A total loss of control[MT,Open]

[ooc: since there is no one to send out a message anymore, you would find out about the situation via a citizen of yours on holiday or something. Use of WMD's will more then likely turn all factions against you.]
For the past few weeks, the general populace began growing restless. The central Government was crumbling, and it was completely visible, with many high ranking officials resigning, the MVD acting on it's own accord, the military even lacked control. On a one of the coldest, snowiest days ever recorded in the history of the SRCP around 3 A.M., the remaining central government collapsed. Several large explosions were reported around the country, taking out several power stations and the tunnel near Raccoon City, effectively cutting out the short way of arriving there. With the power grid damaged, and the overload protection inside both the Chernobyl and Chelyabinsk power stations activating, there was a blackout. Shortly after, the next morning, anarchy ensued. All of the sources of communication were down, along with most major means of mass transport. The airports were functional, but under total lock down.
Over the next few days, a radio message was played, originating from one of the forgotten military bases near Chelyabinsk. It informed anyone who could receive it of the situation, what was to be done..
It was quickly realized that it was an emergency recording, accidentally played as a result of a scuffle between several Generals in a hidden control bunker. Several factions emerged from the power vacuum;
The Military
-Resulted from the remaining forces loyal to the Socialist regime that existed, numbering around 1,850,000 personnel nationwide, and has access to communication and surveillance equipment,WMD pass codes and most weapons caches. Lots of infighting between regional forces.
"Volya"
- A group led by the former ousted dictator,Viktoria Kotenko. More or less based in Chelyabinsk, has a reasonable amount of supplies, but few communications equipment. Very disorganized, but rivals most other factions with numbers and will to fight. A vaguely Anarchist group, but rumored to return to the original Queendom/Dictatorship
"Demokratiya"
- A faction preaching free and open elections, free trade and civil rights.
Most popular with civilians between the ages of 13-35. The largest non civilian group, but lacks weapons, communications and other supplies. Based in Raccoon City.
"Glory"
- This faction is primarily a fascist group, following those ideals. Easily identifiable due to extensive use of black market western equipment. Very small group, nearly wiped out in skirmishes against the Volya faction and the MVD. Based in the southern oil fields.
MVD
-The Ministry of Internal Affairs. Acting as a police force, it is more or less a neutral party. It maintained communication equipment, and often communicates with the Military. It attempts to maintain order in the larger cities, while smaller ones are subject to faction influence. Based in Pripyat.
Civil militias
- Rag-tag groups of armed civilians, who's loyalty is varied. No communications other then hand-held radios and satellite phones.

1300, New Ramm City
A Rammsteinburgian cruise ship had just arrived in one of the city's largest ports. During its three month voyage, it visited many nations -- the last of which was a small island nation near Chernobyl-Pripyat.
Exhausted, passengers exited at a snail's pace. All except one man, that is. He pushed his way through the crowd as fast as he could. His name was Dmitry Eichmann. His mother was from Chernobyl-Pripyat, and he had been visitng family there. His occupation: a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for The Great Warlord Republic of Rammsteinburg.
1345, New Ramm City
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Dmitry Eichmann sat in the office of Hans Sebastian Kohlberg, Rammsteinburg's Minister of Foreign Affairs. Eichmann had just finished telling the minister of the current state of affairs in Chernobyl-Pripyat.
The minister stared a painting of the old Ramm City, before it was destroyed in Ramsteinburg's second civil war, during the entire tale. He continued to after Eichmann was done. "Hm," he said, seeming hardly interested at all, "very interesting. Very interesting, indeed.

Xavier McCartney sat in his office. Some of the intel experts over at Special Branch had requested to see him. There was a knock at the door
"Come in" Xavier said
The door opened, and two men walked in. They both saluted Xavier
"Alright Gentlemen, what's this all about?" Xavier asked
"Well, when were re-alligning one of our satelites, it passed over Chernobyl-Pripyat, and took these pictures" said the first man, handing them to Xavier. He looked at them - what appeared to be an airport, with all the aircraft landed and nothing moving.
"Okay, you took pictures of an Airport - why did I need to see this?" he asked, putting the photos down
"Uh sir, you also need to see this" said the man nervously, handing Xavier another photo. He looked at it
"It's the same one" Xavier said
"No sir, it was taken about 24 hours after the others were taken, and look at this" he showed Xavier a tunnel, which appeared to have collapsed, as it was easy to see the rubble which was blocking the entrance.
"Have you contacted someone in Chernobyl-Pripyat?" Xavier asked them
"We've been trying Sir, but no go yet" replied the man
"Alright, give me an update in one hour" Xavier told them as he sat down "I'll consider sending a team in if you still get no response"

They were lost. What had been a regular exploratory mission involving a civilian aircraft for transport had, after several engine problems and a mild storm that passed over them, turned into a mission to just reach land somewhere so they could try to get back to the Empire. Most them them were pretty sure they were not supposed to be in this area.
Sergeant Hon growled as he noticed the airport they were approaching. It was unnaturally still, and the airport itself was in too good a shape to have been abandoned for long. The status of the airport made him nervous, yet a quick glance at the fuel gauge showed that they were either going to land at it or crash not far from it. He was still unsure how they had managed to get this far, with how that storm had been.
"Genkji, is the radio fixed yet?" Hon asked.
"No," Genkji said, sitting the screwdriver she was holding aside in frustration. "Completely fried. Looks like it was starting to go bad when we took off. And that storm certainly did nothing for us. Hopefully, they've got a working radio we can use to contact the Empire."
"I doubt it," Hon said. "Everyone, get prepaired for hostiles. I think we're going to have fond memories of that storm..."

A C-130 flew by overhead. A team of Ustian Royal Marines jumped from the rear ramp and parachuted down into Chernobyl-Pripyat. After they landed, the four man team regrouped. It was comprised of a Medic, Sniper, and two Regular marines. The regulars held AN-94's, with GP-30 grenade launchers and night-vision scopes. The Sniper had a Dragunov, and the medic had a Bizon 9mm submachine gun. None of which were used by the Ustian Army. They were only in there to assess the situation. Their transport aircraft flew back overhead
"Reckon he brought his driving license?" said the Sniper
"No, why?" replied the Leader
"He'll need it if he flies that thing any lower"
There was a chuckle of laughter from all of them. The leader turned to the other regular
"Bill, check the radio" he said
"Righto Lieutenant" Bill replied, pulling out the radio reciever "Juliet 1-5, this is Romeo 2-4 Over"
There was silence. Then;
"Go Ahead 2-4, Over"
"1-5, This Is A Radio Check, Over" Bill continued
Silence again
"We Read You 2-4, Radio Is Functional. Out"
Bill put the reciever away, "It's working Harry" he said to the Lieutenant
"Okay" said Harry, getting to his feet "Ed, you take point"
"Got it Harry" said the Sniper, moving off. They could make out an airport a few miles up ahead.

Night was falling.
For the second night in a row Pripyat was burning. Out of his hotel window , Fren could see down most of the main street. Roving bands of Rioters, revolutionaries and police officers rules now. Indeed the police were doing the best they could to maintain order, but they could not be everywhere and where they were not, things went to hell.
"Fren?"
The voice cought Fren off gaurd and he gripped tightly his rifle. A G-8, standard issue for the Genii Army.
"You certainly came out of nowhere Lon"
"Sorry Sergeant"
"Is everything ready?"
"Burke thinks so, lets just hope the Manticore is on station"
"She will be"
Fren stood up and straightened himself out.
"I know the Captain, and he'll sink the ship before he misses a SO Report.
The two men walked into the adjacent room, each with their rifle in hand. The next room was empty but for a small table, at which sat Specialist Burke, putting the last touches to his communications.
"ready burke?"
"Now or never Sarge"
"Alright, lets illuminate the situation for those at home"

Military Patrol near the airport
"HQ, come in"
"This is HQ"
"Patrol here, There's an aircraft in the area. Civil craft, no radio contact. What should we do?"
"Let them land at the airport, then confine them to the terminal. HQ out."
The Patrol squad drove to the the air field, unlocked a gate and proceeded to the terminal.
Somewhere else
The Democracy faction staged an attack on an arms storage facility controlled by the MVD. They had numbers on their side, but no formal weapons training[most avoided conscription through university, or bribes.].
"Korabyev! take out that machine gunner on the ledge! Sidor, Lyuty and Kot support the NSV! Ruslan, radio for gunship support, we're heavily out numbered!"
The attacking group had set a PKM on the high ground, and kept many of the MVD forces pinned while the others advanced, but it's success was cut shot when someone fired an RPG indirectly at it's location, causing a small landslide.
This break in supporting fire allowed the MVD to return fire with their AKM's and cut down a number of their attackers before they pulled back.
"Lyosha! gunship is in route, it'll follow them. Retake defensive positions!"

Military officers looking over screenings of nations involved with Neo-Erusea spotted strange sightings in the Chernobyl-Pripyat region. Many things were burning, airports were seemingly empty, and zoomed-in photos show debris and remains characteristic to warfare. Satellites had kept watch over the nation, where important Neo-Erusean aircraft were sold to, and now they were in an area of turmoil, and the pinnacle of Neo-Erusea's aviation technology may fall into the hands of hostile forces...

Just as the airplane was landing, those inside it were busy. They hadn't thought they needed the weapons, so they hadn't brought much in the way of ammunition. Each one quietly put their HK USP into their holster, with the three privates worried that they only had a single spare magazine each for the weapon. Hon was far more worried about the XM8s, since he knew they'd use those weapons more and yet only had a total of eight spare magazines. Worst of all, they had brought no armor with them. He knew, automatically, that this would get ugly if a firefight broke out.
"Do not engage unless forces are hostile. We're only here to get a transport back home," Hon ordered, hoping that the newest member of their group would obey his command. "If they attempt to detain us, do not resist. They have no way of knowing whether we're friendlies or not right now. If all goes well, we might yet get an award for this mission."
As the plane began rolling to a stop, the engine finally sputtered its last, dying until such time as it could be refueled. Hon didn't make a sound, though the relief that they landed safety made him relax. He waited patiently until the aircraft finished stopping before moving from the pilot's seat, looking over those here.
"Ventis, take a look. If you see signs of locals, let me know. And don't do anything stupid," Hon ordered.
Emilia Ventis nodded, gulping in nervousness, and reached for the door. As it opened and the stairs decended, she kept looking around, trying to find obvious signs of life. Then she slowly descended the stairs, keeping her rifle in hand but in a relaxed position.
"Sir, it looks deserted," Emilia said, not knowing how wrong she was or that the local military was on its way to detail the four Forensathan soldiers.

"Sir, the plane landed, what are we to do?"
"Let them come close to the terminal, if they are hostile, they will be easy targets."
The squads radioman received a message from the sniper team;
"Overwatch is in position, we have a clear view. I see.. One person, near the plane. Passenger, nervous but armed. There may be more on the plane. Where's the BTR?"
The radioman responded:
"It's in the garage, should we send it out?"
"It would be the best course of action. It's unlikely that they would have anti-armor weapons. Get on the intercom and anounce out presence."
"Copy. Ivan, got to the comm room and use the loud speakers. You three stay here and maintain over watch, The rest of you get to the APC and advance. Be sure to confiscate all weapons, we don't want any enemies getting their hands on them."
When the soldier got to the comm room, he sent out a message over the loud speakers as planned.
"Attention flight crew and passengers. You are currently in Military controlled territory. Please evacuate your craft with your hands behind your head, and allow the in route force to detain you. You will be relocated inside the terminal for your own safety. If you have any weapons, leave them in the craft."
The APC with the rest of the squad left the parking garage and moved on the plane.

President Altair had been working around the clock to deal with his nations' growing number of civil rights protests, mostly dealing with gay and pro-choice activists. His approval ratings were still relatively high, however, secular influence was flooding his nation and he needed to restore the power of the faiths.
A man entered his office, Ethan Toshka, one of his advisors, holding a minilla folder in his hands.
"More police reports?" asked the President.
"No, satellite photos taken over Chernobyl-Pripyat," replied the man. He passed the folder over the president's cresent-shaped desk.
President Altair scanned through them, having served in a recon role before, the President didn't have to be told what the pictures were of. "What do you expect me to do about it?"
"Drop some men in there, kill some bad guys and shut up these hippies!" the man said passionately.
"How much intel do we have on the situation? We can't go in there without a reason," said the President.
"Communications are nil but we've got a vague idea of what's happening from the our civilians that have gotten back," said Ethan. "As for a reason, there are still 13 tourists unaccounted for and spreading freedom has always been a good one."
"Organize who you need, get everything ready by next week and I'll ok it," said Pres. Altair somewhat submissively, hopefully a few victories would show that this nation was still his.

Emilia jumped as the loud speakers came to life. She turned to Hon, who was busy placing his XM8 on the seat and removing his pistol, and awaited his orders. Upon seeing her look, he simply nodded, the others having already followed his lead. It made Emilia even more nervous, but she reached inside the plane, setting her rifle on the floor before removing her pistol and sliding it inside.
As the others came out, each with their hands behind their head, they lined up. Emilia was the last to comply, though she was in position and waiting when the APC finally reached their position. Hon waited patiently for any sign of communication or soldiers exitting the vehicle, all the while wondering what they had blundered into. Still, he figured that military meant a government of some sort, which meant people he could talk to about being deported to the Empire.

