OOC: Basically, I want a place to sell my weapons, but I do not wish to add another one to the collection of storefronts. Therefore, I am looking for someone who is willing to sell my items on their storefront.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION
of the
UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF BURTILANA

Dear Storefront Owner,

I am Dr Marcus Lovewright, Head Researcher of the Burtilana Defensive and Offensive Technology Program (BDOTP). I write to you in hope of a contract.
The Burtilanian Socialist Party's Finance Minister, Francine King, and the Foreign Minister, Harvey Wells, have given BDOTP permission, after long discussions, to arrange contracts with reputable storefronts. These contracts will allow us to sell our products through them, of course thisis mutually beneficial.
We would gain profits with which Burtilana can spend how it sees fit, and we can start to become known as an expoter of military hardware. Benefits for you include more products on offer, and more profits.
Please respond to this letter in writing, and I hope to start organising meetings soon. Thank You

Head of Research, BDOTP

OOC: I (Lamoni) might be willing to sell your items in my storefront (LAIX Arms), but it would help for the terms of your contract competition if your designs were put into more of an actual sales thread instead of just using the Draftroom discussion thread. Oh, and for the PDW, remove the word NATO from the round type. It just needs to be done. Best way to get a hold of me ATM is to TG me.

The PDW 1-08 is a Personal Defence Weapon of Burtilanian design, it development started back in the old regime, in 2004, it was put on hold immediatly after the coup, but the program was restarted again after 6 months. This is the result of 4 years development. Based heavily on the MP5, due to it's success.
It fires a 9mm Parabellum round.
It was designed to be small and light weight. So it could be carried by designed as a compact but powerful firearm for vehicle drivers, operators of crew-served weapons, support personnel, special operators and anti-terrorist units, guards and police. Though heavier than even the heaviest pistol, it is still relatively light, because of its titanium and steel alloy body, and steel components.
Since the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge is relatively “weak”, the bolt does not have an anti-bounce device, but instead the bolt carrier contains tungsten granules that prevent the bolt from bouncing back after impacting the barrel extension. The weapon has a fluted chamber that enhances extraction by bleeding gas backwards to loosen the spent cartridge from the chamber walls (the bolt is opened under relatively high barrel pressure). A spring extractor is installed inside the bolt mechanism, while the lever-type ejector is located inside the trigger housing (activated by the movement of the recoiling bolt).
These two factors mean that it is light enough to be used with one hand with minimal recoil. For use like this, set the gun to eithe burst or single, and preferebly take off the scope, making it slightly lighter. Though using it with both hands is still the best way to use it.
The simple fire selector has four modes: 'S' the gun is in safe mode, '1' for single round fire, 'B' for burst fire, 'A' for fully automactic fire.
For extra safety, there is another dedicated safety switch on the opposite side of the gun, which cannot be accessed with the trigger hand. This should be left on until you know you may encounter enemy targets. With this still set to 'Safe' the gun will not fire, even with the other selector in 'A' '1' or 'B' modes. This helps to prevent the fire selector from accidently being changed.

Inside the front grip is a LED flashlight capable of projecting upto 60 ft. and below the barrel is a laser sight.
The laser sight is green, and pulsates. Green is the easiest colour seen by the human eye, it pulsates because our eyes are much more sensitive to flashing light than continuous or steady-on light. Due to the technology involved they are best suited to lower recoil weapons (like this) at temperatures of 40F-100F (4.4C - 37.8C)
The whole top part (the lighter grey component) is the scope, made of stregthened polycarbonate, this is interchangable with other scopes, for different purposes, but this is a pretty all-round one. Equipped with an unmagnified reflex sight, which enables quick target acquisition up to 150 m and operation in low-level lighting conditions thanks to a tritium-illuminated aiming reticle. When it is taken off back-up iron sights are left as back up. Though it looks inviting, DO NOT lift the gun by it's scope.

The 1-08 is a selective-fire, gas operated, air cooled weapon.

Two carry straps allow the addition of a shoulder strap. the foward strap is positioned slightly to the left, so it doesn't get in the way of the iron sights.

Weight: 5405 lbs (2452 kg) empty, 7791 lbs (3537kg) fully loaded with gas and napalm
Max Tow Weight: 7716 lbs (3500 kg)

Designed to be a light anti infantry attack vehicle, the F-1-1 needed to be quick, maneouvable, and light. It was designed by BDOTP to be used primarily in urban warfare and with guerrila style tactics. Or as a police/SWAT riot control vehicle/ Its relativly small size means it can manoeuvre around obstacles easier than full sized IFVs.
Its 3.0l TDI engine propels it to 95 mph (152 km/h) Due to the design and durability of the diesel engine it can take any grade of diesel or petrodiesel or B5, B20, or B99 biodiesel, or vegetable oil. This means that you can fuel the FireFox almost anywhere.
It's 4x4 off road capabilties are comparable to a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, but nothing like a Humvee's.

