Recently, a group of 1500+ Buddhist and Muslim nomads of various races known as the Tribe of ZenSalaam peacefully requested to become a part of the Community. They had been ejected from several warring Asian, African, and Middle Eastern nations. A council of native citizens was put together, and several nomad members put forth their council of elders. An agreement was made and the nomads were accepted.
However, there were a few issues involving accommodating such a large group. Being nomads, they had their own tents and equipment, and began to set up a temporary tent city on the outskirts of town. Unfortunately, a large dust storm set in and blew much of these tents away into the sea. There were no casualties, but there are many people now homeless.
Also, there is the problem of food. Food distribution is underway, and the ZenSalaams brought enough food to last them several weeks. However, the dust storm has taken much of these rations and rendered much of the rest inedible.
The ZenSalaams traditionally craft their tents from hemp or cotton canvas and bamboo. If neither of these are available, modern tents will be accepted gladly. The group is mostly vegetarian, eating some fish, so parcels of grain, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, and dried fish would also greatly be appreciated.
We require material for at least 300 tents, and 3 tons of above mentioned food.
The people of The Free Land of ZapataZulu and the ZenSalaams thank the nations of the world for any material donation they can make.