Five Constellations
29-09-2008, 04:33
OOC: Seeing how this is open I would like to join. Just to let you in the know the Five Constellations will be supporting the MVD and if possible the military. My reasoning will be in the IC part of this post.
IC:
The National Intelligence Source, better know as the N.I.S.; was formed only twenty years ago from today, but proved to be one of the most useful uniform services of the nation of The Five Constellations. N.I.S. is task with everything intelligence, everything from espionage to networking to analysis of data to briefing the Generals of the Junta Council. They did all this to perfection and more. In a building by the southern coast of The Five Constellations there stood a building among other buildings in a minor city. This building was just as big as the others, but small enough that no one paid mind to it. Some would find it odd that there were only windows up to what seem to be the twenty-fourth floor, but that was not all that uncommon in this country.
However, in this building a few hundred men and women sat before their computers. Scanning the internet for the latest news, looking over intercepted emails, looking over satellite photos, and some were even planning out their next briefings. Brain is one of those few people. A folder, notepad, and several documents in hand Brain made his way to the conference room to brief a very higher-ups about the situation in Chernobyl-Pripyat.
Once inside the conference room he dumped all of his papers onto the oval desk in the center of the room, pulled down the thick screen covering the only windows that allowed a view into the room, and he walked over to the door to both close it and press a button. That brought down a projector from the ceiling which turned on flashing a blue square onto the screen. He pressed a few buttons and the title page of a powerpoint presentation went on screen. It simply read: Chernobyl-Pripyat Situation in a bold font. Brain set up the folders he had in hand in front of each of the four chairs around the desk and placed his notepad on the podium on the right of the big screen.
In a few minutes he would begin briefing three political advisors and a Colonel about the situation in Chernobyl-Pripyat. Then they would be so impressed not only will they take action on his data, but would also promote him to a higher pay grade or better yet put him on the field.
Of course he came too early and had to stand there like an idiot waiting for the higher-ups to come, but once they did his excitement returned.
"Okay," Brain started after the man and three women sat down, "I do believe introductions are not needed correct?" Everyone nodded. "Okay then, lets begin." He clicked a button on a small remote and the presentation moved to a slide showing some facts about Chernobyl-Pripyat. "Chernobyl-Pripyat is recognized country, at least by us and we have had not pass relations with it. It seems to be fairly large and is, sorry, was a socialist country until now." Brain clicked the button and a slide with various photos of power-plants with fireballs around them went on the screen.
"At around five or so a.m. a rebellion of sorts broke out. We don't know much since all power and communications were lost at around this time. What we do know comes from the news feed of other countries. It seems that the centralized government has collapsed and several fractions have taken up arms to replace the former socialist government." The Colonel rose he hand slightly to show she wished to speak.
"Do we as of yet know who started this rebellion and their motives?" her uniform showed her as coming from the Expeditionary Forces.
"No, Brain stated cooly trying to clam himself down from his excitement; "it is currently unknown who started this, but whoever did must be with one the bigger fractions then I'm about to talk about." Brain clicked and a slide with the names of each fraction came on.
"Please," the Colonel said turning her folder to the next page, "continue."
"Okay then," Brain started again, " there are three fractions total; 'Glory,' 'Volya', and 'Demokratiya.' The military is also a player and is currently trying to reestablish the socialist rule, but are having trouble with internal affairs amongst themselves. There is also the policing forces trying to reestablish order in the bigger cities under the command of the country's former Ministry of Internal Affairs. There also seems to be a few militia groups formed by civilians to fight for whoever they want to." Brain paused to let one of the political advisors to speak.
"Anyone wining thus far?"
"Unknown," Brain clicked and a slide titled Glory went up with a few written facts about the 'Glory' fraction. "The 'Glory' as they like to call themselves are fighting to bring fascist policies to the nation. They seem to be armed with black market gear and most of their activity seems to center around this area," Brain pointed to a small map of Chernobyl-Pripyat on the slide where a red circle marked the oil fields. "Thus far they have gotten their asses kicked."
"Next," the next slide was very similar to the one before it, but is about the 'Volya' and the slide after that showed information on the 'Demokratiya.' Then Brain went on about the militia groups, the remaining military force, and the finally the MVD.
"Seems like a real cluster-fluck uh?" one of the political advisors said, "but why does it matter to us?"
After clicking through two slides that he forgot to delate covered in nothing, but pointless photos of fighting on the streets of Chernobyl-Pripyat to a slide with only a single photo of a man in a business suit with a gag on and a newspaper with yesterday's date being held in front of his chest. He looked beat-up and the man holding the newspaper, as well as the men all around them holding guns, wore masks.
"Shit, I know that guy," the male advisor cursed, "he is the current CEO of a major arms company here. His name is Ruska Stevens. Let me guess, they want guns right?"
Brain nodded, "we're not sure what fraction they are, but most likely they are militia group that ran across him and his aids. One of the militiamen must have seen him on a news paper or something. Their demanding that his company send them guns, anti-tank weapons, anti-air weapons, and even armored jeeps."
The Colonel closed her folder and and spoke, "thank you Brain for confirming what we already knew," Brain gave a confused expression, "we in the military already knew about the CEO. We just needed solid proof. The data in this folder and that folder prove he is somewhere in Chernobyl-Pripyat. Do we know where?"
"Yes," Brain flipped through his notepad, "we believe he is being held just outside of Chernobyl, the newspaper in the photo is from that city."
"It could be a trick," the male advisor commented.
"It is our only tip. We have a squad of operatives ready for this, but they won't be able to deploy until a week from now. Until then, Brain, I have been ordered to inform you that you have been promoted to a field operative and that you have been placed as the highest ranking 'spook' on the field for this case," the colonel informed Brain. However, Brain was too busy celebrating in his head to listen. "Also, you have two days to pack to train with the operatives."
Then the celebration stopped, "what?" Brain asked.
"You are going to be deployed to Chernobyl-Pripyat to retrieve Ruska with the operatives. Your going to be their guide in-country. You have two days to pack before you have to report for training at Fort Swamp," the Colonel smiled and walked out the room followed by the others. Brain stood there for a few seconds before packing up his things and heading to his desk. An emotion he could not describe flowing through him. One he could not describe; fear? no; he did not know what to fear yet, happiness? no; it felt nothing like that, excitement? no; sadness? no, or maybe a combination of the four?; who knows.

As the APC arrived, several soldiers dismounted with their rifles at the ready. A pair of them went inside the craft, and reported the weapons on board. The man in charge, who knew English, gave the command for the forces to be at ease. He approached the group from the plane and introduced himself in a heavy Russian accent.

"MVD squad this is Falcon, targets pulled into the forest. Engaged and destroyed a Technical. returning to base."
The Mi-24 returned to where ever it was deployed from, and the area was eerily silent. They small group of MVD operatives rearmed themselves with the equipment in the warehouse, searching for explosives.
"Lyosha, I found a stash of OG-7V's, and an old ZU-23-2 with ammunition. It's kinda beat up, but it will work for fire support."
"Good. Bring it out here. Any mines in there?"
"Dunno. Sasha's looking."
They had eventually found some bouncing type mines, and placed them randomly at and around the tree line. Further in the back of the building, an old communications truck was located. While the truck itself didn't work, the radio set did. From this, they could listen in on enemy and freindly communications, along with sending them.

"I am Lt. Colonel Zhora Vladimirov. Please enter the vehicle and I will explain the situation on the way to the terminal."
Hon nodded, saying, "Sergeant Hon of the House of Dragons."
Hon then led the way, though he paused long enough to wait for the privates to pile in, giving each one a look that suggested the people with guns wouldn't be their only problem if they caused trouble. It was then that he climbed in, taking a seat. Each one kept their hands above their heads, intending to show the soldiers that they intended no trouble. The privates kept giving their commander nervous looks, as though each were more afraid of his wrath unarmed than the armed might of the soldiers around them. In truth, each one was; the soldiers around them were an unknown factor, but their commander could always make sure the rest of their military careers were consisted of the worst jobs the military could think of. And that was without each one considering what might he might possibly hold over them as a member of the House of Dragons.
On one level, Hon silently regretted taking this assignment. It was supposed to be an easy one, allowing him to enjoy a more relaxed part of the military until his retirement. He certainly did not expect that he would find himself disarmed and sitting in a foreign military transport, in the middle of a situation he knew nothing about and with three soldiers under him that he wouldn't normally want in his squad if he were to see combat. Another part of him reminded him that nobody ever guaranteed this assignment would be boring.

Tuccius shuffled out of the gate where his plane just landed. All around him, there was the ususal hussle and bussle that went on in Augustine International. As he made his way out of the international concourse, he found himself in line for Rathani customs. After a short time of waiting, a customs agent beckoned him forward.
"Good afternoon." The Customs Agent said without looking up from his computer.
Tuccius slapped his passport down on the table and wiped his brow.
"Where are you coming from?" The Agent asked as he glanced at the passport and Tuccius's face repeatadly.
"Chernobyl-Pripyat." Tuccius answered.
After the ususal questions, the Customs Agent started stamping the passport. Just then, Tuccius leaned forward. "Are there any Praetorian ((equiviliant of the FBI and Secret Service)) around?" Tuccius asked in a hushed tone.
"Why do you ask?" The Customs Agent asked warily as he slowly handed Tuccius his passport.
"I need to talk to them... It's about Chernobyl-Pripyat." Tuccius responded.
The Customs Agent quirked an eyebrow, but picked up his phone and started talking to whoever was on the other line. After a five minute conversation, the Agent hung up and sighed. "They'll be here in a few minutes, stand over there." He told Tuccius as he pointed to a seat out of the way of the line of travelers.
After a while, two men in black suits approached Tuccius. "Mr. Tuccius Costa, I'm Special Agent Cicero and this is Special Agent Dorsuo." One of them said as he motioned for Tuccius to stand up. "Please follow us."
After a bit of a walk through areas where regular travelers weren't supposed to go, they finally arrived in a small interrogation room.
"Now, please sit down and tell us what you wanted to tell us." Cicero said as he took a seat in front of Tuccius.
"I was just in Chernobyl-Pripyat, as I'm sure the Customs Agent told you... I was there gathering information for a book I'm writing. I'm an economist, so I was examining different types of economic systems and how they effect government, worker efficiency, and other things." Tuccius responded. "Anyway, while I was there the government collapsed and now the entire country has dissolved into faction based warfare."
Special Agent Cicero sat back for a minute and lit up a cigarette. "So, this is what you so urgently summoned us for?" Cicero responded as he took a drag on his cigarette. "The Araeni hasn't uncovered anything on that and if they did, they didn't share it with us."
"Communication has been all but cut off, if the Araeni ((Equivilant of the CIA) has agents over there, then they wouldn't be able to get in contact with their agents." Tuccius responded.
Cicero rubbed his beard for a minute and motioned for Dorsuo to come to him. After a short while of whispering back and forth, Dorsuo quickly left the room.
"If what you say is true, this is not the domain of the Praetorian... You're going to have to discuss this with the Araeni." Cicero said at last as he took another drag on his cigarette. "Until then, you're going to have to stay here... You haven't signed a sworn gag order on the issue yet and we'd prefer that this doesn't land in the lap of the press quite yet... Prodocol, you know how it is." He added as he ground his cigarette into the ashtray.
Araeni Headquarters - Saint Alexander City, Rathanan
Titus Seius Lactuca sat as he desk daydreaming about his upcoming vacation to Saint Peter Island with his wife when all of a sudden the phone rang. Startled, Seius grabbed the phone and picked it up. "International Civil Wars Department, Lactuca." He stammered.
"This is Special Agent Dorsuo from the Praetorian, I'm at Augustine International and I have a man here that just came from Chernobyl-Pripyat." Dorsuo responded on the other end. "He claims that the government has dissolved there and faction based warfare has commenced, do you guys know anything about that?"
"I haven't heard anything, but let me check through the files that just came through today." Seius responded as he began rummaging through a big pile of folders. "No, nothing here... Are you sure he's not just a national trying to gain assylum?"
"Pretty sure, he has a legitement Rathani passport and we've confirmed his occupation, tax returns, and permanent address." Agent Dorsuo responded with an impatient tone. "He claims that all communication has been cut off, so any and all agents cannot report said information to you all."
"Well, I wouldn't know about agents not reporting in... I don't have a high enough security clearance to know that type of sensitive information." Seius responded.
"Is there anyone in your Department that would?" Agent Dorsuo asked growing ever more impatient.
"No, we're analyists, not agent handlers... Information comes to us from the bosses of the agents' handlers and then we sort it, give each case priority, and write reports on it." Seius responded as he looked at the clock. The day never goes by fast enough.. He thought to himself.
Agent Dorsuo gave a big sigh and swore.
"I'll tell you what, though, I'll hand this information over to my boss and it can go down the chain... You might consider getting your guy a hotel room, this could take a bit." Seius said after a pause.
"I'll take what I can get." Dorsuo said.
"Good by-" Seius was cut off by Dorsuo hanging up the phone.
After jotting down notes on the matter, Seius knocked on his boss's door.
"Mister Laenatus, I just got a call from a Special Agent Dorsuo from the Paetorian and he gave me a bit of interesting information." Seius said.
"Well, hand it over Seius... I haven't got all day." Laenatus responded.
Seius handed his boss his notes and continued to glance at the clock
"I'll get in touch with the heads of the Intelligence Gathering Department... Perhaps they could make heads or tails out of this." Seius's boss said as flipped through the notes. "Until then, you're excused to go on your 'romantic' weekend with your wife." He added as he picked up his phone and started looking through his directory.

Things were getting complicated.
"Ok, take me through it again John" Asked Andrew Kloch, LGM of the genii nation
Master Commodore John Fitziminz looked slightly annoyed by having to explain it all a second time. The Lord General Militants tone was friendly but equally threatening.
"Aye Sir, a Satellite covering the naval exercises a few days ago picked up a discrepancy in its images as it passed over Chernobyl-Prypyat..."
"Were we spying on them"
"No, Sir, it was merely coincidence as the exercise moved closer to land. The CP river was to be used as a mock area for the exercise."
"Ok go on"
"Well sir, most of the artificial lighting was out and the cities showed signs of military style activity"
"Meaning..."
"Explosions sir. Fires. Exciting things like that. I...We thought it would be prudent to investigate, but after several failed attempts to communicate we deployed a Marine Commando Unit."
"Without telling me?"
The commodore was suddenly aware of the direness of his next words.
"Well sir, we didn't know what was going on, I could have been anything."
"So you Deployed forces to a foreign country without informing me!?"
"Sir I only thought..."
"You Didnt Think!, Thats your Problem John, You never THINK!"
"Sir..."
"Tell me they didn't bring any issue material.."
There was an uncomfortable silence in the Briefing room.
"Go on" The lord general said softly
"They reported in an hour ago"
"How, the fleet returned to port this morning"
"The GNS Manticore feigned engine trouble to stay in the area longer"
"Hell! I shouldn't be so surprised by that, Captain Brenner always did think with his balls and not his hat"
"Yes sir well, apparently the country has descended into faction fighting. The Government has collapsed, Power is totally gone, Basically the whole place is gone to the hot place in a ration container"
"We received no word of this from any other source Lord," Piped in Secretary Phillips," We don't have anything other then the word of a team that is where it shouldn't be"
"I don't think we're the only ones who were investigating either"
"John?"
"The Manticore radar picked up at least one low flying C-130, SF's I'd say and not squawking either, So I'd bet my fine white hat whoever it was wasn't meant to be there any more then us"
"what does the NAF see frankie?"
The Naval Air Force Commendant seemed startled at his sudden inclusion
"Oh er...Right, Sat net telemetry shows a few satellites being diverted to that area sir, it wouldn't look like it on face value but by tomorrow there will be a dozen new Sat's over the area."
"Aright, Send the 3rd Naval Wing to the Manticore, Give Brenner command, And get in contact with our boys on the ground. I want to know who's in charge, Dismissed "

UPDATE:
Glory faction gains steady foothold on the southern areas, boost in numbers via foreign Mercs. Captured supply depot[ they now posses 250 LY4A1 tanks, along with a number of Igla-1 launchers.] Clashes at Sulfur River crossing with Volya faction. A new hyper-religious faction started, based in a village near lake Yantar.
River Crossing
Controlling this bridge makes further advances north easy, and the Glory faction has had a steady advance with their newly procured LY4A1's. They had met some trouble, however. Shortly after the first few tanks approached the bridge, they were disabled by AT weapons, and the escorting infantry ambushed by members of the Volya faction. Many facist troops were caught in the open when heavy machine gun fire came up from the hillside, slightly higher then the main guns of the tanks could aim. Because when the military had purchased those tanks, they were meant to be reserve vehicles, or used during multinational operations, they were stowed away, and didn't have a commanders machine gun installed. Their APS systems often destroyed the Kornet missiles before they hit, but volleys of RPG-28's did major damage. The tanks at the rear could engage the ambushes, and took potshots at them whenever possible.
"The anarchist bastards are up in that rocky outcrop, we are under heavy fire, unknown number of attackers, heavy casualties, over! All units report staus, over.."
"This is 1st squad radioman, every one is down, I'm using a disabled tank for cover, they ma-" The distinct cracking of AK-74 fire is heard, with returning FN SCAR fire audible. "This is 1st, I'm out of ammo, they're advancing! wheres our fire support!? fffffffffsssssssssssss
Meanwhile, up on the ledge, they were listening in on their radio transmissions. Behind the bend in the road, they had a few 82mm mortars set up, and would begin firing upon the units on the other side of the bridge, once they got the distance dialed in.
"they're ranged at 753m. send a runner to inform the thumpers. How many left below us?"
"Not too many. PK fire took a heavy toll on them, and the tanks are immobilized. The crews won't dare to exit the vehicles unless forced to, and we still have to worry about them shooting at us."
"get an AT team higher up and attack the tanks from above."
The mortars began to fire upon the concentration on the other side of the hill, destroying a few logistics vehicles and killing several.
"We're under artillery fire, where's that fire support?"
"Quit using the radio you idiot, they're listening in on us!"
"Lt, we have an NSV on hand, where shall we set it up?"
"Get it up front, use aimed fire."

