Lynscert Island, Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion

The region was at peace. Imperial Australia was going to rebuild its navy after the Last Pirate Alliance War, Imperial Fungi were being unusually quiet and Lynion had just came out of the threat of a war that could’ve over extended the lines of the military forces.

However, Imperial Fungi weren’t so keen on the peace time that Lynion was having and they created a new kind of weapon that would cut off communications to the outside world and then satellite’s wouldn’t be able to see through the weapon. Imperial Fungi had created the new weapon called, The Black Hurricane. It was a new weapon designed to cut off all communications with the outside world and it was going to be tested before they took on the world. With the Roef crisis over, the Imperial Fungi turned to Lynion and watched it.

Two weeks later

“What do you mean we lost communications?” demanded Woff. “You can’t simply loose communications because there’s a...hurricane closing in on us,”

“That’s the thing sir,” replied the operator. “Its winter time and hurricanes come out during summer. This isn’t a natural hurricane,”

Woff looked over the shoulder of the operator as he watched the radar start to lose images of Imperial Fungi and started to lose images of Imperial Australia. He stroked his cheek as he realised their best bet was Imperial Australia.

“Send a telegram off to Imperial Australia and get them to inform our colonies of the situation and ask them to send another telegram to our allies,” ordered Woff.

“I’ll be right on it sir,” replied the operator.

FROM: Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion, Vamperial Order

There’s a hurricane inbounds towards us at high speeds and we’ve lost communications...colonies...need... can you send a telegram to our allies...?

Imperial Australia, Albany Capital City

The president was busy as he was given two telegrams from two different nations. One was from Imperial Fungi and the other from Lynion. The one from Fungi stated that there’s going to be a change of command in Lynion and it wanted to know where Imperial Australia stood. The Lynion telegram warned Imperial Australia that there’s a hurricane inbound towards them and they wanted their colonies and the allies of Lynion to be informed about the situation...or by what he could read.

He looked around as he thought about it for a moment. Does he side with the Fungi and backstab the Lynion’s? Or does he side with the Lynion’s and risk being wiped out of existence by the Fungi? It was this kind of decision the president had to make on the spot. He talked about it with the cabinet and it was decided they would send a telegram to the world explaining the situation but from a source that the Fungi elements couldn’t trace back to them.

FROM: United Allied States of Imperial Australia, President Andy

I am sending you this telegram because I am worried about something that has just happened in our region. I have checked it over three times and I fear that no matter what Imperial Australia decides, we’ll be next on the list. I have looked at this and reports have being confirmed that the hurricane is artificial. I know it sounds like something out of a movie, but its winter time and the waters are freezing cold, there’s no way that a hurricane can be formed in winter.

It doesn’t end there. Few hours ago I got two telegrams, one from Imperial Fungi and one from Lynion. The Lynion one is broken up but we think it could be a warning of the hurricane and wanted to warn its allies and colonies. The Fungi one is about...the extinction of Lynion. I don’t have the forces to take on the Fungi and defend Imperial Australia. I’m asking the world just one question:

Is there a world leader or leaders that will help Imperial Australia and Lynion in their darkest hour?

FROM: Allied States of Northam-York, Prime Minister Edward Daniel

I am answering the call of what you have requested and I'm willing to dispatch a small detachment of Diggers and Ghost Stalkers (Elite Spec Ops) to help you with the war as well as a fleet of warships. It may not sound much, but we are willing to aid you and this is all I could muster.

Under the command of General Hawkeye, the first international war of the newly formed Democratic Allied States of Northam-York were gathering in Exmouth for their first war. Among them going were the elite spec ops known as Ghost Stalkers and the regular infantry or better known as the Diggers. They were to be supported by no aircraft but two battalions of armour when they rode into battle. Their destination was Imperial Australia shorelines.

"Were going to have to help you weather you like it or not, i doubt Fungai pays, and i dont think we can escape the strom so i guess were with you.." the Captain sent in a telegram, along with a picture of a sad smiley face.

meanwhile, several magnetic towbars shot out and latched themselves to the docks, before long weather the lynions wanted it or not, the kewen vessels were as snug as a bug in a rub for the comming storm.

"That's ok Kewen," replied the operator at the Temple. "This hurricane isn't natural. I suggest you make a break for it and head south. If you stay, head for the southern part of Lynscert Island where its more safe,"

The operator's weren't busy as usually because of the hurricane and neither was the Temple. Shouts could be heard before shots were fired. An operator rushed to the door way as he saw a Fungi Minator lift up a student no older than 8 and rip it apart before the guards gunned him down. The Vamperial Temple went into Code Red as the armoury was being empty and everything was handed out to the Vamperial Knights, Guardians, Masters and Headmasters.

"Seal the gates," came a voice over the PA System.

Vamperial Headmaster Tal Rasha was back suddenly from Lynx Colony when he was giving a report about the polls from Lynx. He was handed a X8 like the others and orders were being given out. The sentry droids came online as they went out to the front of the Temple with Tal Rasha.

The Temple was based on a mountain top with a ramp going around the mountain and onto the ground as it started to snow. Tal Rasha and the others looked down as they noticed that the walls around the mountain base were Minator's, Spider Tanks and ladders.

"All hands to battle stations," ordered Woff over the intercom.

The snow was going to make it harder for the Fungi to move up the slope as they weren't used to it. Tal Rasha was burning with rage as he had some kind of power flowing through him. His feelings caused steam to rise from his skin as he turned into a werewolf and followed the others down the slope. He was powerful in the Supernatural Martial Arts and he was going to show just how powerful he was. Panzer X and Tiger battle tanks rolled with them as they raced around the slope.

"To the wall!" shouted a voice over the intercom and echoed through the mountain pass. "Defend the wall until we can get help up here!"

'Who was coming?' thought Tal Rasha to himself.

They finally came to the base of the mountain as the armoured battalions setup defence's. Tal Rasha went over to the wall as he looked at the gates that were being closed with the blast doors. He climbed up the staircase and came to the walls as he watched the marching bands of Fungi come towards them. They had stopped close to a small hill and their leader was standing there. Tal Rasha watched as it let out a war cry and the Minator's charged the walls.

