Osean Command centre, Mount Anfang, Osea

An emergency meeting had been called in the osean command centre. The Defense staff and the most important members of the goverement had all arrived in an immense complex carved deep into Mount Anfang and capable of surviving a nuclear attack. It had an immense mainframe computer for connecting the defense staff to all parts of the military and sorting out all in formation and communications according to their importance. There were three backup computers just incase anything was to happen to it. Everyone who had arrived was now assembled in a large room with a large number of displays, which at the moment were showing information and maps of the Nevera Emirate.

Emperor Alexander II gave a look at the reports, then said " It seems the emirate has refused to stop its raids on our borders or to sort out the pirate that keep attacking our shipping. They have also refused to accept our offers of using osean forces to control the various terrorist and piratical groups. They have also caused prblems for osean buisness in the region. I wish to hear your advice on a military solution". George Fox, Chief of the Defence Staff immediadly replied " We have a plan sorted out. There wont be any problems defeating the Neverians and they are right next to our border so there are no supply problems. The main problem will be the risk of other countries intervening, but we can easily find an excuse to justify our intervention." Alexander looked at the plan then at the people in the room, then said "If there are no other issues ?". No one said enything. "Then this meeting is over".

We have breaking news. Just hours ago, the osean military launched an attack on the Nevera Emirate, quickly taking the Neverian capital Alendal. According to the Osean goverment, this attack was in reponse to an attack by Nevera. There have no official responses by other goverments yet. We intend to keep you informed of any other developments."

OOC: There are a few points I wish to add. First, as far as I know, there is no Nevera Emirate. I have created it for this RP. I also wanted to keep this limited and conventional, such as no 1,000,000+ armies and no WMDs as I have created this RP for the purpose of getting some experiance in RPing and fighting wars. I will keep to that rule myself.

As you and the world very well know, you very recently invaded the Nevera Emirate. We would like to know, what was the reason behind this. Surely a nation as small as Nevera would not think to attempt to harm you, and yet, you claim they did. Furthermore, the details surrounding this supposed Neveran aggression are sketchy at best, most of them nonexistant. So, with this lack of evidence we have been forced to ask ourselvs this question: Why did Osea invade Nevera? Upon reaserch, we learned of you trouble with pirates. We learned that you demanded that Nevera take care of these pirates, even though they were completely ill equiped to deal with such a problem, themselvs being the target of various terrorist groups and being unable to do anything about it. We asked ourselvs, would a nation such as yourself really stoop this low over something a petty as pirates? You have been warned. The Allied States of New Kereptica and the international community behind us will not stand for such a blatant disregard of the rights of sovereign nations! I bid you quickly reconsider.

We have evidence that the Neverian Goverment has been behind a number of kidnappings and murders of Osean nationals. As for the terrorists ,the Nevera Emirate welcomes them with open arms, fills their ranks with Neverian volunteers, gives them arms and equipment and then aids them in penetraiting our borders. The Neverians recently launched an attack on our border, taking many oseans prisoner before they were repelled. The area they attacked was well developed economicly. Our intelligence suggests that they thought we would not retaliate because they thought they were small enough that osea would ignore them and not retalite. It has been nessesary to attack and occupy Nevera because they have shown themselves to have no respect for international law and have harbored terrorists.

Did you ever give any thought to diplomatic action before you decimated Nevera? Did you ever ask for international assistance with this problem? No. You decided to take the law into your own hands. You became as bad as the terrorists that Nevera supposedly harbors. All that is in the past however. You have made your point. Withdraw immidetly from Nevera and finance rebuilding efforts. A peacekeeping and administrative force will arrive shortly after your withdrawel. Provide evidence of these terrorists and you may even escape sanctions.

**OFFICIAL STATEMENT**

The Commonwealth of Tolvan denounces the actions of the Neveran Emirate in its continued support of piracy and terrorism. However, we feel that the invasion of said nation by the Holy Empire of Osea 767 causes further instability and raises the spector of further conflict in the region.

As a result we will be increasing naval and air patrols of the area to monitor the situation. These forces have no hostile intent but will defend themselves if attacked.

We hope a peaceful compromise can be reached as quickly as possible.

The normally quiet Johnston Air Force Base was bustling with activity this cold fall morning. All 10 of the massive Z-901 Transport Zeppelins housed at the base were being prepped for flight. Huge hoses 3 feet in diameter were connected to the Christmas-tree pump at the center of the airfield, and from there were rolled out in a radial pattern to the 10 hangers which housed the zeppelins.

From his office at the top of the Air Traffic Control tower, it looked to General Pnebsky like a spider was constructing a web in the middle of his airfield. The men and vehicles scurrying around on the ground resembled ants caught in the web, both in their shared industriousness and their air of frantic energy. As Pnebsky stared out the window, a frightened Staff Sergeant clambered up the spiral stairs leading to the General's office.

“General, sir!” saluted the Sergeant.

“Yes Sergeant?” said Pnebsky as he returned the salute.

“The zeppelins are almost finished fueling and all but one is at over 50% optimal pressure. They should be in the air within the hour and at the Kaara armory in under 3. The bombers, fighters, and transport aircraft from the Vuula Air Force Base are already in the air, carrying 4000 of the volunteers.” said the Sergeant

“Very good. Send my praise to Major Yanick. Only he could do so much at such short notice. Dismissed.” replied Pnebsky

As the Sergeant scurried down the stairs, Pnebsky turned back to the window and sighed.
“God,” he though “I really hope the President is right about Osea. I would hate to loose such good men in such a pointless conflict.”

