of people seeking to create a new life on these lush islands. Each new group of people renounced their former national identities and strived to create a new nation from the sand and vegetation prevalent on our national shores. Our history progressed slowly and eventually, every major island in our small archipelago was colonized, but each as its own entity. War and strife followed this expansion until the entire chain was united under a single banner, that of the Kingdom of Kingston Island, now the United Kingdom of the Kingston Islands.
We are now a fully fledged constitutional monarchy, with an emphasis on the people and the individual liberties that they are entrusted upon their birth. Hence, our steadfast belief in our national motto: Libertas Inaestimabilis Res Est. In addition, our entire culture gravitates around our maritime roots, and we fully believe in the liberty, freedom of will, and natural splendor of the deep blue ocean in which we credit our birth. To this end, we are dedicated to its protection and its conservation, and we maintain a sizeable and efficient Royal Navy to do this.
We look forward to the burgeoning foreign relations this communiqué represents, and fully wish that we may encounter and befriend nations of similar creation and fortitude as our own.
In my own hand,
-Signed-