"So it begins," whispered Tal Rasha as he raised his mouth guard over his mouth, button up his cloak, checked his rifle, pulled his gloves back that allowed the fingers to poke out the ends and put his slouch hat on as his black uniform was the identiy of a highly skilled commander.

Meanwhile

Five Fungi warships slipped through the Ring of Hell as the radar systems were offline because of the hurricane. They ventured towards Lynscert Island as they landed two companies of Minators. They went unnoticed as they started for the harbour and before long, they were picked up on short range radar causing the Ring of Hell to come back online and the harbour cannons to bear down on the Fungi warships. However, the Fungi were also aiming for the Kewen warships docked in the harbour. They opened fire as both sides were now returning fire, a barrage of shells landed close to the Kewen warships but they couldn't tell if it was a direct hit or not.

Onboard a medical frigate inbound to Lynion

"There's enough supernatural happening at Lynion as it is," stated Vamp. "I suppose we'll never find a way to end all wars," contiuned Vamp as he turned to face the Imperial Guardians. "Dirvert the frigate to the outward position, bring the orbital batteries over Lynion and find the source of the hurricane, rest of the armada, prepare for an assault!" ordered Vamp as he turned back to Merlin who was with him (OOC: if he doesn't join I'll cut this part out)

"War is in our nature Vamp. Ever since the dawn of time, people have fought. It was like that in the beginning, and it will be like that at the end - mark my words" Merlin said, as they stood aboard the frigate

He took out his mobile phone again, and after a moments ringing, he spoke into it

"Мы имеем ситуацию - послать в тяжелых крейсерах"

He put the phone away, and rubbed his white beard

"The board is set - the pieces are moving. My ships will be here within the hour, we will join your armada"

"Going with the heavy cruisers?" replied Vamp to the Russian phase. "Doesn't matter...we'll need to punch through the clouds to get into Lynion without a thunderstorm hitting us," started Vamp as he pushed his intercom closer to his mouth. "All ships, climb over the low pressure system and prepare to make force landings!"

"Well, we don't get to break out the big guns often - we must savour this chance!" chuckled Merlin

"I'd better get to my ships, i'll make contact soon"

He headed out to the P-1117 Kingfisher that was waiting for him on the helipad. As he jumped in, it took off and flew off in the direction of the waiting SRPD Cruisers.

"Good luck Merlin," replied Vamp.

They needed a way to get through the Black Hurricane and it was going to be time before they could get through but then he had to worry about the surface ships. Vamp opened his mouth and out came the Master Inner Spirit as it over looked everything. The icy blue see through spirit turned to Vamp.

"Can you make an opening for our allies?" asked Vamp.

"You must have faith in one self Vamp," replied the Master Spirit.

As they came closer to the Black Hurricane, the Master Spirit stretch out it hands and pulled his hands apart and the clouds were pulled apart. With this in mind, they could easier get through as long they didn't get into trouble. It was also an opening for the surface ships to slip into Lynion waters.

"Can you see the source?" asked Vamp.

"Hunt down the Chamber Tanks to find the source," replied the Master Spirit as it went back into Vamp. Vamp's eyes turned to a frosty blue as the aerial armada was starting to enter Lynion.

Merlin watched through the windscreen of the helicopter. Already, the SRPD ships were in view, and had begun moving towards the temple. The heli came in and landed on the helipad of the lead cruiser. Merlin hopped out and headed up to the bridge

"Lieutenant, what is our current situation?" Merlin asked the masked trooper at the helm

"Sir, all systems are functioning as they should - I estimate our arrival at 15 minutes at our current speed" replied the soldier

"Good. Keep us at this speed" said Merlin, picking up a handheld reciever "Vamp, this is Merlin, do you read me?"

Vamp held out his hands as the Master Spirit flowed through him. The Black Clouds re-formed again but Vamp stretched out his hands and seperated them. He felt the resistance behind it as the Clouds fully pulled back.

'We are as one,' whispered the Master Spirit inside of Vamp.

"I'm hearing you Merlin," replied Vamp in a deep icy voice. "I've made an opening for us to pass into Lynion,"

"Righto Vamp, our ETA to you is about 15 minutes - don't start the party without us" Merlin said into the handset. He turned to the Lieutenant

"Full power" he said bluntly

"The Fungi plague our skies as the Lynion's hide in the dugouts," chanted Vamp to himself. "Pity to those that stand against our time or power. Cleanse the skies so that we may see the path into our borthers and sisters eyes,"

Vamp let out another spell from his hands as the winds started to blow towards the Black Hurricane Clouds. If things went in the favourability of the Allies, then the Lynion's had one thing that the Fungi didn't: Faith.

"Sir, Lynion ship sighted" reported the Lieutenant

"I see Lieutenant" he lifted the handset "All ships, this is Merlin aboard SRS Omega Dawn. We are about to enter Lynion. Be aware of Imperial Fungi ships"

The Lynion's broke into their islands as they headed towards Lynscert Island where the battle was taking place. It would be some time before they arrived and this would give them a chance to land battalions to supress the Minator's before they got any closer to the Temple.

Vamperial Temple's Walls

"Fall back!" shouted Tal Rasha as the walls were being breached. "Fall back to the Temple!"

The Vamperial Knights, Masters and Guardians couldn't hold the walls so they reinforced the blast doors and smashed the controls. Tal Rasha looked up as the temperature had dropped since the fight had started and it felt it was close to 10 degrees. He put it out of his mind as drops of rain started to spit down on them. They carried their wounded with them as the Minator's had breached the blast doors. Tal Rasha went over to the operator as the Lynion's contiuned up the slope while two Panzer X tanks blocked the road to the Temple while the next gate was locked and closed.

They came in sight to the Temple as the men and women were being ushered into the Temple as the blast doors started to close. The wounded went in first as Tal Rasha and the others managed to get in as the rain started to get heavier. He helped get the last of the wounded in as they closed the blast doors behind him. Tal Rasha turned to face the blast doors as there was still Knights out there they were cut off.

"Tal Rasha," called Woff from the other end of the hallway. "We need you in here,"

Tal Rasha nodded his head as warm clothing was handed out to the wounded as the hall was busy with medic's and Vamperial Personal treating the wounded and handing out the last of the ammo and weapons. Fortifications were being setup as the generator's were put on standby as the sentry droids stood guard at the enterances to the chambers. He went into a chamber where the council meets and came face to face with Vamperial Headmaster Jian, Lee and Grand Headmaster Woff.