My apologies for the shortness, but it's late where I am. Also, I am taking a bit of a leap assuming an airport around the Emirate's capital is unoccupied, but I'm hoping nobody thinks it's too big a leap. The place has recently been invaded, after all.

My forces that I have sent are a unit of black soldiers commanded by white officers. I am not a racist, but I RP this country with a racist government and racial division laws. Just thought I'd let you all know.

It was early morning when the aging, but well-maintained C-141 came in and landed hard in the dawn gloom at the Alendal Airport, taxied in quickly and came to a halt. The sound had barely died, when the tail ramp had begun to open, and several figures came storming into view from within the aircraft’s cargo hold. All wore camouflage and carried weapons in their hands. Most of them were black, with a few whites here and there.

For one Staff Sergeant Saiful Abd-Allah, as with many of his fellow soldiers, this mission happened to be his first outside Saphronia. As he went prone on the tarmac he prayed that it would be a calm, uneventful assignment. To his left and right, seven men went prone as he had done. They were his squad, his men.

His was 1st Squad, 1st Platoon, 4th (Reconnaissance) Company, 17th Light Infantry. As the landing zone’s security was not guaranteed it had been decided to send the 4th Company’s highly trained light scout forces ahead first, to secure it. That was two infantry platoons, a recon drone platoon, and the company’s own vehicles. The infantry were on the first load in, and a second plane coming shortly would bring the drone platoon, the vehicles and the individuals who operated them. The rest of the 17th would be along shortly.

The Osean Forces had not set up their headquarters in the Nevera Emirates capital as it was considered to be not fully under osean control. Instead their headquaters was a mile outside the capital and consisted of a large number of prefabricated buidings and tents behind a number of defensive lines and barbed wire fenses. General Arther Wolsey was with his staff in a large command and control vehicle, looking over maps and reports. Wolsey turns to his cheif of staff and said " Any new information?". His Chief of staff replied " We have recieved a message from the Defense Staff. They have accepted peacekeepers from New Kereptica and Saphronia. We have been told they have arrived in the area recently". Wolsey was silent for a moment, then he said" Very well. Sent a message to both forces asking their commanders to meet with us to discuss what should be done about the situation".

Mostly this is giving a basic image of a character, and his soldiers, etc...

Lieutenant-Colonel Mahir Thabo had been fifteen years in the PSA. He had recently risen in rank to command the 17th Light Infantry Battalion. While some PSA officers would die if placed in command of black troops Thabo was not so discriminatory. When he watched his men perform, he did not see blacks in uniform. He saw capable soldiers performing as impressively as any white force. Some people whispered that he had requested his present location in terms of assignment specifically when he was transferred. Most dismissed that kind of talk as nonsense…but, it was actually true. Thabo often found black soldiers were harder, complained less, and did tough work more willingly than white men.

He contemplated that notion as he watched A Company securing one end of the airfield, a long line of soldiers advancing just like a practice drill across the tarmac. The races didn’t have any real differences beyond skin color, but blacks in Saphronia lived hard, and when life was hard, it produced hard people. When you had to work seven days a week, hauling iron from a hole or plowing fields just to feed the children, it had an affect on you. Blacks in the military were even harder, really, since drill instructors did their best to break black recruits in training camps.

“Colonel, sir?” The voice shook his concentration. Sergeant-Major Wassim Rashad stood in front of him, rigidly at attention.

“Sergeant-Major,” the Colonel said, turning to face him. “What is it?”

“Colonel, sir, that aircraft which just lifted brought in the last of the troops and equipment in the battalion. You ordered me to alert you when that happened.”

Nodding and looking around himself, Thabo smiled before turning back to Rashad.

“Very well, Sergeant-Major. Thank you for the report. Please go inform Major Boitumelo he is to meet me by my command vehicle in ten minutes time.”

Dear Osea,
The Commonwealth of Resclonia wishes to make it known they will be strictly neutral in this conflict. We will withdraw all diplomatic staff from both nations and we are considering further action. This conflict seems to be dangerous and we will make sure Resclonian citizens are safe from the ongoing conflict.
This conflict has damaged Osea's reputation with us, along with Nevera's reputation being damaged.
Still, we will send in aid to both nations if the time requires. No military action from the Resclonian Army will take place.

OOC: Really sorry that I didn't respond sooner. I havn't seen this thread in a while and kind of assumed it died.

A single helicopter spead out ahead of the transport zeppelins. The black body of the helicopter was sillhouetted against the white helium balloons on the zeppelins. As the column headed toward the outskirts of the Neveran capital, the helicopter veered out, turning toward the massive Osean military base. As it flew, it radioed the base:

"Osean 6th Army. This is General Lancaster, commander of the Kereptecian Peacekeeping forces sent to the Neveran Emirate. I wish to speak with General Wosley."

OOC: No problem. I thought it was dead too.
IC: A Osean air traffic controller replied " This is Osean air traffic control. We have been expecting you. We will direct you you the nearest Helipad to General Wolsey". The location of the Helipad was then sent to the Helicopter. On the ground Gerneral wolsey was notified and he then went to the pad to greet the Kereptecian commander . He arrved just as the Kereptecian Helicopter was landing.

OOC: Zot109land, as there is not much happening on this thread, I wiil allow you to have a beachead on the north-west coast of Nevera.
