OOC: This is my first post with my new nation. I used to play NS years ago, but gave it up for a while. So am looking for a intro to my nation, who have just progressed into space.... But am well versed in RPing... So don't think I'm going to start the whole "send 10001230987472378954240875 troops n00k u" etc etc routine..
Thank you in advance :)

IC:

It was just passed 00:00, the launch was perfectly on time. A deathly silence fell over the control room as every technician and computer operater watched the big screen in awe.
The camera panned across the mile-long chunky grey ship (OOC:Think along these lines... (http://i35.tinypic.com/ngc1t3.gif)" ), the large bulky engines glowing a light blue. Fuel pipes were disconnected from the ship, and the supply and emergancy vehicles rolled away from the launch site to a safe distance.

The ship contained upwards of 300 personnal, all deidicated to the smooth running of the first and only capital ship to be launched from the surface of
Prosper. Also on board the ship was one single Regiment, (200 infantry + support etc), from Prosper's First And Only, they were onboard as a saftey measure, a just in case, they were not ready for full on combat with alien races yet....

The time was now 00:03, slightly behind scheduale. The doors to the control centre slammed open in the silence, making a few of the staff closest to the door jump in shock, Prospero, The Nation's Great leader strode in. He was dressed in full regimental dress, his long deep red cloak flowing behing him. His adjuntant struggled to keep up with him as he walked towards Daur, the man in control fo the launch.
"Are we ready to go sargent?"
Daur snapped to attention, saluting,
"Yes sir, I was just about to give the go ahead now"

"No need for formalities here, I've just come to watch. Don't let me get in the way"

"Yes sir," Daur tunred to his right hand man, "Begin the launch procedure!"
The man next to Daur

Underneath the great ship, christened(sp?) The Emperor's Fist, a great platfrom began to rumble into action and began to lift the ship to a 35 degree angle, while a blast sheild was raised behind the massive engines.

00:10. The countdown began.

"T-minus 1 minute and counting." The shaking voice of Yarrick clear though the rumbling of the ship, Everyones buckled up and I'm about to engage the engines, sir!"

Golke turned so his mouth was closer to the vox bead in his helmet, "Lets hope this works! All sytems are go, engage, engage!"

00:11. Launch time.
The ships engine slowly rumbled into action, and fired throwing up great clouds of dust and mud. The impulse engines glowing a deeper blue than before, The ship shuddered and began to lift off the platform and head for the stars....

00:28
The ship broke free of the planets orbit and was now crusing at a steady pace past the first moon of Prosper.
"Engage long-range scanners, lets see what we can find, if there is anything to be found..." Golke said to the Comms officer, And keep it friendly eh?" He added as an after thought

"This is the Emperor's Fist, hailing from the planet Prosper, we come in peace looking for other life out there. Please respond if you can undertsand this."

OOC: Hope this was okay, and looking forward to getting stuck in with RPing and maybe forming an alliance...? We'll see ! :)

Captain Torich sat back in his chair reading the usual diagnostics report on his TacDis. The usual routine of checking supplies, usage, surplus, and other materiel onboard the ship. The GAS Chrono (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/GeneralZhukov3333/KotorMkIII.jpg), a three hundred meter destroyer, part of the 107th Exploration Fleet and commissioned after the Exodus, is now on its second year in its mission to explore and conduct diplomacy. It was a bit easy to get to know the crew as Torich replaced the last captain, who was a bit too aggressive when it comes to this job. Suddenly an alert came on the TacDis.

"Intel."

"We are detecting signatures from near this sector several AU from our position." replied Lieutenant Orelon, Intelligence officer.

"I see... Navigation, turn the ship about and plot a microjump to that location, so that we can investigate further into it." Torich ordered.

"Yes sir."

The Chrono steadily sped up into hyperspace and just as quickly came out of it at the location. Orelon saw that the scans were picking up contacts, but they were not showing up in the database and had been classified First Contact by the computer.

"Sir..."

"I see it. Thank you Lieutenant. Alright, the usual please."

"Yes sir sending out message."

"This is Captain Torich of the GAS Chrono, representing the Ganoxian Alliance. We mean you no harm and wish to conduct diplomatic talks with your people.

The Hydra-class starship had been travelling slowly away from the system, cautiously.
Yarrick was on edge, he had never been out in deep space, the feeling was immense, the closest he got to space was on the test flights for this mission.

