Well, I had an idea for a game with maybe 8 nations that were in the colonial times. The New World would be a major part of it, however mother Europe and Asia would also be pretty big. This would be around 1600, right before the Mayflower set sail in the real world. All ideas, speculation, and death threats are welcome.

I like colonial threads. A map and the right to claim a bit of land all for me! I'm in if you can keep the idea alive.

Yes, you get your own colonies. If anyone can get a blank map of NA and SA, I'll color it in for people. Also, you get 1 or 2 European/Asian nations and a colony in the west(NA and SA)

Don't know if it's too early to claim, but I'd be interested in France and Britain as my "homeland" with small colonies in Quebec and Virginia.

I'd like Great Britain as a "homeland" as well, and a large settlement in Florida. For the crown and all that. Erm...eh what? : P

I'm very interested. I'd take Germany (Or the rough 1600's equivalent) and Denmark as my homeland, with colonies in the New York area and Cuba to start.

I'd probably go with Independent Greece(it's AH) and Pennsylvania as my colony.

I'm looking forward to a combination of Finland and Sweden with a colony in Massachusetts.

would this be connected to our NS nations, or a separate World-like RP? Either way I'm interested.

Sounds good, I'd take Japan as my homeland, and my colony would be in the current areas of California.

For one thing, I say hostilitys between the Spanish and British to be opening, and rocky ground between Britain and France. Oh, and make sure Russia doesn't have a Communist movement 200-300 years before it existed...sometimes things just don't need to be THAT complicated for the sake of the RP.

Anything other then AH would be against the rules, so, yeah.

Nothing really complicated about that question. Besides the fact we would need to alter stats according to our Nation States if were just using the geography, though we'd just have to round it down by an agreed amount.

Can't we just do the latter?

I say weapons, ships, and supplies take a set time limit to build also depending on how much your ordering. For example, if your making something for your colony, or ordering food, it would be imported from your homeland via trade if it was a large number of said item.

1. I'm currently limiting it to realistic. If I said one state or something per person, someone with Texas is so much larger then someone who ends up with Rhode Island.

4. Depends, if I say 1 day = 1 month, certain events, like alliance-making, would take almost 100x longer. If I make it lower, wars will be too slow.

5. Populations raise depending on the conditions and the base population. Developing new things would take how ever long it does, I'd say maybe a few months per ship. Or you could just not RP it being made and just RP it being launched.

6. Close, however, you could be another nation as long as it's not in RL.

You can be your NS nation or another nation you made up.

Well, I think I'll have a homeland that speaks english, is in the general area of Northern Europe, and of course a rather large militia force for my large settlement. Since I'm only starting with one, and I'd rather focus on my colony, I wont be much of a problem Super Power Nation-wise.

Alright. I'm going to have to say having Austria and Portugal would be logistically impossible, so only Austria (unless you want Portugal).

Depending on what Joukaai says I'll have either Portugal or Italy, in case Italy is taken then I'll have Greece. :]

For my colony I'll take Colombia, and Ecuador (If possible). I do hope this runs off smoothly.

That is true. But I'd suggest that you bypass Austria and stick with Portugal and the Balkans.

But I though we wernt doing State claims, becuase some states are bigger then others. I just one settlement there. Besides, orriginally I posted New York, but changed it to Florida becuase I thought it would make more sense. I don't want to dispute any land claims, but maybe we could settle somehow?

Alright, to update everyone. We are doing New World claims by general areas. If you say Rhode Island, you would get all of Rhode Island, however, if you say New York, you only get some of it. Here is the state that is fully taken:

How about Norway and the Canadian regions of Quebec, Halifax and St. Johns? Call them Vineland and write a bit about how the Norwegians returned and claimed the the area a second time running, but with a lot more success.

I'd like to apologize for the delay on getting a map up. This week my work schedule has been slightly alterd and I am having to work later so NS is being pushed to the back burner.

I assure you I haven't forgot about the map or anything, progress is just temporarily slower than expected. I will for sure have a map up by this weekend.