"We're trapped up here and we can't get word out to Vamp whose coming back with aid," started Woff. "How many Minator's do you think breached the wall?"

"We could be looking at two army corps maybe three at the most," suggested Tal Rasha.

"And we're holding the Temple with two divisions at the most and no way out," stated Woff as he sighed.

"What about the hanger?" asked Tal Rasha.

"The blast doors are locked down due to the weather," stated Woff.

"So we're trapped in the Temple until the weather passes over, Vamp comes back or the Minator's break into the Temple," replied Lee.

"This is going to be a long night," started Woff. "Have the students in the warmest part of the Temple as well as the wounded,"

"Will be done," replied Tal Rasha as he left the chambers.

The fleet of warships decided not to take the route to Imperial Australia but head towards Lynion itself. Under the Cybernetic General Hawkeye, they were going to find an opening and sail through it before it closed up or something happened.

"That's Lynscert Island dead ahead - all assault crews man your stations" Merlin called over his intercom, before turning to the Lieutenant

"You're in command of the fleet - I'll lead the ground forces"

"Yes sir" replied the Lieutenant.

Merlin left the room and headed to the landing deck of the assault cruiser. Several P-1117 Kingfishers sat on the deck, waiting to make the assault on the temple. He climbed aboard the nearest one, grabbing an M5A2 carbine from the gun rack on his way out

"Let's roll out" he shouted to the pilot

"Roger that Captain" replied the pilot, as the helicopter began to lift off. They could see the temple up ahead.

The Temple was quiet for a few moments as the Minator's gathered around it. They studied the blast door for a moment as they stepped back. The Fungi didn't have a weapon that could pound through the blast doors and still keep the Temple intact.

"How do we get inside?" asked one of the officers to the general as the rain turned into snow.

"We'll lay seige to the Temple and we'll strave them out," ordered the general. "We may not have Lynscert under our control but..."

"By the gods what is that?" shouted one officer as they looked to the skies.

The Black Hurricane started to come over them as the thunder strikes happened causing the temperature to fall down again. However, it wasn't the sudden change that caught their attention, it was a ray of sunlight penertrating the Clouds. The blue light striked somewhere far away as the winds started to pick up violently as the beam stopped and the hurricane slightly gained in strength but the Black Clouds were gathering around the hurricane again. Their source was damaged.

Meanwhile

"Think you're able to fight?" asked Vamp to a Vamperial Knight as he stopped him in his tracks.

"Grandfather," started Taishi Ci as he removed his mask. "The dose gave me powers beyond what I could master and it has healed me quicker,"

"Incoming!" shouted a voice over the PA System.

The blast doors suddenly closed as the medical frigate was hit by a set of missiles. Vamp grab hold of Taishi Ci as the ship started to tilt and they ran into a nearby room. They watched as medical equipment started to fall around them before a 3 inch knife stabbed into the wall about an inch from Vamp's head. Glass shattered as the medical frigate was coming down over Lynscert Island.

"All hands! Abandon ship! We're going down over Lynscert Island!" shouted the voice over the PA System.

Vamp smashed into the nearby draw and pulled out a low landing chute. He put the chute on as he went with Taishi Ci and managed to drag themselves over to the door as they looked down. The rail had snapped from all the weight of the medical equipment as Vamp took out the chute and jumped.....

"Sir, the Lead Lynion Frigate is going down - looks like it was hit by Fungi missiles" the pilot informed Merlin. He looked out of the side of the chopper at the burning ship as it began to decsend. He could see a few parachutes

"Pilot, change course, there are survivors from the ship" Merlin told him, before swtching frequencies to the Omega Dawn

"Lieutenant Buckler, be aware that the Fungi are using missiles against Lynion ships - keep the Phalanx systems active at all times"

The Kingfisher came in low, searching for the two parachutes Merlin had seen

Vamp and Taishi Ci held onto the chute as they glided to the ground when they noticed that the Fungi Forces had spotted them. The medical frigate crashed landed into the island but thankful didn't exploded. Vamp came to the ground first as Taishi Ci jumped into the trees before Vamp lost his grip on the cord. He braced himself as he smashed against the side of the tree before falling to the ground and being knocked out cold. Taishi Ci was fine coming down as he landed on his backside.

'Gotta stop doing that,' thought Taishi Ci as he picked up his sword.

He looked at Vamp and found him knocked up as the snow flakes dropped around him. He found the flare in his grandfather's belt and fired a red flare into the sky as he picked up his grandfather's sword. He got the attention of Lynion or Allied Forces in the area as well as the minator's.

"Come on! You guys are so thick, you're mother is Mount Everest!" shouted Taishi Ci as he braced himself.

Merlin spotted the flare. He could see the two Lynions below, but the Minators were close too. He turned to the pilot

"Friendlies in trouble - run a sweep" he shouted

"Roger that Merlin, coming down" replied the pilot, jerking the Kingfisher down to almost ground level. The trees stopped them getting too close, but that didn't matter. As Merlin and his squad jumped down and headed for Taishi & Vamp, the co-pilot of the Kingfisher opened fire on the approaching minators using the Kingfishers twin miniguns. The rounds shredded the trees that stood in the way.

Merlin ran up to Taishi Ci as his squad took up defesive positions and also began firing at the Minators

"You okay?" he asked, shouting over the noise of the miniguns

The Minator's were in full retreat as Taishi Ci stood over his grandfather's body as he held both swords in his hands. Minator's blood was shattered across his face, yet somehow, blood had changed him. The minator's ran at the sight of Merlin as Taishi Ci lifted Vamp up.

"Grandfather has being knocked out cold," started Taishi Ci as he looked at Merlin. "Can you take him away? I have a feeling that he shouldn't be taking part in this battle for the Temple,"

Merlin nodded, then whissled at his men. Two men came running, one with a red cross on his arm

"Get Vamp to the chopper, and get him back to the Omega Dawn. When he wakes, get him whatever he needs" Merlin told them, before turning to Taishi "Do you want to go with him?"

