Deep inside Federation space a historic event was about to take place. The Battle Station Belladonna, was expecting vistors. Human Visiters. These Humans were from a nation known as the United Fleets, and today they would be forging an alliance with the United Federation of Oblivion.

All Traffic to and From the Station had been stopped in antisipation of the event. They were expecting a Diplomatic Cruiser of Unknown size to dock with or send a transport to the Battle station.

Hangar Bay 12
A squad of Oblivionates stood on guard, accompaning the squad was a single Pao-Tan Ambassador who would escort the United Fleet Abmassadors to the Council Chambers.

"Where are they?" Asked a young Oblivionate Corpral.

"Corporal, stow it, this is not a time to be whining about diplomats, our security as a Civilisation is at risk here ok?" Said a angry Sergeant.

"I'm just sayin..."

The Sleek Vessel approached the station. It was white and silver, and had entered the system with a will of procedeing. As the ship came up to the station, the full size of the ship was unvealed. It was a quite over the size of the Aeon, which was a rather large ship at a mile long. This ship was at least two miles long, but did not look like a ship made for war if you looked directly upon it from a window of some sort. It had few or no weaponry, but it still showed the fact that The United Fleets made ships of large size standard. This was unknown to the other races of the sectors, to support a complex system of reactors and the advanced shielding systems emplaced over all ships of the Pact. Though Warships were better at it.

A shuttle exited one of the ships hangers, and made its way to hanger bay 12.

10 Humans, 9 who were Marines, and a man wearing a Black cap with a silver shark like clasp on the front, and a black and red great coat strode out of the ramp of the shuttle. Entering to the welcome. The Marines fanned out along the entrance of the shuttle, this time faces visable, helmets off for this occasion. The man who was the Ambassador from Rhine had a scar over one eye, and could have been a Military officer at one time.

Dispite his grizzled look, he wasn't a cigar smokeing ex general. He smiled at the Oblivionates and Pao-Tan and said "I am Willaim Gaweir of Sarris. Ambassador of Fleet Pact Rhine. At your service."

The man certainly made a entrance.

The Pao-tan bowed low and said "Welcome Willaim Gaweir, to Antares Battle station!" What was odd about how he said it was that he said it in English, instaed of in Pao-tanese.

"The Council welcomes you to Antares, they will be meeting with you within the hour, thankfully it will take about that long to get there. Follow me."

He beckoned the Oblivionates and the Ambassador forward. They walked all around the battle station, showing the ambassadors anything of importance.

"This here is our mobile Infantry Training area, here we train the finest soldiers in the federation. The Mobile Infantry are basiclly huge armored gorilla's who carry the federation's latest weapns and tech, the operate in squads of five and can often pacifiy a planet with the presense of three squads. Most applicatants are Shang-Ti with a Minority of Pao-Tans, Oblivionates cannot use the armor due to there unique nervous system, the suits interface cannot connect with the Oblivionate Spinal cord. On with the tour then."

The Pao-Tan ambassador, showed there guests the main hall, which wasn't unlike the Main hall on the UFV Ticonderoga, save that it was bigger and it had actual animal life.

"Here is the council Chamber! She is very grand is she not. Well this is where I must leave you. We ask that you only bring one guard in with you and you leave the rest with you."

As The Pao-Tan said that noises could be heard eminating from the door. Gears grinded and the doors shruddered open.

"Good Luck."

The Marines Saluted and stood with arms crossed behind their backs, fanned out. William Gaweir entered the Council Chamber alone...

As he cleared the door way, he looked about, the room quieting. As the door closed again, William looked around, almost in a daring way, like he shouldn't be here among them, but he was, the first alien to appear in this Federations council. "Are you all going to stare at me, or shall we begin?" His voice carried easily across the chamber.

"Welcome to Antares Willaim Gaweir! What message do you bring to us from the United Fleets?" Boomed a Shang-Ti councilmen.

