Following the emergance of celtica into the international community two things became very clear to king Leon Osprey of Celtica. First The city of celtica was not going to be able to hide within its forest forever and second, while some other nations were obviously friendly others appeared to have hiostile intentions. These two facts led the king into his decision. First, A defense needed to be built to warn off the celts ennemies and second a second city needed to be constructed. Fortunatly Celtican Rangers had been "mapping" the area quite efficiently and so Osprey had at least some idea of where to build his defenses. Miners and rangers moved out in forcethe rangers clearing trees and carting wood off as the miners mined stone and used their skills at building mines to build the Single stone wall. The wood was being carted off to build the basis of a second city which was, as yet, not populated. Five forts were being built and a second smaller wall was planned as a defense for the smaller city. The use of all these people had forced the celticans to temporarily shut downsilver mining but it would commence again once the fortifications were complete. The forts themselves consisted simply of a higher square Stone wall within which resided five stone towers, higher again and barracks for hoplites.

OOC- Theres no way you can do something that large. You lack man power and resources.

OOC: did I set a time line? and for resources all I needs stone. . . finally that around 50 kilometers (for both walls together) which would be less than half the size of Hadrian's wall with one third the number of forts. And my entire population (which would be roughly 1/9th of that available to hadrian) is supporting the endeavor while Hadrian couldn't have expected the same kind of support 9multiple cities vs. a single city state.

OOC- Hadrian had the economic suport of an entire empire and half bankrupted it building the wall. Your one city. It would take you decades to build it.

OOC: well decades it is then lol. Really this is just to stir things up a little. The city, though, could be built fairly easily and the second wall is no more than 5-10 kilometers long. . .think thats doable in say . . . .a couple of years?