"Vamp is going to be safe and I don't need to be with him at the moment. I am required at the Temple to gather the Vamperial Knights to counter-attack," replied Taishi Ci as he wiped the minator's blood off his face. "Aren't you a fighting commander Merlin?"

The two soldier loaded Vamp into the Heli, and it took off as another landed, disgorging more troops onto the battlefield. Merlin turned back to Taishi Ci

"I am. I'll bring my troops that are landed with you to the temple, and then have the others attack the Fungi combatants from the rear during the counter attack. We should massacre them"

He waved to his troops, who quickly congregated around them

"Okay, the Vamperial Knights are gathering to mount a counter offensive against the Fungi forces. We're going too"

"There's only one way to get to the Temple," started Taishi Ci as he walked with Merlin towards the battlefield before coming into sight of a Fungi Military Base. "There's a slope that goes around a mountain and sitting on that mountain is the Vamperial Temple. It was built to withstand earthquakes and a possible nuclear bomb but its never being proven. To make sure the people inside survived, they had food supplies for five months at the most," explained Taishi Ci as they stopped in front of a forest. "Stay here for a moment,"

Taishi Ci felt a breeze in the air as he went over to the forest. He moved his hands with the wind as he felt the breeze before he cupped his hands over his mouth. He positioned himself that'll make his voice echo through the forest.

"(Lynh'avo'ck)," shouted Taishi Ci in the native Lynion language.

"(Lynk'avo'c)," came the replied in the forest as Vamperial Knights and Vamperial Masters appeared out of their hideouts.

"Nice to see a different face," replied a deep voice werewolf as its eyes glowed red.

"Its nice to find the Vamperial Wolf Company still doing what it does," replied Taishi Ci. "Ranakin would be pleased with your efforts,"

"Its good to hear thanks from someone. We don't get it often," replied a Vamperial Master. "Hmmm... who might these lads be?"

"Merlin - SRPA" Merlin offered his hand to the Vamperial Master

OOC: They underwent a slight name-change about 5 minutes ago.

OOC: I forgotten what you called yourself as.

IC:

"Merlin eh?" replied the Vamperial Master. "My name is Amos and this is the Wolf Company and this is my lieutenant, Vamperial Knight Sofia," finished Amos as a female vampire dressed in the standard uniform came towards them.

"The Minator's are moving up the ramp towards the Temple and it'll be a matter of time before they find a way to open it," explained Sofia.

"Right, well we'd better get moving then" Merlin said, calling his troops up "Do you have a battle plan?"

"The ramp is narrow and short which makes it harder for them to move up," started Sofia. "If we stick with swords and short range weapons, we can force them to attack us with few numbers without having to face the bulk of them. That is the plan to take the ramp,"

"I'm afraid we didn't bring any close range weapons" Merlin told them "If you have a high spot we can occupy, we'll cover you"

"The forest tree tops can give you excellent spots to give us support," started Sofia. "Just pray they don't use Spider Tanks to rip through the forest or there's little chance of getting out of the tree's,"

"Spider tanks?" asked Merlin "I'm sure we can handle them"

He pointed to two soldiers, and then towards the forest. They looked around, and headed off towards the area he had pointed to.

"Are you going to try and defend the Temple from inside, or lead a counter-attack?" Merlin asked Sofia

"The Headmaster's were in the Temple before the attack happened and we were on our way to see them. If Woff is in there, he would've... he would've closed the blast doors which trapped everyone inside of the Temple," explained Sofia. "Spider Tanks are their armour about 20 foot tall but most of the time is 16 to 18 foot high,"

'Why is Sofia worried about Woff?' thought Taishi Ci to himself as Sofia tried not to think about Woff.

"Okay, so you need to clear the Minators off the ramp to get to the Temple door" pondered Merlin, as another Kingfisher came low over the trees, a large wooden crate suspended below it. It fell with a thud, and the two soldiers Merlin had ordered earlier quickly prised it open, retrieving the M500 Portable Miniguns (http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w123/Gazz6666/Minigun.jpg) and ammunition from inside.

"I think we may have the weapons to clear it" he said, turning back to Sofia "We're ready when you are"

"Lets go then," smiled Taishi Ci as Sofia and the other Vamperial Knights and Master's started for the fight. "Just make sure that you do your part and we'll do ours,"

"Don't worry, we will" replied Merlin, watching the snipers getting into position in the trees. The others, armed either with Miniguns, M5A2 Carbines or Light Anti-Armour Rocket Launchers (LAARKs) began following Merlin, Taishi and Sofia

Taishi Ci went with Sofia as they went across the snowy plains. If things went according to plan, then the Temple would be freed.

"You know Woff will be alright," whispered Taishi Ci to Sofia as the group went over the snowy plains.

"I know he'll be alright," whispered back Sofia as she clutched her XM8 assault rifle. "Woff always keeps himself from danger,"

"Heads up," shouted a Vamperial Master from the back of the line. "Minator's got something by the ramp,"

"We'll take the first wave, if you don't mind" Merlin asked Sofia, loading a grenade into the Carbine's underslung grenade launcher, before signalling the Minigunners forward

"Hey Merlin, ever wondered what a Spider Tank is?" Sofia asked as she handed him the field glasses. "The creature is at the bottom of the ramp,"

Sofia pointed out a Huntsman mutated to about 18 foot high with an artillery piece on the back of it as well as a bay that could transport troops to and from a place.

"Yes you can attack first," answered Taishi Ci.

"Hmm, a nice piece of kit, if you can get your hands on it" Merlin summised, watching the giant spider tank "I like to use this though" He lifted up his radio

"Broken Mirror, this is Merlin - I need bombardment on these co-ordinates" he tapped a few numbers & letters into a small PDA and waited for the response

"Roger That Merlin, Comencing Bombardment Now" came the reply over the radio. There were a few seconds of quiet as the Cruiser moved to get a full broadside of it's 12 105mm Cannons. Then, the silence was shattered by the dull thump of the heavy guns as they pounded the tank, kicking up massive clouds of dust from the explosions.

Merlin handed the field glasses back to Sofia, signalled to his troops, and began moving into position to attack the forces holding the ramp.

"This was meant to be a quiet attack," whispered Sofia to Taishi Ci.

"Human's have a thing of being loud," whispered back Taishi Ci as the Vamperial Company moved forward.

