Howarin Republic

TO: Nations of the World.
FROM: Presidency Office of the Howarin Republic.
SUBJECT: Greetings from the Howarin Republic.

Nations of the World,
The Howarin Republic is a small, peaceful nation. We are a democratic republic and our people are well known for their friendliness to each other and foreigners.
We have decided to come out of isolation and greet the international community with open arms. We have great supplies of food thanks to our farmers' work ethic. We wish to establish embassies in nations across the world, to have diplomatic relations with all democratic nations, to trade our food with nations in exchange for something of theirs, thus forming 'free trade'.
We are firm believers in democracy but we are strictly neutral unless something or someone threatens our nation or our allies, in which case we will defend bravely.
I believe I should inform the nations of the world about our nation, politics, history, culture and media, so as to establish true trust with us.

The Howarin Republic was founded in 1800 after the Howarin Revolution against the Monarchy, who dictated the nation badly. The citizens built a good, stable nation with a trusted government and a rising economy. The first president, Bonrai Elgarbin, brought prosperity to the nation through encouraging free trade and trust in each other.

The culture is that of respecting each other and welcoming all people of any colour, creed or background and being friendly. Having trust in each other and free trade are respected, and the nation is well known for it's welcoming and charming citizens.

The politics of the nation is excessively democratic; the President and Prime Minister positions are open to all people, and all 'Head of Department' ministers are chosen by the populace, with all minor positions being choosen by the Department Head.

The media is extremely open and honest, and the Howarin Broadcasting Company (HBC) is regarded as one of the best television networks 'known to man'.

We hope that all nations have trust in us and we hope to establish good, clean diplomatic and trade relations.

Yours in Friendship,
President Banacorne Jerlango.