The vox set at Caffran's postions began bleeping and whirring erracticly.
"Contact! We have contact!", came his thick accent, he was from the northern hemisphere of the planet, "We have a message, can't read it completly, it's partly broken..."
He trailed off, suddenly rembering to power up the vox set, after having almost blown the system by sending out the first message. He quickly flipped a switch and the message came through clear into his ear-peice.
He handed it to Captain Golke, who listened intently to the message, at least three or four times..
Aha! This seems promising, alert those damn political and diplomatic personnel to prep themselves for a meeting with an alien race, Golke had a deep disdain for the political ways, as he was a more of an 'action-man' than politics, "And patch this message back to that ship:"

"This is Captain Golke, of The Emperor's Fist, we welcome diplomatic talks and await a meeting location? We have board rooms preped if you would rather come aboard?"

OOC: Seeing as I'm in the UK, its almost 11pm and I've got work in the morning so I'm going to catch some sleep. I'll be back tomorrow. :)

A few hundred kilometers away, a massive gravatation disturbance would be felt as a Greywatch Explorer pulled out of PSR. The 1.5Km ship came to a stop immediately after leaving and prepared for real space travel. Of course, scans had to be done first, and so the ship began looking around for anything of interest. Two other signatures were being picked up, looked liek Greywatch had found another race, that would make the third one this month... Interesting that so many new races were popping up, but onto more important things. The ship set a course and began moving towards the other ships.

"We are getting a transmission from the contact, relaying it to your TacDis."

"Thank you, Lieutenant."

"This is Captain Golke, of The Emperor's Fist, we welcome diplomatic talks and await a meeting location? We have board rooms prepped if you would rather come aboard?"

"We would be delighted to come aboard your vessel. Please allow us time to prepare our shuttle for departure and we'll meet with you soon."

Torich looked towards his executive officer, Commander Negoya, recently transferred replacing the last. "You have the comm. Prep the shuttle and get me an escort."

"Yes sir."

In the shuttle, Torich looked back as the four escorts were gearing up for the mission ahead. He nodded towards the pilot to begin lift off procedures. After gaining clearance the shuttle immediately launched out of the hangar bay doors and headed towards the foreign vessel.

"Captain, they have sent out a transport vessel, shall I open the docking bay doors?"
Yarrick was excited about meeting this new race, he was especially looking forward to friendly contact.

"Yes, I'll head down to Bay 1. Let the diplomats know to head down there too. How long untill their arrival?" Golke begain to turn towards the door, pausing while Yarrick announced the forign vessels estimated time of arrival.

"Only a few minutes sir, good luck!"

Golke contiuned foprwards through door and on down into Bay 1 to meet the new contacts...

Back on the bridge,
Caligari, second in command, had control of the bridge. He was enjoying sitting in the captains chair, when the long-range sensors detected some sort of disturbance in the wider area.
"Sir, I've just notcied a disturbance out there," He said pointing to the windows, if you could call them that, "I'm not too sure what it is..." Caffran seemed jumpy.

"Calm down son, keep a watch on it, but i bet it's nothing to worry about. Could just be some background noise..." Caligari sunk back into his day dream of becoming captain of his own ship one day...

Within a number of minutes, the Explorer had come accross two ships. The captain smiled, so there was something out here after all... The first order of business would be to establish contact:

Greetings from the Empire of Greywatch to all ships in the area. We come with peaceful intentions.

The shuttle touched down inside the foreign craft's hangar, a pleasant landing to Torich. The escorts began to exit the shuttle and file on opposite sides of the hatch, then Torich appeared. There he saw the delegation waiting to meet him and walked up to them extending his hand to greet them. "I am Captain Isaac Torich of the Ganoxian Alliance Destroyer Chrono, it is a pleasure to meet with you."

Meanwhile on the Chrono, Commander Negoya noticed something on the TacDis. "Intel, what is that?"

"Appears to be a ship sir, a rather large one." Orelon said.

"We are getting a message from the ship," Lieutenant Matas reported.

"Upload it."

"Doing so now sir," she said.

Greetings from the Empire of Greywatch to all ships in the area. We come with peaceful intentions.