APC in route to the terminal
"From what I heard, the central government disappeared, and for some reason several facilities were bombed after-hours, effectively cutting off means of mass transport or communication. The terminal is safe, for now. Once we get inside, we'll attempt to send a message to your home country to get you back."
Over the radio, the sniper reported an odd sighting.
"We've got some men in a nearby field, I saw them completely by chance. They don't look like a civil militia or those religious fanatics."

The sudden influx of immigrants from Chernobyl-Pripyat into the Holy Imperium was startling, to say the least. Attempts to contact the government of Chernobyl-Pripyat had resulted in no answer whatsoever, as interviewed immigrants spoke of something amounting to a "total loss of control" (OOC: I'M SO CLEVER!!!)
-------------------------------------------------------
Imperial Palace
Angenteria City
Lord-Minister of Foreign Affairs Tiberius Reginus made his way down the massive hallway to his meeting with Emperor Riektal. The Holy Imperium was getting anxious over the lack of response from Chernobyl-Pripyat, and the Emperor had called a meeting to discuss just exactly the Holy Imperium was going to do about it. Finally reaching the massive doors to the Emperor's meeting chamber, he stepped inside.
"Ah, Tiberius." He was instantly greeted by Emperor Marcus Riektal as the doors slid open, closing behind him.
"My Lord." Reginus bowed down on one knee, head down, before rising and taking his seat. The other Lord-Ministers had already arrived, and Reginus could make out the face of Cornelius Zyvan, Lord-General Militant of the Imperial Guard.
"Let's get started, then." Emperor Riektal began. He motioned to the palace guard by the door, who dimmed the lights.
"It has been brought to my attention that a large number of immigrants from the country of Chernobyl-Pripyat have been arriving within our borders recently. Lord-Minister Nelson?"
"My lord..." began Liam Nelson, Lord-Minister of the Interior began "...at this time, approximately 10,000 immigrants have arrived from Chernobyl-Pripyat in the past two days, and an estimated 70,000 will have arrived by the end of the week."
"Now that's quite the number." the Emperor said. "Can we ascertain the reason why this is happening?"
"Well, My Lord..." Cut in Lord-General Militant Zyvan "...from the information gathered by our satellites, we have gathered that something of a total collapse of the Chernobyl-Pripyat government has occurred. If I may direct My Lord's attention to these pictures, taken by the same satellites." He pressed a button by his chair, and a large screen situated on a wall powered up. He pressed another button, and several images displayed on the screen, depicting ruined buildings and debris. "As you can see, these are all images point to some sort of warfare or internal power struggle."
Emperor Riektal sat in his chair at the head of the table, deep in thought. What would his father have done in this situation, he wondered?
"What if we were to mobilize the Imperial Guard to take control of the situation?" He asked finally.
"Logistically, My Lord, it's very possible." Lord-Minister of Military Affairs Larson Manheim began. "We can have three regiments fully deployed to Chernobyl-Pripyat within 48 hours."
"If we are going to enter the conflict as our own faction." Lord-Minister Reginus chimed in. "We should exercise caution. I would suggest first sending in an elite covert team first, to get a feel for the situation, and clear the way for our main forces. That way, we can enter without arousing suspicion from our 'allies.' "
Lord-General Zyvan chuckled. "You have the mind of a tactician, Lord-Minister. The Imperial Guard could have a use for you." He smiled, standing up. "My Lord, this course of action would be most recommendable."
Reginus smiled. "Thank you, Lord-General, but I wouldn't dare abandon my post."
"As you wish."
"Well, then." The Emperor cut in. "It's settled. Deploy a covert ops team to the area to ascertain the situation, then move in with the Imperial Guard. These are my orders."
"As My Lord says, so shall it be." All present spoke in unison, standing up.
Five Constellations

Drill, breakfast, drill, lessons, more drill, gun practice, lunch, drill, more lessons, dinner, free time, drill and then finally sleep. That was Brain's schedule for the past two days and would be for the next two days. Brain had been 'promoted' Army Specialist which meant he got the pay grade of a Corporal, but none of the command responsibilities; and the Army sent their newest 'recruit' to Fort Swamp to 'train' him for the upcoming covert possibly overt rescue op. To make matters worse the squad he is suppose to deploy with were not happy with his being there. They saw him as being some mutant freak that came to ruin their fun.
Right now Brian was eating breakfast with the 2nd Platoon, Echo Company, 4th Battalion of the 8th Special Operations Group based out of Fort Rain. Most of the company had remained at Fort Rain, the only 'real men,' as the Sergeant in charge like to call his squad, of the company were the operatives of the 1st Squad. They were allegedly the best at search-and-rescue. The N.I.S. had been running non-stop coverage on the region they believed the CEO was being held and they came up with crap loads of information, it didn't help the militia group that they members who were willing to give up info for cash or gifts.
Thanks to those bribes they got some satellite phone frequencies that they could listen into from the air.
There is, of course, a problem, Chernobyl-Pripyat wasn't exactly neighbors with The Five Constellations and worse yet it is landlocked. This meant that they couldn't launch a bird to intercept them and the informants weren't willing to give up info as about the whereabouts of the CEO. This meant a sub would have to be sent in to listen in on the militia group's radio chatter. This meant that The Five Constellations had two options covert or permission. As of yet Brian had no idea what they were going to go with.
"Hey, Brain. We're going on a little hike up the mountain for a small game. Pack up the your stuff and get going," Ramzimierz the squad lead dumped his food tray in the trash. He took out a piece of paper from his pocket, "take this. It tells you what you need to bring." Ramzimierz left the mess tent with a group of soldiers for their drill. Brian looked at the paper wondering why Ramzimierz and the others treated him like dead weight. Maybe becasue he was only a third generation Constellation?
Brian dumped his tray and head back to his bunk in the barracks to pack the necessary gear for the hike. Two hours later Brain found himself armed with a OC-14 Groza-9/40 and wearing a uniform he never saw before in his life. He had been training with such gear for the past two days and while he never used anything bigger then a P90 at the gun range. Brain quickly learned how to us the 9 mm weapon with some degree of expertise.
The rest of the squad he was attached to had different gear though. Some of them had AK-101 assault rifles, others a AN-94 assault rifle with a grenade launcher, two guys had SVU-AS sniper rifles, and one lucky bastard is armed with a FN SCAR Mk. 16 CQC rifle with a suppressor attached. Yeah, they looked legit in a very odd sense of the word. They could never fake themselves as MVDs, but that is not what their training to do Brian thought. They were training to look MVD personnel from a distance so that they can sneak in country and raid wherever Ruska is being held. Wait, they assigned Ruska a call sign. Something snow and vinegar, oh yeah, snowy-vinegar.
"Brain, your falling behind! Catch up before your left behind!" Vaska, the point-man, called out. Which is odd since everyone is getting left behind him. However, Brain is the last in the line one on the hiking trail and he is suppose to be in the middle where the 'tougher' guys can protect him.
Brain was beginning to regret accepting the 'promotion'. He really regretted his choice to accept when he learned that they were going to zip-line down the small mountain.

In the main compound of the navel base where the Five Constellations Fleet Forces Command (FCSFLTFORCOM) made its base a Lieutenant commander is briefing a commander on his submarine's next mission. To sneak in the Ceres Sea and gather intel on the whereabouts of the CEO who was kidnapped not too long ago. If he and his crew completed that phase of the mission was successful then he had orders to deploy a special forces units inland and support them in any way he can.
Not a very average mission for a submarine that was suppose to be retired in a month or so. Nonetheless, the FCS Knocker would set out the next day.

Hon nodded, saying, "Thank you. Our home nation may be willing to devote troops to helping you with your efforts in reestablishing order."
"Sir, no disrespect, but what about our weapons?" Emilia asked.
"Leave it, private. The Twelve Houses are not concerned with simple guns," Hon replied, turning back to their captors. "If it wasn't for the radio, we wouldn't have landed in the wrong nation. Some civilians get to explain why they didn't mention the radio was bad."
He wondered at the report over the radio, but said nothing. This meant that they were not the only ones... and he silently wondered just how much there was to worry about. Still, these people were organized. Organization and discipline like this meant there had to be some kind of power acting like a government for them. If not, the Twelve Houses would definitely want friendly ties with this military so they could learn from it.
"If a firefight breaks out, I request that myself and my troops be allowed to fight alongside you," Hon said, not revealing that he felt this group to currently be their best bet for survival at the moment. "Besides, it's time my privates got to understand why we train them so much."

The commando team moved closer to the wire fence of the airport. They could see armed men, but as yet they couldn't confirm their stance. There was a crackle of static from the radio;

Again, over the radio the sniper reported a confirmed hostile movement on the airport.
"Hostile forces inbound from the north. A pair of Ural-6x6 with a GAZ66 with rear mounter ZU-23. Orders?"
"Crap.. Can you I.D.?"
"Hostile military. Looks like members of the Vostok Special Battalion. there's at least 25 inroute."
"Pick as many off as you can. All perimeter units report to the central terminal, out."
One of the perimeter units heard what he thought was a crackling of a radio, just before his went off. They sprinted off to the central terminal, while the cracks of an SVD were heard.

Ed moved up, cutting througth the fence with some wire-cutters. The team moved through quickly and began moving across towards the terminal.

"NEW RADAR CONTACT!"
The shout caused a flurry of activity across the bridge of the GNS Manticore (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=567252). Sirens across the ship called the crew to action stations.
Captain Brenner Marched onto the bridge still putting his jacket on.
"Report" he called to noone in particular
"New radar Contact at bearing 278, Just entered coverage on course heading 250, 19 Knots steady, no classification"
The ships XO, 1st Commander Hawk now approached the captain
"Sir, the final elements of the 3rd naval wing have arrived and are at your command"
"Who do we have" The captain asked, inspecting each station
"GNS Dactyl..."
"I can see that" He chuckled gesturing to the large black ship out the port window," Who else"
"The Negret, Hydra, Emere, Lady Midday and the Bergrisar"
"Good bunch, and leads on our contact?"
A nervous crewman gestured for the captain
"What have you crewman?"
"Intercepted radio messages, encrypted, I cracked it but I only got a few seconds before the encrypt shifted. It's high end, shifting comms, and i fairly certain it was directed to that ship"
"What did you get?"
"SO team I'd say, Can't get a fix but somewhere in Sector 2804"
"Anything in the message?"
"Just an alert, I have it here"
The speaker Cracked into life, static indication it was not fixed on the signal, more of a passing fancy of the communications world.
"...is Juliet 1-5. Be Advised, HMS Victory Is Now Entering International..."
"Victory" The XO echoed
"Only the most common name in naval history" The crewman replied
"Right" Said the Captain," Comms, send to that vessel, HMS Victory, This is GNS Manticore of the the Genii 3rd Naval Wing, Are aware if your intentions and have similar, Suggest it beneficial if resources combined"
"Sir?" The XO looked positavely shocked
"I recieved word from Naval Command, we are to look good in front of the other forces that get deployed here, the Nation has never been this invloved in this sort of thing and Command is Eager we look good in front of the other navies I suppose"
"I see" replied the XO, still looking somewhat unhappy
"Message Sent" Called the Comm Officer
"Right, Their move" Said Brenner

OOC: Glory it will be and I had dealings with C-P in the past. So I do have a embassy.
________________________________________________________________________
Within the Fighter4u Office of Foreign Affairs. A fax machine beeped out a message. This everyday boring event quickly caused all five men in the room to jump to their feet. Once they noticed it came with the most highest prioty from their embassy in Chernobyl-Pripyat.
To: Home Office
Prioty:Highest
From: Embassy C-P
COLLAPSE OF GOVERNMENT C-P/ATTACKED BY LOOTERS/MILITARY FACTIONS "GUARD" EMBASSY/CHAOS IN C-P/REQUEST PICK UP AT ONCE/D-5
This message quickly found it way to the highest office in the land. Where the Dictor and his trusted few pour over the Stalellite photos from C-P.
"Sir! This is seriouse! C-P has fallen to internel problems and factions are running around loose! What more our embassy is under military "guard" by rouge elements of the military! We need to get them out!"
"Quite true, reply Fighter4u. " I want a carrier group outside of the Drakovian terriorties waters. Get a battlegroup together also and order it to be ready for delovpment to the Cerse Sea. Sent any subs in the area,up the river. Their orders will be to collect information and not fire unless fired upon. As for the embassy team. I want special forces to be dropped onto the embassy and then have them all picked up by the Crese sea."
When their in the area. We take them out by helicopters.
Then order the battlegroup into the Crese Sea and we invade the southern oil fields. But for now postion them just inside the middle of the river to delay any other forces from entering the sea. Get supplies and a message to this "Glory". Tell them we support them in return for help in getting our embassy team back. If they agree. Drop in T-72 tanks with merc teachers, small arms, boxes of amo, medical supplies, communcations equpiment and black ops teams and frankly whatever else they want."
"As for other naval forces. Hopefully they won't risk a full blown war. And the military forces lefted will soon need to be taken out. But first the embassy team."
"Aye,aye sir!"