Sofia took point as the Spider Tank came under fire giving them a chance to move faster towards the Fungi elements. The battle was about to get under way as Sofia stood by Taishi Ci while they raced across the open plains. Taishi Ci held his swords in his hands as he kicked up the snow and pushed them towards the Fungi.

'I pray that we can get to the Temple in time,' thought Sofia to herself as the Vamperial Company got into the thick of the battle.

Guessing the minators knew they were coming anyway, Merlin and his troops didn't bother with trying to hide as they approached the ramp. Merlin spotted them, and immediately launched a grenade into a group of them as he heard the familiar buzz of the miniguns, attempting to cut a swathe through them. The Kingfishers joined in too, utilizing their .50 cal door guns and miniguns.

Taishi Ci stabbed the minator behind him as his battle dress went with the easterly winds as Sofia covered Ci's back. The minator's were slightly confused as the fighting was starting to get out of hand. The Vamperial Company joined in as they focused on close quarters tactic's as the sound of gunfire could be heard.

"How many are there?" asked Sofia as she decapitated a minator.

"Enought to go around," replied Taishi Ci as he stabbed one minator and with his second blade, duelled another.

Meanwhile at the Temple

"Get ready!" shouted a Vamperial Guardian as the Headmaster's came down the hallway with there Hell Forged Sowrds drawn.

"Go forward brothers and sisters and prepare yourselves," shouted Woff as he turned into a werewolf as the blast doors opened.

The Vamperial Order followed behind him as swords were drawn and they were attempting to leave the Temple. Woff came to the door with a pistol in one hand and his Hell Forged Sword in the other. The doors opened as the minator's realised that those being besieged were making a break for it. Woff charged first as he fired a single round into the general's head causing him to fall over the cliff face as the Vamperial Knights, Masters, Guardians and Headmasters joined in the fight. The sentry droids formed little circles as they started to gun down the minator's. The minator's outnumbered the Lynion's around 6:1 but they had fear struck through their ranks.

It was looking grim. Even as Merlin clubbed another Minator to the ground, before finishing it off with a shot to the head, they were still outnumbered. What's more, with the threat of Fungi missiles, the cruisers had been forced to back off

"How're we doing Sergeant?" Merlin shouted at one of the troopers, who was mowing down some of the Minators

"Running low on ammo Boss!" he replied, reloading his gun

Taishi Ci cut down another Minator before it could rise its axe. The Minator's had a habit of being armed with an axe or a two handed sword. Sofia gave him cover as she noticed that the minator's were being forced back up the ramp while the minator's at the other end of the ramp were trying to get off the ramp.

"Taishi Ci, they've broken out!" shouted Sofia before a minator came behind her.

"Sofia, behind you!" shouted Taishi Ci.

Sofia turned around as she blocked the strike from the minator before her sword was taken out of her hands. She looked around before she was thrown aside the mountain as the minator held her head up high. Taishi Ci cut through the minator's as he was out of reach of Sofia just by an inch as the minator's and the Vamperial Forces were closing in on the minator's. The minator punched Sofia across the face before pounding her against the wall repeatly before a shot was fired. Sofia had her face was bloody as she feel against the wall as the bullet had passed through her shoulder. The minator fell backward as his head was shattered with a bullet as a Vamperial Headmaster had his pistol smoking as he went over to Sofia.

**Bump**

It wasn't going well. SRPA troops were dropping fast, either dead, wounded or out of ammo. Some of them were down to their pistols, knives or worse, their bare hands.

Merlin considered his .44 HE Magnum a godsend as he heard the dreaded dead-man's click while using his M5A2. He threw it to the ground, whipping the hand cannon out as another Minator made a beeline for him. A loud bang and it fell, but almost instantly, another one was on him

"How many more of these can there be" he muttered to himself, loading another set of .44 magnum rounds.

"Woff?" shouted Taishi Ci as Woff appeared and slashed a minator apart. "Did you guys broke out?"

"Hell, we got tired of waiting," replied Woff as the Vamperial Knights were starting to push through the ranks.

Taishi Ci slashed another minator before stabbing a second and finishing off the first. Blood splattered everywhere as the Minator's started to retreat. The Black Clouds were breaking apart as the snow started to melt as the sun broke through the clouds. Two sentry droids were up at the top of the ramp firing down on the minator's as a red flare went up. They waited as the Minator's attempted to get to the bottom of the ramp to retreat from the mad men.

Finally, a breakthrough. The minators were retreating, allowing SRPA medics to land and treat the wounded. Merlin had a slash across his forehead, and he had lost his hat and his coat. He was sat on the ramp up to the temple, and a medic was tying a bandage around his head.

OOC: If you wanted Vamp to come back now, just say he came in with the medics.

"Something isn't right," started Woff as Vamp appeared with the medic's.

"Yes," replied Vamp. "They don't retreat when they have us outnumbered. Go check on Sofia,"

Woff went over to Sofia as he bent down and hailed a medic to come check her out as blood was coming out of her head wound. Lee came down from the Temple as he touched the ground. He looked at Vamp as the breeze was going against them and the fighters were quiet.

"Get all the wounded into the Temple!" ordered Vamp.

"I can feel something coming but the fog is covering their advance," started Lee as he raised his hands towards the fog.

"I feel it too," replied Taishi Ci as he noticed two small rocks were bouncing around at a considerable rate. It was then Vamp realised something.

'Seige Spider Tanks,' he thought to himself.

"Everyone help with the wounded and get a message out to the armada to send an airstrike ASAP!" shouted Vamp.

"By the heavens," started a Vamperial Knight as he pointed to the plains as the clouds spread apart and the fog lifted.

12 Seige Spider Tanks appeared along the front with the minator's behind them. The quick victory was over as everyone was helping to get the medic's up to the Temple.

SRPA troops began grabbing rifles of the floor, loading in some of the ammuntition the medics had brought as they retreated up the ramp. The two troopers with LAARKs fired at the lead Spider tank.

Merlin got up, helping the medic who was trying to get Sofia into the temple, as gunfire broke out behind them.

OOC: Don't mean to be rude, but the Spider Tanks are a fair distance away. I'll be back in a moment by the way.

OOC: I didn't know that, but there are 12 of them. I figured it would be a good idea to hit them with a few rockets before they got too close.