Negoya keyed up, "This is Commander Negoya of the Ganoxian Alliance Destroyer Chrono, we are on diplomatic mission with the ship in the area and remaining in a peaceful stance."

As soon as the shuttle entered the docking bay, Golke adjusted his rank pins on his lapel. He was excited about this new contact with a friendly race. He was looking forward to the praise when he returns home as a hero.
Zweil, the ships Chaplin, was also present as part of the diplomatic entourage(. He was the most versed in diplomacy and would do most of the talking. Dorden, the political office, was pleased about this. He wasn't so confident with meeting a new race, and looked slightly worried as the shuttle door's opened..

Zweil stepped forward and meet Captain Isaac's hand and shook it vigorously.
"My name is Chaplain Zweil, the pleasure is all mine." He pointed towards Golke, "This is Captain Golke...."
Golke stepped, inturupting Zweil, to shake the newcomers hand, "This is a momentus occation for our race! Please follow us to our board rooms, are you hungry? Thirsty? Please make yourselves at home."
Golke and his companions turned and headed towards the bay doors, out towards the lavishly decorated board rooms...

Meanwhile, on the bridge:
Cafran jumped as his vox post recieved this message from the new ship in the area, "Sir, the new ship has sent a message across to both ships. They have delcared peaceful intentions!"

Caligari looked excited, aha fantastic, two new relations with one trip and we havn't even reached the edge of the system. Imagine what else is out there!"

"Is their a message you want me to patch through, sir?" Caffran brought the second-in-commad back to earth.

"Yes! Relay this message!"

Greetings from the Emperor's Fist, We gladly recieve your peaceful intentions as we are currently meeting with the Ganoxian Alliance aboard our ship. You are heartily welcomed to join our meeting with a diplomatic entourage?

"Well I am a bit famished, I'll be honored to dine with you gentlemen."

Torich followed the delegation to the board room accompanied by two of the escorts one step behind him. He entered the room and took in the beauty of the room, which reminded him of the Grand Hotel in New Kpor. He took a seat, "Quite a room you have here."

The captain nodded at the two responses before sending two back.

To CG:
That is good to know. I am sending some diplomats over to the other ship, perhaps your race and mine will have good relations in the future.

To PC:
In that case, I'll have a diplomat or two sent over right now.

The bay doors of the Explorer opened and a small craft drifted out into space. Once it was in position it set a route for the alien ship and was on its way. Aboard it, two diplomats sat silently, one of them a Leanorian and the other a Dragon-kin.

Golke was pleased to hear that the newcomers were hungry, hopefully they will be impressed by our culinary delights, he thought...

He took his adjunt aside, and told him to get the canteens prpared to feed the guests. He turned to the tabl where the Ganoxian Alliance deleagtes were sat and took a seat next to Zweil,

"Thank you sir, we try our best to make out ship presentable to your wonderful delgation. Now, we are very intrested in beginning friendly relations with your race..."

Zweil inerupted, "As I'm sure you know, Captain Isaac, the other ship in the area have sent a delagtion aboard and we can turn this into a three way meeting?"

The doors opend and waiters brought in many glasses and Prosper's favourite drink amsec, a sort of sweet brandy liquor.

On the bridge:
Caffran patched a link through the the small craft heading towards the ship,
You have clearance to dock in bay 1, you will be greeted and brough the meeting room where our delegates and the Ganoxian Alliance. We hope you are hungry as food is being laid out.

"You can call me Isaac, and that will be fine."

He saw the waiter pour him a glass of the alcohol into his glass. This reminded him of the Severail Wine he hid in his closet, to which he would break out for celebrations or when delegations would arrive aboard his ship. He took a swig from the glass, taking in the taste of the brandy. "Reminds me of the concoctions at the Sevrailian bars back home."

The cold depths of space ripped open into a warp-portal, and the massive hulk of an Imperial Destroyer pulled through. This area, situated just inside the territory of the Holy Imperium of Angenteria, had suddenly become host to a number of unidentified vessels of unknown origin. The Imperial Navy saw this action, it being detected by a sensor station a few light years away, had sent a ship out in order to ascertain what was going on.

Captain Lex of the Pax Imperialis looked out from his command pulpit over his bridge crew. In the past he had been offered a promotion to Commodore, with his own flotilla of ships. However, he had turned down the offer, choosing to stay with his ship and crew. They had fought harsh battles together, and had always emerged victorious. He couldn't bear the thought of leaving them.