William scanned the crowd. In a equally booming voice, he stated evenly "We bring you...PEACE!" He let that hang in the air for a few moments. And then stood before them. "People of the Federation! You have entered into the grand voyage of expansion and trade, and your journey across this universe has only just begun! But there will be things blocking your path to greatness! Under authority of the High Master of Arms, and the Senate, I propose an alliance. To trade, to peace, to war, to talk, I propose we work together in forgeing our path in the universe. For Rhine I say, in defense of the weak, and in health of the poor, I say we forge an ALLIANCE."

William did not stop to clear his throat, but got to the very point of the meeting. Taking the initiative, he pushed on. "For the good of the Republic, and for the good of the Federation, I say we show the might of this union. This sector of space needs a strong arm to lead it into a bright future! Every race deserves to aspire to its true potential, and I say we work to make that happen! But there are those out there who would stop us in our path to peace. But what say you children of Oblivion?! Will you join us?!"

William stopped. His speech done, he scanned the crowd, expecting an uproar, he settled his eyes on the Shang-Ti that responded to him. A glint in Williams eyes showed his good intentions, and his face stood unwavering.

A Shang-Ti, mighty and proud, stepped forward, this particular Shang-Ti bore the marks of many past conflicts. One could tell just by a quick glance that it was he who held the council in silence. He raised a mighty fist and pounded his chest and boomed. "We the Children of the Great planet of Oblivion say..." He paused for a moment to add to the suspense. "AYE! Together we shall forge an alliance that none have seen before! We shall defend the Helpless and strike at the wicked! All the the galaxy will look on in awe, at the wonder that is the Pact of Nations!"

William nodded as cheers were dragged out of everyone in the room. He caught the Shang-Ti's eyes. "For The Fleet Pact of United Worlds, and The Federation of Oblivion!"

And that was the day the Pact of Nations was born.

"Come, let us arrange our trade, and war agreements in private, I am Chu'taka, Head councilman of the Federation, if you will come with me to my guest chambers."
The United Fleets

Ducking under swirveing arms as the council began to turn away to talk about recent events, William followed the Shang-Ti out of the room. "Yes, let us make leave to a less crowded place. But let me send a message back with one of my men." William stopped in front of the row of Marines. "You are dismissed. Turn in your rifles at the dropship...and then you may look around." Sullen looks turned into bright eyes as young privates rushed off with their squad. William stopped one sergeant and whispered into his ear so no one else but Chu'taka could hear. "Send back confirmation. The allaince has been met with a land slide. Tell the Captain I'll be back on board in a few hours. Will have to arrange a series of meetings quite possibly."

As the Sergeant wrote this down in his head, making sure he forgot not a word, William glanced at Chu'taka. "Chu'taka" Said William in very clear translation, with out a little metal box. "Tell of no one out side of your chambers the proposals. I want to get most of this done with out being harried by eager councilers or officers. No doubt everyone is excited about the turn of events, but there is always work to be done as I'm sure you well know."

A sly smirk crossed Williams face. "Have you ever...been in a Military conflict against anything other then bugs?"
Oblivion2
07-10-2008, 06:56
Chu'taka grinned at the human and patted him on the back in a gentle manner (well as gentle as a Shang-ti gets) and said, "Of course, we fight more than bugs! You see these scars? I got these from a attack on a Oblivion Supremisit Colony, in the Antares asteriod belt. They called it the black war, the federation was almost torn in half by it. The Oblivionates are excellent fighters, they never quit, they never route, and when they retreat, they will almost certainly have a few surprises waiting for you."

Back in the main Hall the Pao-Tan ambassador approached one of the United fleet marines. He could tell that is one was a lower rank, due to his pheremone levels, he said in english "Hello there, I heard that you are allowed to explore the station. I was wondering if you wanted a guide?"

John Iridan, now a Corporal, looked at the Pao-Tan. He sized up the Ambassador. "Why not?" A few other Marines came up and shrugged, obviously undecided in what they wanted to do. The other Marines sped off, gazeing in mild wonder, but otherwise still seeming like the battle hardend Marines the entire squad was.