"Damn. Genkji, get up there and get a communication out. The Imperial Family must know of this," Hon ordered. "Lt. Colonel, as of now, we're under your command until this battle is solved. Send us where you need us."
Genkji was off as soon as the order began. She didn't need to hear all of it. Hon and the others had seen her go like this before, but even now he had to mentally admit she was very fast. He knew a lot of commanders within the Forensathan military would kill to have someone like her as a messenger.
Hon used hand motions to send the other privates to the food court to get the weapons near it, even as he followed towards the central terminal. He knew, as of this moment, that their willingness to fight would be tested. He wasn't about to go back on his word.
Up in the Control Tower
"Ivan... Lt. Colonel Zhora Vladimirov sent me... need to send radio signal... Forensatha..." Genkji wheezed out as she got to the top.
In Forensatha
General Gorgon of the House of Dragons growled as he looked over the latest reports. This was the third recon team they lost in that area. In all cases, it was because of nature, not enemy forces.
"Still no sign? Damn. Give it another hour, then recall the search parties," Gorgon ordered.

"This is rooftop, I picked a number off, but I'm out of ammo now."
"Copy. Okay everyone, we're heavily out numbered, so I want you all to take the high ground, and let them get close, this way those Vostok bastards won't escape. As for you guys, grab some weapons from the stash and report to the floor directly above us near the windows. Rooftop, whats the status on the ZU?
"It's not a threat, I took out the driver of the truck, along with the gunner. Several more tried to commandeer it, but they're corpses. I can confirm two more 6x6 trucks inroute.
"Copy. BTR, engage those trucks, then flank the targets onhand." The soldiers in the airport loaded up their AKM's and hid themselves amongst the luggage and waited.
Comm. Tower
"OK, I assume you know how to use radio equipment? This station is meant to send messages to aircraft, but it should be able to contact ships in the ocean, and with burst transmission to your home country. I have to report down stairs, but if you need help use the radio." Ivan then placed a hand-held radio set on the desk, and sprinted down the stairs.
Naszran
The city of Naszran was a site of intense conflict. A relatively new religion based faction, with heavy reinforcements from neighboring Adjikstan had seized and occupied the area. They intended to create a holy republic of sorts, with Naszran being the new capital. Because the city had a relatively important airfield, along with a nearby Garrison just outside the city limits, the Military staged a full out assault on the city in the early hours of the morning.
4th,5th and 6th Companies advance, artillery, begin supression of enemy targets. 9th Company, advance with 4th and 12th tank platoons on the northern sectors of the city and hold there. Falcons, CS is hot, prioritize heavy weapons. Kombat out.

Hon didn't need to hear more. He nodded, then rushed to join his privates, grabbing a gun from one as the two came back and signalling for them to follow him. They already had an idea of what friendly uniforms looked like, so they just had to fire on those they didn't recognize. The three then ran up the steps, taking them two at a time, before hurrying over to the window. They then dropped low, aiming carefully out the window.
"Wait until they get closer. We're not familiar with these weapons, so use your first shot to learn the difference. And make every shot count... we don't have ammunition to waste," Hon whispered.
Once the enemy soldiers began to close, they opened fire, careful to use single shots for the moment as they adjusted to the recoil.
"OK, I assume you know how to use radio equipment? This station is meant to send messages to aircraft, but it should be able to contact ships in the ocean, and with burst transmission to your home country. I have to report down stairs, but if you need help use the radio."
Genkji nodded and picked up the radio.

The enemy squad, who was sent to look for the sniper, was caught by total surprise. Many of them were dead before even being able to return fire, and the men at the rear of the stack cut down by rounds from above. Three of them were able to pull back behind some cover, with one frantically yelling over the radio for backup, while the other two blindly fired bursts into the first and second floors.
"Ruslan, get an RPG on them!"
On the the soldiers momentarily left the terminal to return with a disposable RPG launcher, went up to the second floor and fired behind the enemy on the ground, killing two of them with the fragmentation, and knocking the other unconscious.
Lipovic[Embassy city]
Heavy fighting between several factions has left much of the city in ruins, and costing the lives of at least 350 civilians. The contesting factions currently fighting are the Glory faction, Volya[with Military backing], and the Democracy factions. After finally breaking through the bridge at the Sulfur River, the Glory faction made a beeline north, but failed to secure the country side, costing them many armored vehicles [primarily T-62's and BMP's]. Because they first wanted to wipe out the Volya faction, based in Chelyabinsk, they couldn't commit too many of their captured LY4A1's to this front, because they suspected they would come in handy[while Chelyabinsk is a Ghost City, Volya turned it into a fortress, taking advantage of the ammunition and vehicle depots on sight. They have there an unknown to them amount of armored vehicles and other heavy weapons. They also wanted to save ammunition, since the LY uses a 120mm round, while the Military's tanks use the 125mm.]
While they had lost a number of the Lyras designed vehicles at the bridge, they stood out in their protective capabilities against AT weapons and inter-tank communication. Aside from that one piece of fine equipment, they were, for the most part, under armed. They didn't want to use the common AKS-74, so they tapped the black market for a variety of NATO weapons. While they gave the advantage of accuracy at ranges over 300m, many of the guns very notoriously unreliable, with the bulk consisting of old L85's and Vietnam era M16A1's. Ammunition also became a problem; 5.56 ammunition wasn't produced in large quantities here, as the only rifles chambered for it were civil hunting arms. Many didn't bother with body armor, since the locally produced "black tipped" 5.45 ammo cut through Kevlar and ballistic plates like butter. They needed equipment, but unless they could purchase things with oil...

"Right" Said the Captain," Comms, send to that vessel, HMS Victory, This is GNS Manticore of the the Genii 3rd Naval Wing, Are aware if your intentions and have similar, Suggest it beneficial if resources combined"
The radio message resounded around the bridge. There was no response, as the ship was now returning to dock in Ustio.

As the RPG fired, Hon gritted his teeth. When he spotted the gunfire towards the RPG, he took advantage of his position, aiming towards the muzzle flash of the launcher and opening fire. These weapons were far from what he was used to, so he was sure some of his shots went wide, but he was adjusting quickly. He was surprised to see the privates were adjusting better, though they were taking more careful aim and attempting to snipe their targets, reflecting the more modern military training they had received.

I have been ordered to coordinate our military effort with your nation. We have information that is immediately pertinent to your ground operatives which we are relaying immediately.
Our soldiers are currently holed up in an airport terminal and under fire by hostiles. The local soldiers attacking them are using a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, so your soldiers are advised to approach with caution. The ground soldiers are also unfamiliar with the uniforms of your soldiers, thus you are advised to use the radio to notify them of your approach so that they may warn the local soldiers not to engage and that your people are friendlies. We are including both the radio frequency and the coordinates within the nation of their location.
Also, it is with regret that we inform you that, while we would prefer no harm come to our soldiers because of your's, we understand this situation may force your soldiers to put their lives over those of our soldiers. We hope that there is no fighting between them, but we understand your soldiers may have to do what is necessary to protect their own lives against forces shooting at them. All we ask is that, if this happens, we may have their bodies deported back to us for burial. Their deaths in that instance shall simply be attributed to the tragedy of the circumstances of war.

The bridge of the GNS Dactyl (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=567894) was bathed in a cool green from the many Stations dotted about it. The crew of the dactyl were often mocked for being as quiet as the ship, and Captain Doyle could see why at times like this, conversation on the bridge was a bare minimum, only need to know information being voiced quietly. With the water jets active the ship itself was quiet too.
"Sir" Said the XO, Commander Brend
"Yes Jim?"
"Report from the Manticore sir, the Fighter4u Carrier group has reached the mouth of the river. We are now cut off."
"Helm, Shut off water jets, all stations rig for full silent" the captain siad
"Aye Sir" Came the reply
"What are our orders sir?" Asked Brend
"Caprain Brenner has deployed 2 more Marine Commando Units into CP, one to link up with Fren's squad and the other to investigate an airfield"
"An airfield?"
"Yea, I don't know why, just that there was too much activity for it to be just another airfield."
"Sir. The radar-sonar buoy we deployed at the end of the river has it's next set activation in 1 minute" Said one crewman
To preserve stealth, the Dactyl had deployed a number of Bouys to ping every hour, so as the Dactyl herself did not have to activate her own radar or sonar and run the risk of detection. The risk was small, but present if the coming carrier group was as modern as the Dactyl.
"Data burst recieved, Fighter4u Carrier group has entered the river and halted in a defensive pattern, though they are ridiculously close together, the river isn't wide enough to spread out, one full barrage could cripple them."
The crewman halted, knowing he had gone to far in suggesting opening fire on a so far Neutral fleet.
The Captain stared at him for a moment, but gestured an Ok to the crewman. The entire crew had been on edge since the Dactyl had been moved by herself into the Chernobyl-Pripyat Sea earlier that day. she was to offer close range support to both Genii teams and Any allied teams deployed in the beleaguered nation, being the only stealth ship in the 3rd Naval Wing, she had no backup.

"Sounds like a real Firefight going on"
Master Sergeant Willis wasn't speaking to anyone in perticular but everyone took heed to the sounds of shots and explosions coming from the north.
His radioman, lance Corporal Gervheart came forward
"Sergeant, Charlie team has linked up with Alpha team in the capital, they secured transportation and are on their way here, no ETA given."
"Good, we're moving out, D formation, due North, Contact expected, HW to the centre"
The Dozen men of Bravo Squad formed up on the Master Sergeant in a staggered delta, with the heavy weapons in the centre. Bravo was a contact squad, unlike Alpha and Charlie, whom were meant for infiltration. They had inserted via helicopter less then 5 minuites ago yet already they knew that was the easy part.
Almost the second the Victory had turned about without a word Captain Brenner ordered their deployment. When they took off they had been ordered to secure a landing site on the banks of the interior sea, however a carrier group had approached, likely going to cut off the channel, and Bravo had been diverted to this airfield, where Intel apparently suggested foreign combatents were engaged.
In his years of service Willis knew two things, the Intel was always wrong, and never to ask where that Intel came from.
Fighter4u

Ceres Sea
The Fighter4u vessels splashed agaisnt the waves and fought their windy timeless ally as its beated against them. It was a mystical sight that was not soon to last.
The two groups
Carrier:
1x Carrier
1x Combined Operational Command Vessel
1x Heavy Battleships
2x Light Battleships
4x Destoryers
4x Frigates
3x AEGIS Class Ships
3x Cruisers
and the
Battlegroup
1x Dreadnought
4x Heavy Battleships
3x Light Battleships
6x Frigates
5x Cruisers
4x Destoryers
7x Corvettes
8x Landing Crafts.
The Fighter4u naval approach to warfare was always simple.Punch the enemy and punch them hard. The Carriers were usually used for noting more then a method of projecting power within the world oceans. But this time everything would change...
The fleets commanders were used to working together as a tag team. The Battleship group hitting the enemy well the Carrier group mopped up what was lefted. The same old same really. But this time they were fully aware of the intense pressure they were under not to screw up. Their ships previous commanders were all dead or rotting in state prisons.
Such, their plan was hatched quickly and effectivelly. The Fighter4u Carrier group entered the mouth of the river and halted while waiting for the Battleship group to catch up. Then a Heavy Battleship and Three Frigates adavnce up the river. Followed by similar ships. Their active sonar was turned on blast as their intentions were to make sure no enemy subs lurked below and to establise a presence. Soon the Carrier FFU Sunshine entered the Ceres sea along with its escorts. The Battleship group cut into two with The Landing Crafts, three frigates and a heavy battleship joining with the Carrier Group.
While the remaining Battleship Group came out of the river and formed a defensive pattern outside of the river mouth. Techinally the river was open but no submarine or ship could go through without being spotted or coming close enough to be blowed out of the water. Any unknown ships would be challenged and stopped. If a ship did not stop they would be blowned out of the water.
Mainwhile the corvettes, a destroy and two frigates were ordered to "survey" the river. A cruiser was order to watch the river that ran into this one. In this way any supplies coming to southern C-P were stopped. The Glory faction would soon find supplies would stop coming unless they "agreed" to work with Fighter4u.
Combined Operational Command Vessel:
"We been watching the area with satellites and we spotted a unknown vessel sailing the river up toward C-P that was identify as a military vessel. But with the next pass it was gone. This ship is a threat to us and our mission is to find it. The ship must be found and if needed. Destroyed."
Such, the fleet radar was turned on full blast and scouts planes were lanched off the carrier along with helicopters. To cover as much distance as possible the fleet spread out more but still close together just in case. After all, the Ceres sea was not that big.
"But remember our main task is to save our embassy staff so that they can not be used as hostages agaisnt us. As this seen to be a low key affair among the world nations then our operation will go unnoticed and we will win glory, honour and most importantly...our lifes."
Nobody noticed the three A/M/TH,two Ah-60s and a civilian helicopter that quickly took off from a frigate in the middle of all the chaos that was happening. They were armed to the teeth and had The Fighter4u Special Forces(better knowned as the FU F**kers) going for a ride to Chernobyl. No biggie right? The place is in chaos but what the worst that can happen?
With the helicopters going fast across the top of the waves with jammers blocking enemy radar. They quickly made their way onto C-P airspace and spilted up. Two Little Birds(A/M/TH) a NightHawk(Ah-60) flew to the west into the southern oilfields toward what has been idenifty as Glory stronghold. Once they were within a 100kms. The Carrier group out at sea sented the HQ a message
To:Glory faction
From:Fighter4u
We have arrived at The Cerea sea to find a nation in chaos and its people fighting to rule over each other. We too believe in the ideas that our motherland teaches to all. We wish to support you in your efforts to take C-P and restore it under a just true rule. To do that we have a Carrier & Battlefleet group parked in the Ceres Sea and rivers. To such control all tranportation to southern C-P. The entire sea and airspace is under control and all that passes by does so if we wish it to. We also have nearly 200,000 boots to back you up. Our firepower is beyound words. Should you work together with us. It shall benfit both of us greatly. If not you will lie with the rest who oppose us restoring law & order. In graves, deep massive graves..So think wisely and respond quickly as you can or we shall take action on our own and that shall be it.
Mainwhile the remianing two helicopters sped off towards Lipcilic. They hugged the ground until they hit the city. Then they sped in with jammers on blast and hit the embassy. As anti-air fire went off. Hellfire missiles responded and soon flames swepted the city section highlighting the seven FUSF rappoling off the LittleBird and onto the roof of the embassy. Where waiting embassy staff were quickly found and brought onto the roof. Then the civilian helicopter hit the roof and the Special forces guarded the embassy folks retreat as the enemy got ready to respond.