"Captain, we're approaching the gathering point." A bridge officer announced. "There seems to be multiple alien ships in this area, all with different identifications."

"I see." The captain responded. "Since they don't seem to be shooting at us yet, why don't we ask them what they're doing?"

"Yes, sir. Opening transmission."

Lex stood up, and straightened his uniform, putting on his most authoritative look.

"Transmission Open, sir."

Probe #002791, 200 years old, activated its primary processor at 3:00 (Universal Imperial Gothic Time) from its hidden position within the gas giant as it had exactly every five years (Universal Imperial Gothic Time). A rash of system checks flooded its systems, and the probe devoted .00382981 of a second from its tertiary processor to examine itself for damage. A minor impact by a fist sized rock two years in its sleep cycle had crushed one of the spars of its solar sail. Repair drones had automatically deployed and healed the wound. It had not been done perfectly, there was a micro fracture at the atomic scale of the joining. The probe elected to leave the repair flaw alone, as it would be recalled for a full refit and repair in another two activation cycles. One its circuits was suffering from poor insulation, but cross referencing data from the last six cycles left it with the conclusion that the rubber tube would hold for another century. Meanwhile it examined the data stream from the secondary Starlight Arrays and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Prosperian fauna had produced a xeno species had in its possession the mental agility to extend itself to spaceflight. The data was poor, as was well predicted. The secondary processor immediately began compiling the data feeds into a cohesive report, and prepared one of the secondary Starlight Arrays to send a super-cohesive energy transmission burst to the star of Delta-Arith-Hyboria-C:Leo. The tertiary and primary processor elected to reveal themselves as they sent their first contact report to high command. The secondary processor cited article #239, noting that the chain of command was to be respected at all costs. The arbitrator program, however, had weighed the Primary and tertiaries' arguments for direct and decisive action to have more base in calm deduction than the secondary's. If the Prosperians proved to be hostile and xenophobic, the loss of an A.OF.LTD (Autonomous Occularis Fidelis Long Term Deployment) vessel to be far more palatable than possible damage to a manned vessel. Its course decided, the vessel spurred itself into action.

All of the logged actions had taken place in 4.298017710972 seconds.

The long, grey vessel emerged from the gas giant, its massive solar sails rippling in some impossible wind. A massive energy burst flooded the stars for a single, agonizing moment before it faded away. Like a trumpet call, a it sent a wideband communication.

"Hail Prosperians, this is the Emperatium Drakonicum probe#002791. We come to you in peace, and with only the intentions of one friend to another. Do you accept our presence upon your sovereign star?"

The shuttle was quick to follow instructions and made its way to docking bay 1. As soon as it was inside, it waited until atmosphere could be confirmed. As soon as atmosphere was detected, the two would exit the craft. The Leanorian was female, she stood at 6'8" at had golden fur. Her tail moved slowly from side to side as her blue eyes looked around the bay. The Dragon-kin was shorter, standing at 5'8", its scaly skin being mainly black on the back while being a dark green on on the front and face. While the Leanorian was dressed in a soft, white priestess gown, the Dragon-kin wore a standard gray uniform, exception being the sleeveless top.

"This is the Emperor's Fist, hailing from the planet Prosper, we come in peace looking for other life out there. Please respond if you can undertsand this."

The transmission crackled to an end, filling the bridge of the Alliance capital ship Light of Progress with the sound of static. Ethan raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the strange message. The holographic images of the Founder and his Council were silent. His bridge crew continued about their business as if all were as normal, but he could tell the message had thrown them off a bit. A few technicians exchanged nervous glances, first at the Ethan, then double-taking back at each other.

Ethan Castro was the grandson of the Commonwealth's Founder and current High Chancellor, and thus an heir to the Chancellorship and entitled to a position of command within the Commonwealth's military. The Light of Progress was one of twenty-four sister ships, each one commanded by one of his fellow heirs, each one a capital ship in a fleet of four Atlas Class Destroyers, two Achilles Class missile frigates, and a Poseidon Class carrier. These capital ships were half the size of the massive frigates but were nearly twice the speed of an Atlas, and as heavily armed as any ship in the fleet. These keyships were unparalleled in their power, and in many battles proved the turning point in such conflicts. However, Ethan's fleet was on a mission of escort, not destruction, with their primary objectives being to protect their numerous science and colony ships in their custody, and keep watch until they arrived safely at Abyss. He was looking forward to the long and monotonous assignment as a makeshift vacation from his duties as an heir... what a surprise that something like this would happen.