The so called 'FireFox' carries a large flamethrower on the top of it, which can fire in a 360° rotation with an -5 and + 50 degree firing angle. Using an electric ignition system, the tanks throw the napalm out of the 5/8-inch nozzle with a pressure of 150psi, utilizing compressed hydrogen fed through bottles. The Napalm tank is easily refillable, with the resivior cap being in the back (behind the doors), to avoid damage to it. Its capacity is 724l (159 gallons) of napalm and 361l (80 gallons) worth of pressurised hydrogen bottles, (can hold 8 10 gallon bottles.) The bottles are also stored in the back, along with another round of 8 bottles. *caution hydrogen bottles kept under pressure*
The flame-thrower uses napalm and can fire upto 360 ft (110m), it is particularly effective at disabling gun emplacements, bunkers and cave hideouts, it also makes a good psycholocigal weapon. It is controlled by a passenger in the jeep, with a wired control panel and point of view camera of the gun, this means that the passenger in either the front or back can use it. Its burn time means that it is best suited to guerrila style tactics or ambushes, attacking and moving off quickly. The burn time are as follows: full range - 20 seconds. 55m - 50 seconds. The amount of pressure used (which will dictate range) can be controlled by the controller.
A well trained loader in the back can change all the bottles in just over a minute. The bottles are placed in numbered slots, 1-8, and are used in sequence from 1 through to 8, meaning that bottles can be changed whilst the gun is still using the others.
With slight modification (kit included) the flamethrower can be converted into a power water hose, capable of firing upto 164 ft (50m) and of discharging 1500 lit/min at 10 bar. This is perfect for riot control.

Armour consists of 1.5 in (38 mm) steel and titanium shell, with driver and passanger compartments covered in kevlar, (similar to ballistic vests.) The windsheilds are bullet resistant upto .50 caliber, this is 3 in thick (120 mm)

The engine is placed in the front of the jeep, with the flamethrower tanks in the back, next to the rear passenger. Its snorkel on the rear allows it to ford up to 25 in (635 mm.) It holds 3 people, (2 in the front, one facing backwards in the back.) to help aid it in riot control, detachable steel frames can be attached to the windows, comes with the jeep (in the back with rear passenger.)

The Viper Attack Vehicle (VAV) was designed to give the APB a quick assault vehicle that had more uses, and was more durable than the exsisting Technicals and SuperTechnicals.
Using the chasis from a Land Rover Range Rover, the APB vehicle designers spent a good year toying with designs until they settled on the basic model, or the VAV ST (VAV Supply Truck). This was easily converted into the other designs required.
The engine in all the range is a 3.9L (3946cc) V8 diesel, producing 190 hp (142 kW) at @ 4750 rpm and 236 lb ft of torque at 3000 rpm. Fuel economy is 12-22 mpg (19-35 km per gallon). Air suspension (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_suspension) allows automatic, speed proportional height adjustment. This can also detect when the vehicle had become 'grounded' and attempt to raise itself to maximum height in an attempt to gain traction.
The range is specially designed to be capable of driving through 45° gradients and traverse 30° side slopes, and wade through 550mm of water.
The range comes with a slight 'V-Hull' to help deflect IEDs and mines away from under the vehicle, the under side armour consists of 2 inch thick steel sloped at a 30° angle. The basic vehicle armour consists of 2 inch thick steel, with a 1 inch layer of Kevlar covering all the crew compartment, windows consist of bullet resistant glass, 70 mm (2.8 ins) thick. The up armoured versions also add cage armour to help protect agianst single charge RPGs, thicker armouring (extra 2 inch steel composite) around the side windows, another layer of 70 mm (2.8 ins) thick bullet resistant glass on the sides and 2 inch Kevlar armour to protect the gunners.
Dimensions for the whole range are: Length: 4713 mm (185.5 ins), Width: 2228 mm (87.7 ins), Height: 2017 mm (79.4 ins) (excluding gun turrets etc.)