John looked at his Sergeant, who came past them in a man on a mission-like manner. He entered the dropship, heading right for the Comm Console. He looked back at the Ambassador. "What would be your name?" The Marines kepted pace as John set off with the Pao-Tan.

In the Private Chambers of Chu'taka, William indulged himself with a seat, instead of standing. Taking out a tube like object and two plasti-glasses, he beckoned the Shang-Ti over. "Normally I choose not to indulge, but a good drink everyonce in a while helps." William poured the two glasses a very strong drink. The smell could be could be described as bold. The taste could be described as wrapping a gold brick with a lemon, and hitting your brain with it.

Downing the drink in a shot like fashion, William imediately grimmaced. "Perhaps...you shouldn't do it in the same fashion." He cleared his head and then said. "Now...what I was thinking was trade routes from your main system, once word gets out that the Alliance has been made. But for now, were expecting some routes from you Raw Material systems. Mostly a metals, stuff that we can refine into a tough hull for ships, but also use for general construction. We could also talk general goods, as a little culture is always nice. We can set up embassys once deplomacy really starts to kick off. Other wise, standard affair."

William drank again and went on. "Depending on what you need, the Fleet Pact can provide it as a whole if Rhine doesn't have it. We also have some general tech that you could make use of. Personal shields, not fully perfected, have been made, but Rhine Marines have never had a large quantity of them. Perhaps if you found a way to mass produce them, The Fleet Pact could handle production. As of now, our leading minds are far to busy to work on its designs. Other then that, I'm sure we could talk about a more effective power source for your ships."

William drank once again, his face twisting slightly in a comical fashion. "As for war agreements, will have to factor it for now. I'm sure you want to talk about the recent events with your leading Council before you launch into any campaigns, but you can expect the standard defence arrangements, aswell as joint force cooperation if a battle is near. What did you have in mind? This is after all not a venture to intrude on unwanted territorys, but to see what you needed out of this alliance."

The Pao-Tan bowed down low, as was a customary greeting in his species and said, "My name is Tucktaniuk, However you may just call me Tuck. What is it you would like to see soldier?"

Private Chambers of Chu'taka

Chu'taka took the drink and took a shot, he gave a quick grunt and supressed a burp, he chuckled and then said, "Trade is what we need, and we might have a solution to your shielding problem, you see our mining system, Hermia, is rich, with rare energy crystals, that could have the traits to power a ship board shield generator, we have tested the crystals on individual soldiers and it seems to work. They do have limitations however, while they last forever they can only hold a shield for certain amounts of time, and if they are under fire they will fall, thankfully they recharge quickly. To encourage trade my people will build a world gate network connecting Hermia, to a system of your choosing, and another world gate connecting Antares to a system for your choosing. Yes, our ships could use a better power source, it is too expensive to use the regular power crystals for a fuel source so currently we are looking into fusion technologies for our power sources."

Chu'taka took a quick pause and called in a service droid, he barked an order in his language, and a small morsel was brought forward on a tray, on that tray were samples of meat, fruits, and vegitables, and even cheese from the Federation culture. He handed a piece of meat to William, and said, "try it, it is from the goz Beast of Antares, quite the morsel."

Trying the meat, William put away his flask. "We have a rather effective vault system, for multiple needs. Its like putting a series of armoured and hazard control boxes into the center and back of your ships. One is for the safety of computers, archives, and records, as well as important materials, like weapons or artifacts. The other is to store our Plasma Reactors, which power the entire ship, with energy to spare in the laboratorys on ship. Our problem with shielding is energy control. We can hold a shield, only to well. But its dangerous on a living human, as we cant compact the energy into a screen, or a pulse. Our ships shields are plasma powered, with composites that absorb kinetic energy, such as explosions. Its good to repel a large number of differant attacks. But of course we have yet to find a right power source for our personal system. But perhaps if we had a tamer energy source...perhaps we should open a trade agreement for those crystals as well. You provide us with the source, and we provide a effective shielding system, one that doesn't just 'get by'. One that can repel most enemy fire, and turn a single squad into a extremely effective unit. We could also incorporate this system into small craft, Fighters, and Bombers."

