Kætria Administrate, Kiravian Empire

The INS Parsium, a colonial Transport, made for the emerald green coast of Degordia Island.

The Falkasian-discovered island had been auctioned off to the colonialists of the world for a tidy sum. The Kiravian Empire had, through much borrowing from the Suqusa Fund (Itself a tidy sum of $9 trillion from the Maldorians in exchange for an island), acquired the largest plot on the island, that is, C3.

Parsium (Like all KE colonial transports, named for a great city in Coscivia) carried 5,000 Kiravian colonists. Unlike the settlers sent to the Isabellan colonies, which were largely Coscivian immigrants recruited from Valëka's docks, the settlers bound for Kætria were mostly born in Great Kirav or a major colony like Kaviska or Xirya.

Once the ship had reached the minimum depth for safe passage, boats were lowered from her size, loaded with eager colonists and pakages of supplies.

The first boat to come ashore carried the appointed Governor, Vantir Saltlake, as well as a standard bearer and a few soldiers. THey wen tthrough the standard procedure: Read the Imperial order claiming the land, declare the colony, plant the Imperial Star, and fire a few rounds.

After that, work began. The colonial capital, Vercosta, whose name meant "Green Coast" in Coscivian, was laid out. Future streets, pipes, and power lines were demarcated, and temporary housing was erected in the form of tents and the occasional pefab.

The Kiravian efforts on Degordia were underway. Soon, those of other nations would be as well.

With the help of direct funding from the Oslean government, Universal Petroleum had managed to secure an all-sea plot near the island of Degordia for the small price of $4.5 billion. Some UP executives determined that as a small price for the promise of oil, and the direct funding from the government helped as well. However, others were doubtful that this was a good investment of money.

With nowhere to land, the top tier of UP businessmen as well as Oslean government trade officials took a specially chartered helicopter ride from a nearby Oslean Wasp-class amphibious assault ship, to look at the new plot of sea they now own.

"Might not look like much from up here, but there's black gold sitting under that water."

No reports of where the oil was had been made yet, so UP execs anxiously awaited the first report of an oil well in the ocean bed.

Vercosta, Kætria, Kiravian Empire

Vercosta was a small, fledgling town of 5,000 souls, nearly all of whom were on the Empire's payroll as contract settlers, paid to emigrate from Kirav and fill up land in the colonies. For now, it was the only settlement in the entire colony, but that would change as rescources were discovered and more colonists arrived.

Vercosta's people lived in small modular homes laid out in grids, and were occupied solely with construction and development. The current project was the port. At the seaside, men were laying the foundations for piers and crane installations that would off load cargo shipped from the rest of the Empire.

Right now, the Empire had a trade monopoly over Kætria. It kept such over most of its smaller colonies, and even some larger ones, to keep its posessions from falling prey to foriegn mercantile influence. The exception, of course, was the free trade provision with Falkasia, the Empire's ally from which the territory had been purchased. Falkasians would be allowed to settle and do buisness in the colony as Provincial Metics.

H.E.R.S Emperor Knock Nevis the 177th "Flag Emperor"

The Ralkovian Capital ship carried over 100,000 Colonist from Sefeen City, the capital of the ralkovian colony of Corizone. The Colonist were part of the depopulation plan of the once vibrant colony. Corizone was one of the first and longest lasting colonies in ralkovia's possession but years of land abuse, blood battles against traitors who called for independence, and draining resources had finally left the land nothing more but a sandy, hostile, and eroded land. Over 100 million ralkovians lived in the overpopulated barren land along with 20 million natives, the ralkovian government had at first allocated a whopping 700 billion dollars for the restoration of the land but that money was simply drained on digging deeper to find the extinct resources, in that time over 20 million ralkovians and almost all the natives died of starvation. The Ralkovian government had to face the fact that all the colony was now useful for was for military training and testing of new weapons. That was why the ralkovians were now moving over 2 million of the ralkovians to the newly purchased lands in degordia. Ralkovia had made sure that the vast majority of the population would be teenagers and young men and women. Family's were split up leading to emotional distress and the need to form new bonds, this would lead to a population boom on the islands. This was how ralkovia colonized, this is how it boosted its population, it was sick in a way, but it was how it made money.