OVERVIEW
The catamaran design gives the Adventure class increased stability even in the roughest of seas. This is accomplished by placing most of the ship's displacement below the level of the waves (like a submarine) where all the kinetic energy of the sea surface is located. Conversely, ships with traditional hull designs have most of their displacement in the wave level of the sea, causing them to roll and pitch in the waves. With twin gas turbine engines, twin water jets, and a streamlined hull, Adventure is capable of speeds of 45 knots and greater.

SMALL CRAFT
Space at the rear is designated for holding two small craft, upto 11m in length, which can be launched simultaneously from the stern, at full speed. This includes assault craft and submersibles. A winch and ramp system is used. The small craft litterally roll off the back and into the water. To re mount onto the ship, the Adventure must slow down sufficiently first, then the ramps are lowered. then the winch is released and lowered to the front of the craft, it is then hoisted back into the vessel. A platform is located near the water line to allow for a crew member onboard the Adventure to attach the winch. The winches can hold up to 1.5 tons. The ramps and winches are placed side by side for simultaneous operation.

AIRWING
The vessel also has a 6-pad helicopter deck capable of operating aircraft up to 20m in length, including unmanned aerial vehicles, and landing helicopters while traveling at speeds of up to 45 knots. A special deck lighting system has been developed for the Adventure using low intensity green lighting around the vessel's edges and helipads. This lighting is particularly effective when using night vision goggles, making landings on the vessel easier than on conventional warships, even at the higher speeds in which vessel operates. The deck consists of 2 elevators, with hanger space for 6 helicopters. (must have folding rotors.)

CONTROL
The Adventure Class' forward superstructure consists of a small three man bridge, above the bridge is a small one man flight operations station, giving excellent views of the flight deck. The contolling of the Adventure class vessel is more like that of a LCAC then that of a conventional warship. The Adventure Class ship utilises the Aegis Combat System. Steering and throttle control are done by wire rather than mechanical linkage. The vessel can be used in brown water, blue water, and littoral situations.

PROPULSION
Power comes from two MTU 595 diesel engines and two LM2500 gas turbines in a CODOG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CODOG)arrangement. Diesel power is used for cruising while the turbines provide high power output for high speed operation. The two gas turbines power the vessels twin water jets, drawing water from the bottom stern of each hull and powering it through large water turbines, which are responsible for the vessel's remarkable speed. Each water jet has thrust vectoring and thrust reversers making it possible for Adventure to move sideways while docking, or even traveling in reverse. Thrust vectoring also makes it possible for the vessel to make dramatic evasive maneuvers while traveling at high speed. This would prevent the craft from being forced to shore or into the path of enemy vessels.

WEAPONRY
Armaments come from four 8-cell Mk 41 Vertical Missile Launching (VLS) Self-Defense Launchers. (SDL) These are capable of firing RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM), STANDARD Missile-2 Block II, III and Vertical Launch Anti-Submarine Rocket (VLASROC). Using either Mk 22, Mk 13, or Mk 15 canisters, the ship can hold upto 128 missiles ready for launch, using all Mk 22 Rim-162 ESSM canisters. 32 using all Mk 13 & Mk 15 STANDARD and VLASROC missile canisters. The Mk 41 VLS can fire 8 missiles simoultaneously. Five M60 Mk.43 mod.0 machine guns. 1 facing forward, 2 rear facing, 1 left, 1 right facing, not shown in drawing.

STEALTH
The ships hull is made from strong and light Aluminium alloys, due to its design this class is ideal for stealth, it has a low profile, minimal vertical lines and minimal use of right angles. Its' radar cross-section makes it appear about the size of a mid sized fishing vessel. The magnetic signature is reduced by the presence of a demagnetization belt. The acoustic signature is minimized by mounting the engines on elastic supports, as to transmit as little vibrations to the hull as possible, and by rubber coating on the propellers. It is equipped with the Prairie Masker active acoustic camouflage system, which generate small bubbles from underneath the hull to confuse sonars. (as used on the La Fayette)

CREW AREAS
Crew areas consist of 3 dorms, 1 for the officers, 1 for the enlisted crew, and one for the aircrew, a high-tech breifing room, canteen and mess (seats 20) a gym can also be constructed and deconstructed on the flight deck in under 5 minutes. (when 10+ crew are involved in moving and assembly) This consists of 5 dumbells, 2 rowing machines, 2 running machines, and a boxing ring. The crew areas are some what cramped, and the crews will become restless after long periods of time in the small environments. All rooms are climate controlled, and only the flight operations station and bridge have windows, this may be of some annoyance to the crew, but it is done for a number of reasons, i.e. to improve stealth, and to help protect the crews inside from enemy fire. The crew is protected against biological, chemical and nuclear environments.