GNS Manticore, off the mouth of the river
"And I thought things were bad before" Captain Brenner was unusually pessimistic.
"Comms, send an encrypt to the D-N ( Departmento Navalis ), request Blackwater and dark clouds"
The blackwater and dark cloud naval wings were two of the most advanced and renowned Fleets in the genii navy. The Blackwater was new, 8 Dactyl class Cruisers and 16 Revanent Class corvettes, while the venerable Dark cloud Air Group consisted of a pair of Ferdinand class carriers and 10 or so Manticore Cruisers. Brenner had hoped not to call it in but the Fighter4u fleet was acting more aggressively then he anticipated.
"They do seem more Eager then we thought"
The Lieutenants voice interrupted Brenner Train of thought.
"Hmm. Yes, well we have done nothing wrong, the Dactyl has no more violated any laws than that fleet has. Still, I have seen fleets that get pushed together go at it too often then I would like. Still Doyle has always been one part seaman one part diplomat, that's why he got the most advanced ship going. He wont fire unless fired upon."
"Well they won't find them until daybreak that's for sure."
"Very true, When is first light?"
"An hour"
"Christ, I miss the old days, back when things weren't so complicated."

GNS Dactyl, Inside the Ceres Sea
"I think they picked up the sensor buoy sir" Called one of the radar monitors
"I figured they would, It'll have them looking in all the wrong places but come sun-up we're a black dot in a blue sea" replied Captain Doyle
"Contact 127, aircraft heading 344, they won't enter our detection area sir and the last two that did didn't see us anyway" The crewman continued
"Calm down, We don't have to worry till sun-up"
"Aye sir...just a bit tense is all"
Doyle slumped back in his chair in contemplation, trying to find a Dactyl Class in the Ceres sea was like trying to find a needle in a sports hall. Once Light was added to the equation the odds turned.
Another thought hit him.
"I think we may be being a little melodramatic Jim"
"Sir?" Replied the XO, looking slightly stunned
"Why are those ships here Jim?"
"I er...Suppose they have some interest in CP...Mabye troops, an embassy mabye?"
"Exactly, they sent out troop ships the minute they entered the sea"
"For support.."
"Exactly..and why are we here Jim?"
"To er..support the commando teams"
"Precisely the SAME reason they are here" The captain stood up " Oh I am a genius"
"Sir?" chuckled Jim
"We can come out of this barrel smelling like roses methinks"
"I can't say I follow"
The captains new optimism was infectious and for whatever reason, many of the crew on the bridge found themselves grinning widely.
"We Tell The FIghter4u fleet WHY we're here"
Silence.
The smiling faces quickly disappeared
"Sir I....I....."
"We have as much right to be here as they do"
"Even still sir they may see us as being in their way"
"So we give them something.."
"Like what?"
"It'll take hours for their troops to get to their embassy, but we already have teams in that area"
"Alpha and Charlie teams..I see where you are going with this..."
"We send those teams to support their embassy, and suddenly we're all friends out here"
The idea was radical, but was exactly what the new "Friend-Making" foreign policy was about.
"Sir", A young intelligence officer approached, "I have intel that the F4U embassy in C-P is under a siege of sorts, hostiles on patrol around the perimeter, no entry or escape. I would ETA Aplha and charlie team at less then 25 minutes drive from the embassy, but they are moving away at high speed so we need to be quick"
"Comms, route this through Buoy 6, and set the buoys vibration systems to max, make it look like a stealth ship,
Message reads: To Fighter4u Fleet from GNS Dactyl. We are in your AO, stealth, are supporting S-F team in C-P. S-F team is within range of your embassy and offers to provide assistance to your embassy which we understand to be surrounded. We request a NML be established between our fleets to assure no incidents. Broadcast replies on this frequency."
"Aye aye sir, sending"
"Oh and add one more thing.."
"Sir?"
"Add, Have a nice day to it"
"Yes sir" the crewman chuckled

"Command, we're under heavy fire, enemy has tanks, over"
"Copy, can you get an approximate location?"
"hold on" The radioman peaked out of the 3rd floor window, overlooking an undeveloped plot of land. He scanned for the enemy tanks, locating them after seeing they had the fascist flags up.
"Command, they are packed close together in the shopping district, fire shells with minimal dispersion, out"
Shortly after, the group of Msta systems, along with several heavy mortar carriers began shelling the designated spot. With most of the 153mm shells landing within meters of each other, a large number of the tanks were completely destroyed, along with accompanying enemy. forces.
"Command, targets are destroyed, out."
The Military forces hed up in that building advanced forward, killing any wounded enemies before taking a new fighting position. The combat in Lipovic was measured in the advance or retreat from city blocks. Large, empty spaces resulted in heavy casualties for anyone attempting to cross them.
"This is Volya squad 6, advancing on fascist position, requesting military chopper assistance, over."
"Negative, no air power as of yet available. ETA 30 minutes, special forces squad will arrive by choppers... Disregard that, Su-25's will be supporting in 5, paint the targets, out."
"Why hasn't the military brought in any significant armor?"
"Probably tied up somewhere else, but I know that they are planning an offensive against the fascists supply line. With the amount of manpower they've got here, it's probably not well guarded. Yanchesky, overwatch that housing complex across the street, they may have snipers. Feodr, paint that enemy position. Everyone else, Advance to that next complex."
Kombat, this is Alpha-Black-1, unknown aircraft hovering above some embassies, advise, over."
Ignore, for the time being, probably a rescue team for it's occupants. Status on Militsiya station?
Taken, enemy forces wiped out, supporting Volya squad decimated by enemy fire. We started up the power generator and are listening in on all available communication channels. Fascist's are critically low on ammo, they have lost most of their tanks to artillery fire and now lack communication with their headquarters, Volya's bringing in some armor from Chelyabinsk, Civil Guard lost a lot of men, and equipment, including several NSV machinguns on ZPU mounts, unknown aircraft blew up both Volya's and Glorys' AA guns, out

"So Lipovic is being shelled? Most of the occupants aren't even our own nationals! With any luck, other nations will put pressure on the nation of those ships."
"We'll radio for air support. Activate the city's Air Defense Systems, RADAR detected inbound aircraft, A-10's and F/A-18's. Activate the S400 systems, Make sure Tunguska units stay mobile, along with SA-13 trucks. have the Igla teams target any low flying aircraft, firing in volleys. That will reduce the effectiveness of their countermeasure systems. Those shells will kick up radioactive dust off the ground, so keep your masks close. See if the military can fire a Raven at those ships."
"Military HQ, this is Volya HQ, requesting anti-shipping support, and Raven. If their ships are in the river, cluster munitions will cause a lot of damage."
"Copy, we'll see what we can do."
As the enemy aircraft entered the city's airspace, they were met with automated flak and 23mm fire, and 9M311-1M missiles from mobile Tunguska-M1 units. S400's scanned and fired as they locked on targets. Since Chelyabinsk was originally designed as a complex fortress and fallout shelter, the majority of the infantry and armor was underground, giving the city the appearance of being devoid of life., save for small groups of fighters moving around firing their Igla-1S's at any low flying craft, in volleys as instructed.

Meanwhile, Genkji had managed to run straight to Vladimirov. She had taken off after being given orders by Forensathan central command, arriving with barely any breathe in her body. Tonight, she planned to sleep very, very soundly.
"Sir! We... have friendlies... Ustio North..." Genkji managed to wheeze out.

Somewhere between the oil fields and Lipovic
A Volya ambush team set up an attack point on the fascist supply line, and was receiving info from a scout.
"Ashtakov, the fascists have foreigners supporting them."
"Ok. Well, what's the status on the convoy?"
"Seven supply trucks, 3 of which have fresh infantry. it's escorted by a T-72 and a BMP. It should be by you guys soon."
"Copy, out."
"Okay, you all know the plan? Gubin and Puza will plant the explosives, Kot and Sidor will take the high ground and cover with machine guns, Voz, Retik and Kostyan will take out the armored vehicles. We want those ammunition trucks intact if possible. Remember, no survivors."
About 30 minutes later, the convoy came around the bend. Some of the freshies were nervous; they heard that in this area they had lost several convoys to ambushes, including one that cost the lives of 70 of their own.
The driver of the Ural truck at the front noticed the backpack on the side of the road. He suspected that it was an IED, and gained speed. He gave a sigh of relief when it turned out ot be an ordinary bag. Suddenly, he heard a low "thump", followed by an explosion that took out the engine and knocked him unconscious. A volley of RPG rounds hit the T-72, disabling it and causing a fire, while bursts of machine gun fire tore into the trucks carrying fresh fighters. A 4th RPG had destroyed the BMP at the rear, effectively stopping any chance of escape for the trucks. a handfull of fascist fighters who had escaped the trucks began firing their weapons frantically at the hill side, not knowing where the shots were coming from. They were armed primarily with FN FAL battle rifles and AKM's, and had little training for basic combat. As a result, they fired in long automatic bursts and stood out in the open, or bunched up behind the truck. After about 10 minutes, 3 fascist recruits remained. They know who attacked them, because through out the fight they could hear people yelling "Svoboda" among other things. They were out of ammunition, and it was too risky to run towards the ammunition trucks. They put their weapons on the ground, and walked out with their hands behind their head. from the hillside, a dozen or so fighters came towards them, identifiable by a patch with the Ukrainian flag with a radiation symbol in the center.
"Ashtakov! We got all the bastards, no survivors he- wait"
The soldier fired a burst into a wounded enemy, and stabbed another with his bayonet.
"OK, nothing breathing here. Kot really ripped these guys up with that machine gun. All 13 dead in that truck, and I finished ff the driver."
Another gunman and their leader were discussing what to do with the three that surrendered.
"What do we do about these three?"
"Kill them, we have no use for them. They aren't experienced enough to know anything, and I doubt that Glory even keeps our guys."
"Alright, You three, over here. Now!"
They quickly did as they were told, unaware what was going to happen.
"On your knees."
As they complied, they all got a burst of AKS-74 fire and tumbled to the ground.
"Bastards.." said one of the shooters, who then put an F1 hand grenade in the armpit of the executed soldier. They brought around some civilian trucks, one of which was formerly owned by a well known moving company "Moov-it". they loaded up the weapons supplies, mostly mortars and PKM belts, and left the scene. They had wrote down the communication frequency as to further listen in on supply routes.

OOC: Thanks.
IC: The skies over Chernobyl-Pripyat were quite calm this day. Conditions couldn't be more perfect for a HALO drop into enemy territory, and so far everything was going perfectly.
A jet at high altitude soared over the horizon, cutting across the sky.
Sergeant Uriel Imbrim fastened on the last of his jump gear, making sure it was held securely to hos body. Even the slightest mistake could cause a catastrophic error, which pretty much would ensure that he would die. He fastened on his equipment belt securely to his hip, and strapped his silenced ANG-77 Assualt Rifle (Angenterian copy of the QBZ-95) to his chest. He looked over to the rest of his squad, who were busy accomplishing similar tasks.
"Listen up." A voice buzzed into the comm-bead attached to the sergeant's ear. He instantly recognized the voice as that of Major Faust, his commander. "Your mission is for reconnaissance and information-gathering purposes only. Do not engage hostile forces if you cannot ensure the total secrecy of your mission."
"Yes, sir." Imbrim replied. "The mission comes first."
"Very good. We're nearing the drop zone now. Emperor be with you, Sergeant."
The voice cut out, and Imbrim turned, meeting the eyes of Corporal Lecharus, a member in his squad.
"Sir, the squad's all set to go."
"Very good, corporal, get ready to jump on my word."
"Yes, sir."
They all knew their mission, and why they were chosen. Their squad, Stormtrooper squad 017 of the Angenterian 301'st, had been chosen for their experience for operating for days in enemy territory, and being able to stay out of site, while still accomplishing their objectives. The squad was made up of 10 troopers, and could be split into two fire-teams of five members if the situation required.
"Green Light!" The voice over the plane's speaker system blared, and the cargo door in the back began to lower, exposing the outside world.
"GO!" Imbrim shouted, and led his squad, one-by-one, out of the plane, and into the nation of Chernobyl-Pripyat.

The team moved further into the Terminal. Harry spotted the man who had been described earlier, and stepped forward
"You must be Vladimirov" he said
"That is I." He said while loading loose cartridges into a magazine.
"You must be a rescue team for those foreigners, right? In the mean time, seal the doors on the first floor. After that, those people you are looking for are on the second floor."
Meanwhile, on the second floor one of the conscripts announced that a Military column was going to be passing through the area in the morning. He approached the group of people from the plane, and old them that that they had a possible way out.
"The column that's going to pass through will be passing by a major airport, we're pulling out of here then. It looks like they're planning to take Pripyat from the rebels, and restore some order there. I guess once we take the city, we'll be able to restore communications. On the way there there's a large airport that's operational, it's likely that you'll be able to get out via that."

"Lieutenant Harry Folsom, Ustian Royal Marines" began Folsom "I'm sorry, you seem to have got us confused with someone else - we're simply here to assess the situation". Bill tapped him on the shoulder
"Sir, command wants us to exfill a team from Forensatha while we're here"
Harry sighed
"Yes, that's us" he turned to the team "Well, you heard him - let's move"
They headed dowstairs, closing the doors and bolting them. Then, they headed back upstairs. Spotting a Forensathian flag on one of the soldiers uniforms, he went over to him
"You guys from Forensatha?" he asked

"You guys from Forensatha?"
Hon frowned as he looked up, hearing the words. They didn't recognize the soldiers, but... Well, obviously these people were not about to shoot them. They were also obviously not locals.
"Yes, we are," Hon answered. "I assume you're here to get us out?"
Hon was, unfortunately, not yet aware of the fact that they were from Ustio North... but, he wasn't about to shoot anyone who wasn't shooting at him. Especially not when they appeared to possibly be backup.

Lipovic airspace
The FA/18s came in high and they came in hard sweeping the skies for any enemy aircraft. Finding none they quickly began to target the city defensive equipment to destory it and such leave the city open to heavy bombing. The A-10s already warned of watching out for enemy small arms flew higher as they hit the unprotected enemy bombers and infanty units. Meanwhile the targetting systems of the navy shelling ships made sure that the planes could call in fire on suspected enemy fighters or AA postions. These shells made sure anything out in the open that was not friendly was soon under a hail of firepower.
But as it happens. Two bombers were shot down while a FA/18 was badly damage and had to return to the carrier quickly.
Mainwhile as this happened. Special forces units arrived in the city as they plotted the best points for attacking the city and to find the doors to the city underground fortress. They use listening epquiment, thermal imaging and radar to find the tunnels. As pure steel is cooler then ground and shows upon radar. These guys would blast their way through the enemy doors when regluar troops arrived. Mainwhile massive buster bombers were being ready to collapses certain parts of the fortess to bury or block the adanvce of the enemy forces.
Mainwhile the city people were given 72 hours to leave the city before the attack while embassys were being messaged with the offer of a airlift out of the city and onto a plane home.
Lipovic would fall. Both sides knew this would become true.
Southern C-P
As yet another supply convey disappeared. It was time to step it up a bit. Ah-60s were soon to start flying relugar protaols over the convery route while the conveys themself would travel in bigger numbers with much more protection. Like with Fighter4u tanks and marines guarding the conveys until smaller FOB could be made further up north. These were being quickly builded and contructed to withstand a large enemy attack. Bare wires, lighting, foxholes and all that. This would shorten the route vastly and such allow more protection to be sent over a smaller route.
But this was mostly for show to booast Glory morale as the attacks were to small to actually stop the supplies line as many more conveys made it through to Lipovic.