New industry would be set up and the region would replace the tarnished and blackened Corizone and become a valuable jewel in the Imperial Crown of Ralkovia's colony. That was how ralkovia worked, people were resources and just like when something is used up and useless it is thrown away.

The ship headed along with its 19 other "Emperor of the seas" capital ships brethern headed towards the region, it was a sight to behold, as the massive ships came closer. They dwarfed everything the 40 destroyers, 4 aircraft carriers, 50 cargo ships and hundreds of small patrol boats, and 10 attack subs that formed the escort for the massive ships.

The large cargo ship floated through the water towards Degordia. Once it went as far as it could go, smaller landing craft were launched carrying the initial equipment. Once the first ship reached land, Prior Correy Henson, stood on the edge of the ramp, and blessed the land that unfurled before him, in the name of the Holy Empire of the Beatus. Then 200 men, and large construction equipment was quickly unloaded, along with building materials. Once everything was unloaded, the crews moved away from the coast, to high ground, where construction of the airstrip would begin.

Vercosta, Kætria, Kiravian Empire

A convoy arrived soon after the port had been completed. Right on schedule.

It had come to deliver 30,000 colonists, food supplies, medicine, building materials, equipment, and 14,000 Imperial troops.

Among the colonists was Narin Brásyl, a Lærev professor from the University of Baysar, who had come to Kætria to teach school while writing a dissertation. Of his fellow arrivals, he wrote:

The Persons who have engaged to come to this Colony are best placed into four Classes. There are the conventional Colonist stock: That is, Kiravic-speaking, middle-class Coscivs from Kirav, Xirya, or Kaviska that have emigrated in search of no less than Living Space. There are, as I have been informed, no less than five-thousand of such People already residing in the Colony. The Second Class is drawn from the Danrev inhabiting that Province known as Ålavora, who are fleeing the economic Recession of that Country because of a fall in Dairy Production. The Third, in all matters, are recent Immigrants to the Empire, coming from Eastern Coscivia. No Skills are posessed among them, and they come as Farmers in search of land. The Fourth Class of colonists in this Land are comprised of a single Family hailing from the Coscivian-speaking Island Republic of Insla Verdigra, who have come to, well...I can't quite understand what they're saying...

Novomoskvask, Vladistov Oblast'' | Degordia, Novostoklomolvi

Three huge tanker-like ships ploughed through the ocean, heading for the small plot of land purchased by the Stoklomolvi government for settlement. The new settlement, to be named after the city of Muscovy, was to be called Novomoskvask, or New Moscow. One RORO ship followed up, carrying three Type 5 MBTs, eight BTR-90s, and a large number of civilian vehicles. As the three ships smashed into the beach, civilians aboard jumped into the ocean or jumped onto the sand, gladly rolling around on land after having been aboard the ships for almost three months. Quonset huts were unloaded, as were construction vehicles and cars. The three tanks rolled into the edges of the territory before returning to the new city centre. Six of the BTR-90s, however, drove off to neighbouring territories without permission, charting the landscape.

At the main civilian "city" centre, citizens of the new city were constructing small shops and yet even more Quonset huts, With cement being poured for construction of apartment buildings later on. The entire city layout was planned, and then sections of the city were reserved while others were marked with signs and sticks. A huge concrete wall was to eventually be constructed around the city to keep out unwanted intruders.

A census was conducted by the Junior Commissar for Civilian Management for this city in particular, with several results being yielded.

First Census of Novomoskvask
- Population: 12,820
- Men: 6,420
- Women: 6,400
- GDP: $48,5749,800
- GDPPC: $37,890
Zaheran

The ship was called The Exodus. Originally built in 1928 as a troop carrier, it was now one of five ships used to ship massive numbers of hopeful emmigrants to the distant colonies Zaheran had acquired all over the world. On this journey she only carried a mere two thousand colonists, along with about five hundred administrative and military personnel, but in colonial emmigration offices all over the Empire, tens of thousands of pioneers were signing their contracts, dreaming of a better life in a new world. Soon they would come, but first basic infrastructure and governmental functions had to be established.

As the coast of Degordia came into sight, other vessels could be seen, all heading for the island. The Zaheranians had, as usual, not been the only ones to jump at the possibility of acquiring new territory. According to the map, the plot purchased by the Empire was D4, bordering the territories owned by Ralkovia, Santheres, Kirav and Visayan.