William stood up and paced, chewing on more meat. He swallowed and said "You needed a ship power source right? Then will work on getting an effective 'Heart of Gold' Reactor system with vaults incorporated into your ships. No charge for this of course. Will run some tests with some of your Tech Devicers, or something of that kind, and then try to make your navy into an effective fighting and tradeing force. Perhaps we could also discuss exploreing the nearby systems, and establish tradeing outposts for a better route?"

John thought for a moment. "How about some of your arts and culture?"

OOC: Heh. I know. I had to.
Oblivion2

"Well our Shielding system is working in our mobile infantry units, as their armor is powered by a fusion pack. But we have not found a way to keep the shield even for space combat, nor can we find a small power source for individual units. We would be glad to trade you the crystals, we have too many as it were. Your power system, "Heart of gold" sounds quite convincing, our scientist will collaborate with your's on the project, as well as future projects, such as our upcoming super soldier project. As for colonizing systems, the federation is always in need of new land, as having three species puts a strain on land consumption, we will agree to aid you in colonization, as long as the federation is granted an outpost or planet in the system. You will be granted outposts in our systems for trade and military."

The Councilman took a quick bite of his fruit, a sip of his drink, and continued.

"As far as culture goes, it is quite complicated. My species, the Shang-Ti are the relegious people of the Federation, we belive in one god, we just call him god, and his son, Hezues is our prophet. The Oblivionates call him ella, and hte Pao-Tan call him good as well. Shang-ti are herbivorus, so we are concious about the environment. The Oblivionates are great students of philosphy, and could quote any famous philospher in the Federation, they are carnivores, and like us, are very concious about the enviroment. The pao-tan combine both of our beliefs and are omnivorus. We enjoy music, each differing between species, we all speak different languages, however we divised a language called federation common, s the three species could easily communicate with one another. We belive that every citizen is born equal, and any racist remarks can result in either arrest, or a duel of honor. Cross breeding is illegal as it has had dangerous results in the past. And Lastly, if a citizen is part of a colonization, he and his family for the rest of time will have claim to the land of their choosing, however this only applies to the origanal colonists and not any citizens who move between colonies. I belive that is all for culture really, we don't have any gestures that mean anything in our society, so no need to worry, however, do not howl and bare your teeth in front of an Oblivionate Male, as they will take it as you wish to replace them as head of thier family."

William gave a slight nod. "Yes, we shall send a Lord Devicer to a secure location to meet with your own...Scientists." William checked a device on his ear that sparked and buzzed. "We understand that the rest will take time, but a Military Alliance, and Trade Agreement would do for now until we can make final the rest. As for now perhaps..." There was more noise coming from the device. "Pirates!" The station rumbled as the shields reflected a blast. William stood abruptly, the chair tipping over. "Alert your soldiers, boarding partys will try to disrupt areas in your stations sheilds and board." The station rumbled again.

"The commander aboard my vessel will keep my ship locked down, but not before sending some Marines to aide you in repeling the party. Do you have any fighters? We have some, but not enough." More buzzing. "The commander said they were cloaking themselves in energy disruptions. They must have trailed my ship."

~~~
The station shook slightly, rocking John and his squad. Immediately, their faceplates came back down as they got into combat stances. More Marines came by, those who were with the Sergeant. "Whats going on?!"
John looked back at the Pao-tan. "You need to get to safety."
~~~

The Deplomatic Vessel sent out a flotilla of Dropships to enter the station. Each was larger then the small shuttle that had been sent at first. Loaded with Marines. Squadrons of fighters streaked past the station, engageing black and green colored ships. They were bigger then bombers or fighters, loaded with several weapons that blazed fire at the Station and fighters, or took potshots at the Deplomatic ship.

When the call came out that pirates were attacking the station, Chu'taka chuckled to himself, then collapsed into a fit of laughter, "BAHAHAHAHAHA, Unbeliveable! Pirates attacking my station! Some people have no idea who they are dealing with! William, let the Federation deal with this... Trust me, you won't regret it."

