Oslean Military Convention - Come show your wares!

Oslea

To All Nations and Defence Companies of the World

Greetings,

The military of Oslea is looking to replace its older equipment with newer, more effective systems. With General Armaments, Oslea's main weapons manufacturer, unable to come up with new designs, we decided to turn to the international community for a solution to our problem.

To help us get what we need, and help you sell your wares, Oslea has decided to hold a Military Convention for all nations to show their wares. No nation is barred, so if you have a weapons system that you are interested in selling don''t hesitate.

The convention will take place in Area 65, a former Oslean airbase now with empty hangars and a runway. Simply contact our Secretary of Defense for a spot, and he will arrange for a hangar for you to showcase your equipment. In the case of naval equipment an advertisement will suffice.

Oslean equipment to be replaced, or needed:

Aircraft Carriers/Dreadnoughts, as well as their supporting fleet

Equipment the military may be interested in

An improved mobile AA system

Improved Air-to-Air missiles and Air-to-Ground missiles for fighter jets and helicopters

Out of the $1 trillion Coams allocated for Defence spending, Oslea is willing to set aside $600 billion Coams for spending for new equipment.

Oslean Coams are currently at the exchange rate of $0.5248 Coams = $1 NS.

Thank you,

Harry Westmoreland
Secretary of Defence of Oslea

(OOC: You don't have to post asking for a spot. Just post while showing off your stuff.)

If it is aircraft carriers you need, the Imperial Shipyards of Anemos Major have two unconfigured Mistral-class aircraft carriers, due to be scrapped. Designed in 1974, these carriers run on oil engines, and they are priced at about 990 Million each. They care lightly armoured, armed with two SAM launchers and two ASROC launchers. THey can carry roughly 16 aircraft each.

(OOC: Mobility and stealth are trade-offs, and mutually exclusive rather than complementary. Should I design something stealthier than the F-22 without tech-wanking, such design would have inferior mobility compared to the F-22. Should I design something more mobile, it would be less stealthy. Unless it involves a smaller stealth fighter which will have a reduced RCS even if more mobile, but will come with other disadvantages as well. You can't have the fastest, most mobile, stealthiest, toughest and most armed fighter, you can either have a "jack of all trades, master of none" or specialize, having strengths and weaknesses)

OOC: This is time-stamped after my Civil War.

The Holy Marsh is getting rid of many thousands of the HAT-1 Sparky MBTs, which is vastly superior to the M1A2 or any other RL MBT. Because this is excess stock, we will sell each tank at $2 milion, which is only a quarter of how much it cost to produce. If Oslea wishes it, we could share with the nation the stats for the HAT-1.

RE: Military equipment purchase

Secretary Westmoreland

It is our pleasure to offer to you the various wares available through Lyran Arms (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=541320). They include LY4 Wolfhound and LY7 Rottweiler tanks, LY6 Werewolf assault guns/tank destroyers, various small arms, warships, surface to air missile systems, and more. All the equipment is NSDraftroom approved, and designed by (OOC: former RL) military personnel, for military needs. We are firmly of the opinion that the equipment offered by Lyran Arms is the best in its class. It will not be cheap, but it is, universally, highly effective.

If you want the most combat-effective equipment, designed with a 'money-is-no-object' philosophy to optimise combatant output, then Lyran Arms can cater for your requirements.

To General Aleksandr, Director of the Lyran Governmental Trade Department

We are very interested in your LY4A1 Wolfhound MBTs, which fit our description for an improved tank almost perfectly. We shall be placing an order for them at your storefront shortly.

We would also like to inquire about a production license for your MBT.
