"Good evening, world. Tonight, a shocking discovery has been made on the border of the USGA and its ally and neighbor Mexilándo. A drug empire nestled in between the border was discovered in the state Nuevo Mexilándo by a joint patrol, consisting of members of the USB and Mexilándo Border Security forces. The drug cartel, called Los Alacranes, was raided at its headquarters at an opium farm, which consists of 1000 acres of opium fields and a lavish mansion at its center. The leader of the cartel, an 73-year-old named Matteo Alacrán, was arrested and sent to Aztlán Federal Pentitentary in Aztlán, Mexilándo along with many others. The fields were worked by migrant workers from the south, hoping to make a living in El Norte yet stay close to send their paychecks back home. The workers are being sent back home with each $20,000 worth of compensation. Conditions were said to be brutal, as workers harvested opium for $20 a week and lived in crowded, filthy worker barracks in 100-degree plus heat. Foremen would beat, sometimes shoot workers if they were not productive or obedient. The estate is now under the hands of the IRS, while the opium fields are being torched by flamethrower troops from the National Guard and is going to be auctioned to farmers or potential farmers. As for Alacrán and his inner circle, they are facing numerous drug charges as well as countless felonies. They may be given the death penalty by firing squad or life in prison."