The Counciler pressed a button on his desk, the button activated a loud speaker, he cleared his throat and in a loud booming voice said, "All hands, organize into squads, report to your squad leaders, and prepare to repel borders, all officer activate your holo projectors, it's time for a battle plan."

He looked at the ambassador with a smug grin, and said, "I'll escort you to your ship in a moment, theres weapons in that closet over there take your pick." He turned his attention to his holo projector and said, "Men, we have a rat problem, I think it's time to flush them out, first of all I want all observation windows airlocked, I won't have a stray shot kill any of my men, second, activate the AI network, so our boys have intel to work with, next I want to know what the size of their force is."

A Intel officer said, "Well, the enemy force is about 800 men strong, their fleet for the most part is holding just outside the system, the are running older vessels so they have most of their men in their ships, to keep everything running, we estimate if they emptied their transports they would have up to 20,000 troopers. They have captured the main hangar, and the observation deck!"

"Have we locked down all the vessels in the hangar?"

"Yes sir, all is secure, they can't steal anything."

Chu'taka breathed a quick sigh of releif, then quickly composed himself and said, "Ok, we must assume that these pirates are here to steal the battle-moon or the plans for one. We must defend the control room of this station, and the council chambers, if we lose either section, they will acquire the plans for the battle-moon, we must also prevent them from getting to the power generators on the bottom of the station. Now how many men do I have to make a counter attack?"

A Pao-Tan said, "We have 3 companies of infantry, one platoon of Mobile Infantry, and 5 commando squads."

Chu'taka smiled and said, "Perfect, Ok organize the companies, one company is to head to the observation deck, and push the enemy back, another will hold them off at the control room, and the third will hold the generators, we will send the mobile infantry to deal with the hangar, because if it's zero gee in there, the MI can fight better than any other infantry, however, I want the MI only to be armed with energy weapons and light lasers, no explosives, I don't want a hole in my station. As for the commandos I want them to plant explosives on enemy dropships, that attached to the station, that are'nt in the hangar. In the mean time, we will scramble the fleet from antares and attempt to engage their fleet, namely their small craft, the rest of their fleet is still outside weapons range."

An Oblivionate the asked, "Sir, how will we defend the council chambers?"

Chu'taka just smiled and said, "Leave that part to me..."

All accross the station, soldiers were arming up and activating their AI's. As they activated their A.I's, the soldiers Eyes would momentarily flash purple, as the AI Consciousness flooded into their neural Implants. An AI was responsible for communications, hacking, keeping track of allies and enimeys, and keeping track of any injuries it's host takes. An AI is basicly another mind that thinks, talks, and aids a soldier. AI's cannot live outside of a computer or a soldier's neural implants, so taking care of said soldier was generally in there best interest.

Corporal Kig'yar

Company: Alpha
AI: Galileo

"Form up into squads! We are moving to take back the observation deck!" Yelled an Oblivionate Sergant,

The AI in Kig-Yar's brain said in a cool voice We are to take point, that means we get first picking on the pirate bastards

Kig-yar laughed to himself and replied Just the way we like it...
Kig-yar and his squad moved quickly, keeping voice chatter to a minimum, they let their AI's do the communicating. As they moved closer and closer to the observation deck, Kig-Yar smelt a certain stench in the air, a stench of death and squalor, he shruddered at the thought of the pirates the stench belonged to. The AI said Just relax, and activated a calming injection, through the Pao-Tans armor. When Kig-yar's squad arrived at the observation deck, he noticed that the pirates had not yet dug in or even taken cover, he chuckled and said to his AI Give the order to throw flashbangs. In an instant 12 flash bangs sailed through the air and blinded the pirates, Kig-Yar's and two other squads began firing at the stunned pirates with laser weapons, in a calculated 12 seconds the other squads would appear on both the pirates flanks and begin attacking them.