The Founder's hologram stood up and turned to Ethan. Despite pushing two hundred and fifty, his bionics kept up the appearance of a forty five year old man. The only hint of his age lay in the dignified streaks of silver in his sideburns. His his deep blue hardsuit and the long, intricately patterned cloak flowing behind it made him look like a medieval king more then a modern chancellor. "Loyal Ethan, you are the nearest in position to this supposed rendezvous point. The duty falls on you, my heir, to establish diplomatic communications with this new species and any other force or species you encounter at this location..."

"Yes, Grandfather. But, what of the scientists? Without us, who shall keep vigil over their travels?"

One of the other holograms, a towering figure in a black and orange hardsuit turned towards Ethan. His armor was riddled with bullet marks and shrouded in black tabards. His burning red hair was tied back in a ponytail and a large, red scar ran down the right side of his sun burnt face. The general of the Juggernaut Legion's voice resounded through the room as clear as a bell, "They shall be fine, as this will be a diplomatic mission. Leave the majority of your fleet with the scientists; take only two Atlases with you to escort the Light of Progress. The remaining ships should be more then adequate enough until you return... if they require assistance, you can always return to them, and if things should be so bad, my fleet can provide assistance..."

"Yes, General Rascada. Thank you for your assistance." Ethan nodded towards the Chancellor and forced a smile, "Don't worry, Grandfather, I shall do you proud."

"I know you will, my heir. I know you will. You all do. If you want any help or advise, contact Virgil. He’s done this sort of thing before… good luck, grandson." The Chancellor smiled and nodded to the other holograms, and one by one, the images dissipated, leaving Ethan alone on his command precipice. One of his crewman, Ensign Jericho, swiveled his chair at the helm to face Ethan.

"What's your orders, sir?" The other crewmen looked up to Ethan on his platform with uncertainty. Even the hardsuit-armored Azure Guard, the most elite of fighting men and women in the Alliance assigned with the singular duty of defending the Chancellor, his AI compatriot Chaos, and the Chancellor's many heirs, renowned for their stoicism in the face of danger, seemed to shuffle nervously at their posts on the bridge.

Ethan sighed, "Well, you heard the old man. Ensign Jericho, begin cycling the drives: get this ship ready to space fold. Ensign Mark, relay the Chancellor's orders to the remainder of the fleet and contact Atlas Destroyers Adversity and Honor to pull into escort formation with the Light. Also, slave their drive units to our navigation systems so that we jump simultaneously. Oh, and prepare my AVATAR for departure on arrival. I'd rather not chance them misinterpreting a docking attempt from this ship as an act of aggression on our part."

Within minutes, the fleet enacted Ethan's orders, and the Light of Progress, flanked by the Honor and Adversity activated their drives. With a shockwave that rippled through the fabric of reality, space bent and warped, hurling the three ships within ten miles of the Prosperon ship, where upon they reappeared with another space-shaking concussive wave. The Light of Progress and it's flank guards popped into existence, the silver and blue hull of the Light silhouetted against the stars like a brilliant predatory bird. Ethan surveyed the scene. Other starships were congregating around the chunky grey ship. Ethan allowed himself a strained smile.

"Looks like we're late for the party, and it looks like we have a few friends here… I remember the Argentenians and Greywatch from Virgil’s adventures… good folks... Ensign Mark! Open a non-encrypted channel, broadcast to all ships..."

Golke was pleased to hear that the amsec was to the liking of Isaac.
"Ah, now, down to business eh? We all know why we're here. Diplomatic meetings and all that. So, what's the order of the day? Some kind of peace treaty or Non-agression pact? Not that my people are very aggressive.. Small army and all that..."
The door opened and lieutenant Larkin walked in,
"Sorry to interupt" He bowed to the new comers, "The Greywatch diplomats and are on their way up her to join the meeting."
Golke was pleased to hear the news, "Good good, this is shaping up to be a very successful mission. We shall await their arrival, Isaac?"

