The Plot

Luc Ricard (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/nukrof/Frenchman1.jpg), a crafty Zinairian(/international?) bank robber, has just pulled off his biggest heist yet. He has ripped off a vault full of the first lady's (http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wiki/Kristin_Bishop) prized jewelry. The absurdly gaudy, diamond-studded pieces are estimated to be worth tens of millions of dollars.

Now, with a suitcase full of diamonds, Luc is attempting to flee the country. Unfortunately for him, crack ZNPD investigator Margaret Jackson (http://www.elsanga.com/db4/00328/elsanga.com/_uimages/elsangaWeb1.jpg) is on his tail and will stop at nothing to recover the jewelry.

Ultimately, Luc will arrive in his native country– the Mediterranean tax haven and moral cesspool of Bévue (http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wiki/Bévue). Will Margaret be able to find him in this backwards, strife-ridden city-state?

Where You Come In

Will this might be a lot of fun as a story thread, it will be better with some multinational involvement. That's why I'm opening this up to the capable RPers of II. Play as another cop, someone with a grudge against Luc, an old friend willing to help him out, a new acquaintance that will join Luc on his journey or anything else you can think of.

Also, you could request that Luc goes through your nation on the way to Bévue (especially if it's between the Caribbean and Mediterranean). Once there, your citizens and police will get to join in the fun until he moves on to the next nation.

Additional Notes

For the purposes of this RP, real world geography will prevail where it's not explicitly replaced by an NS nation (e.g., Bévue taking the place of Monaco).

Also, bear in mind that this isn't intended to be a serious tactical RP. It's much more a light-hearted criminal romp across the Western Hemisphere. In other words, don't get to caught up with "winning" (whatever that means in this context).

I'll only be selecting about half a dozen people (if I even get that many) to play as other characters and only about 3-5 stopovers in other nations.

If Luc stops in your country, you'll be responsible for RPing all of your own police, etc.

Make sure you have time to do this. If you can only check II twice a week and make ridiculously chronologically asynchronous posts/hold us up, I'll kick you out.

Biography: As a single mother living in a poorer neighborhood of Zinaire City, Margaret had to learn to handle herself. After she single-handedly got to the bottom of a string of arsons in her neighborhood that had stumped the cops, she was offered a job with the National Police. Her innocent appearance and excellent shooting skills (not to mention stereotypical sass) quickly elevated her to a top investigatory role. Now a grandmother, Margaret is still solving crimes like it's 1999.

If you pull out an uzi that wasn't listed here, you'll catch some flack for it, but it's fine if you omit a breath mint or something else unimportant) ZNPD Badge, Z$200 in cash (Z$ = numer, which has around a 2:1 exchange with the USD), credit card, glasses, Glock 27 (concealed), handcuffs, passport, arrest warrant, cell phone, tazer.

Biography: General Dick Biondi, served the king, for many years, and was in charge of the protection of the Royal Palace during the "Religious Rivival"(Revolution) lead by Edwardo Listless. However, he was called away from his post, days before Edwardo Listless's forces stormed the palace, and Edwardo Listless beheaded the King. When news reached him of the Kings beheading, he fled the country, and started a new life in Stoklomolvi, where he ran a successful business as a private investigator, working more often for those on the run from the law, than for the law itself. Life was fairly good for him, until civil war fractured Stoklomolvi, and reminded him of his past failures. He now drifts from place to place, standing up for what is right, and if the price is right, standing up for what is wrong.

I'm not really sure why they'd end up there, seeing as how the end destination is in Mediterranean area.

Biography: The twin brother of merc/bounty hunter David Curtis, Drake decided to pursue intelligence work rather than the military. He and his brother have had a falling out of sorts due to ideological differences, and haven't seen or spoken to one another in years. Taking his years of training in the GRU, Drake went into the private sector, distinguishing himself as a capable PI. His contacts and friends in the intelligence services still help him occassionaly, making his jobs much easier.

After graduating college and studying abroad, she became a respected art dealer who moonlighted as a thief. she is very skilled in agility, hacking, and stealth. Her highlight was managing to steal the Mona Lisa just for fun. She lives for the next thrill.

Nationality: Gutter Alfegan
Role: Fego'soi in the Alfegan Mafia
Biography: Adopted from city orphanage in New Zevkhay by the Fego'fai (head of the Alfegan Mafia), he soon rose up to command a large smuggling operation between Alfegos and the rest of the world. Trained aboard an airship as the Fego'fai's pilot, so able to fly such a craft. Currently posing as Hu'so Smith, a merchant airship sailor who takes "special" deliveries and immigrants, for the right price.

Inventory: F-1 Pistol (carried at all times), Combat knife, False Passport, Mobile Phone, Keys to the airship.
The airship he captains has a small onboard supply store for food and ancillaries, locked emergency crates (which only unlock when removed from the airship), and a concealed onboard armoury holding ten AF-07 assault rifles and an AAT-87 missile launcher, along with sufficient ammunition. Crew members are armed mostly with false passports and papers, as well as shivs of varying nature (from plastic knives to lead piping).

What I was thinking was that the Mafia could give the thief a lift and get him false paperwork on their way to some destination, but when it becomes apparent he has a load of jewels on him they go towards Alfegos, and intend to murder him. However, maybe last lot of authorities could tip off the Alfegans, so one of the air patrol vessels pops in to lend a bit of a hand.

So I was hoping I could be a part of this, I love law enforcement RP'ing. I'll however sign up only my nation, since I doubt my capabilities to stay with you guys all the RP.

What action are your authorities likely to take? Supposing the VL law enforcement has been told to look for him by the Zinairian law enforcement, they'll be on the lookout and pursue him. This can be with municipal police units, Marechaussee (military police/Gendarmerie, also responsible for customs duties, etc.) or the Autobahnpolizei. Your call.

Alfegos, your character certainly sounds fun and I was hoping to work in an airship (like in that one Indiana Jones. You're approved. As for a stopover in Alfegos, it's way out of the way, so I'm not sure how that would work. If you could come up with something....

Biography: Luc immigrated to Zinaire with his parents when he was five years old. When he was ten, he staged a break-in, stole his mother's jewels, pawned them, then invested the money under a false name. When he was eighteen, he moved out of the house and began a high-rolling lifestyle funded by the diamond money. However, this money soon ran out and Luc began a life of crime. He's suspected in a number of high-profile heists, but the police have never found enough evidence to convict him. His lifetime takings are estimated to be more than $50 million.