OOC: It's ok and you can fire off rockets if you wish.

The SRPA troops made it inside the Temple. They were running low on everything - ammo, men, morale. It looked hopeless. Only Merlin still had hope, and it kept the others going. They all knew Merlin's history, and how he had advised the SRPA Researchers on Imperial Fungi after the war in 1943.

Meals were being given out as the thumps of rotor's could be heard. Cheers went up as Blackhawks and MK 2 Blackhawks started to decend on the Temple. They landed in the hanger as it bought back morale to the fighters as they started to unload equipment, supplies, ammo and loaded the wounded onto the choppers. With them came napalm bullets which was the greatest weakness for any Fungi creature.

"Start handing out the XM8's," ordered Jian as he was handed fresh clips.

"Yes sir," replied the runners.

The hangers were busy as everything was being unloaded including the finding of a new rocket lunacher that was design to bring down Spider Tanks and the thickest of the armour that could be thrown at them.

"Merlin, get your wounded to the hanger so we can get them to medical frigates," started Vamp as he handed Merlin a box of clips. "These beauties are design to spread napalm throughout a Fungi Creature and kill it quickly. They'll be handed out and if the men require it, we got extra weapons to give them,"

Merlin looked up at Vamp. He removed his bandage from his head, displaying the cut on his forehead. Then, miraculoulsly, the cut slowly closed up. It began to happen with the others too, their cuts and bruises instantly dissapearing. The dead stayed dead, unfortunately.

Merlin took a deep breath. It took a lot of energy to do that, so they didn't do it often. He picked up his M5A2, and pushed one of the clips into it, passing the box off to the next soldier

"It's okay Vamp" Merlin said, slotting his pistol into its holster "We're not dead yet"

"Don't push yourself Merlin," started Vamp as he looked down on him. "If you can't move or your wounds are slowing you down, don't push yourself,"

He looked across as he watched Woff help Sofia get to the Blackhawks as more supplies were being unloaded. He turned back to Merlin and nodded his head as he looked down at the others. He stood up as he walked towards several Vamperial Knights. Then he saw something. It was during the Invasion of Lynion when the Japanese were about to land and he was walking past some of the wounded who were eager to get back to the front. His eyes blinked for a moment as Lee waved his hands at him.

"Sir?" started Lee as Vamp snapped out of it. "Spider Walkers are about an hours march from here, what's the plan of attack?"

"Get them as close to the cliff tops that help defend the Temple. Mine the ramps coming up the cliffs and setup barricades along the ramps coming up to the Temple. When the Spider Tanks come close, fire at the head and the legs to bring the bitiches down," ordered Vamp as everyone turned to him for guidence and tactic's. "Get the wounded and the dead to Lynx Island or to medical frigates,"

"Alright! you heard Vamp," shouted Lee. "All able men down to the front, arm yourselves will only weapons and ammo nothing else. Sentry Droids to be armmed with napalm rounds and napalm rounds are to be handed out. Medical section will get the wounded and the dead to Lynx Island or the medical frigates," ordered Lee.

"We'll be fine" Merlin said "Worry about what's important - defending this temple"

A soldier ran up to him "Sir" he said

Merlin turned to him "Yes?"

"The medics brought some heavy machine guns - where do you want them?" he asked Merlin

Merlin turned to Vamp

"Got anywhere you need more men? We'll help them out" he said

"Have the men spread out over the ramp and the cliff tops. Load napalm bullets to punch through the minator's and the Spider Tanks," replied Vamp.

"Okay" said Merlin, turning to the men "My guys, let's go!" he shouted, as the fully regenerated troops grabbed their weapons and began moving up onto the clifftops, whil the heavy MG's were set up guarding the ramp.

Vamp nodded his head at Merlin as he went outside. He watched the men take up position as he was handed a XM8 assault rifle. He wondered down to the front as barricades were being setup while a handful of engineers were repairing the armour units coming down the slope. He looked around as he went to the wall as the gate was being barricade with destroyed tanks and whatever else they could find. Things were looking desperate as he wondered if things were right. Where they destin to extinct the Fungi once and for all?

The SRPA troops were set up along the ridge, and covering the ramp. The spider tanks were still a way off, but tensions were running high amongst the troops. The two snipers had also returned from their trees, and had taken a position with the others.

When your looking at the men around you, it doesn't occur to you that this might be one of those final hours you might have with them. One of those last moments you would share with them forever. Then it occurs to you, what if...what if we get out of this one?

Taishi Ci and Vamp watched as the battlefield was becoming a hell hole. Spider Tanks were moving up against them and the armoured battalions already sent out against them were nearly wiped out of existance. Only a handful managed to staggered back to the defensive positions.

"Those buggers got us outnumbered," started a tank commander as he got out of his badly damaged Tiger Tank. "They had us out....manovoured and out-flanked,"

"Blasted insects," muttered Vamp to himself as Taishi Ci went to his side.

"Sir, we strong intel that we've got a new weapon that can take down these bitiches," reported in a runner.

"How long until it gets here?" asked Taishi Ci.

"10 minutes at the most," replied the runner.

"Get orders to platoon leaders, tell them to hold the line for ten minutes," ordered Vamp before the first of the shells landed across the front. "Hold the lines!" shouted Vamp as the battle started to begin.

The Spider Tanks were using howitzer's with an average of 8 rounds per barrage from each Spider Tank. Alongside that was the Minator's that were going in front of the Spider Tanks as they came closer to the main front. In the distance behind them was a squadron of Lynion planes or what looked like planes, inbound to the Temple. They had orders to hold out for ten long minutes.

A SRPA trooper sat nearby to Merlin was talking into his radio

"Yes. Ye-Yes sir, i'll tell him" the trooper moved closer to Merlin "Sir, Captain Mitchell's squad is inbound - ETA 3 Minutes. B-Squad is also en-route"

"Alright, we'll hold untill then" Merlin told him "Pass the word along"

Meanwhile

"You sure the baby is going to be alright?" asked the tank commander as he pattered the tank as a ball of flak exploded nearby.