[ooc: Lipovic is the embassy city, and Chelyabinsk in the snow covered super-fortress ghost city]
Volya hideout
"We've now got a problem with ambushing those convoys. After that last one we decimated, the fascists have gotten their foreign freinds to assist in escorting them to what intelligence believes is a new FOB. The convoys appear to have gotten larger, and have air cover, alongside tanks."
"For now we change tactics. How long will out guys at Lipovic hold out?"
"At most, a week. Chelyabinsk came under attack, and at this rate the fascists will break through to the city."
"And the Military?"
"Right now they are for the most part in the north retaking some of the larger cities. We can't depend on them to fight off the attack."
"Well in the bunkers at Chelyabinsk we've got a little over 2 dozen tanks, along side a couple thousand infantry in the city. The cities AA systems should keep their aircraft away and the walls the enemy infantry out for a bit. It will probably be a siege, so if we can locate enough manpower, we could attack the fascists rear, or their base."
"I vote base. We destroy their comm. tower, and they wont have anything to take orders from. It's likely taht the Military will revert here once they've sufficiently pacified the capital. And if a blowout occurs soon, that will disrupt everyone's communications."
Chelyabinsk, temporary command post
Inside the basement of an abandoned hospital, the commanders of the Volya forces were plotting the operational plan for the coming battle.
"The enemy has lots of airpower, so it's risky to move the tanks above ground. Our AA systems have taken down a number of aircraft, however these need to be reloaded every once in a while."
"We could move the equipment through those tunnels?"
"I've sent scouts there, they said that some of the tunnels are blocked by old trains, and one leads to an old underground research facility. We'll be relocating command there. The end of that tunnel is closed via a large blast door, but it's operable. The issue is that it takes it pretty far from city limits, so armor support would be slower. On the other hand, id would come from the side."
"So it's settled, relocate command to the lab, move the bulk of the tanks into that tunnel, near the exit. Keep that door shut until we need it. Keep a small number here so we can keep their attention. tell the troops to take combat positions, and move through the metro system when possible."
----
Update: The military has launched a massive campaign to retake the larger cities and their suburbs, and eradicate rebel forces in the north. The Demokratsiya faction had gained more supporters, alongside their newly purchased equipment and are attempting to take the capital despite the Military's plans. This will likely result in an armed conflict between the two.

Lipovic
The three hundred thousand soldiers of the marines along side small squadrons of tanks slowly advance into the northern city in eight different directions in a steady adanvce as aircraft screamed above. Adanvce forces quickly engage enemy fighters, while engineers squadrons made sure any ruined tanks or rubble was quickly cleared as the army over over ran the defenders. Glory was attacking from the southern direction and it was expected the city would fall before the day settled into the night sky.
To make sure this happened. Fighters were ordered to bomb any building that had hostile fire coming from it to the ground and mustard gas was pumped into the city metro and swerage systems to stop gurllia attacks or soldiers from fleeing.
Soon, the big push would began.
Glory HQ
More ships arrived at the port of C-P. Despite the steady pour of equipment and aid. More came ships carrying supplies . But many more came hundreds of thousands of soldiers and tanks. In all nearly 560,000 combat troop began to offload on the Glory/Allied HQ. A HQ that was rapiadly becoming more guarded and adanvce then it would be without Fighter4u. Yet,noone seriously thought the army would attack this far south. Despite that relguar protaols were sent out every day regardless.
Urstania
12-10-2008, 09:55
Urtsania was a small socialist republic located in the eastern section of Chernobyl-Pripyat. It was officially Chernobyl-Pripyat territory with some representation in the central government. It had been experiencing some unrest for the last couple of months and the local government was worried about its position of power.
Over the years the people were becoming more aware of thier cultural identity and wanted more autonomy in Chernobyl-Pripyat. Violent portests erupted a couple of months ago.
With the recent unrest nation wide the Urstanian Communist Party was desperate to keep their monopoly on power.
Over the month the Urstanian Communist Party had pledged support to "Itself" and had kept out of the major fighting.
General Secretary Ivan Carac and Urstanian President Chovsky Metesk were to appear live on TV.
.......................................Urtsanian Tellevision.................................
Ivan was before the TV screen to the right hand side at a podium. Chovsky was standing to the left of him as well as 5 other senior party members
"Due to the recent breakdown of law and order and the unreliabilty and stability of the central government the Socialist Republic of Urstania is declaring independence from Chernobyl-Pripyat until stability is restored we can not think about re-unification talks"
"To the outside world and to forces fighting in Chernobyl-Pripyat, we want nothing to do with you. We are nuetral in the conflict and will not be dragged into it!"
The National flag of Urstania then appeard on the Tellevision.
The Red Hall, Urstania's parliament building the flag of Chernobyl-Pripyat was lowered from the rooftop and the Urstanian national flag was raised.
Within moments of the announcement thousands of people took to the streets in a celebratory mood. The Urstanian police were lining the streets incase the celebrations blew out of control.
However there were already violent clashes beginning Urstania was already home to over 3.1 million ethnic Chernobyl-Pripyat which made up 18% of the population. These nationalistic Chernobyl-Pripyat citizens living in Urstania were completely against the seccession.
Ivan and Chovsky made thier way back to red hall in thier black BMW's
"This might of been what we needed to prop up our popularity with our people" said Chovsky
"I swear we were inches away from being toppled last month!" said Ivan
"Well we survived and we will continue running Urstania into the future. Even if order is restored in Chernobyl-Pripyat could we ever hope to re-unite with them?"
"I doubt it. The people would hang us for sure.... Besides we no longer have to answer to the central government anymore, we dont have to answer to anyone" said Ivan.
..........................................................................................
Inside Red Hall in the center of Stimesk there were quite a number of issues the new independent Urstanian government had to address.
"Right Comrade firstly we really have no military units. Most of then fled or deserted to fight in Chernobyl-Pripyat, our military bases are occupied with Chernobyl-Pripyat generals or Urstanian Generals loyal to Chernobyl-Pripyat and are taking all of our military equipment back to Chernobyl-Pripyat. ah the situation is a big mess. Not to mention fanatics fighting on our territory but this is only taking place in the western provinces near the border. I'm afraid we only have policeman here with us" said Chovsky
"Well lets send them to the border, build a large barbed barrier and completely seal off. We will also need recognition from nations too to legitamize us as the new independent government of Urstania, I'm afraid we have no way of communicating with Chernobyl-Pripyat becuase right now I have no idea who is even in charge there.... Travelling there or sending people there is out of the question its far to dangerious there"

"Major, the small detachment in Lipovic was overrun. The fascists obviously have support from another nation."
"They will probably advance on Chelyabinsk next. Volya has a rather large base there, so it would seem logical. High command made a deal with them not too long ago. It would allow us to move freely through their territories, as long as we don't bomb their guys anymore. What's the status on the Capital operation?"
"Our men have advanced, but are taking lots of casualties. We've been able to raise our flag on several buildings, and we retook the power plant. Full communications should be up within 24 hours. We can now use our satellites so we should be able to find out rebel strongholds and hit them with precision."
The Colonel puts a folder on the Majors desk.
"Large enemy concentrations are confirmed in and near Lipovic. Volya is overrun, so and we only had a platoon of our guys there. You can also see that there's lots of activity by those oil fields, and if you ask me, we should cripple their operational capabilities in both places."
"What do you mean, a nuclear attack? most of the people in Lipovic aren't our citizens, and there's civilian settlements down in the south, not to mention that that would hurt our oil supply."
"We'll use the SS-23 system. they wouldn't have any defense against it, and the blast would within 100m of where it's aimed. Lukinova estimated a minimum of 700 civilians, and a maximum of 1,500 would be killed as a direct result. The nation will think that it was due to the weapons being captured."
"Hmm.. If we wait, the enemy will have the chance to regroup for an attack on the capital. Fire the missiles once we get new data on those enemy concentrations. Divert two Motor Rifle Regiments and a Tank Battalion to that theater, after the missiles hit."
"Oh, I almost forgot. One of our Semi-Autonomous Republics is attempting to break off because of this."
"Once this is more or less under control, pull in more reserves and solve it. We don't need another Chechnya situation on our hands like we did a few years ago."

[ooc: fighter4u, you use the Crookfur Arms T-14 MBT and T-12 heavy MBT, right?]
"The fascist rebels are being aided by the nation Fighter4u. We knows this because of one of their downed aircraft, and some people that were close to the southern areas. I did some research on what kind of equipment they use, and the weight of their tanks put them at a slight disadvantage."
"Continue"
"Many of our bridges cannot support the weight of their tanks, except for the Interstate river overpass, and the Graznei bridge. Any attempt to pass over the others would break them, since they have a 50ton limit. The lighter of the two is about 65. It's unlikely that they will attempt to ford the river at this time of the year, because of ice."
"So in other words, it will take them some time to navigate to Chelyabinsk?"
"Yes, and they'll be forced to travel in columns. Su-39 attacks will be very effective, especially if Volya can tie up or destroy their mobile AA guns."
While the two were talking, a 3rd high ranking officer delivered some news.
"We've retaken the capital. I was also told to deliver this recon data."
One of the men takes the folder and looks over it's contents.
"Have the Spiders ready to fire. Once thats done, get the 58th Army on standby and prepare for a full advance on the remaining forces, then advance on the remains of the oilfields. Further more, have the 22nd and 78th Motor Rifle divisions on standby to deal with the Urstania situation."

"Any word from Chernobyl-Pripyat?" said Chovksy
"Well... No But I doubt who ever is in charge is just going to let us slip away.... anything we can do to ensure we can survive this?" said Ivan
"All we can do is sit tight. we said once order is restored we would open up with talks on 're-unification' when someone is in firm control we will enter into those talks. What comes out of those talks.... we will just have to see"

"Just one of them, so we'll have the rest of the security force consist of MVD personnel. They'll be moving out shortly."
The total number of forces arriving would be as follows:
700 OMON solders[MVD] w/troop carriers[Ural-4320, BTR-80, BMP-1R, the riot suppression variant]
400 Motor Rifle forces w/troop carriers[BTR-80A, BMP-2]
3 T-80U
1 T-80UK [Op. Commander's tank]
6 T-72BM1
2 Gaz-66 radiotruck
2 Ural-4320 Fuel truck
4 Gaz-66 medical
5 ZIL-131 munitions trucks
"Once you get there, enact martial law. Secure the border checkpoints if you have the chance, and call for backup only its completely necessary."

Updates:
Fighting in the outskirts of Pripyat became fierce, as both the Democracy rebels and the military units garrisoned there began to run low on ammunition. The rebels controlled most of the larger buildings, and were dug in in several surrounding suburbs. Engineering teams had restored power to the capital and areas that saw little or no conflict.
Special Forces teams are conducting mop-up operations in the capital and surrounding areas, and the military is preparing for a large offensive against rebel positions in the south and western parts of the nation.

Lipovic/OilFields
Everything was just another average day in the war as troops perpared for the daily activitys of war. When missiles began to show up on the long range radar. The base quickly responded with their counter measures. The MAF-40 Punisher Air Defence Vehicle (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=42) gather the target locations from other radars and inputted it into their computers. Then when the missiles came within 40km the MK1031 radar began tracking it and when it hit 20km the SAM7C SHORAD missiles fired at the incoming missiles and destory the majortiy of them. One or two that slipped through were destroyed by the 40mm CTA revolver guns when they entered within 5km. All in all this only took a few seconds and the threat of missiles was over.
Now it was time for fighter4u to respond. Sataillies quickly put down Triste as the location of the missiles lanchers. So in return fighter4u Bandit MLRS (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=47) and the Long Shot Heavy MLRS (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=46) using prerecord targeting fired at known enemy garriscions, powerplants, water systems, communcations towers, military airbases, airports, railways, government buildings and military HQs with thousands and thousands of rockets and missiles. If the enemy wanted to fight a cowardly war,fighter4u was more then up to the task of fighting back.
Lipovic
Mainwhile in Lipovic the city was well under way to being cleaned of any damages it took during the fighting and the people were allowed to go about their daily life. Absent were the flags of Chernobyl-Pripyat and in place were White flags With a Black C-P on them with a fist below the letters. These flags were the flags of the C-P fascits. The rightful government of Chernobyl-Pripyat. But make no mistake their was fighter4u soldiers at the checkpoints that control who came in or out of the city and those were fighter4u tanks in the center of the city intersections. Most Lipocicians were just gald the fighting were over and while many may disagree with the current rule. They had to be thankful that fighter4u stop the fasicts from looting or burning the city. Heck beside the added defenses that were being setted up,the place looked like it always did in peacetime. Besides all the empty embassys anyway. Fighter4u has allowed them to leave and many did.
In the center of the city under heavy guard was the new HQ of the invasion force. Their the leaders discuss the latest happenings.
"Urstania has delcared indepence from C-P,and many of it military forces belonging to Chernobyl-Pripyat are leaving without being opposed. This is a threat to us."
"Well then order aircraft to bomb any military units that attempt to make it back to Chernobyl-Pripyat terriroty. Also lanch raids on their military bases and destroy what forces are lefted their. We will not have another force attempt to attack us from the rear. Sent a message to the leaders of Urstania delcaring that if they don't turn over any generals loyal to Chernobyl-Pripyat we can't proimse their safetly. But should they do so we will proimse them their indepence from Chernobyl-Pripyat and guard them from any Chernobyl-Pripyat attacks."
Fighter4u Carrier
Su-37 Terminators,FA/18s and FA/18s took off from the carrier deck and quickly flew towards the Urstania borader where they attacks conveys of militry troops & equipment leaving Urstania. Afterwards they flew into Urstania airspace and bombed preplanned targets which were mostly Urstania military bases or communcations towers. Any planes that attempted to engage them were quickly swarmed by missiles. Fighter4u wanted to make sure Urstania could not posed a threat to them and they would keep attacking any vital parts of Urstania that may posed a threat to them if needed. But they made sure to limit the damage to only military targets.
After the bombing run the planes return to their carriers and refueled.
Lipovic HQ
Now that they are no longer a threat. We can fousc on what is really important. The invasion of Triste! Those missile attacks, those easily stop, are a threat to any seige that we lay on Chelyabinsk! As such it must be taken quickly and with the most hast possible. The military is a big threat and we must destroy them. As such have planes drop military aid to the Democracy rebels to tie up opposing military forces. Also I want them blinded, their satatillies are a problem that must no longer extist!!
Space
Fighter4u had to stop the military from using commucation or military sateillies so Fighter4u for the first time ever decided to use their space weapons to "kill" Chernobyl-Pripyat sateillies. Using their boosters fighter4u Killers Sateillies move close to C-P sateillies and lanched small misslies(Balls of metals that on impact would destroy the sateillies,or use lasers to blind the sateillies and then move their own sateillies in to kill the enemys by blowing up nearby and such destroying them that way. Neverless the result would be the same. The death of any C-P sateilles operating in space.
The Road to Chelyabinsk
Special forces cagro planes filled the skies while hundreds of land based aircraft offered fighter protection from enemy aircraft.Y-25C JSFs (http://acecombat.wikia.com/wiki/Y-25C_JSF) and Su-37 Terminator (http://acecombat.wikia.com/wiki/Su-37_Terminator) provided cover.
Thousands of these highly trained men stepped out into the sky as one before pulling their pharacutes and landing near every single bridge on the river between Lipovic and Chelyabinsk. They fought any oppostion they found and then checked to see if the bridges were rigged to blow. After removing any such devices they radio back to HQ and gave the all clear. As the cagro planes returned to base. The great invasion force began to cross the river with the heavier tanks and veichles(like the Crookfur Arms T-14 MBT and T-12heavy MBT or the CFAM LMRV39 Kudu IFV crossing the Interstate river overpass, and the Graznei bridge and the lower ton tanks and veichles crossing the smaller bridges. As this happened, enemy aircraft adanvced and soon a great dogfight took place as hundreds of fighters engaged while the tanks crossed below.
Mainwhile fighter4u MAF-40 Punisher Air Defence Vehicles and Jager AA CFAM LAFV23 Jager IFV