Captain Boon Yama

Mobile Infantry
AI: Sparticus

Boon Yama, hopped into his giant suit of armor. He felt unstoppable in it, much like a tank, versus 1000's of hapless pistol wielding infantry. The moment the suit sealed, it interfaced with his nervous system. In a manner of speaking, the giant suit was an extension of his own body, the suits AI, Sparticus Greeted him, Greetings Boon Yama, ready for another exciting mission? Boon Yama Repiled, As Eager as a young male is to his first mating, what are the parameters for this one?

As he asked all the information was displayed on his HUD, seemed pretty simple, clear the hangar of pirates, only using melee weapons, and basic lasers, Boon Yama was a little discouraged at the prospect of not being able to use his bigger guns but he shrugged, the sight of seeing a pirate cleaved in two by a giant energy blade, was still fun.

He gave commands for his platoon to move out. They were jettisoned from the station, and in zero gee they would make their way to the hanger and attack the enemy from the place they thought an attack would least likely come at from.

Council Chambers

His Orders being carried out, Chu'taka donned is war armor, and grabbed a smallish hand blaster, and his energy hammer, he looked at william and said, "I suggest you rally your marines and find a weapon, they are going to be here soon, and the council guard has to get the other council members to safety before they can reinforce us..."

The Pirates, surpriseing the Federation troops, countered instantly. "For Mad Larks!" The Pirates were armoured in green and black armour, spikes extending from shoulder and knee plates, and wielding cutlass like weapons that were wreathed in energy that extended to touch the flesh that the blade was cutting through. In the the other hand, crude looking single shots boomed, sending small metal spikes at enemys. They charged the enemy soon after fireing. "For Mad Larks!"

~~~
The Marine Dropships, alotted access to the station by the A.I in control of the Hanger doors, sped in, screened by squadrons of fighters, which were forced to break away and deal with attacking squadrons of Pirate Corsairs and Pillagers.
Forming up in tight squares of fifty, the four companys of Marines marched under Red and Black Banners, all stopping in front of a Oblivionate who looked like he was in charge. A Captain in what looked like hulking armour, which had a helmet far differant then the standard issue, a Breathing apparatus in place of a mouth and two small red visored eyes that inspired fear in enemys and valour in men under his command. The Armour made him at least seven of his real six feet. "I am Captain Thule. Lead us to the dogs! For Rhine!"
"For Rhine!" Came the men standing to order in the hanger behind him.
~~~

Fighters skirmished with Pirate ships outside the station, leading the enemy fighters into the range of the stations anti smallcraft weapons. The Deplomatic Vessel had already jumped, shrouded from the fight in the shifting of space, sent far away from the battle. Minutes later, two Alliance Battleships entered the system, engageing the enemy fleet...

The Federation Soldiers faltered for a quick moment, however the AI's in all of their neural implants modified their battle plans, and reccomended the deployment of their instant cover devices. Using their automatic weapons and better armor, the federation soldiers quickly pushed back the Pirate attackers, sometimes closing into melee combat, if a pirate got too close.

Kig'yar and his soldiers were especially effective in pushing back the enemy pirates, as he had heavy gunners in his squad, which destroyed the pirates and their single shot weapons. Once the enemy was driven far enough back the order was given to lob sonic stun grenades. The Moment those grenades detonated, the heavy gunners opened fire, and soldiers with heavier armor closed in to fight the pirates with their energy weapons. Kig'yar was one of those soldiers who moved in to fight with his energy sword. He took down enemy after enemy, without stopping to pause.

While all the fighting in the observation deck was happening the Commando's were using their stealth gear to sneak up behind the pirate mass. When they got with in range they decloaked and started attacking the pirates from behind. This caused panic in the pirate mass, but also immesnse heroism, as the pirates would scream, "For Mad Larx!" As they futilely attempted to fight off the better trained and equipped federation forces.

Back in the hangar, the Mobile Infantry had made it inside, and were killing the pirates who remained to guard their transport ships, once the hangar was cleared of enemies, the mobile infantry soldiers placed charges on the transports, and blew them up one by one, to prevent any pirates from escaping, then they opened the hangar doors to allow there own fighters to leave and attack the pirate fleet just outside the system. As well as to let United Fleets Dropships into the station.