Meanwhile:
As the doors opened to the new shuttle, Mkoll was ready to meet the new arrivals. As soon as he saw them he was slightly taken aback, he had never seen these sorts of life-forms before.
"Welcome to our ship!" Mkoll was instructed to meet the Greywatch delegates and take them to the meeting already underway. "I am General Mkoll and if would please follow me to the board room, you can meet our Captain and the Ganoxian Alliance delegates are already here."
He was a good foot smaller than the tallest Greywatch diplomat, and he was amazed by them. Mainly by the fact that there was these two amazing creatures. He was so used to the humanoid shape and features...

On the Bridge:
Caffran was getting quite used to recieving and sending transmissions now, he had alot of practice back on Prosper. But never in real life, he was almost becoming a pro with his deep space vox caster.
Sir, we are recieving a transmission from another ship recently arrived in the sector."
"Let me hear." Caligari demanded.

Attention alien vessels,
This is the Angenterian ship Pax Imperialis. Your ships are intruding upon the space of the Holy Imperium of Angenteria, set aside by the Emperor for His subjects. You will explain your reasons immediately.

"What? We have lived on this planet for centuries, our history goes back for hundreds of years? How can we part of some one else's territory? And if so how come they didn't find us before?!"
Caffran sensed trouble ahead, but he hoped differently.
Shall i tell them we're friendly?"
"Yes, send this message to them"

We are residents of planet Prosper, the only planet with life on in this system. We have been here for hundreds of years. We are undertaking friendly relations with the other ships in the vicinity. If you are hostile, declare so now.
(OOC: Btw in my eyes we havn't left my solar system, well maybe on the edge of it, as my race havn't developed hyperspace drive etc, only impulse. )

Caffran jumped when yet again another transmission starteled him.
Sir, another message. So many ships, how the gak did they find us?"

"Hail Prosperians, this is the Emperatium Drakonicum probe#002791. We come to you in peace, and with only the intentions of one friend to another. Do you accept our presence upon your sovereign star?"

Caligari thought it over, "Ah, they seem friendly enough. Let them now we are willing for relations with their empire."
"Yes sir."

A transmission was sent to the Emperatium Drakonicum probe:
Greetings, I am the standing XO of this ship while the captain conducts talks elsewhere. We are pleased to hear about your intentions. We are also looking for friendly relations. We are already meeting with two races aboard our ship. I'm sure we can accomodate for a third, if that would suit you?

Caligari sat back and awaited their reply...

After a few minutes silence, the vox set blinked into life again as another message was received.
Caffran groaned, "Not again," he murmed to himself, "Sir, another message. I'm playing it now."

All attending craft, this is the cruiser Light of Progress, bearing the diplomat on behalf The Commonwealth of the Second Alliance. We apologize for not showing up sooner, but we were held up. Caligari's face lit up, "We'll get medals for this for sure, so many new relations and there all friendly so far! Not even a single shot fired." He stopped and thought, "Relay this message to those guys.."

Welcome The Commonwealth of the Second Alliance to our system. Better late than never eh? Diplomatic talks are the order of the day. You are very welcome to join the us in talks. I believe your allies, the Greywatch people, are aboard our ship now. Would you honour our invitation?

The two smiled, both bowed to the man who greeted them. The Dragon-kin spoke, "Please, lead the way."

Mkoll turned and begain to walk the short walk to the room where the meeting was already underway. As they walked men were rushing about the ship, it seemed that something was wrong.
He put it to the back of his mind, he had more important things to deal with, first contact and all that...

Ethan smiled at the response. Things were panning out nicely.

We would be happy to come over. I shall be over shortly. Also, I might as well tell you, I am required by Commonwealth law to bring my Azure Guard escort with me. They will be armed with small, defensive sidearms and molecular halberds. Please do not mistake this as a lack of trust or harmful intent, but rather as protocol. I shall be over shortly. End.

The blue eyed heir ascendant looked about the bridge and assigned override command to Ensign Jericho. He motioned to the Azure Guard stationed on the bridge and together they walked toward the starboard hangar bay.

Light of Progress Starboard Hangar Bay--------------------------------

Ethan and his six bodyguard escorts stood in the starboard hangar of the Light of Progress. They stood awaiting their AVATARs to scroll over on the lift in the bay, checking their hardsuits one last time.