"The dropships are designed to absorb flak rounds," replied the co-pilot as they walked through the hanger. "Besides, the Fungi Flak Rounds can punch anything through the armour of the dropships,"

The tank commander turned back to the seige tank standing next to him as another one was found standing behind it. He looked at the cannon standing on it as the dropship was coming into Lynion airspace. They were originally from Union Defence Base that was creating a new seige tank design to punch holes through walls with one round and most armour.

More Kingfishers flew in towards Lynscert Island. The Fungi flak was heavy, so the doors were closed to stop soldiers falling out

"A-Squad, this is Parker, Captain of B-Squad" a female trooper (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/315/928399_111206_screen016.jpg) called into her radio. Like Merlin, she didn't wear a mask either "We're coming in now - Fungi flak is very heavy here, we-"

An explosion cut off her radio message as the Kingfisher began to fall from the sky. Flak had hit one of the engines, and it was now twisting out of control. It hit the ground some distance from the Temple with a thud, sliding untill it hit some trees. Parker's world went black.

Meanwhile

"A-Squad, this is Parker, Captain of B-Squad. We're coming in now - Fungi flak is very heavy here, we-"

The SRPA trooper looked up as the radio message cut out abruptly. He turned to Merlin

"Sir, I think we just lost B-Squad" he said

"Can't be helped" Merlin said to him "What's the status on those Stalkers (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2008/056/944521_20080226_screen014.jpg)?"

"Still inbound Sir, ETA 1 Minute"

Dropships

"Have the tanks prepare to land," started the pilot as the balls of flak burst around them. "The Fungi are terrible shots,"

"Dingo Escort calling Lead Huntsman," came a pilots voice over the intercom. "We're about 4 minutes from the LZ. We'll be breaking off in a moments time,"

"Copy that Dingos," replied the pilot as they started their decent upon the Temple Grounds. "All tank crews, man your battle stations, we'll be coming in low and fast,"

Tank crews were manning their seige tanks as the dropships were lowering themselves towards the Temple. Tank Commander Link was manning his seige tank as they loaded the first round into the chamber. It was two Seige Tanks per dropship because of the size of the tank and the size of the hull in the dropship. Doors were opening as the engines came online as the eight dropships and their 72 Dingo Fighter Strong Escort, as the tank crews prepared themselves.

Temple Grounds

"We got allied transport planes inbound," started a runner to Vamp as the Spider Tanks started to pound the walls.

"Push our armour up to the walls to form a defensive position," ordered Vamp. "Have everyone concentrate all their power to the nearest Spider Tank,"

Tiger and Panzer X Battle tanks took up battle formation as the Spider Tanks were started to be fired upon. The Spider Tanks backed away a little and charged towards the wall as the minator's started to bring up the ladders to overwhlem the defenders. Taishi Ci was preparing the next line of defence as the Spider Tanks were right on top of the wall.

Merlin and the others readied their weapons. The spider tanks were approaching, and soon would be right on top of them. Suddenly, the thud-thud-thud of Kingfishers rotors could be heard overhead. Several of them were now hovering nearby the temple, with great walking vehicles suspended below each one. The ropes holding each one were detached, and the walking vehicles fell with to the ground with a metallic clunk. After a moment, they stood to their full height - about 3 times the size of a man, with four autocannons and sharp legs that could pierce most armour.

Meanwhile...

Parker began to come around. She was still in the helicopter, but she guessed she was against the right door, because she could see out through the left one. Some of the SRPA troops were lying a few metres outside, evidently killed in the crash. She looked around to see the pilots dead, and then a couple of SRPA troopers came running up to her. They entered the copter, and as one of them took a defensive position the other got down by her, the red cross on his arm clear against the darkness of his protective suit. He was talking to her, but she could barely make out what he was saying

"Ma'am? Ma'am, Can You Hear Me?"

A puzzled look must have come across her face, because he repeated himself a bit louder

"Ma'am, Can You Hear Me?" he said

She nodded slowly

"OK, hang in there" he told her, wrapping a bandage around her arm

The dropships were coming closer as the Spider Tanks contiuned their barrage on the defenders. Medic's were attending to the wounded as one of the dropships was hit by an artillery round but crashed landed on the ground. The hull doors opened widely as the seige tanks rolled out of the dropships before the cockpit of a dropship was hit by an artillery round. The dropship was fine and the seige tank managed to appear out of the hull as the gate was blown apart by the Fungi. Rocks flew in every direction as it took its toll on the defenders but also open the way up.

The Stalkers were quick off the mark. While their autocannons didn't have the range of the Spider Tank's guns, they were considerably faster across the open group. They were soon within firing range, and the heavy cannons opened up on the approaching Spiders

Meanwhile...

It was possible to see the battle between the Spider Tanks & the Stalkers from where the Kingfisher had crashed. Parker watched as the two clashed. There was a sudden crackle from the damaged radio

"Tas..Five, C..tain Mit..ell..Here...We...In..."

Temple Grounds

Merlin jumped as the SRPA trooper shouted to him

"Sir!" he shouted, holding the radio handset out for him. Merlin took it, and put it to his ear

"Task Five, Captain Mitchell Here. We're Inbound"

"You bloody beauty," shouted once soldier as he waved at the seige tank as it took up position.

The seige tanks gathered together with space between them as their heavy cannons aimed upwards towards the Spider Tanks as the Spiders suddenly stopped as they look down on the Stalkers that was between them and the Temple. They started to pick on them as they grouped around them as the first of the seige rounds echoed. A defender watched as the round came apart and a combination of flak, explosivies and sharpnel blasted the legs right off the Spider Tanks. One had a fluk shot with both its behind legs taken off before it collasped with the second round. The Spider Tanks were falling on each other as another round was fired. The round was designed to fire, and when at point blank range, it unleshes flak, explosivies and sharpnel that can tear a body apart. One of the Spider Tanks had its eyes ripped off by the round as the others started to stagger around.

"Go for the heads," ordered Vamp as he fired a bazooka round at the Spider Tank. The men got into the battle as the seige tanks turned their fire on the minators which forced the minators to pull right back.

It was looking like a Victory. The Spider Tanks had been decimated by the Lynion's Seige tanks, and the Stalkers were now bearing down on the Minators, blasting through them with autocannon rounds or stabbing through them using their steel legs

Merlin started firing at the Minators, and the rest of his men followed suit. Then, something bolted past them, laying rocket fire into the Minators. The radio was alive with chatter as the F/A-40 Warhawks (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13816091&postcount=54) swooped in, unleashing hell on the Fungi lines

"There They Are Chaps - Tally-Ho Red Section!"