OOC: The Soldiers of mine that are in the hangar, are mobile Infantry, which look like 12 foot steel gorillias, as such you can't tell if it's an oblivionate or not.

Captain Boon Yama, the soldier who let the marines in said, "Welcome Captain Thule, I am Captain Boon Yama of the Mobile Infantry, currently the hangar is clear but, I fear they will attempt to flee back here to escape, which as you can see, can't happen, our job is to cover the enterance for the hangar and if nessicary assist the fight in the Observation deck. Take three of my MI Troopers and head for the Observation deck, they could use the help, by the way, not a bad suit of armor, I would be curious to see how well it held up to mine."
The United Fleets

The Captain waved on two companys to spit up into squads and go in force to engage the enemy, directed by the Mobile Infantry acompanying them. Thule nodded to the other Captain. "Mobile Command Battlesuit. Their rare, and made of the same stuff one of our Battlecruisers or other vessels are made of. It can absorb explosions and refract them into enemys during Melee combat, and can hold up to energy weapons just fine. Its certainly strong enough to take a pounding from any heavy weapons those Pirates, or for that matter, anyone might have. Were almost able to switch the Production of Standard combat armour from Plasta Metal to the special composition." This was all common information, everything besides what made up the 'special composition' of the United Fleets ships. That was one of their dearest secrets, and only a Devicer Lord knows. No computer was trusted to hold that information.

