Spartura is a rather mountainous, forested country. They follow their majority religion to an extreme, almost fanatical extent. They worship the cross and the endorse Catholicism as their primary religion. If anybody worships a different religion they are considered heretics and are apprehended in secret and either ‘taught’ the benefits of Catholicism or ‘move out of the country’ without another word to any family members or friends, leaving their belongings behind. The government doesn’t acknowledge the apprehending force which serves as a force of the Inquisition.
If one were to visit one would see a nation that survived it’s medieval years solely because of their environment when it came to larger armies. They would simply pick away at soldiers in battles and let the humid weather and the ‘wet heat’ caused by the sun to slowly eat away at the survivors. They had been formed in the year of 1156 A.D by the Holy Roman empire but as it faded away, Spartura kept it’s existence intact and advanced in whatever ways possible, taking in technological advancements wherever available and developing their own when the opportunity became available.
Soon they prospered and became a small but still well-armed force.
Now they simply had to make diplomatic contact with the rest of the world.
OOC: Yes, this is your’s truly: Ursava. I just decided to make a second nation and use it because I’ve always wanted to control a theocracy but couldn’t think of a way to have Ursava turn in to one so; yeah.