The heir ascendant tossed his head forward, and the hardsuit responded to his neural impulses, deploying the armor's crowned helm with a series of clicks and snaps as the armor plates reconfigured to Ethan's fair skin. With a quiet whistling of air, the Hardsuit sealed itself from the outside world, and the hardsuit's internal HUD lit up. Ethan glanced around to see his bodyguard's armor performing similar transformations.

Finally, his AVATAR arrived. He stood on the assembly platform and closed his eyes, letting the hundreds of mechanical arms seal him within the tight black sheath of the pilot compartment. Wires and harness straps snapped him into a vertical reclining posture, and his vision went black as the compartment was covered by the inorganic musculature of the machine. Clacks and whirs sounded as the AVATAR's limbs and armor were ratcheted into place, and with the loud click of his neural uplink snapping into place, his consciousness expanded to fill his new, metal body. He willed the war machine's eyes to activate and the blue diode cameras snapped open with a whir. He moved, stretched, and tested his new robotic joints. Everything checked out. Finally, his hardsuit's HUD suddenly changed, accommodating the new hardware of the AVATAR. The neural feed streamed in front of his vision, parallel to his altimeter. It read a total connection speed of 99.259 terabytes per second. He was fairly comfortable with those numbers.

With that, he released the last of the robotic clamps holding him in place, and he strode forward, his new, twenty foot body towering over everything else in the hangar, even his Azure Guard's seventeen foot tall models. He strode to the edge of the hangar and stared into space. Waving over his shoulders, he turned to face his bodyguard adspoke, his voice enhanced into a thunderous facimile by his AVATAR's external comms. "Tight formation. Keep close, keep watch, but don’t go making any sudden moves or intimidating actions. We’re here on a mission of peace and hopefully your presence will not be necessary." Ethan sighed, turning back to the cold depths of space that stretched out in front of him.

“Well, let’s head on over.” With that, Ethan and the Azure Guard hefted their halberds and stepped into space and activated their mech's CERVA thrusters, streaking through space toward the Prosperon ship, trailing a wake of bright blue charged particles.

Prosperon Hangar bay------------------------------------

The AVATARs floated gently into the bay, cutting their drives as they sank to the floor. Ethan and his bodyguard stepped their warmachines forward, and with a cacophony of hydraulic screeches and whirring rivets, the machines opened up like mechanical bananas, and their pilots stepped out from inside, their hardsuits reflecting the ambient lights of the hangar bay.

Ethan tossed his head, and the armor responded to his neural command by retracting its helmet, revealing a set of sky blue eyes and short golden hair. He was completely human by all outward appearances, but even the simplest of genetic scans would reveal his unique genetic and mechanical heritage. His kind may once have been just humans, but that was long, long ago; yet even amonst the naturally gifted Second, the heir ascendant stood apart from his people. His artfully molded full body bionics, crafted as what outwardly was a perfect replica of his former body, made him more machine than man, and what remained of him had been significantly altered, surgically and genetically. He was less human then the metal monstrosity he stepped from. He strode toward the crewman in the bay, his bodyguard stalking behind him impassively.

“I am Ethan Castro, representative on behalf of the Second Alliance. If one of you would be so kind as to lead us to the bridge…”

After leading the Greywatch deleagtes to the board room, Mkoll was rushed back to Bay 1. Apparently, new contacts had been made and Caligari had told him to meet them over the vox link.

He stood behing the shimmering blue shield that was protecting them from the depths of space. As the great machines entered the docking bay, he gasped. He had never seen such great ships. Were they ships? He wondered to himself. The shield fizzeled out as air was pumped back into the docking bay as the massive doors had shut them in.

These 'machines' soon opened to reveal their cargo, these human like people.
The point man announced himself..

"The bridge? My captain is in our finest board room with our other delegates from their respective empire's. I can lead you there to meet with our delegates? We would like to welcome you to our ship, and the board room is the best place for that. You may follow me there now. Refreshments are at hand, if you fancy it?"

Mkoll led the men to the room already getting a bit packed with all these new contacts in...

"Yes to acknowledge that your people are in a peaceful relationship with my people is adequate for my government. The first step to a prosperous relationship that will benefit both parties. Unless you wish to conduct a trade agreement with us now that will be fine."

Torich looked over to the entrance and watched as the two Dragon-kin walked in, and later on Castro. He stood up before them and introduced himself.

