After many years of toiling with only 4 provinces, Rithian has finally decided to colonize the string of islands to the east. This would make the fifth province, the Far Eastern Territory, or properly known as Aeigis. Helicopters, Air Vehicle Transport Units, and Supply Boats are heading toward what has been known as the Remote Islands, right off Rithian's Coast. The Rithic Government made a statement this morning, saying simply "This will be our first in a long line of expansions, hopefully getting us to a full ten provinces.". All International thoughts are welcome.

Around lunch the main planes landed, allowing the soldiers to set up a basic camp and scout for any dangers. Rithian requests that since Aeigis is a new hope, that it be regarded as a colony of Rithian, and not a territory.

The Kiravian Empire applauds the efforts of Rithian to establish colonies and expand their territory. In a physical world, extension of political control over geographic space is beneficial for the development and betterment of the people in that political community.

We ask, do you intend to settle Aegis, or is this simply a military annexation?

The Parliament of Greater Rhodesia passed Resolution 08-#734 earlier this morning, a non-binding resolution supporting the colonization of Aeigis by the government of Rithian. As the President of Greater Rhodesia, may I be the first of my countrymen to send my personal support and congratulations the Rithic people on their expansion into the Far Eastern Territory and their planned expansion. Today is truly a great day for Rithian.

MSG: Aeigis is our new colony, it is not a sovereign state. It is has been under Rithic control for several hundred years, however it has not been colonized. Currently, we have 5 million colonists working to secure the region. We can assure you that no harm will be done to another human being.

OOC: Now hang on - isn't using a puppet nation to increase your population against Mod rules, or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?

OOC: I'm pretty sure it is, but that's not what I'm saying. It is a colony, but it's actually for economic stabilization, not increase in population. A year ago, it was actually a really big thing.

Like Rithian, I have been here two years [September ends today, so it's official]. I don't remember this sort of thing going on, but I wasn't to active back then.

OOC: Not THAT big, but there was a few people giving away passes to 300 million population or so nations.