At long last The Exodus reached it's destination. Smaller boats carried the colonists and their equipment the final distance to the beach. A small group of soldiers were the first to wade ashore, carrying the Zaheranian flag and a flagpole, which was placed on a small hill. An Army Colonel stepped forward as the flag rised to the skies, proudly declaring the Zaheranians' presence.
"In the name of His Majesty the Emperor, I hereby claim this land for the Holy Empire of Zaheran", the officicer said formally, kneeling before the flag. "This territory shall from now on be known as Zathylia. Praise the Emperor!"
As one, the people in the crowd below raised their fists into the air, roaring the name of their beloved leader.

Two days later

A large camp of tents marked the site of the colony's first city, still unnamed. Engineers were building a small harbor and a bunker complex that would serve both as a military base and a temporary governmental headquarters. The colonists were working on building their new homes, sawing boards and mixing cement with great gusto. The Exodus had departed, but a number of other ships were waiting on the roadstead, carrying supplies and equipment for the young colony. Soon, Zathylia would flourish.

Santherese Falkasian Property

Being so small, no one in Santheres saw fit to give a proper name to the Property. Of course, it was the first Property Santheres had in the region -- or anywhere near it -- so perhaps in more sentimental country it would have received some grand name. But it didn't. It was a small percentage of the coastline of an island, extending inland over some rocky terrain. The odds of valuable ores were rather high, but that wasn't really a main concern. Perhaps it would receive a name when there were other Falkasian Properties, an unlikely event.

The ships that had arrived to being the colonization were small, except for the one Mercy-class hospital ship. In the interest of providing quick, professional medical care without having to rely on Falkasia, the ship was to stay long enough for a town to form and a clinic, with professionals, to be opened and maintained at Santherese standards. That one took awhile.

When the colonists landed, there was no ceremony, no grandstanding, and no speeches. Everyone simply set to work, under the protection of some special forces personnel. First, they had a city of tents -- eventually, they constructed administrative centers. Most of the residences remained as pavilions, however. The airfield had been a primary concern, and was operating quickly, allowing for more goods from home.

Falk, the adopted name of the settlement, wasn't thriving by any means and indeed that was to be expected outside of the mainland of Santheres. Not a Property in the world was nearly as pleasant to visit as Santherese Proper. Though not resembling the "third world," it was a harder life than most of the five thousand residents had had before. At least they had volunteered for it.

Of course, even if they had been coerced into it, they would still have to operate in a progressive, hard-working manner. They were under martial law, after all. There was one soldier -- granted, most were gendarme -- for every five civilians.

Ralkovia did as it usually did the huge vessels waited offside as ralkovian troops set up the logging points where people would be checked, a military base was quickly set up and a large drill would begin building an underground bunker. The highest point in the territory would be quickly made the capital and the underground used as a protective superbunker.

Nøviþram, Kætria, Kiravian Empire

Newly demarcated farms and pastures spread out in a grid, ending at four perfect square edges around the Danrev block settlement of Nøviþram.

The predominantly Danrev colony of Ålavora had a major part in the KE dairy industry. A particularly harsh winter had driven that sector nigh-bankrupt in Ålavora, motivating hundreds upon hundreds to seek opportunity elsewher ein the Empire.

The Beatus

Demonte

The Beatusian colony, under the supervision of Colonel Harper Spathmore, who was really under the supervision of Prior Bapthshurste, the airport was constructed, and flights began bringing more equipment and personel. Before long, a quarry had been set up, which produced stone bricks, which were then used to construct builds. Within a week, a budding town arose, a ways from the airport. With a lack of fuel at the moment, there were few motor vehicles, and the ones there were, were almost exclusively military. A cathedral had been constructed, and it was the the largest, and grandest structure in the town. From there, Prior Bapthshurste, oversaw the ongoing colonization project. With a lack of concrete, stones were used for roads. With the constant need for food to be airlifted in, pressure was on, for a local source of food to be found, and it had been decided that farming would be the most effective source, so seeds had been ordered. In all things were going well. Horses had been found, and were being domesticated, while other horses had been flown in until motor vehicles were feasible. At this time, Prior Bapthshurste, sent out Parsons, to the Kiravian colony, and to Novostoklomolvi.