'By the heavens,' thought Vamp to himself as he lead a small group of Vamperial Masters into a flanking manovour. 'A Chamber Tank?'

"Can't let the smog be unleshed," started a Vamperial Master

"This is Vamp to all forces, we got a Chamber Tank forming up behind the Spider Tanks and the Minators. For any reason, don't let the the Chamber open. Concentrate all fire power to the bay and then the legs to disable the bitich," started Vamp as a flight of Dingos dropped napalm carpet bombing over the Fungi.

'By the heavens,' thought Vamp to himself as he lead a small group of Vamperial Masters into a flanking manovour. 'A Chamber Tank?'

"Can't let the smog be unleshed," started a Vamperial Master

"This is Vamp to all forces, we got a Chamber Tank forming up behind the Spider Tanks and the Minators. For any reason, don't let the the Chamber open. Concentrate all fire power to the bay and then the legs to disable the bitich," started Vamp as a flight of Dingos dropped napalm carpet bombing over the Fungi.

"A Chamber Tank?" one of the SRPA troopers asked Merlin

"I don't know" Merlin told him "I never saw this when I was in Fungi"

"Its a new device, sir," started a Vamperial Knight. "Basically, it controls the minds of people if you breath in the gas. We just thought it was bullshit like usual but we then lost contact with a small human colony. When a scouting party went to check it out, there was a teenage boy and he said that a Spider Tank with a Chamber on the back of it, unleshed a gas that when breathed in, it takes control of the host," started the Vamperial Knight as he fired a single round through a minator. "The only way to take it out is to disable the Chamber Tank itself, kill the creature itself or use a napalm bomb to knock out the chamber,"

"Right" Merlin replied, picking up the radio handset "Captain Mitchell, concentrate your attacks on the Spider Tank with the strange chamber on it's back"

"Roger That Task Five - Keep Your Heads Down, This Is Going To Be A Big One"

Three Warhawks broke away from the main formation. As they came in low to avoid the flak, it was obvious that each one was carrying a large bomb, suspended below each aircraft

"Bombs Away!" came a voice over the radio as they dropped their bombs on the Chamber Tank.

OOC: Good job most of the SRPA troops are wearing breathing apparatus.

As the Seige Tanks blasted against the Chamber Tanks, the Warhawks dropped their payload as things started to go into slow montion. Taishi Ci was on the front lines as the Spider Tanks were finally ripped apart and then the Chamber Tank exploded. The sky went dull orange as the gas evaporated into the atmosphere before the Chamber itself exploded into a small mushroom cloud consuming the Minator's and any surviving Spider Tanks.

"Take cover!" shouted a voice over the intercom.

Taishi Ci pulled the soldier next to him down as the explosion happened. Blood splattered across the battlefield as the Fungi had finally being wiped out. Taishi Ci poke his head above the trench as he watched blood start to become stale and solid. Cheers went up along the front lines as the battle had ended but the war, was going to be much longer.

OOC: There's going to be a post focused on the last days of the Fungi War.

Vamp was slightly infected by the smog as he wandered through the weckage without a gas mask on as he examined the destruction of the Imperial Fungi Army. He watched the clouds break apart as the soft rays of the sun beammed down on him as he turned to the Temple. Vamp started to walk towards the Temple as the Master Spirit came out of his body and walked beside him.

"At what price is freedom paid for?" asked Vamp to the Spirit as they walked.

"There is no just price for freedom," hissed the Spirit back. "What matters now, what are you going to do with the Fungi?"

"Do you think that I should decide the fact of their race?" asked Vamp.

"This is the time when the world watches Lynion. Does it extinct a race for attacking it or will it let it pass into nothing?" replied the Spirit.

Vamp nodded his head as the Spirit returned into his body as he went back over to the Temple. He looked around as he learned that about 10,000 men have died in defending the Vamperial Temple, Lynscert Island and Lynion itself. The Fungi on the other hand had the back bone to its military might broken with no chance of recovering.

1 Week Later
Battle for Pacific Jin Sea

With Imperial Australia finally on their side, Lynion forces and the Imperial Australian Navy smashed the Fungi navy elements using various tactics to encircle the Fungi Navy and smash them apart within two hours. With the Fungi Navy nearly annihilated when faced with the combine forces of VATO, Vamp decided to show some compassion and gave an offer of surrender to the Fungi. This failed when the Fungi Air Force managed to sink 12 Imperial Australian warships, damage 18 more and crush the Coalition Forces cooperation. On the advice from Vamp, the Imperial Australians withdrew from the war as they tried to recover from the heavy losses.

1 week, 3 days later since the Battle for the Temple
Operation: Hell March First Chapter

With the Fungi Air Force still a threat to the Lynion Operations, Vamp devised a plan to draw out the enemy air force and destroy it in one foul swoop. Using a tactic by Hitler during the Battle for Britain, the Royal Vampeiral Air Force (RVAF) bombed key military targets, cities and other key sites. With the bombings happening, the Fungi Air Force was drawn out into a trap set by Vamperial Grand Headmaster Woff and Vamp and the Fungi Air Force was masscared by a much smaller force. With morale rising, the Lynion's blockarded the country.

4 weeks since the Battle for the Temple
Operation: Hell March Final Chapter

With Fungi going into stravation, Lynion Forces sent another demand for full surrender. It was replied with an engagment between Fungi Ground Forces and Lynion Ground Forces. Weak, under strength and over stretch, Fungi Forces were to give no quarter to the Lynions. Naturally, the Lynion's didn't give any back and the Fungi were masscared again. With no navy left to fight for their waters, a weak army and air force to defend the home land, the Fungi Forces were pushed back to the holes that they once came out of.

Then, for the last time, Vamp sent one last plea to the Fungi Master to surrender to Lynion Forces or face utter extinction for breaking the VATO Treaty in an act of war.

2 months since the Battle for the Temple
Final Showdown

Vamp threw the telegram aside as he gave the order to extinct the Fungi and put an end to their traitorious behaviour. The might of Lynion was given as it blasted the cities into oblivion as the last of the Fungi were finally extinct.
