Blurb:

The Dactyl class was designed as an all out warship. She is built neither for Comfort Or for Price, but instead for Stealth, and to pack a wallop. Over 400 Vertical launch Cells are located around the ship, as are numerous CIWS systems and 4 155 mm (6.1") calibre guns. The Dactyl is designed to be fully capable of solo operations, and features connectivity that allows her to work in concert with other vessels to form a defensive net, and excellent feature for carrier groups, Aid convoys, or VIP transport.

Weaponry:

440x Vertical Launch Cells.

Standard size launch cells capable of firing a huge verity of Anti-Ship, Anti-Air or Cruise Missiles. The Cells are mounted at the front, center, Rear and Sides of the Vessel.

6x 12 Tube Interior Mounted R-RIM-116/SeaRam

A Modified RIM-116/SeaRam System Mounted Into the hull of the ship to lessen radar returns. The Interior mounting means the Tubes can be reloaded During Combat, Unlike Regular RIM-116 Systems.

2x Phalanx CIWS

Standard Phalanx Guns, Mounted on the center Deck. Notable difference is the lack of the trademark sensor dome, which has been incorperated directly into the ships hull and radar system.

4x 155 mm (6.1") calibre guns SGS

A Relatively new design, and derived from the Advance Gun System, the Stealth Gun System is capable of being stored while not in use. The weapon uses GNAS ( Guided Naval Artillery Shell System ) In naval terms the Weapons are accurate to 35 Metres at 50 Nautical Miles and are accurate to 100 metres at the Maximum range of 100 Nautical Miles. It can also deliver its ordinance to the same accuracy against land based targets, and with a firing rate to 7 RPM, the ship can be as effective as a whole batter of 105mm Howitzers.

10x 4 Tube Cruise Missile Launchers

Ordered along the side of the Gun-Deck, these launchers are designed to fire the missile at a low altitude from the go, reducing the likleyhood the ship or missile will be spotted in the process of firing. As with the SGS the launchers can be folded into the hull to reduce radar signature.

Stealth Technology:

Made from a PVC core with a carbon fibre and vinyl laminate over a standard hull, the hull is sloped to deflect incoming radar waves. The SGS guns can be folded for further reduction to cross section. Of course it would be nigh-impossible to construct a ship of this size and armourment and have it Fully invisible, and the Dactyl will presesnt a small radar signal to more advanced or nearby radar sources, however it has proven to be far harder to get an accurate target lock on the Dactyl class in field trials with a number of Anti-Ship Missiles. The hull Does Not lose any effectiveness at armour protection.

Other:

Variable Depth Sonar
G604 TRS ( Tactical Radar Surveillance )
R-191 RFC ( Radar Fire Control )
MASS Decoy system
GEWS-10110 Electronic Warfare Suite

NBC Certified.

We are interested in acquiring 20 of these magnificent frigates. We loved your manticores and we hope the Dactyl will be just as good. Could you put standard ice breaking equipment on the ships since they will be used in the arctic region?

Re: Pricing Error

Customers

It is with no small measure of humility I am messaging you. I regret to inform you you have been over-charged quite significantly. Indeed the listed price was 10.9Bn Dollars, when it was intended as only 6.9Bn Dollars. Both of you will be reimbursed imminently plus 5% Discount. We apologise for this inconvenience and hope it will not damage future patronage. The error was caused due to a simple typing error by an intern at Genii Naval Industries.

Yours,

Rodger Casement, CEO, Genii Naval Industries

Re: Pricing Error

It a most unfortunate fact of life that errors sometimes occur. We are wiling to forgive you for your mistake, and we trust that the individual responsible for it has been punished appropriately. Rest assured that this incident will not dissuade Rammsteinburg from engaging in further business with Genii Naval Industries.

In light of this price reduction, we wish to place an order for 10 more Dactyl class frigates.

OOC: Just as a tip, "vertical launch system" is an extremely vague term. There's a big difference between, for example, a P-500 launcher and a Mk-41 VLS, and the two terms aren't exactly interchangeable. As a final little thing, if the helicopter doesn't have a hangar, it will be a massive radar blip on an otherwise stealthy vessel.

Otherwise, nice work.

We thank you for your support, and for your purchase. On reciept of the full payment ( 69Bn Dollars ) 10 shipyards will be allocated to construction of your vessels. Build time is expected as no more than 18 months. Once again our thanks.

OOC: Ty Leistung, ill try and clear up the VLS when i get the storefront done. It's essentially my own design whereby instead of each tube being loaded individually, the VLS comes in Stacks of 2x2, 16x16, 32x8 and so on. This means it can be changed around alot to fit different missions and can be loaded faster in port. Anyway there will be a full discription soonish.
Also, the ship only has a pad, not an actual helicopter to go on it. Its really just there so it can operate as a productive member of a fleet, ferrying personnel, however in the course of typing this I have been thinking of turning the whole landing deck into a lift to a under deck hanger. Hmmmm