"I am Captain Isaac Torich of the GAS Chrono, representing the Ganoxian Alliance. Pleased to meet you all."

OOC: I will not be on as much, I have limited internet access until further notice.

OOC: Dragon-kin and Leanorian...
IC:

"Greetings," said the Dragon-kin, "I am Hazla." The Leanorian bowed slightly, "And I am Sharzai." Both of them moved to the others, "Have we missed anything?" Asked the Leanorian.

Ethan nodded at Isaac and the Greywatch representative. He performed a half-bow at the waist, and straightened back up quickly.

"I am Ethan Castro, twelfth heir ascendant of the Commonwealth, and captain of the Keyship Light of Progress and commander of the Second Alliance fleet strength present at these meetings..."

Ethan walked around the room curiously, his Azure Gaurd detail constantly trying to keep pace with him in a comic, Benny-hill style romp for about fifteen seconds. He turned back towards his hosts, "Also, forgive me if I'm being rude, but I heard something about... drinks?" He smiled pleasantly. This was easily his favorite part of diplomacy; the casual talking and even more casual occasional drinking...

(OOC: sorry dude. That's my bad. I blame my shart spell check program... I just typed it again and it tried to correct me. It's been removed, it shouldn't be a problem. Fixed)
Angenteria

(OOC: TSA, it's ANGENTERIA, not Argentina. See, there's an "n" and an "r.")

Captain Lex paced back and fourth on the bridge, waiting for a response from the alien vessels. Finally, such a response came.

"Captain, the aliens are responding."

"Play it."

"This is Commander Negoya of the Ganoxian Alliance Destroyer Chrono. We are undergoing a diplomatic mission and remain peaceful. We are raising our shields as a precaution."

Lex chuckled. These aliens were wise to be mindful of them. They seemed truthful enough. In his experience, those that weren't would have started shooting already.

Commander Negoya,
That will not be necessary. Our weapons will remain de-activated so long as yours stay the same.

"Captain, another message."

We are residents of planet Prosper, the only planet with life on in this system. We have been here for hundreds of years. We are undertaking friendly relations with the other ships in the vicinity. If you are hostile, declare so now.

Now this was interesting. How could a civilization prosper for so long right under the noses of the Holy Imperium without them taking notice? Well, perhaps noses wasn't the best analogy. More like fingernail. It was a long way away from Angenteria Prime.

"Lieutenant, where exactly are we?" Lex asked.

"Sir, we're currently on the Eastern Fringes of Imperial Space. Explorators have not yet fully mapped out this sector. Currently, we're in the system marked as KX-1228."

"So it's possible for an alien race to have lived in this area without any contact with us, however unlikely. Well, what are you waiting for? Open transmission."

Opening fire now would not be a smart idea. While the alien ship was particularly weak, the other aliens probably wouldn't take kindly to the big, bad Imperium busting in on their diplomatic talks.

"Yes, sir."

People of Prosper,
The Holy Imperium of Angenteria is not here to declare a state of open war. With your permission, we would like to send an envoy to discuss the matter more personally.

"Captain, one more transmission incoming."

"Another one? These aliens like to talk."

All attending craft, this is the cruiser Light of Progress, bearing the diplomat on behalf The Commonwealth of the Second Alliance. We apologize for not showing up sooner, but we were held up. I am Ethan Castro, twelfth heir ascendant of the Commonwealth, and commander of this fleet. My ships will stay at our current positions unless you would have otherwise. We seek to engage in diplomatic talks and peaceful exchange.

Let me be the first to welcome the Prosperon people to the greater galaxy.

And to the allies we members of the Second Alliance have in the Greywatch and ANgenteRian peoples, it's good to see some allies beat us to the punch here.

"The Second Alliance?" Lex was confused, to put it bluntly. He had never heard of such an entity. "Run it through our databanks."

"Already done, sir." A bridge officer reported. "Apparently, The Second Alliance is a republic that we've encountered while responding to a distress call."

"And?"

"Sir, the rest..."

Lex walked over to the console. What he saw, at the least, was something unexpected. A stylized image of an "I" appeared on the screen, and an authorization code was being requested.

"That's enough." Lex stated. He knew better then to pry his head into the affairs of the Inquisition.

Commonwealth vessel,
Your presence here is most welcome. We look forward to meeting with you.