Thule turned back to the other captain. "I shall take my men into battle. Let us send these whelps running, pellmill!" The Captain thundered off after his men, a large Plasma Cannon over one shoulder, and a Repeater Cannon attached to the suits other arm. Both turned to low. If they hit anything but the target intended, they would become far less powerful, and make it nearly impossible to cut through the hull of the station. The Cannon, one could assume, was to deal with Pirate transports, and less savory machines they might bring along..."

~~~
In the Observation deck, the Pirates, ragged and almost broken now, laughed and screamed mirth as the fourteen foot tall machines thundered through their gap, put up and unfolded from their transportation, the large gapeing maw where the air clamp ripped through the stations hull. Chain Cannons thundered as huge shells smashed into the Mobile Infantrys armour. More Pirates charged out of the transports, prepared to close the gap and use their weapons to good use. They were more tenacious then ever, even near death, as their ragged formation turned into a large charge, spaced out unevenly to avoid being destroyed by a flotilla of gernades.
OOC: It was a general referance to either of the three races of Oblivion. I suppose you should give me the term I could use to refer to any of the three races to avoid such confusion.
OOC: ok well PAO-Tan look like frog-men, so you could call them whatever fits the description, Shang-Ti are yeti gorilla-men, and Oblivionates are lizard dudes that I have as my avatar. To make it easier i'll put names and pictures in my sig soon, anyway, back to the rp.
IC:
The Pirate Machines pushed back the forces in the observation deck, fortunatly, the mobile Infantry, along with the UF Marines, were on their way up to the observation deck.
Kig'yar ordered his men to fall back, and lob ion grenades as they did, to throw off the machines, the commandos then sprinted in to a few machines that did not have pirates surronding them, and planted a few charges on them. They activated their stealth gear, moved to a safe distance, then detonated the charges.
The Mobile Infantry finally made it up to the observation deck, and when they did, they unleashed hell. They fired laser weapons, ballistic weapons, and the occasional pod missle at the enemy machines. Then with covering fire, a few mobile Infantry moved up and engaged thier energy swords, and cut the enemy into tiny pieces, and if an infantry got in the way they were smashed off to the side, like an insignificant bug. The Damage the MI took from the machines was quite minimal, because of thier agility, and Class five starship hull. It was also coated to displace any energy and use it to charge the energy weapons on board the mech.
In Space
The Antares Fleet was mobilized, a force of 25 Dreadnaughts, 38 Destroyers, 3 carrier ships, 102 Frigates, and 42 Battleships, were moving in to engage the pirate fleet. The Federation fleet was also supplemented by the local battlemoon, which would make short work of the pirates, with it's long range mac cannons, and it's ship destroying missle array.
When the Antares fleet got within firing distance, they unleashed a powerful MAC cannon volley, followed by missles and then lasers, after which thousands of fighters and bombers engaged the pirate fleet.
The Banehammer and the Downfall were both Dirge Class Battleships, fourteen kilometres long, bristleing with firepower. Their main guns thundered, destroying several smaller pirate ships in each of their blasts. Arrays of Cannons shot out waves of plasma, ripping holes in enemy hull and outright destroying most ships in the sheer amount of fire being put out by each ship alone.
Heavy fighters and bombers attacked enemy ships, landing strikes with Ion bombs, pulse charges, and using their Plasma Cannons, much smaller versions, on enemy ships, all of them repeaters that covered ships in plasma, destroying the Pirate hulks in waves of attacks.
This is the Admiral-Minor Alexander, to the Federation forces, we are here to provide Heavy fire support. You may now repel this scum. If Admiral Montuk happens to be among you, send him my best. Alexander out.
This is Admiral Montuk of UFV Ticonderoga, Thank you for the support, and good luck on the battle field, recommend you send boarding craft, I want the leader of this assualt alive, my fighters will provide cover for your transports, Montuk out.
Aboard UFV Ticonderoga.
Admiral Montuk sat upon his command seat, and said to his crew, "Number one take us in for the kill, I want all the vessels surronding the enemy Flagship, destroyed, incapaciated, or engaged by the time our and our allies transports are within firing range of their anti small craft. Number two, I want shields ahead full and ready an Oblivion Battering ram, set it to Ion mode, I want that flagship to have no means of escape, Number three, ready the immortals for combat."
Inside the Ticonderoga's cargo hold sat five figures, in black armor. All of them were slightly above man-sized, they were Immortals, the Federation's super-soldiers, a genetic mix of all the Federation's races, they were the ultimate warriors the federation had to offer, strong, determined, intelligent, and armed to the teeth. Admiral Montuk asked for this squad specifically, due to their uncanny ability to get the job done, no matter how difficult, they were Delta Squad.
On the speakers they heard, "Immortal Squad report to your transport, your mission begins now."
The Federation fleet had now moved in, the enemy vessels were now heavily engaged in combat. From the Ticonderoga was launched the Oblivion Battering ram, which smashed into the bulkhead of the Pirate flagship and detonated in a flash of turqouis light. The resulting flash was from an ion discharge which was working its way through the Pirate vessel and frying every system on the ship save life support.
The Immortals Transport was launched along with it were several other transports who would cover for the immortals, and if they survived would sabotage or steal other pirate ships in order to win the battle, hopefully the UF would send their own transports as well.
A flotilla of pods, surrounded in a disrupting field sped out of the bottom of the Downfall. Once they had exited the vessel, the transmission fields that surrounded them had half sped them on to the enemy flag ship, and several more to other ships of interest. The outter shell disrupted sheilds, and the core was like a ram that jammed its self into a craft, then extended and clamped, closeing the hole in the ship. The inner-core then released, and opened, allowing troops...or anything else, to exit to wreak havoc inside enemy ships.
The three pods, landing a deck below the other, began to release its lock and open the Inner-Core. Outstepped slowly the eight foot tall form of the Battlesuit. The Warhawk V29 was a prototype battle suit, armed with a Chainlancer, Plasma morters, and a Flamer. Each was supported with 10 Marines, armed with Light Plasma Cannons, Repeaters, and Carbines.
They set off, fireing rounds at surprised pirates, some armed, some not.
The Immortals Transport Crashed through the enemy flagship's hangar, almost immediatly, the immortals were out of the transport and blasting, and hacking at anything that didn't look like a shiny Federation or Shiny UF Soldier. Once the Hangar was clear, the two transports of commandos entered, and all three squads moved through different routes, to either the officers mess hall, the bridge, or the captains quarters, in an attempt to find the enemy leader.