The invasion force for the most part bypass Chelyabinsk. It was a fortress and a assult would be costly in manpower and time. But with the majortiy of the enemy forces underground. They would have to come out if they wish to do any harm to the 150,000 men, tanks and air defense and offensive veichles that would lanch daily assualts on the city AA defenses, water supply, power supply, sewage system, factorys, communcations systems, tunnel entances, factorys, railways, crossroads or intersections. Anything above ground would be spotted by drones and if they didn't kill them with hellfire missiles the Scoundrel Light Self propelled gun system (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=6) or the Long Shot MLRSs or the Bandit MLRS or the CFAM LAFV23 Jager IFV or the Jager AA. Along with some T2C3 Koshi 3 Amphibious tank (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=9) and T-14 MBTs & T-12 heavy MBTs.
This made sure that the seige would never let up,couldn't be destroyed by enemy aircraft and if the enemy wanted to engage them not only would they have to come out of the city but they would be destroy while doing so and what was left would be quickly mopped up.

"We first want to tell you that we are not a threat of anykind and we wished to remain nuetral in this conflict. It looks like niether side can properly guarentee our survival. We do not want to take sides and we are not helping any side. If loyalist Generals and military units from the crumbling central government flee then we have no desire to stop them. We dont want to enrage Chernobyl-Pripyat by firstly declaring independence and then helping its enemies. If anything we would just like to slip out quietly without harm and still live to see another day. "Reactivate the nations AA defense systems and radar. That should tie up any of their aircraft in the air. Begin air sorties immediately. Use the Tu-160M's to launch tactical missiles at their concentrations, revert the operations against the rebel positions to our new guests.. Also, get the Topol-M's on standby."
"The Urstania operation?"
"..Mostly comprises of police, it will continue."
With that, all of the countries AAD systems went online, and S400 missiles began locking and firing on enemy aircraft. X-02A stealth fighters began sorties, searching for bombers and fighters alike, alongside Su-35 and MiG-31's. A number of Tu-160M were being prepped, and would quickly strike the areas that the missiles failed to hit with tactical missiles from it's internal rotary launcher, and external missiles.

The enemy column was soon to proceed thorough the area. Volya "Special Forces", using stolen Javelin AT systems and Kornet launchers, were waiting for them to fall into their trap. The road briefly passes between two mountains, so they mined the ditches on the side of the road, and waited for the column to enter. Once enough were in, they would take out the lead vehicle along with the furthest one back, and roughly 10,000 regular fighters would open fire from their dug in positions in the surrounding mountain sides. In case of chemical attack, they had NBC equipment.
Further away, cleverly hidden inside an abandoned industrial sector, were several 2S19 "Msta" SPG's. They would fire the potent Krasnopol guided munitions after getting locks from the special forces members.

5km from lake Yantar
An Army special forces team had been tracking rebel movement for the past few days. Several small factions, alongside prominent leaders of the fascist movement were meeting at a farmhouse near the town of Treneska for a possible meeting to join forces. The barn to the right had a large weapons cache, mostly grenades and rockets, and was a primary target. Origianlly, the plan was to get close to the house and throw grenades inside, but the arrive of a T-55 changed things. The group hadn't brought any AT weapons with them, however the they could pick off the crew with their rifles, since the AS Val had little muzzle flash, much less a report. It was approximately 5 A.M.. Time to get to work. The morning fog from the lake was eerie, as they made their way to their assigned positions. At exactly 5:06, they would pick off the tank crew, who was chatting out side of their tank. The tank commander was away, probably taking a leak, but the loader and driver were sitting on the top of the turret, and the gunner with the hatch open. Once the time came, the commandos fired their weapons. Not a sound was heard, except for a faint 'thud'. as one of the tank crew rolled off the tank into the grass. The commander returned, and met the same fate as the others. The RPO-M team was now in place, and fired the thermobaric weapons into the house, and int the barn which resulted in many a cook-off of ammunition. Many of the attendants of the meeting fled from the house, and were being picked off as they ran for cover. One of the Spetsnaz had an AEK-999, which is basically a PKM modified with a sound suppressor. He began firing bursts at the scattering enemy, while the marksmen near by took potshots at fleeting targets.
After they thought it was clear, they searched the area closely, finishing off the enemy's wounded, and locating documents. A few minutes later, one of them recovered a damaged laptop, several PDA's and a flashdrive. after calling in extraction, who was waiting in a nearby suburb, they put grenades in the tank barrel, so it wouldn't be operable.

Veblensk [a suburb of Naszran]
An MVD platoon was conducting an operation of high importance. A large number of rebels were garrisoned here, and using the town as an operations base. Civilian casualties would be at a minimum, since most fled when the rebels showed up.
"Scout team, what do you have?"
"Heavy concentrations at city hall, at least 70 fighters. Total numbers area around 120. They have several BMP's and a dug-in T-72"
"Copy, paint the tank. Out."
The reconnaissance team, positioned in the bombed out hospital had a good view of the area and targeted the parked tank. Because of the tanks Shtora-1 system, an alarm went off inside the tank alerting everybody on the ground.
"Kombat, lock failed. Protection systems. Targets are aware now, orders?"
"Stay put. Aircraft will strafe the streets"
A few minutes later, a pair of Su-39 attackcraft flew overhead, while dispensing flares to disrupt any possible Igla missiles. On the second pass city hall was hit with a burst of 30mm cannon fire, and several 80mm rockets, while the second plane took out the T-72 and visible BMP. This was the "go ahead" for the platoon to advance. The sniper team quickly took out the prepositioned rebel sharpshooters and kept a machine gun team pinned.
"Break into squads, 3rd squad takeout those remaining BMP's. 1st and 4th push forward!"
After a 3 hour battle, MVD forces were able to suppress the enemy, though withstanding a 68% casualty rate. Originally they intended to capture the leader alive, but one of the 30mm rounds from the aircraft took his legs, and he went into shock and died before the fight was over. A small number of rebels who had surrendered were executed before the MVD called in a regular military unit to sweep the area.

"Major, what is the report?"
A former MVD Major, who recently had switched into the military, began to explain the situation on hand.
"Well.. We've taken most of the city, a few pockets of resistance are dug in and around the foundry, plus in the eastern side of town. Your boys have the situation here under control."
"That's good. And yours?"
"Mine are sweeping the villages in the county side. We've also got Veblensk under control. We have to guad those refugee camps heavier then usual, the enemy have been attempting to recruit from them. I had personally shot several "recruiters" the other night."
A third high ranking officer entered the makeshift command center with some documents.
"General, we've got most of the nation under our control, except for the southern parts. Rebels have been purged from Pripyat and the surrounding area, and that shipment of tanks arrived in the north."
"Got it. Return to duty, dismissed."

GNN Report
"... Next up, field reporter Alyssa Ashcroft will report on the situation in Chernobyl-Pripyat. For those of you who haven't been following, that nation has been in civil war for the past month."
A commercial for a famous oil company plays, followed by sever miscellaneous others.
"We're back, and continuing with the previous story.."
The broadcast switches to a women in her mid to late 20's, wearing a heavily mud stained military uniform, with a bright blue flak jacket and helmet, with "PRESS" written in large white letters in both English and Cyrillic.
"I am Alyssa Ashcroft and I'm reporting from near the city of Lipany, where military forces have engaged with separatist rebels for the past 30 hours. The city has so far been under intense shelling and almost nonstop air strikes, yet the military forces haven't been able to gain any ground. Th-...."
The reporter then become inaudible due to a T-80UD firing it's main gun at an apartment block inside the city, out of range of small arms. The cameraman pans to a building with a room that appears to now be in flames. The anchorman on the main station was startled by the loud noise, and asks what it was.
".....That was a military tank. I just received word from some soldiers that it would be best to move to a different location. As you can tell, this country gets unusual weather. It begins to snow in October and is raining almost all year."
The camera shows several BTR-80 speeding through the muddy street to deliver reinforcements, while several trucks with wounded pull out.
"Earlier today I interviewed some locals from a nearby village..."
The footage is played, after several fast forwards and rewinds. The footage starts by showing a destroyed village, and several children playing on an abandoned Zastava Koral. Meanwhile, there are several adults inspecting the damage to the town hall, which had been hit with shell fragments and a section of roof caved in.
The reporter interviews one of town elders, who was an immigrant from Poland. He spoke OK English but poor Russian. They were conduncting the interview while he was feeding his dogs.
"What can you tell me about whats going on here?"
"Several weeks ago there was some kind of accident, and a series of bombings. One day some bad people come to village and tell us to leave, or else." They came back and occupied town hall and hospital. For next few days, nothing happens. Nothing happened until they put a big gun on roof of hospital and shoot at helicopters. Helicopters fired rockets at big gun, but hit hospital as well. Bad people try using it as propaganda to recruit fighters, and some young people join. They go and shoot at militsiya outposts and steal things. Eventually Military come and blow up hospital with tanks and bombs, and kill most of bad people. Younger people who joined them stayed hidden. One night Military come back and break down door and start yelling in Russian, and searched home. They do this at same time in other houses, so I get dressed and watch though window. They have several people with bags over heads, and beat them with rifles until they move. The soldiers then take them to side of market, and I hear many gunshots. Afterward, soldiers comeback to town square and talk to mayor.
The camera shows a patch of snow next to a food store with black stains, and there are several bullet casings laying around.
"Do you think the military is helping you?"
"They keep bad people away. Mayor says they have not come in long time since then. Airplanes still fly over village though, scare my dogs."
Alyssa then interviews the mayor of the village, who was cleaning his desk of old papers and other junk.
"How do you feel about the military sweeping the countryside?
"To be honest, I'd rather have an international force such as the WA do that job. Several weeks ago after the army killed a ton of rebels here, they came back in the middle of the night, some of which were clearly drunk, and grabbed a few young men, saying they were rebel fighters and shot them by market square. Of the 5, I know at least 2 of them were associated with those bandits, but the others were innocent."
"So you're saying that they aren't acting in the peoples best interest?"
"Basically. I mean the secret police would grab people off the street sometimes, but they'd usually be back before nightfall. When the military does it, you rarely see the people again. I've heard that sometimes they'll dress them up in a military uniform, take them to where ever they're fighting, and have them run down the street, and use them to bait snipers. This is filming right?"
"Yes."
"Make sure you show it, I want people to know about this."
After the tape was done rolling, the crew had apparently relocated to a hill away from that field they were originally in. The sky suddenly lit up as more rocket salvos made their way to the city.
"Basically, you can see that the situation here is degrading, despite what some skeptics say."

[ooc: Gibberish, you can just move your guys in whenever, I still don't have a real government yet]
Earlier today, Kolgujevska
Following public support, the president of Kolgujevska was to hold a press conference declaring independence.
"My friends. Today is the day we reclaim our cultural identity from the shackles of socialism. Today we follow the path of our brethren in Urstania and free ourselves from foreign rule."
After that first part of the speach, the crowed went wild.
"Now, we cannot assume that the socialists in Chernobyl-Pripyat will let us go this easily. They recently sent military forces to put down a peaceful protest in Urstania. For this, I ask that all members of the National Guard report for duty. We can only hope that they do not incite a conflict. I call upon all nations of the world to welcome a new democracy to the world scene."
The next morning
The highway connecting Chernobyl to Donet'sk is one of the largest in the country, and usually had large amounts of traffic until recently. On the Kolgujev side of the border, just a few kilometers from the highway and Donet'sk, the Ch-P military had a permanent garrison with a company of 70 soldiers stationed there at all times. At about 8 a.m., a large mob of Kolgujevs alongside a National Guard unit wanted to force them out. They had several T-72 tanks to spearhead the assault on the building, and enough people to easily overrun the place.
Before the guard at the gate could turn on the intercom, a tank shell destroyed the gate. The troops inside quickly prepared for battle and began shooting at exposed Kolgujev riflemen and militiamen alike.
"Valyrov, get to the communications room and call for help!"
"Sir, one of the tanks are approaching the gate!"
"Everybody take cover!"
As they took cover the tank fired into a second floor window, killing 3 and wounding at least 6. Meanwhile, in the communications room, the soldier was able to send a message out to HQ.
"HQ, this is Donet'sk, we are requesting immediate reinforcements, the Kolgujevs have declared war, over."
Those few seconds everyone's heads were down gave enough time for several militia men to enter the building. They as they entered the foyer they sprayed bullets into the rooms they came across, but as they entered a hallway were gunned down.
By 1 p.m., the building was overrun and it's occupants were either captured or killed. The Kolgujevs would later use it as propaganda sayimg that the militiamen killed were actually civilians and the military unit was sent to put down the insurrection.
near the Kolgujev border
"So what are we to do about the situation next door? They've killed at least 60 of our men."
"We need to retake those missile silos and secure the chemical weapons they have. We'll dispatch a special forces team to do that task, and mobilize troops to retake the land. We know where all their AA systems are, so we'll first hit them with missiles. once those have hit, aircraft will strike their military bases and the central bridge. While this is happening, the Special Forces teams will deploy via helicopter and take the Topol silos and the chemical factory. Two Motor Rifle brigades will move in, and the 104th VDV regiment of the 76th Guards will deploy to their western border and attack from there."
Chernobyl-Pripyat
30-10-2008, 08:30
The operation's planning was falling into place quickly. Once the SS-23 systems, firing conventional warheads launched, the Su-39's would hit their targets. The motor rifle forces would then proceed to advance, while the paratroopers began their transport to their destination. The GRU Spetsnaz would take mobilize as soon as Kolgujevs AA systems were out of commission.
The new Kolgujev president was giving another speech. in fact, he really liked the sound of his own voice and was talking about how they were supposedly exploited as a nation. The crowed noticed six or seven things fly overhead, followed by a far off explosion. At first they thought they were fireworks, but when aircraft flew overhead and bombed a near by Army base, they quickly realized what was going on and panicked. Similar air strikes occurred elsewhere, hitting an airbase pretty hard alongside several fuel stations, a weapons factory, the Central Bridge[a vital route of transportation] and the main power plant. In the mass confusion of the initial attacks, they failed to see the Ka-60 helicopters fly in around the country, a dozen in total, and deploy special forces to capture the nuke silos. They were ordered to kill every inside and report back one they were secured. Now the ground forces would advance. The initial planning of the ground assault had changed, as the general in charge had rethought the amount of troops they'd need. They would now move in with 4 times more troops and hundreds of supporting tanks. The VDV commando's plan hadn't been altered, save for an artillery platoon added to their group.
The terrain in the north eastern part of Kolgujevska was relatively flat, so the armor and troop transports quickly made it into their territory. The south, however had massive forests, and a short cliff that needed to be worked around. The northern groups attack would definitely buy them some time. The Kolgujev military had finally gotton itself into gear, and mobilized a number of troops to old the capital on other key cities. They had deployed their most capable tanks into Donet'sk, though they were M84's that hadn't been upgraded because of the countries former semi-autonomous status. They weren't being forced by the SRChP higher-ups to upgrade their stuff. The SRChP's T-72BM1's had a massive advantage during the night time, due to new night and thermal sights, and new DU ammunition. The Kolgujevs did have Western communication systems, however. Their infantry could communicate directly with tanks and HQ.
The SRCP tanks advanced forward, spearheading an assault into Donet'sk while gunships hovered overhead, scanning for targets. When they were several kilometers from city limits, the Mi-28N pilots notified the tanks that they had spotter enemy armor and troop movements. The gunships began to engage mobile AA systems and troop concentrations, while the armor advanced on the enemy.

"They can sweep nearby villages for rebels. In the meantime, revert all nearby units to sweeping the mountains."
---------------------
The tank breakthrough was so far going as planned, save for several tanks temporarily disabled by enemy tank fire and mines. When they broke through the dragons teeth field, the infantry in the BMP's dismounted and tagged along behind their carriers. The T-72BM1's began to open fire on the dug in M84's The depleted uranium ammunition easily punched through steel, and the tanks that had entrenched themselves didn't stand much of a chance. After the Kolgujevs realized this, they made a change in tactics. The tanks were to keep mobile and only fire when they had a clear shot, though their best chance of scoring a kill was to attack from the sides or rear.
On the opposite side of the country, the VDV had landed smoothly and were proceeding to Slavytych to attack a military base and make sure the Central bride was down. Their BMD-2's and 3's were in a sense light tanks; they're meant for transporting the paratroopers and provide fire support against enemy infantry. When they arrived, a recon squad went ahead the treeline and set their coordinates. Within minutes they had several towed artillery pieces set up and mortars, plus a Nona-S. When they were full and ready, they began shelling the base. Two infantry squads moved and entrenched themselves at he treeline in case of an infantry attack. After several minutes of shelling they would advance onto the base.

"Everybody dismount and sweep the area in groups of 3, detain any suspicious individuals, and don't forget to search basements, and attics if applicable."
Major Andropov went to the BTR with the USGA commandos.

"Missile strikes failed, and a number of our satellites are destroyed. Next course of action?"

50km from Graznei bridge

In the southern side of town, the MVD began sweeping. Groups of three would approach individual homes and kick open the front door, and search the home.
"Kombat, this is south. All homes are clean, moving to next block."
Suddenly sporadic shooting could be heard on the western part of town.
A rebel sniper team had open fired on a the squad which was assigned to search this sector, and had so far taken out over half of them.

The artillery from the camp began to shell the foot of the mountain in attempt to destroy enemy emplacements.
A squad supported by two BTR-80A's moved in on the decimated squads position, using the carriers as cover.
When they were near a pair of survivors, they were using an old car as cover. The ground near the dead MVD officers were covered in shell casings, as they poured rounds into the nearby apartment building. The two that were visible were pointing at the 4th floor of the apartment block.
When the APCs moved in to rescue the survivors, who were scattered, 4 in all, they sprayed the 4th floor with 30mm cannon fire. This had killed one of the snipers, who was taking aim with an RPG-22 at one of the APCs. The building began to catch fire, causing it's occupants to scatter in the street.

The T-80UDs were rolling in to assist the joint MVD-Delta Force troops in the mountains. An Mi-35 flying low to the ground unleashed heavy rocket and cannon fire on the rebel positions, possibly killing a dozen or more. As the artillery strike devastated enemy mountain positions, one mortar crew remained with enough ammo to take care of the rest of the company in the village.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Rexton spotted a mortar position some distance away. He told the sergeants, "Cover my back! I've spotted some mortars that's causing problems for the MVD. I'll snipe them from here and hopefully this thing does the trick."
"Good. I'll talk to the drivers of one of those BTRs to stop firing on that apartment building so they won't have to keep pinning us down!" Lau radioed the BTR drivers saying, "All BTRs, continue firing on that apartment until it's clear! We're gonna use it as cover while we snipe some mortar operators!"
He let loose with the KSVK, wasting the mortar crew. As that was going on, Komanov and two squads attempted to evac some MVD officers that were wounded. As a T-80 rolled by, Komanov told the driver to stop so they could provide cover for the wounded officer. He yelled out to the squad, "I need a medic over here!"
He looked down at the officer. "It's OK, buddy. We'll save you."

"South's BMP is heading our way, we'll rearm from there"
"HQ, tell the BMP's to stay mobile, they have launchers."
Once the BMP arrived, it moved close to a house to shield it from possible AT weapons. The squad leader told the commander of the vehicle that they needed cover to get their wounded and the machine gunners from the basement.
It rolled slowly through the muddy street, with the occasional bullet ricocheting off of it. as the MVD soldiers began getting their men out of the shelter, the BMP fired off several bursts at exposed rebels, maiming several. Once the wounded were in the BMP, the squad leader told them to pull all the way back.
Once it was buttoned up, the remaining MVD forces continued to exchange fire.

5th Company's CH-53s dropped three M551 Sheridan tanks into the war zone as the side gunners opened minigun fire on rebel positions, potentially creating high rebel casualties. The T-80s rolled up the muddy streets as the USGA commandos stayed at their flanks, using the rubble and cars as cover. Staff Sgt. Near Lipovic, former embassy city
While the military was tied up in other locations, the fascist factions had time to rebuild their defense. Their operations further north had ceased, after several of their leaders were killed in an attack.
The military, finally having the resources to do so, planned a deep strike operation. They would strike both Lipovic and the southern oilfields, while paratroopers descended on the hillsides to mop up any retreating forces. They would have long range artillery support and air cover, which would surely panic the under supplied forces at Lipovic. The oilfields would likely be an intense battle, though the enemy wouldn't have anywhere to retreat to.

Rexton, kept his sniper rifle but his main armament now was an AK-74M. The gun was reliable, just like its predecessor, the AK-47. He had been trained to use Soviet weapons along with NATO and US weapons, but he preferred the Russian guns, as they had a reputation of being reliable. As Echo platoon moved up the flanks, the platoon leader had received a message from USGA high command about a war between the country's rival Novistrana and another communist power, Kayeliya. The government supported neither side, but rumors had reported the Army would reassign Echo platoon to Kayeliya.

As the Mountain troops moved uphill, the rebels began to open fire with a variety of weapons. "A" Platoon had taken cover and began to exchange fire, enabling "C" and "D" to advance without an issue. Because of the angles that they were shooting at, neither side took casualties immediately, until "C" and "D" were able to get the the rebels sides, and open fired on the exposed forces. When the rebel gunmen were dead, the platoons regrouped for the attack on the plateau.

The Gibberish American government initially showed a neutral stance towards Glory, but as time passed, the USGA high command could not accept the fascist presence so close to a liberal nation's embassy. The airborne forces brought in to help C-P forces at the oilfields consisted of a tank battallion commanded by Lt. Col. At day break the advance would begin. Several batteries of BM-21's and BM-30's would launch several volleys at Lipovic [embassies have bomb shelters], and Su-39 aircraft would strike AA emplacements and enemy armor.
As soon as the time came, the morning sky lit up with rockets flying into the city. The rockets killed dozens of fascist rebels, who had been expecting an attack any day now, hadn't thought it would be during the day time. The dead for the most part had been out in the open, or were inside buildings sleeping.
Shortly following that, the advance began. Hundreds of fairly new BTR-90, BTR-80 and BMP-3 advanced towards the city, supported by 150 T-90A, T-72BM1 and T-77 tanks. Dozens of Hind's flew overhead, occasionally picking of AT gun emplacements far off with ATGM's.
The fascist rebels did hae a number of tanks, and had kept them hidden from the initial air strikes by hiding them inside derelict buildings. They had only 5 T-80U tanks in Lipovic, with an additional 70 assorted tanks in the oilfields, mostly T-62's. Their armor were identifiable by a bright blue stripe painted over the top.
When the massive formation got close to Lipovic, the enemy T-80U's rolled out and prepared for battle. The rocket barrage had destroyed alot of buildings, the their infantry didn't have many places to shoot from, and several weapons caches were now buried in rubble.
Meanwhile, large numbers of paratroopers, who had deployed the night before, were in dug in positions in ambush of any reinforcing or retreating forces.

Kolgujev capital, Donet'sk
After a 160 hour nationwide battle, the SRCP flag rose over where the capital building had once been. They now controlled everything north of the river, and had forced the Kolgujev military to the river, where they had sustained the most casualties attempting to cross while under heavy fire. The SRCP military had thus secured the nuclear missiles stationed in country through a poorly planned, yet successful attack before they could have been used against the SRCP. The borders would now be adjusted, and the former Koljujev SSR would be halved in size.
days later
"General, we've purge their forces out of the northern areas, and forced them into the southern areas."
"Good. We won't advance any further. They won't be making a counter attack any time soon. Have the casualty reports come in yet?"
"Yes, in total we lost close to 1,700 troops. Equipment wise, we lost 15 tanks, at least 30 BMP-2 vehicles, 4 helicopters, and an attack aircraft.
We, however inflicted massive damage to their armed forces in the initial heavy missile strikes, totaling around 5,000 by hitting bases alone. The same attacks destroyed most of their air force and dozens of tanks, which resulted in them putting the reserve tanks in front line service. An additional 3,500 died at that bridge crossing."
"Wait, how large was their military?"
"While it was under our jurisdiction, it was around 200,000, but their presidents "Westernization" plan decreased it to peace time numbers of 50,000, with the rest being national guard. Their NG wasn't able to deploy, since we took out their bases and supply depots. As for civilian counts.." The Officer reported
"As result of direct fighting, several thousand, atleast. Those Scarab strikes did alot of damage to civil infrastructure, so I'd imagine it's at least 300% of what their military and police forces sustained. We honestly cant tell."

near the southern Kolgujev border, a paratrooper unit, who had landed far from their target location, received new orders to blow up the gas and oil lines heading to Kolgujevska. Since that country broke off, why should they receive oil and gas?
Once they received word that the flow was cut on their end[not too far away there was a control substation], they rigged the pipes with Semtex and got to a safe distance. When they pressed the detonator, the remaining gas in the line ignited, and probably blew up parts of a Kolgujev power station further down the line. The oil caused a fire, and a firecrew from a nearby town was assigned to put it out.

As the assault finally reached the oilfields, the Glory faction had deployed the last of their tanks to slow down the attack.
Their main base, which was formerly an office building, had been reinforced with concrete and debris, slowly making it into a large bunker. Several NSV and Kord machine guns were set around the sides at strategic locations. In a vain attempt to reinforce a certain location, they had stripped many of their tanks of ERA, mostly from the sides and turret roof. Sandbag bunkers were set up nearly everywhere, since the cold made it nearly impossible to entrench themselves without a certain machine.

On a nearby hill, a reconnaissance team watched the fort closely. Once the main force was in place, they would laser target targets of importance, and Krasnopol missiles would be fired from artillery pieces.
"Cricket, this is Bear, come in, over"
"We hear you Bear. Are they in position?"
"Yes. Waiting for paint, then we'll fire, out."
They targeted first a T-72, which was generally facing their direction. Another Recon member targeted a ammo dump, and the third targeted the bunker.
Withing a few minutes, they heard a "whoose" sound, and two large explosions; the tank and the ammo dump. The third missile hit the building, but didn't appear to do much external damage.
A dozen or so 2S4 Tyulpan heavy mortars began shelling the area, at it's slow rate of 1 round per minute. A number of BM-21 "Grad", who had been tagging along since they passed a forgotten supply depot also began to open fire, with the rockets saturating the area.
The group of T-90A and T-84, supported by infantry and BMP-3's advanced on the stronghold. Once they were in range, the infantry dismounted their vehicles and slowly advanced. One of the NSV machine guns that were set up in the building began to shoot at the advancing military forces, killing several soldiers before a 100mm HE shell from one of the BMP's took out the room.
The enemy tanks, after the crews finally maneuvered around scattering friendlies, began to attempt a counter attack on the Military's armor.
As the SRCP infantry finally entered the city, they took out several Glory tanks with RPG-29's, and prepared to storm the enemy base. As the remaining enemy tanks were destroyed or disabled[with the crew playing dead, to increase their chance of survival], the SRCP tanks began firing HE-Frag shells into the building, and the 2S4's ceased shelling to avoid hitting friendlies.
After a several more hours, the siege finally ended when the ground troops found a way in, going room to room shooting everyone they came across. The operation was largely a success, with only 80 soldiers becoming casualties considering the odds. Several tanks were destroyed or disabled in the attack on the base, however, due to enemy RPG's and UXO's, which were most likely from friendly artillery.

"Yankee 5, hold fire until further notice... Enemy concentration moving in your direction."
A paratrooper company was being prepped for deployment to a strategic defense point which would slow the enemy retreat. One they land they would have exactly 3 hours to dig in, and had orders to hold the hill at all costs. They would have the support of 4 BMD-2's and 2 BMD-3's alongside Su-39 support.
The pair of IL-76 dropped their cargo close to the defense point, so little uphill travel was required. When they reached a defensible spot, they immediately got to work. Several small minefields were set up close o the line, in case of the situation where the enemy can attempt to overrun them.
